6601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETHEREUM UNDER ATTACK BY EOS (with crowdfunded 50ETH/hour!) on: July 18, 2018, 05:08:12 AM
Ok. Taking my popcorn now and see how it goes. Lol.

I don't have EOS because I don't think this is just another coins for the same purpose, pump-and-dump. But when it was touted to be the ETH killer, it gained some grounds from some investors. Looks like they are replicating what Bitcoin Cash (BCH) did to Bitcoin last November 2017, but we all know what happens next. I have yet to digest all the info you posted here but it really looks very interesting.  Grin
6602  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin May Soon Be Worth Nothing on: July 17, 2018, 01:58:04 AM
Well a lot of people call Bitcoin fraud and worth nothing, but when the price soaring high they will back and invest in Bitcoin, it's true that Bitcoin is not being backed up by anything, but the one that makes Bitcoin valuable because of the people's support, most people interested in Bitcoin because it got unique feature and it can be used as currency and asset

I think everyone should be really be careful of those articles circulating around. Well the only argument that keeps popping is not bitcoin is not back up by anything and based on pure speculation. But guess what, they are also speculating on the price. Lol. How ironic. They kept saying that bitcoin will down, blah, blah but behind they have their own agenda, buy it when the price really hit rock bottom because they really know that bitcoin and crypto can offer, big potential money. How ironic.!!!
6603  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why Bitcoin Will Hit New Highs - ETF Date August 10th on: July 17, 2018, 01:10:02 AM
The August 10th date is a crucial one. Depending on what will be decided about BTC ETF the market will take a very clear direction. I'm quite optimistic, in which case that would be the moment of the reverse of the trend.

I wouldn't put enough weight on that news if its the US SEC approving bitcoin ETF, but if its EU we still don't know the effectiveness of such approval.

Still, Bitcoin revolves around the ring from $ 6200 to $ 6800, where the price proved to be stronger than $ 5,000 and less than $ 7,000 so far.
The news is good for those skeptical that bitcoin is weak and the price may collapse but is not reassuring for those looking for quick profit as the Betcuen is close to stability and stop the fluctuations.
Regarding the recent rise, I think that's why ----> Schnorr Is Looking Poised to Become Bitcoin's Biggest Change Since SegWit

However bitcoin price started bumping in the market today. We need to check the marketplace value growth on other altcoins also then go with the right coin which is being cheap now and potential to grow more in future.
Please hurry up and make your investment now. You will get the profit more in the market.

It just the price swing repeating its self again. The price suddenly pumps today, for whatever reasons, but I wouldn't be too excited but be another bull trap or a dead cat bounce so just stay vigilant. Remember a few weeks back we went from $6300-$6800 then fall again to $6200 levels and now we are seeing the same pattern again, just saying.
6604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we change the public's view of Crypto world? on: July 16, 2018, 05:31:11 AM
We can do more to make the world of Crypto really appealing to people. One of the best ways  that we can use to promote bitcoin and boost investor confidence is when we speak  good things about this wonderful cryptocurrency.  People get scared  when speculations about Crypto especially bitcoin are always negative.

Tell me what avenue is a good way to speak bitcoin and crypto? Facebook? Twitter?. Those 2 giant social media websites have been plague with crypto promotions that's why they are making a hard stance against it. Personally, I have done my share, telling friends and family members on the potential of crypto, but sadly no one listens to I'll just keep mum about it. Let crypto take its natural course and perhaps people will really discover it and at least they do their due diligence to study them unlike spoon feeding them on how to invest/trade.
6605  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin again 6k$..... on: July 16, 2018, 05:01:44 AM
For the second day, the price of BTC has been growing.  Looks like the price will again be $ 7000 soon.  I think it would be good.

Let's say we see if we can hit $6500-$6800 again before we can discussed going to $7K soon. Remember we have been hovering on that price range at the start of July and everyone is jumping for joy and singing praises that the bulls has finally arrived. But then what happens? We fell again to $6200 range. So just a piece of advise, don't overact, just wait till we see the price has strong support and slowly consolidating, and then we can discuss the price going to $7K. Right now I don't see those 2 pre requisites present.
6606  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is falling. So what? on: July 15, 2018, 07:00:19 AM
There is one funny thing about bitcoin, it does not move in respect to anyone's emotion, but gives some very good profits to those who stands with it at its time of deeps. Bitcoin does not just stand and move upwards only, at times it falls and move downwards. It always moves back up, and that's for sure. HOLD!!

Or at times if will completely go on the opposite direction. When majority of people are full of emotions and telling us tot sell because the price is going down, but the next day we will find bitcoin on the recovery phase, funny indeed. So just to remind everybody to look at bitcoin previous performance and see how its good to make a reversal. It might take long for the market today to recover because its really struggling, but at the back of our minds we can count on another massive bull run pushing the price above 5 digits again.
6607  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the best time of the day to study about Economics? on: July 15, 2018, 06:29:28 AM
I am currently enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and we have this subject called Economics, I just want to ask when is the best time to study about Economics (and also other subjects). Is it better to study at night or early morning? What's your study routine guys?

Lol. There's no perfect time to study as far as I know. If you feel like reading your books, then do it, otherwise if you are tired but insist on continuing to study then its just a waste of time. But during my college days, I always study when i woke up, because my mind is fresh and I can absorb better. Another tip is don't do crunching, that is, just studying when their is a exam or studying close to exam days because for sure you will not take all everything in just one sitting.
6608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is Bitcoin largely used on deep web? on: July 15, 2018, 05:39:40 AM
Probably it is, since its one of the biggest crypto name, if not the biggest. However, those who seek anonymity through bitcoin can be track down because we all know that its not 100% anonymous. So if you are going into deep web to buy illicit stuff, you better think again. And you also have to understand that 2 of the biggest darkweb's illegal market, Hansa and Alphabay has been shutdown by the Feds since last year.

6609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What’s hot in June? on: July 15, 2018, 04:31:49 AM
I agree with most of the comments here. We thought that June will bring something drastic, however, its still the same bearish market that we have been experiencing since the start of 2018. And there's no "hot" coins, except perhaps for a few altcoins whose purpose is for dump-and-dump and then takes profits. And again, we are in the mid of July and the same trend continues. As much as everyone really wishes that we all should be by one at least on a bullish trend, but most likely we will keep on struggling and the best price that we could see bitcoin is around $10K at the end of the year.
6610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of hacks, whats the solution? on: July 13, 2018, 12:11:27 PM
Hardware and paper wallets is a good choice and then its your responsibility to protect your private keys and we all know that there's a lot phishing sites so bookmark the legit and don't enter it because you might end up on a fake site.

I also agree that DEX is not the solutions, because hackers will always be there at our back looking for that perfect time to exploit and steal our funds. We might be clamouring for exchanges to be very vigilant of any suspicious activity on their front and back end and make the necessary adjustment in cases of a potential hack (like suspending withdrawals).
6611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is worth buying coins under $1? on: July 13, 2018, 11:39:39 AM
As per my experience, yes, buying a lot of coins worth under $1 is good. But you really have to monitor the price like everyday and should be ready to dump anytime if you see you made good profits already. I don't see they holding for long, maybe a few good coins, but most of the coins I have bought have been simply pump-and-dump scheme. So I just ride the way with those pumpers and take profits and then put re-invest my profits.

I totally forget about this bounty. Lol. But thanks to @FrueGreads for updating the signature spreadsheet. I participated in this campaign for 3 weeks so I will monitor this thread and wait for the payment from MNL team.
6613  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bear market behind us now? on: July 07, 2018, 03:09:20 AM
I wouldn't say that we are out of the woods because bitcoin you will know how this market reacts for every FUD and negative news coming along. And its impossible not to hear and read them everyday that might sway some newbie investors to push the sell button.

But I think this is the first time that we have seen started a week on a positive note and might end it as well on the green. Pretty stable around the $6500 range. Might be a sign that the bears are losing grip and bulls taking over, but I'm not that confident so let's see how it goes for next week if $7K can be touch.
6614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 07, 2018, 02:34:03 AM
@harizen. When was the last time Manny Pacquiao was knocked out by an opponent, and what are the chances that Lucas Matthysse can do it? It might make the fight more entertaining to bet on Lucas knocking out Manny and wait for that to happen hehehe.

If my memory serves me right, JMM (Juan Manual Marquez) was the last boxer who KO Manny, it was not just a KO, it was a KO heard all over the boxing world... hehehehe.

Of course Lucas has a big chance of also scoring a KO because he is also a KO artist specially during his peak. He has several wars in the past, however, with Manny's experience, I don't think that he can get one because Manny has change a lot. He strategised, and doesn't have that mentality to go after his opponent and look for a quick KO.

6617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN won't die, period. on: July 06, 2018, 12:00:12 AM
As you can see that BTC is the largest crypto among all in the market, I just really do not understand why people like to claim that BTC is about to die, do not easily fall for these kinds of topics and think that Bitcoin is dying, put some research on it, its just another person's opinion but again it is misleading. One last thing before you reply, this is extremely important and might be a big help for you (especially for newbies) avoid agreeing with such wrong info given to you, be sure to take extra care in replying, and the most important part of all is that you should make some research and do not forget to read the thread (if necessary) it is also important as you can gain new information from other people, though just make sure that what you are reading is very much legitimate.

Thank you and feel free to respond, I wanna see your insights about this.

Those people who are spreading lies about bitcoin has some sinister plan from behind. They wanted to spread lies and rumour so that the market or the price will go down that they comfortable bought a lot of coins and make a lot of money. So it doesn't really make sense at all to listen to them because bitcoin will really not die at all. It may suffer from this FUD but once everything settles down, at the end of the day, people will still pour their hard cash on it. And for those who believes on FUD and push the sell button, I'm sure that one day you will regret listening to them because of the missed opportunity.
6618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The most unpredictable coins you've bought on: July 05, 2018, 11:43:21 PM
We all know about high volatility of the coins price. Have you ever experienced a situation when the coin you bought showed totally  unpredictable behavior? For example, you didn't think it would rise, but it did - and much! Or vice versa?

Ripple for one is a good example. It was really cheap before was happy to be able to get in before it exploded and even challenge bitcoin and ethereal one time as the most dominant currency. However, when people started to unmasked it and exposed how the people behind are just making money and the continuous bickering amongst themselves from behind. It suddenly lost its magic and investors suddenly dumps it and the price continue to plummet and no longer enjoy some traction today.

6620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why This Bear Market Is NOT Here To Stay on: July 01, 2018, 08:22:21 PM
News feeds have been filled with headlines of “Bitcoin Crash” and “Bitcoin Is Dead!. These writers have a pretty unique definition of the words “crash” and “dead”. For a brand new emerging asset class, Bitcoin being worth only pennies less than a decade ago is now worth $6,000. It must really be dead...

Bitcoin is now getting close to reaching the same percentage loss as the correction in 2014. This time is a little different though. Alec, Jason and Brennan talk about what recent market news interests them and how institutional investors view the market. Looking back with their experiences during the last economic recession of 2018, they give their insights into the current marketplace.

New Podcast Episode - https://soundcloud.com/buy-or-sell-what-the-hell/why-the-bear-market-is-not-here-to-stay-29

Maybe is hungry for every news they can get in crypto specially bitcoin, so it doesn't surprise me at all with such headlines because they wanted a controversial title as they can get for obvious reasons, clickbait. But if you are investors, you should know by now not to be affected by this kind of news floating around because you really know what's going inside, what causes the slide, and bitcoin's past history of recovery. So for me, I just have a good chuckle specially negative news coming from the media. This bear market will not stay for sure and its just a matter of time before we will see the price going back to the 5 digits once again.
