News reaching out today be sae the Central African Republic don adopted bitcoin as legal tender, em do become the second country in the world to do so behind El Salvador.

Firstly I go like congratulate our brother for that side for taking this bold steps. Nigeria just dey disappoint me, abi dem no understand the power of first mover advantage. We for dun seized this opportunity use bring attention to the county. Already company dey run away from nigeria to other African countries and if we no do something fast we fit lose our stand as the Africa giant.

We get plenty start up wey dey look for country wey dey friendly to the industry to based and this go definitely bring job opportunities and revenue. Also this go bring about enlightenment to the country and this now all Nigeria dey miss by not been friendly to the industry. With all this hostility to the industry in the country by law enforcement agency and government yet we still dey on top now imagine there was some friendly to the industry, just imagine where we for dey. Nigeria need adopt bitcoin and they need to do am fast.
Brainboss make I let you know something, the country go make sense very soon as I done write for here before after 2023 9ja go adopt crypto currency, I know wan mentioned why due to say I don make up my mind say I no go talk anything related to 9ja politics why because most of us our mind dey over clouded by sentiments were make us make we no see good for some candidate since them no from our political affiliation or party. But the look be say after this 2023 election things go balance and we go reclaim our position as the African giant and hubs for innovation and start up, and of the key factor for development na development of the small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and the present government try in that direction but since na office of the Vice President dey handle that matter their power dey limited for now but in 2024 and beyond that sector go receive presidential attention because the right person go don dey on seat. All those businesses were relocated from Nigeria go failback asap.
Make we no give up hope dey change dey come waiten we done see na lesson for us now we done wise up and me dey very sure say 9ja go adopt crypto currency in fact we done adopt am already the only thing be say na informal adoption since we're be say na we the citizens do e adopt crypto for now but very soon crypto adoption for 9ja go get constitutional backing.
I Greet una this morning from FCT.
6622  Economy / Gambling / Re: Another New Rule On Gambling Adverts Ban Celebrities and Sports Stars on: April 29, 2022, 10:40:42 PM

No the rules are clearly to protect under18s,,, not gambling addicts Smiley Not adults as they are responsible for their own decisions.
You are right the rules has been created only to protect under the age (of 18) so that they cant be misguided. And no gambler will face any problem/issue except the people whose age is under 18, and it is the perfect rule I think to avoid premature people.
Ronaldo is a role model to many kids and seeing him in gambling advert my draw strong interest the kid in gambling which can lead to addiction since their you and can guide their emotions most times, so to me, the ban is not a bad idea since it targets on child protection it all good despite its negative effect on the store and the gambling sites that want to use them to promote the product. But the part I don't understand in the article is where it mentions that they are not allowed to promote any product, is it that they are banned from all forms. of promotions or just gambling promotions?
6623  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most trusted casinos on BTalk on: April 29, 2022, 10:06:44 PM
Thank you everyone who shared valuable information in this topic Smiley
Soon I will launch my website which will be in the casinos review niche I promise to bring exciting new features and hopefully we will build a nice community.
We will be looking forward to that and wish you all the best with that we have quite a good number of review sites but an additional one with a unique feature as you promised will go a long way in the development and advancement of reviews and hope you going to give users from this forum an option to contribute to the process of the review since most of us have first-hand experience in most of the gambling sites. I await to see the outcome of that when you eventually lunch the platform.
6624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I lost my bitcoin on: April 29, 2022, 09:52:26 AM
As impossible as it is to recover your wallet without your wallet seed or recovery phrase, you should at least try to share some details of the wallet such as the wallet address to see if the funds are available in the wallet, then we try to see if it an exchange wallet since you bought the Bitcoin through the bank there is a possibility it an exchange wallet that way you can use your username and other details to gain access to the wallet.and also try to look out for your friend on social media may be he can help you with some information, but prepare your mind that their is almost zero chance of gaining your Bitcoin back because you dont have the private key to the wallet and there is this funny but factual phrase. (Not you key not your Bitcoin) Good luck.
6625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! on: April 29, 2022, 09:08:55 AM

A question
Salvadorans using Chivo wallet and Salvadorans using bank, which one is more?
From the survey result, you can easily point out the general behavior of El Salvadorans toward bitcoin through the chivo wallet record but then we should not forget the fact that not all Bitcoin users in El Salvador access the network through the Chivo wallet some users will use other none custodial wallets and hardware wallets which are not accounted for in the survey, more importantly, is the increase in the number of businesses/ companies that have adopted Bitcoin payment since it legal adoption, which percentage is placed at 20% within the short period Bitcoin is made legal tender in that region. Also am not surprised by the general conversion rate of Bitcoin into dollars this is the general appetite of most people toward Bitcoin to avoid its volatility.
6626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hash rate returned to its All-time high on: April 29, 2022, 07:49:02 AM
This is expected. I mean the recovery. I don't know, perhaps others are somehow surprised at the speed by which the recovery was achieved. Not only did the hashrate recovered after only a few months of the Chinese Bitcoin mining ban, it also created an ATH at almost 200 exahash per second. That's despite of the difficulty rising.

Well, of course, the world is wide. Miners could easily move to another country with welcoming arms. And they have more than a handful options.
Yes of course Bitcoin harsh rate has continued to make new all-time highs consistently within the last couple of days and the latest was within the last 24 hours when a new all-time high of Bitcoin hash rate of 250 EH-sc and this is the highest since the china ban on Bitcoin mining some months ago which lead to a drastic drop in the mining rate but with the recent development it seems miners are either finding a new environment for mining activities which have resulted in this new development.

6628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a Partway to Becoming Self-Reliance. on: April 28, 2022, 07:03:10 PM
Owning bitcoin its financial freedom itself. You are anonymous to everyone and trading is easier without any form of third party intervention. But the financial liberty is limited as the people in possession of this bitcoins are still under the government who decides and gives laws governing how you spend your money. There won’t be financial liberty or one becoming self reliance by owning bitcoin until the government has no intervention on how people spend their money, decentralized means of spending and owning money. Which is what bitcoin portrays to the world.
Exactly Bitcoin holders are not free from the grip of the government since one still depends on government established institutions and services to get your Bitcoin to the right usage and this is where the place of innovation comes in if Bitcoin can have some level of scalability and acceptance level the story will not be the same as we have now where before a Bitcoin holder could use his/her Bitcoin for exchange you need to go through the services of a third party.
But on a p2p level Bitcoin offers a free market for its users where no third party or need for exchange or other centralized Bitcoin services involvement.
6629  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 Web 3.0 Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: April 28, 2022, 06:25:45 AM
@Owl.games team, sometimes i found that the site loads slow in my phone’s safari browser.
Is it due to my internet or device or normally it happens with rest of the people?
I guess the site isn’t well optimised for mobile versions?
Waiting for a reply.
Check your internet connection but if it's stable then the thing is about the browser and as they suggest about using google chrome. So, if it still doesn't work and it still loads.

Then check the device you use and maybe it's the problem already since it's limited with its specs, that's likely to happen. I do experience this not only with owl when I use mobile but as well as with other websites too that need to optimize their mobile compatibility.

Using mobile phone is sometimes really slow even though I'm using a s22 samsung galaxy phone. But this minor issue is normal since the processor of mobile device is different to a computer processor capacity. I sometimes gamble in mobile and transfer my game on desktop whenever the laggy experience occur. Take note that I'm using ISP at that time and opening the website at the same time. Not very laggy but its not that smooth gaming experience when I'm on my desktop browser playing. I'm experiencing this issue same with betfury that involves metamask connection.
I don't know why most sites that uses wallet extension always become laggy and slow on mobile but i have not experienced such from my desktop I have been isong desktop to access and play on owl a few time and did not experience similar problem may be this could be from your connection, if not so the the team should fine a way of fixing that.
6630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM Installed in Mexican Senate Building !!! on: April 28, 2022, 06:16:17 AM

Women politicians are more bitcoin-friendly than their male colleagues.
Grin if this statement is true then am happy with that at list this is the first time am getting positive vibes from a female about digital currency because if you check the rate of bitcoin adoption between males and females you will discover a wide gap between the two the male seems to be more involved in bitcoin than female but a female senator supporting and promoting Bitcoin adoption in the Senate is something to be happy about.
6631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Dogecoin become the new BTC? on: April 27, 2022, 07:02:27 PM
Is it possible that dogecoin can beat BTC after Elon musk takes over Twitter? Imagine if Dogecoin is well accepted throughout the world then BTC wouldn't this makes Dogecoin the new coin? This might sound too crazy to dream about but that Elon musk guy can make anything possible.
The is no comparison between an ant and elephant this is so because they both don't belong to the same class and status, Elon musk may have acquired Twitter which is a big move both to the individual and its affiliate companies and business, Elon musk may be considered the dogecoin father but that is not enough for him to have the capacity to make dogecoin to surpass an already established asset like Bitcoin. Thank goodness, you said crazy dream so I you leave you to it, keep dreaming.
6632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where does your country stand ? on: April 27, 2022, 06:25:43 PM
Statistically, the list of countries with the most bets might show countries like America, UK, and Australia. And I think it's an accepted fact, even countries where gambling is not considered good or likes to gamble.
and from some countries it is mentioned not the country where I live, because traditional or real gambling in the country where I live is strictly prohibited and if caught will be punished except online gambling.
America has a strict rule against gambling which is why most gambling sites are blocked from the United States and even the UK this has not been so.m different from the world's views on online and decentralized technology such as cryptocurrency gambling, so am not surprised if their missing on this lists. But then this can not be the accurate reflection of the rate of gambling in countries most especially considering how inconsistent the data are I guess this is just some online speculation unless otherwise.
6633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a Partway to Becoming Self-Reliance. on: April 27, 2022, 01:38:00 PM
When you say about freedom you say it looks good but the reality is not that simple even though bitcoin is now offering freedom there but do you still not see that there are lots of regulations that indirectly restrain this freedom.
especially in social life fiat is still taking over and of course many still think that fiat is absolute financial that leads to freedom when you own it even though there are some rules there too.

Bitcoin does have freedom but in this case when we live with government regulation of course that freedom is just a word without any real thing in that freedom
Regulation is an essential part of life and nothing can exist in its right nature without rules, also note this freedom always comes with a.price tag and that regulation are the price you pay for that so nothing exists in a vacuum. I don't think much about government regulation since that is the only way Bitcoin can interact with other commodities but then again you must know we're those rules applicable not on Bitcoin directly but those rules are enforced on Bitcoin services such as exchanges. But if we only use Bitcoin for p2p payment those rules may not be effective.
6634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give Your Feedback About Bitcoin Today ? on: April 27, 2022, 01:12:18 PM
Don't get it wrong Bitcoin price is not low at the moment and the 40k price is not a joke, Bitcoin is one of the most sorts after assets 9f the moment no two ways about that but if you want to get the general opinion/feedback on bitcoin then you will have to ask what is the level of Bitcoin adoption and what the general experience for Bitcoin daily users are such as traders and developers who use Bitcoin to pay for transactions.
6635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin And Human Capital Development. on: April 26, 2022, 06:30:49 PM
I was thinking about out a similar subject matter and this made me. me. wonder how Bitcoin has revolutionized the human race, especially in financial dealing and economic freedom so I made a similar thread but not on the same subject but the rule of bitcoin in human freedom. And how Bitcoin has improved citizens financial freedom thereby giving them economic freedom against government tyranny.
Check:
When you talk about the freedom you should always point to the view of many scholars who have defined the subject (freedom) it's a compound world at the same time a simple word, which simply means the right to do what you want to and when you want. And one of the ways the government has held its citizen bound is in the financial freedom which is the most important type of freedom because it translates into economic freedom.
Bitcoin on the other hand offers its, users, the total freedom they deserve both in financial freedom and also in the knowledge of how transactions are handled and verify this gives Bitcoin users the total freedom. spend their money whatever way and in whichever amount. Bitcoin activities on the other hand are more profitable compared to other physical traditional activities which have made it users totally free.
What do you think about Bitcoin&freedom

6637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get rid of useless tokens on: April 26, 2022, 09:40:39 AM
That is the disadvantage of the ethereum blockchain scammers can easily interact with users using the smart contract, one hardly sees this on the Bitcoin blockchain. You can't create another wallet address and try as much as possible to keep it private if you are a bounty hunter your ethereum address can easily be gotten from a bounty spreadsheet when scammers get access to your information they will use it to spam your wallet with malicious tokens all in attempt to scam you.
6638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: April 26, 2022, 09:19:23 AM
If you have studied the Bitcoin market chart recently you will see that Bitcoin has been showing a lot of market sentiment lately and this movement has shown a lot of inconsistency in the price of bitcoin time Bitcoin presents a bear market sentiment and another a bullish momentum. We all saw how Bitcoin made a $2k gain selling at $42k or above that was a bull attempt but it did not stay long before the price pulled back to $39k and gradually climbed to $40k at the moment.

6640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There too much information about btc on: April 25, 2022, 05:56:03 PM
Point of view is very different from facts.  I think there is adequate information regarding BTC.  The blockchain itself, the Bitcoin GitHub repository is open to the public.  The future plans and development is always announced beforehand and the concensus is always published in public.  The only vague here is the government and other institutions approach towards BTC adoption since both of these have an agenda of their own.
You are quite right there is a hand full of information on Bitcoin from the genesis block to the early and advanced development, as you also rightly pointed out the major problem is wilt the government and institutional approach to Bitcoin also we should not forget to mention the rigidity of the Bitcoin blockchain that requires a lot of hard work to be developed on. The lack of information means the inability of developers to build on the already existing Bitcoin network that could aid scalability and wider Bitcoin adoption.
