6642  Economy / Collectibles / allthingsdecentral.com warning / heads up on: February 01, 2018, 12:48:09 AM
I wanted to quickly share an experience with a cryptocurrency shop that sells collectibles. I found this shop some time ago and recently just purchased a few items. I received the majority of my order however there was much confusion on several items that were never shipped. I informed them and received one email back denying they had any items for a certain price and that they knew they had certain items missing from my order (which they failed to notify me on the receipt or anywhere else in my package or via email at anytime) and would be shipping them out shortly.

3 weeks and no response yet (nor any items received). I’ve emailed multiple times and even reached out on Instagram to their page.

I’ve shared this site and I know some members here have had no issues but felt this write up necessary of me.

You can sweep wallets/keys into mobile app Coinimi, I sold my BCH ages ago via Electron Cash & Bittrex but I swept my old private keys containing BTG last week into Coinimi app. It was really easy to do to be honest, I then sent my BTG to Bittrex & converted them into bitcoin.

Easy.

Thanks for the info!

6646  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Request] Somebody please make a physical Garlicoin AND paper wallet on: January 31, 2018, 07:19:05 AM
Why would you want a physical coin of this particular shitcoin? Some people have lost their ideals.

Are you out of your fucking mind.??
This.

Lauda I believe this coin to truly be a shitcoin made by forum dwelling nerds (like us) as fun and to not be taken seriously.  Fun/cheap shitcoin collectible is all.
6647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to sell Bitcoin on your Cell Phone from a Paper Wallet on: January 31, 2018, 05:56:27 AM
a little bit off topic but hopefully you understand this

4) Destroy paper wallet- Remember Satoshi said to never use a private key twice!

destroying paper wallet is not recommended, in case in the future you need the address for whatever reason
wouldn't it better to just say NEVER use the privatekey/address again instead of destroying it
also it is advisable to KEEP your old used wallet/address/privatekey, satoshi himself said it long ago in one his posts

Sigh... why delete a wallet instead of moving it aside and keeping the old copy just in case?  You should never delete a wallet.

You’re right- I write Void on mine all over it (what I mean by destroy)- will update.

And no need to sigh - miner miscommunication/poor wording fixed. But why wouldn’t I understand it?   Cheesy

Here is a well layed out article that explains how Lighting Network works in lamens terms. I highly recommended reading this! https://medium.com/@melik_87377/lightning-network-enables-unicast-transactions-in-bitcoin-lightning-is-bitcoins-tcp-ip-stack-8ec1d42c14f5
6658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / How to sell Bitcoin on your Cell Phone from a Cold Storage Paper Wallet on: January 30, 2018, 10:31:26 PM
If anyone out there is curious about this process (which I recently just went through) to sell Bitcoin on your cell phone from a cold storage paper wallet (like found on bitaddress.org) -than this thread is for you. I’ll lay it out step by step -

1) You need to check and see if you have any forked coins (shitcoins) here: http://Forkexplorer.com  AND http://www.findmycoins.ninja/

-If you plan to redeem those coins you can read about how to do so here:

Bitcoin Cash- https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/beginners-guide-claiming-your-bitcoin-cash-and-selling-it/

Bitcoin Gold- https://99bitcoins.com/how-to-claim-bitcoin-gold-btg-guide/

Bitcoin diamond/SuperBitcoin etc- https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@olsm/how-to-claim-bitcoin-diamond-bcd-super-bitcoin-sbtc-and-bitcoin-gold-btg

2) Now once you are ready to transfer your Bitcoin to an exchange to sell

-Download Mycelium app

3) Once downloaded open app and click on “Coldstorage”
-scan private key QR code
-Make sure you click “SWEEP ALL FUNDS”- THIS IS VITAL !!!
-type in the wallet’s public address in which you wish to transfer bitcoin in order to sell
-Confirm it hits your new address and you’re ready to sell

4) Void paper wallet cold storage -No reason to use again & remember Satoshi said to never use a private key twice!
6659  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some disadvantages of BTC? on: January 30, 2018, 09:54:10 PM
One clear issue with Bitcoin is the fact that it uses Broadcast like forms of communication. However there’s a solution to this problem! The Lightning Network is going to utilize a Unicast data transmission type where information is sent from one point on a network to another point (one to one).

Further clarification form a buddy that helps explain this further in lames terms- https://medium.com/@melik_87377/lightning-network-enables-unicast-transactions-in-bitcoin-lightning-is-bitcoins-tcp-ip-stack-8ec1d42c14f5

Don’t forget to HODL
6660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: January 30, 2018, 09:47:19 PM
I plan to HODL my bitcoin for the long run! If you truly understand Bitcoin and have done your homework, kept up with Bitcoins future plans, you realize it’s upside is still..to the moon! One encouraging future development is the LN. This article helps explain how it works in lamens terms - https://medium.com/@melik_87377/lightning-network-enables-unicast-transactions-in-bitcoin-lightning-is-bitcoins-tcp-ip-stack-8ec1d42c14f5
