6641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum price now under 300$ !!!! on: August 20, 2018, 04:34:44 PM
Yes, this is really surprising. Perhaps Ethereum is seriously overestimated, and may drop to $100 this year. This is not a good news.
There's really nothing surprising about ethereum being under $300 at this time. What was the price by this time last year, and what was the price of other cryptos too at this time in 2017? We should all know that this isn't the good time for cryptocurrency. But that isn't saying it's the end for the industry. This is a good time to buy any cryptos.
6642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still HODL? on: August 20, 2018, 03:27:13 PM
Right now is a tough time for anybody holding tokens. The HODL strategies put into effect a mere 3 months ago have cost portfolios a huge % loss in value...
I myself have witnessed thousands upon thousands in value destruction. Hrmmm, but what to do now?

Although I have watched, slowly and painfully, tokens descend in value equivalent to a brand new Cadillac down to a value where I cant even sell them for a used 1980s Ford where the bumper falls off...

Instead, I opted to HODL… But the question remains...
Should one effectively Sell-Out and take that broke down ford valuation now?
OR.
Does one still HODL and dream of Lambos full of Women and cocaine?
Now isn't even a right time to just HODL. It's a time to hodl and also buy more. Yes, buy more. I haven't seen cryptocurrency down this low and I believe we are near the bottom. The next ohase now should be a massive reversal. Except anyone wants to chase price, now is the right time to buy more.
6643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Idea of buying Ripple. on: August 20, 2018, 10:33:28 AM
Yes Miguel, now is the perfect time to buy ripple considering what the price is now and the brilliant ATH performance of $3+ it recorded early this year. Ripple is also a payment coin like the bitcoin, litecoin, Ether etc and it is expected to do well in the market also.
6644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the best decision on: August 19, 2018, 06:44:21 PM
If you sell now, you lose. But if you still hodl, you aren't yet in a loss. Paradventure the market recovers in a few months time and you are in a gain. OP was among the buyers who made cryptocurrency go up trending like crazy late last year without any support cushioning its expected fall.
6645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Revenue Could More Than Double in 2018 on: August 19, 2018, 03:01:44 PM
All are predictions, possible. There is no definite information that we must double. In my opinion, 2018 is not a good time to double, it is a good time to invest.
In my estimation, your opinion is highly valid. Wish I had sMerit to bestow on your comment. While the noobs are crying blue murder, the old hands are accumulating the coins at every dip. This is because they are long term at this bearish moment. Those who believe 2018 should bring them easy fortune through cryptocurrency following what happened in 2017 should just bury that thought and face reality on ground. To that, I don't trust any report projecting what price will be in the future for any crypto.
6646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano will destroy Ethereum! on: August 19, 2018, 04:59:50 AM
This is a good article that explains why Cardano will surpass Ethereum!

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/op-ed-evaluating-promise-cardano-has-ethereum-met-its-match/
Some of these bogus statements are sometimes unbelievably hilarious. In what sense will anyone even think this is going to be possible. ADA that is still struggling for its dear life to exist surpassing an already established Ether? Come on! That's not possible in the least imagination. Ethereum already has so many cryptos running on its blockchain. Where is ADA?
6647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP THIS DESPERATION FOR FREE TOKENS!!! on: August 18, 2018, 05:12:02 PM
This desperation for 'FREE' tokens is wrong!
How can somebody promise you a meagre 100 pieces (or some even far less) of his project tokens???
Most annoying is he wants you to do Facebook, Twitter, telegram, YouTube, reddit medium, work before you can qualify!

What good is 100 tokens buried inside your MEW wallet? What happens when the price if this tokens refuse to rise above 40 GWEIs (0.0000004 ETH) when listed??? Or maybe it preforms excellently well and rises from 40 GWEIs to 300 GWEIs. So, you really will wait for years on end and to God that it rises to the price that's reasonable enough to cover the Gas fee for withdrawal from your wallet?

The selfish dev is just using you to sell his project, for nothing! And it's so wrong.

OK, think for a moment, is it not the same time and resources it will cost him to offer 1000 tokens? Don't they have a marketing budget to cover those?

Please any drop or bounty that don't offer minimum 1000 tokens is only a waste of your time. Don't touch it.
Good advice but believe me not so many here will stick to it. There is so much hunger in the land that people could even do it for less. Check the Service section and you find some campaigns offering Hero and Legendary Members a paltry $30 week wage. I think people should just stay away from this kind of modern slavery. But then, I know certain participants would rise in defence of this thing I call slavery and say it isn't.
6648  Other / Archival / Re: . on: August 18, 2018, 04:47:43 PM
I believe the right place to open this thread would've been the local section. Here is kind of hidden and not many will get to visit here except those who follow or monitor your profile.
6649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [OPEN]⭐ICOForums.net | Signature Campaign | ETH Weekly Payment⭐ on: August 18, 2018, 06:23:23 AM
I don't know how the new entrants are able to get through the ICOforum site because I noticed the server has been down for a few hours now. This may prevent posters meeting up the required post count if it isn't addressed quickly. I expect such server overload because of the rush but the Campaign Manager should also address participants on that. Silence isn't the best option.
6650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: August 16, 2018, 05:26:54 PM
Many community members have been claiming lately that altcoins are going to die or at least that 90% of altcoins are doomed. I tend to agree with them that there are many coins and tokens that are pointless and won't survive.
Of a truth no one simply knows how this cryptocurrency thing will turn out. If they know, they would've told us the exact cryptos that will die. Saying that some cryptos will die is a sweeping generalization that leaves no trail as to what will happen. I beg to disagree that altcoins will die. The prices may be down now but that doesn't mean they won't rise and sustain themselves.
6651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earning money in my sleep ! on: August 16, 2018, 01:19:36 PM
Since I'm with Arbitragecoins.com (about 1 year), I get a very nice profit on my primairy investment of 1 BTC. Mostly 20% or more on a monthly base; it depends on the actual value of my Bitcoin, or the total value of any other cryptocoin(s) you give them to trade with; all measured in fiat money like dollars or euro's.
No investment will give anyone that high yield, except a HYIP. This is a HYIP for what it is and they normally end in scams. This was how we had it in the days of the lending coins last year. I nearly was a victim of bitconnectcoin. OP, I am not saying this will eventually turn a scam. But you have to be very careful because the yield is unbelievably high. If it sounds too good to be true, then it should call for concern.
6652  Economy / Economics / Re: Newbies panic & Old timers smile, when the Bitcoin price take a dip. on: August 12, 2018, 05:10:12 PM
Many new people on this forum are so focused on ranking up on this forum, with the visions of making tons of money from Bounty and Signature campaigns...
This is so true and I believe that explains the unending traffic to this site. Many (including old members) see it as a meal ticket.

but when it counts the most, they tend to drop the ball and they lose out on the biggest profits.
This comment is more ambiguous than a side note. Would you mind explaining it?

My advice to the newbies out there is to forget about Signature campaigns and Bounty campaigns and to concentrate on the things that will help you to make the biggest profits. You should acquire as much cheap bitcoins as you can, during a dip, because you will never know if that price will be the lowest price that Bitcoin would be sold for in many years.
You think the noobs will gaze at your advice twice? Not even the veterans here will chew on it as a second thought. On buying the dip, sometimes one wants to key in and buy cheap but cash could also restrain one from doing that. Have you ever thought of that before? This thing is easier said than done.

6655  Other / Meta / Re: Is bitcointalk being flooded with bots? on: August 10, 2018, 08:36:23 PM
I think random captcha on all posts and possibly during a session for a considerable time would be needed to stop determined bot users...
Making people key in captchas before posting is going to be very cumbersome and frustrating for members here. There is a reason the forum has moderators and this is one of such reasons: to weed out spam posts. The mods should get to work and help sanitize the forums. When those worthless posts are constantly deleted, those posting them will get fed up and leave.

Here's the thing. Not every company will succeed with a signature or bounty campaign here. Most of the campaigns that are started and conducted here are absolute shit...
I don't know what it is I actually miss about this post because as it sounds contrary to near general conception. I know this forum is the most active cryptocurrency site and with the highest level of signature and bounty campaigns. If advertisers don't feel they get their money's worth why would they flock here? I bet the companies running their campaigns and adverts here will disagree with you, BTCforJoe.
6658  Other / Meta / Re: [LOG] The ranked up members - Congratulations! on: August 09, 2018, 02:34:35 PM

You are already a legend*, why should you bother even ranking up?

(*) - You cannot deny your popularity in the forum, been positive or negative according someone, doesn't really matter. Trolls need a legend too. Smiley
Your trolling is entertaining for sure.

Sure. You could also add Gyrsur to that legendary list of trolls!  He deserves an inclusion.  Grin

After some time Gavin set up a faucet that gave out something like 1-10 BTC or whatever. The amount lowered over time, I think it was kept to around $0.10 usd in value more or less.
Wow! Was there actually a time that faucets gave out as much as 1-10btc? I need to confirm this and the year. Can you help me out?

Ah, the angry negative trust bad campaign manager. Now he is stalking me posting off topic posts to harass me Grin

Yikes if somebody believes a negative trust user who is stalking and harassing people over somebody with no negative trust who is just chilling and applying to a campaign.

Ah, the angry negative trust bad campaign manager. Now he is stalking me posting off topic posts to harass me Grin

Not angry even the slightest; I'd just hate to see such a toxin like yourself disrupt and damage another campaign.

You'll notice it's business as usual for me:

1) Paid my campaign participants
2) Extended my campaign another 3 weeks

What have you accomplished lately?

Here comes the latest couple in town again  Grin I thought the forum priests made you guys a peace deal.
