I have 4 Sapphire 7970 Dual X, get about 750 per card, no problems at all, temperature 68-72. Great card, highly recommended.
6662  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Asus 7970 unlocking voltage on: May 09, 2013, 02:31:40 PM
Thx to both of you but no luck. Does not work with version 2.2.2 either.
Any other suggestion?
6663  Bitcoin / Mining / Asus 7970 unlocking voltage on: May 09, 2013, 10:13:00 AM
Is there a way to unlock voltage with Asus 7970?

I also have Sapphire 7970, I use MSI Afterburner to unlock voltage and get much better results. With Asus, even when I tick "unlock voltage" option, I cannot do it, that option is still not accessible. Is there any other way to push this card over 700? Currently getting 630.

Thx
6664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How to set up Litecoin backup mining pool? on: May 08, 2013, 04:19:54 AM
Hey guys,

since LTC mining pools are still quite unstable and go offline quite often, is there a way to set up my cgminer in a way to switch automatically to a backup pool in case my primary pool goes offline?

What command should I add to my cgminer script?

Thx

BTC-E world wide solution

Have you used BTC-E transfer to Paypal option? They charge 6% fee but does this actually work?
6666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the easiest way to sell litecoins? on: May 07, 2013, 07:45:54 AM
Any update on this? Has anyone used BTC e option to transfer to PayPal? Does it work, any issues? If yes, do I just need to input my PayPal ID under "purse" tab or is there anything else?

Thx
6667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2x 7970 Few questions on: April 30, 2013, 07:28:24 AM
Did I get this correctly, when setting up 4 7970, not to use crossfire, just to plug them in, right?

Why is this?

Hey guys,

what is the most simple and cheapest way to sell litecoins and transfer money either to your bank account or preferably Paypal.

Thx a lot

I have ATI HD 7970, currently getting 606 kh/s.

My clocks are GPU 1125 and memory 1575. Using cgminer 2.11.4. (Maximum overclock, this card comes with 925 and 1375 stock clocks and it is stable)

How do you guys get close to 700, I have tried playing with my clocks, tried to get 0.57 ratio between GPU and memory, no luck. Drivers are 13.1.

My current setting are --worksize 256 -g1 -I 13 --lookup-gap 2 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192

Any ideas?

Thx
try this  -g 2 -I 13 --shaders 2048 -w256

use cgminer 2.11.4 do not set thread-concurrency let cgminer detect the best value for your cards, maybe try the last beta drivers 13.3, i get more than 720 kh/s with core1040/memory1750 with vcore unervolted and vmemory overvolted , i did order Arctic extreme cooler tried it on 1 card and it is amazing I am getting around 67 c°with these setting comparing to the other cards that are running @ 86 c° I did order more coolers for the other cards, it is worth every cent I did give.

No luck here either, g2 instead of g1 cuts my hash to 400. Will try the new drivers, although I see people still complain bout them a lot.
you have to do some work around, each card model differ , do not get so pulled with the settings posted here , in my case the myth  of 0.57 doesn’t work  , i am using a sapphire dual-x with 925/1375 and I was struggling to get them to work @ 700+kh/s I did post a guide that you can check it, but it really vary not from the card only but i did notice that even the motherboard, in my case i am using 2 diffrent motherboard models but the same model of graphic cards on both motherboards, in the first model I get 720 kh/s so easy , the second model was a pain in the ass , for the same cards i use different Over Clockings to get the same hash rate  .

I am trying to tell you that getting the right configs for scrypt mining is not that easy, you have to play around to get that sweet spot for your cards, you can take a look here https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison

when I was just starting few months ago i got really confused , take a look at the list and see how 7970 really differ in matter of OC and hash rate. I do not know how this will help you, but at least you have a clear understanding of your problem which i wish you will be solving soon, now the LTC community is bigger and you will fast solve your issues , it took me 3 weeks to get my shit up when i just started few months ago.

good luck

Yes, I understand that I cannot expect to get a fully functional start-up string and get everything working immediately. I have been playing with this for a few days, I do not expect it to get fixed by itself. My initial hash was 390 and now I am pulling 606 which is already a success. I guess I have made a mistake since I got Asus 7970 HD and not TOP version of this card since my card s 925 stock and the other gets 1000mhz of the box. This is the price of my ignorance. Smiley) In my case this 0.57 system does not work either, according to the guide of a guy who made cgminter, I have increased my mem speed to 1575 (max setting for this card with supplied Asus software) and tried to match GPU clock to get that ration, the results was about 440.

Will try using the reaper next and then I will try every different set of drivers supplied by ATI, up to know have tried 12.8 (440 hash) and 13.1 (606).
I might be getting another card, this time Gibabyte 7970, would they work in the same machine, is this possible since I cannot use crossfire cause the cards are not the same?

Thank a lot for your help, I really appreciate it,  I will do my best to share my results in order to contribute to litecoin community.

Skip the worksize and the -g1 setting.  Get your memclock higher-> closer to 0.57-0.60.  Then up your intensity to minimally 18 then you should see higher hashes.

No luck when trying to skip worksize and g1 settings, getting exactly the same, 606.  Regarding memclock, I do not think I can go higher, Catalyst control center shows 1575 as max for my card. Is there any other way to increase its speed?

But you probably have different card. When I go with g2, I get much lower hash.

How can you get the core to go up so high. I thought catalyst control center limits it to 1125. At least his is with my CUII card.

Hi guys,

I have two of these babies and currently getting 662mh/s.
I am using cgminer (best of the best, ckolivas you should be nominated for the NOBEL prize!!!:), GPU clock is 1100mhz and memory clock 1500.

Would you please share your results/mining tools/settings. I see some people are getting 725 out this card, is it different manufacturer or just different settings.

Stock GPU clock for this card is 925mhz and it feels like I am pushing them to their limits.

Thx a lot

any recommendations on the best/safest bitcoin wallet to be used?

Also, do you backup your wallet to USB or any other option?

Thx

Hi there,

what are you currently getting out of your card?

6678  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining noob but quick learner, 7970 Asus preferential set up on: April 18, 2013, 08:17:31 AM
Just got it yesterday, extremely stable for overclocking, pulls up about 600 mhas/s for now.
According to this info Robi has shared, should be able to get about 700 with a bit of work.

Word of caution, if you go Asus model like I did, make sure you have sufficient number of power cables. Only 1 8 pin cable comes in the box and 2 are required to power the card. If your PSU is older, like mine, consider getting additional cable.
6679  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining noob but quick learner, 7970 Asus preferential set up on: April 18, 2013, 07:48:43 AM
Hey Robi,

once more, thx a lot for these explanations.

Will test a bit during the next few days and see what will I get.
I thought CPU mining is not so efficient, at least when talking about windows and bitcoins.  I have I7 CPU and have been getting extremely low rates when using gui miner and CPU mining. Are results better with litecoin?

I know I have been pain in the ass with these questions, sorry about that.
6680  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining noob but quick learner, 7970 Asus preferential set up on: April 18, 2013, 07:05:02 AM
Hey Robi,

thx a lot for this.

Shoud I really go to Catalyst 12.3 since this table shows the best results with this version?
This seems a bit 2 old version and I am unsure whether this is recommended due to the fact that this was the best option at the time of testing or is this actually preferable version?

I thought of going with 12.8.

Also, what would be preferable client?

Do not get me wrong, I know I ll have to test several different combinations until I get the best result in my case, however, I would like to know where to start.

Thx
