6661  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I like BFL, DO YOU ??? on: November 17, 2013, 08:05:44 AM
Yes , I totally like BLF.
Because I never worked with them.

Same how I love what Hashfast is doing since I've bought a KNCminer.
6662  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: WTF Cointerra on: November 17, 2013, 08:02:54 AM
It's about warranty so I guess
You're still gonna receive your rig but it will blow up somewhere between 31-90 days.
6663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin linked to drugs on: November 17, 2013, 07:39:42 AM
Knife linked to Murders
Internet linked to Child porn
Cars linked to Accident
USD linked to All above ...
Dont play this kind of political game plz , Bitcoin is neutral

Lets say that there are 200 000 000 millions users of knives in the USA , in 2010 there were 1,704 deaths by Knives or cutting instruments.
Assuming there are 50 000 transactions daily recorded by the blockchain , that would lead to around 20mil/year.
So , you're assuming there are only 170 transactions related to drugs?
It's all about %.

Also , each year 10/100 000  people die in car accidents. (I am surprised the numbers are going down , while car usage is growing)
Now , are there only 10 people in 100 000 bitcoin users buying drugs?
It's all about %.

About child porn , i don't even want to research that , i find it disgusting.

So , Bitcoin is considered by the average human linked to drugs.
When it finally gets adopted by % and people start using it daily , they will not think about it like that.
But until that , it's about %.

6664  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Good alternative to bitmit? on: November 17, 2013, 07:18:50 AM
Now that bitmit is down, what are some good sites to sell and buy stuff for bitcoins?

http://www.halfpricedigital.com

Excuse me for being ignorant , but what can you buy there?
6665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the general public know they can buy fractions of Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2013, 07:16:10 AM
Your question is about "General Public".
General Public  - NO. From the 10% that heard about bitcoin on the news , 99% forgot the second day.

If you asked about people who taught about buying bitcoin but never actually looked at the process I say....NO.

You have to remember that from hearing about something till actually thinking of buying and researching about it is a long process.
And humans tend to be lazy.
6666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LEAKED! BTC Creator: Joakim Schmitz+6 Associates =Satoshi Nakamoto! on: November 16, 2013, 03:17:54 PM

6667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I know this has been brought up before, but confirmation times are getting weird on: November 16, 2013, 03:05:22 PM
Well threshold would imply some sort of cental block planning agency.   Various miners have various different block parameters.  Tx volume is higher than the block size being created by the various parameters currently used by various miners.   Some miners target larger blocks, some target smaller ones, a couple seem to include nothing but the coinbase tx.   Collectively all miners have a certain tx throughput which is less than the tx volume and the limit imposed by the 1MB cap.

Miners can either expand the # of tx they include in blocks
OR
Users can collectively reduce tx volume
OR
The backlog will grow

For the time being a way to put yourself at the front of the line is to pay a tx fee but that won't reduce/eliminate the backlog it will just ensure your tx has a higher chance of going first.

I really hope this will never happen , but let's say that in case number of transactions grows and it starts putting pressure on the limit of the block
IF  , the miners don't agree to raising the limits of the block but to raise the fee in order to discourage micropayments  .....wouldn't we end up with something like...  banks?
6668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vote for the removal of Mike Hearn as Chair of the Bitcoin Foundations Law & Pol on: November 16, 2013, 02:54:42 PM
he is representing the interest of US gov , not bitcoin community , expel him.if they dont , we should think about to find a replacement of btc foundation

Or we could just make our own foundation. Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's second Bitcoin foundation. We will be that foundation. Better than it was before. Better, stronger, faster.

In hindsight that quote didn't work as well as I hoped

We'll when do you start?
What are your plans to improve bitcoin adoption?
What's your knowledge in this field ?
....
Who are you? Cause
I'm not part of WE unless I know who YOU are!
6669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LEAKED! BTC Creator: Joakim Schmitz+6 Associates =Satoshi Nakamoto! on: November 16, 2013, 02:48:22 PM
They are all megaupload related.
Maybe OP deliberately lies about the NSA thing anyway.

This may explain why US authorities were extremely interested and violent in Megaupload's case and not other sites.

My fathers a dual citizen of the EU and he told me the Americans did it ALL for political reasons and it does not matter who my dad works for, dont hate, hes providing for his kid! Who happens to be trying to change this world by patenting a health and fitness product and using the proceeds to one day own my own cryptocurrency ETF!

Correlation between BTC/USD/GOLD:   http://thegenesisblock.com/want-to-know-where-btc-prices-are-going-watch-usd/

Negative! The NSA does not employ dual citizens!!!!

(Unless they hold israeli citizenship)

Hes worked for them for 25 years + If you were born within the United States like my dad which got his EU citizenship in the 1980's, out of a country I won't name, because both parents were immigrants, lol jumping to conclusions there Mr. Negative!

Do you realize you still have your fb profile in your signature?

Met an angry lady one day when I was a policeman, she said "Do you know who my father is".  I replied, "I think you should ask your mother".

Reminds me a scene I saw near an official government building a few years ago. A teenager parked his Mercedes and when one of the officers there asked him to move he's car he shouted
-You realize , you're talking to an S-class owner? And I've already parked it!
-You realize , you're talking with a Glock owner ? And I have the fingers on the lock already?

=))))))

6672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coin Validation "CLEAN" OMG LOL , it aint gonne happen why? BITCOINS DONT MOVE! on: November 16, 2013, 01:40:45 PM
Iam cracking up here al toose paranoid people fearing "the state"
about clean bitcoins , lol , the point is bitcoins DONT MOVE. Smiley  Kiss
http://quezi.com/14671 its a non moving system!
Bitcoin stayn at the same place , for ever and always.
the only thing what happens when a bitcoin trades is,
someone putting his name AKA (bitcoin adress) next to the coin!
this is done by the old owner , who traded the coin be for he/she/IT leaves......
and its NOT 'JUST one"  owner who can own a bitcoin no , 100.000.000 people can own 1 bitcoin at the same time!
So 100.000.000 people or machines , can own this bitcoin (part) until they announce the new owner gets announced!
This means that with in 3 days all bitcoin will be dirty!!! , and because they dont move you can NOT replace them with clean ones!
Its like the $ bills with cocaine traces 96% have them , he 4 % newly printed not yet.
BUT $ can be newly printed , bitcoin NEVER leave the blockchain , so can never be replaced!!!!!
Thoose law makers dont understand the system , they are trying to impley a law like "
from now own ALL PRIME NUMBERS should be  divisible by 21 , 5 , 8 ,61 , 11!
Yes you can make a law that demends this, but will the maths change?
Will they apply??? NO , maths dont care!
maths are not intimidated by weapons , or army , or nukes , no maths dont care
So let them MAKE the clean bitcoin software and find out the HARD WAY!
They are just fools , thinking in a old way , failing to see the new!
From a global prespective bitcoin is our way out of this Euro/dollar debacle for us ALL!!!
if we go own like we do now , we do simpley self distruct as human race!
Bitcoin can get us OUT of this , whitout people lossing its face , we slowly switch over and then dump all fiat!
because we need a deflationary system , if we dont we will get out of earth resources very soon , and exterminate our self!

To sum up what you have just said , "WTF did I smoke?"
6673  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: "New address for each payment" is a logic bomb on: November 16, 2013, 01:16:53 PM
Heh, why do ppl post in this thread if they have no clue what birthday paradox is...

Because:
1) people are lazy to check wtf is the birthday paradox
2) math is not quite as easy as watching baseball
3) your thread assumes a vulnerability of the bitcoin protocol , so i'm not sure why haven't you already been burned as an "infidel" already Cheesy
6674  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: "New address for each payment" is a logic bomb on: November 16, 2013, 11:30:37 AM
I think the math works out that there's more Bitcoin addresses than there are atoms in the universe.  Basically, it's been talked about many times, and it's nothing to worry about.

The latest numbers show around 10^80 atoms so there are "a bit" more atoms.
6675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mining + taint = rich on: November 16, 2013, 11:14:10 AM
0. Build your own ASICs
1. Create untainted coins by mining new blocks.
2. Creata the infrastructure to taint coins.
3. Reduce existing supply of untainted coins by tainting old ones.
4. Sell the untainted coins you mined.

5. There is nobody around to sell bitcoins to cause the taint thing f*** the whole thing
6. All the investment is lost.
7. Get a new job.
6676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to build a wallet generator till you hit the jackpot ? on: November 16, 2013, 11:06:12 AM
People have tried, and are still trying to bruteforce an address with funds in it. To my knowledge no one has done it yet

Nor is that likely to occur unless and until either the breakers aquire a 150+ qbit quantum computer or a serious flaw is discovered in the address algo.  Even if both were to occur, the odds of succes aren't particularly high.

6677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the Bitcoin Foundation be moved to a Neutral Country... on: November 16, 2013, 10:52:37 AM
Switzerland has allowed the US to buttfuck and buttrape its banking system  Angry

Iceland is probably a better choice because it is of extreme strategic importance for NATO forces due to its particular location. It is unlikely that the USA would use brute force against Iceland and stir hate against themselves...

Or Russia - not neutral but more likely to support a technology that the US government combats. And strong enough to resist threats. A country that is strong enough to protect Snowden is strong enough to protect Bitcoin.

Russia? common...
The country where journalist disappear because they write something against Putin? Where if you criticize him you have 100% more chances to die in a tragic accident ?
If Snowden was russian you wouldn't have heard of him , just in a local paper about how somebody died of "overdose".
6678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: onlycoin.com on: November 16, 2013, 10:48:33 AM
actually, it's legit. i know a lot of people who have pre-ordered it already.

Legit means when people start actually receiving the product.
"Starts shipping Summer 2014" it's a turn off.
6679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banned from opening a US bank account for having bitcoin, SSN banned. on: November 16, 2013, 10:45:06 AM
Exactly, fuck those fees and slow process times.

Bitcoin is going to destroy banks. It is the fault of the banks for not keeping up with technology.

Look at Blockbuster, they were rich as fuck and didn't keep up with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc. I mean wtf, it's 2013 and they charge $5 to rent a movie and $10 for game (here in Mexico) and expect to make profits when people can watch 1000's of movies for an unlimited amount of time paying $5-9 per month?

Now Blockbuster is dead. Seriously, banks gonna try to fight bitcoin lol?

Still doesn't answer my question tho, what is the back up plan, if you wake up tomorrow and you can't withdraw money from your bank account and are unable to open a new bank account at any usa bank because they ban your social security number like the Marine in the article? What is the contingency plan?

Why should a commercial bank fight bitcoin?
They could adopt it.
Hmm , wait , we already have those kinds of "banks". We even have another version of "debit cards".
You know them, some services that went missing lately like...Cheesy

Banks could start giving loans in bitcoins instead of dollars.
Bitcoin replaces only the transaction not all the others services a bank can offer.
6680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banned from opening a US bank account for having bitcoin, SSN banned. on: November 16, 2013, 10:38:59 AM
There is a really good quote there at the end:

“The real question is why Bitcoin businesses think they need banks,”

It might sound overly simplistic, but there is something to it.

Most asked question in the Bitcoin community:
"Why can't I buy bitcoins with a CC or Paypal?"

Funny how bitcoins is going to kill the services it desperately needs for survival.
