6661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin in the gaming community on: September 26, 2017, 05:24:20 PM
In case you haven't heard yet, Nexon (which is a global leader in online games for PC and mobile) is going to buy 65% stake from Korbit (which is a huge exchange), both services operates in south Korea. Even though, they didn't buy the whole company, I still believe that we will see something from Nexon related to bitcoin, probably a game that advertise it, who knows? What are your thoughts?
6662  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin SmartWatch Face on: September 26, 2017, 02:17:58 PM
The screen is small so adding multiple details wouldn't make it any better, It's good  as it is but If you could just add a little arrow going UP (green) or going down (red) for showing the changes for the last 24 hours, you could even simply pull that data from CoinMarketCap or CryptoCompare instead of taking them from multiple exchanges and calculating the average yourself.
6663  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC.com | BITCOIN & Bitcoin CASH WALLET | Safe, secure & trusted on: September 26, 2017, 01:44:10 PM
I curious what will happen with btc.com wallet because it belongs to Bitmain and Bitmain is in china, china banned bitcoin. I hope everything does not matter and I wait for confirmation before use btc.com again. Thanks

I believe that they didn't ban anything, It's the exchanges who took the decisions by themselves to close because the government banned ICOs. Either way, from taking a look at this: https://www.linkedin.com/company/btc-com It seems like the headquarters are not in China so even If they were acquired by Bitmain at some point, they shouldn't close.
6664  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SENT USDT TO BCH ADDRESS on: September 26, 2017, 07:07:25 AM
How do I recover my USDT which I sent to a my BCH wallet? Please help.

I believe you can't regardless of whether you have the private keys or not, because BCH and BTC blockchains are separate and Tether is running inside BTC and not BCH.
6665  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 21-Sep-2017] on: September 25, 2017, 04:48:23 PM
Hi guys,
I'm what you guys call a Newbie in the crypto currency biz.
I read in this forum about Signature campaigns but I don't know how to go about it.
Can someone pls guide me through the Signature campaign ?
I'd like to start immediately.

You can't start anything for now as your account is newbie. The list posted above clearly shows that no campaign is accepting newbies currently, there are some that accept Jr. member though so If you remain active for like the next month (less as we are not in the start of the activity reset period), you should achieve that rank and enroll.
6666  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] COINSBANK.COM launches Universal Crypto Solution at Money2020 Europe on: September 25, 2017, 12:48:44 PM
Hi, european user, if order now, will receive the plastic card of Visa or Mastercard circuit?

Thanks in advance W_M

I believe they stopped giving MasterCard the day they rebranded to CoinsBank (from Bit-x) so you will only receive a Visa card whether It's physical or virtual and you can check the small size text on bottom of their page for more info about the card issuer.
6667  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying Bitcoin Noob question!! on: September 25, 2017, 12:21:51 PM
Everything you mentioned happened in the same moment? I mean, just after buying, you had 399$? because It's very likely that the price changed after you bought. Mycelium offer three options to buy/sell bitcoin, using credit card, bank account with Glidera and with other Mycelium users, so which one you used? If it was one of the two first options, you may want to contact them directly.
6668  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Smart Contract in Bitcoin on: September 25, 2017, 11:09:22 AM
I checked his Twitter and since June when he released the whitepaper, he didn't really talk more about it. Now, I don't know which one is best from a technical point of view but Rootstock (Rsk.co) which is another project to bring smart contracts to Bitcoin managed to raise 3.5MM and they are currently in Beta phase so It's unlikely to see his project coming alive anytime soon as his GitHub doesn't contain anything.
6669  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: September 25, 2017, 10:25:01 AM
Thanks for the info but I'm more than 4 months , if it is 28 activity for a month my activity count should be 112 instead of 84. But maybe I should just wait

It doesn't continue to increase from the day you register, you must be active on the forums. If you skip (don't login/post) a 2 week activity reset period then there is no way to get it back and I believe that's what happened to you.

activity is updated every hour but at what min on the zero like  1.00 2.00 3.00 12.00?

There is no specific time, it keep increasing each two weeks (from what I can see, Its like 6-7mn increase): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/edit#gid=1012758442
6670  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Hardware wallets on Tails on: September 24, 2017, 06:00:53 PM
Tails should be able to detect any connected USB devices so the problem is most likely not coming from the OS. Tails come pre-installed with an old version of Electrum, have you upgraded to the latest one? Try to use the native Ledger nano S application on chrome and see how things goes. If that doesn't work then It might be possible that there is a need of extra libraries in order to make the device work.
6671  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: USB Bitcoin wallet? on: September 24, 2017, 05:29:57 PM
It's more like a hardware device then a USB but anyway, the first rule is to never buy through eBay, always buy  through the site of the company (Trezor.io and Ledgerwallet.com) because the device could be tempered with. Both are great qualities, in fact, they are the only hardware wallets I would recommend, very safe If you have large amounts to store and you are worried about an infected phone or computer.
6672  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Want to build a website similar to satoshibox.com on: September 24, 2017, 03:01:06 PM
The programming part is not the hardest part here, It's promoting the service so If you want from people to use this then you have to hire expert developers.
6673  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ✰ PAXFUL.COM ✰ - peer to peer marketplace to buy/sell bitcoin on: September 24, 2017, 01:44:57 PM
I sent you an email to help@paxful.com but I still didn't receive any replies while you claim to answer within 24 hours. I contacted you regarding a serial scammer/carder that is selling in your site: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2196414.msg22070173#msg22070173 (I and other users posted a lot of proof) so I suggest banning him before everyone leaves your platform, the positive trust clearly means nothing because the codes works when you put them but then get chargebacked.
6674  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: September 24, 2017, 01:14:37 PM
Hi, I would like to ask how do the activity increase? It's been a while since my account has been added some activity points? Does it have anything to do with the places where I post ? If its only bounty thread it would not count?

It increase as long as you have enough posts (with a maximum of 14 per week) and the length, the section etc. of posts doesn't really matter. (don't make use this as an excuse to spam though)
6675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: K.im, Bitcache & Bitcoin on: September 24, 2017, 06:38:02 AM
Registered with the ICO mailing list though.

I'm not sure about the error you are getting, I personally didn't need to do anything except putting my email address. Do you mind linking me to the ICO mailing list btw?

Downloading files is dead. I mean files containing movies, software, etc.  Streaming movies took over downloads (especially illegals) People now prefer watching a movie in streaming instead to download. Not even talking the fact it is not allowed to download illegal kinds of stuff in some countries, which helped greatly the streaming market

It's far from being dead. If people (content creator) find an alternative, they will use it, no body wants to use third party services to earn less, this is a direct way to sell to the users.
6676  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Serial Carder/Scammer - kimoar87 - 300$ on: September 23, 2017, 11:22:44 AM
Which Amazon cards are these, '.com'? Was there any discount on them, and if so how much was the discount? I'm having trouble viewing this information due to my setup.

It's likely that they were stolen or bought with a stolen CC. Have you tried contacting Amazon support?

It was like 70$ for 100$ gift card and yes, It's for Amazon.com. I did contact them and they told me I should contact the seller of gift card as they have nothing to do with it but yeah, It's a chargeback.

Did you contact Paxful support yet?

I haven't because I thought they don't take emails seriously as the trust system they have exist for a reason but now I just sent one, hopefully I will receive a reply.

Let's go back in time,shall we ?
-snip-

Fair enough. I admitted that it was my fault on the thread too but I'm just making this post so people are aware of it.

I appreciate the suggestion but I already have his physical address (unless he moved somewhere else) as I posted above.

@Avirunes and @ApeDeals, I appreciate the help! I sent a message to Paxful while linking to this thread, hopefully the information we gathered will be helpful to them and he will get banned.

6677  Economy / Service Discussion / A YouTube Partnership Network on: September 23, 2017, 09:28:48 AM
I'm looking for a YouTube Partnership Network like Freedom.tm for example but must pay in BTC? It should at least have a few members and a decent monthly subscribers increase, I don't want something brand new that was never used.
6678  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which platform to use for tech analysis on: September 23, 2017, 07:36:23 AM
I believe that the most known and used sites are: Bitcoinity, BitcoinWisdom and BitcoinCharts. I don't use them myself but I definitely see them on the forums and Reddit very often.
6679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new bitcoin documentary! on: September 23, 2017, 06:58:36 AM
The part that I found interesting is where Jihan clearly stated that he support Lightning network while I thought that miners are against it because the transaction are off chain so they won't get any use from it?
6680  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: September 22, 2017, 05:40:44 PM
I'm a bit confused here. If I ever send funds from a non-segwit address to a SegWit address (I will clearly not have the benefits of SegWit here) then what happens (whether its considered as a SegWit transaction or not) If spend that to another non-SegWit address?
