6661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the new US administration be friendly to bitcoin? on: November 10, 2020, 09:23:44 PM
no, it will be exactly the same as the previous one and continue having the indifference attitude towards bitcoin while pretty much the same regulations are forced on any centralized service (such as exchanges) that work with bitcoin.
I also think so, Biden and trump will not be much different in responding to Bitcoin...
many interests are behind the US economy, especially the world bank and IMF. if Biden supports Bitcoin, it means they support the banking system in a major overhaul. just leave them with their dislike of Bitcoin because it is possible that currently, the US is planning to make its own cryptocurrency, following China.

dont really expect that they will have direct stance on crypto or bitcoin. even if for example, biden is pro-bitcoin, he will not give statements that he is supporting it as he will think of the repercussions that it will have on the traditional financial system. but we may see how the laws and regulations will be on his time period.
too early to speculate on how he will handle things here. trump has not conceded yet about the election results. lol
6662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big pay day for Satoshidice.com 406 BCH moved to their hot wallet. on: November 10, 2020, 08:00:31 PM
Satoshidice moved 406 BCH coin from their betting address to their main hot wallet. If you check their betting address balance is zero now.
Nice to see that Satoshidice is still thriving. They have come a long way.

being a dapp gambling platform, they indeed are lucky to maintain their site and earn decent amount of money. not so big as compared to big online casinos but not bad at all considering the competition among these online casinos. but dedicating only to bitcoin cash as form of payment is i think one limiting factor for them to grow their number of users who are not fan of this forked btc. lets see if they will stick to bch or add other alt in the future.

User 'stfN2128' has not chosen to allow messages from newbies. You should post in their relevant thread to remind them to enable this setting.

since you already posted that he's not currently allowing messages from newbies, maybe he will change his settings as he already mentioned that DM him about your ID ticket. i really dont think that they will stop their operations as their site is still pretty active. maybe they are resolving some internal issues as they also paused their sig campaign.
now, that a lot of sports events are starting to resume their activities, i dont think they will halt their casino operations. also, their aced poker is coming soon.
6664  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinLeaves.com Instant Cryptocurrency Exchange on: November 09, 2020, 10:38:18 PM
Thanks for the reply and feedback. Regarding the Moonpay plagiarism, we are powered and supported by Moonpay and we have their consent to be using it. And for the features we are going with what's already out there in the market as we are not trying to re-invent the wheel since we are a start-up.

But we will look into improvements, we do appreciate the feedback.

since you are running a crypto exchange here, may i know if you have the license to operate as crypto exchange and what jurisdiction are you under? it says that you are under the Gold Coin SHPK, based from your site. But is this a registered company and where?
also, as you are collecting info from your users, may we know who are behind this exchange? hope you published real faces and identities here as you are just building trust from crypto users.
6665  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 09, 2020, 09:29:29 PM
How do we speculate if bitcoin and crypto shall prosper under the Biden administration than it does under Trump administration.

What are your views?
Is there a final result with the US election because it looks like there’s a chaos on-going. Anyway, Bitcoin continues to grow and that is not because of Trump but simply because many are slowly adopting bitcoin and if there’s a new administration, same thing will happen not unless the new president will make a statement about fully supporting Bitcoin then expect the price to grow more.

biden wins the presidency but trump doesn't want to concede, but no law to concede. trump may vacate the white house quietly next year.
anyway, whoever is the current president, will not make a significant impact unless as you said they will give a direct support to bitcoin or crypto. and i dont think they will give such direct standpoint when it comes to cryptocurrency.
on the other note, bitcoin is continuously enjoying the market price increase as we are more than 15k level now. guess adoption is really growing these days. and some people are now openly saying they have btc stash like druckenmiller, a billionaire hedge fund investor. certainly, he's not the only one out there, i bet there are more of them still silent with their crypto stash

6666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the new US administration be friendly to bitcoin? on: November 09, 2020, 12:11:24 PM
This man is almost 80 years old! It is probably easier for him to make transactions through a telegraph or send checks by mail than to try to understand bitcoin! Grin
I do not think that he will have a positive or negative attitude towards cryptocurrencies... In general, governments of any country do not approve of decentralization, the United States is no exception...

dont underestimate him. he will have his own research staff take care of that, whether crypto will be beneficial or not to the govt. right now, we dont know his stance towards crypto and doubt that we will ever get his clear disposition towards this matter. i guess, he wont give transparent position on this aspect
but it will show how laws and regulations in crypto will move once he's already in position.
right now, its too early to tell his approach on crypto. but in any case, btc and other alts will still continue to thrive as it is independent of the politics
6667  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Your valuable feedback on the new media company cryptoSreport.com on: November 09, 2020, 06:29:48 AM
Three seconds after I visit your site I have no option but to immediately close it, it's hurting my vision with your very large font, you should not do this, no webmaster is doing this, your traffic rank will go down and interaction with your visitors will suffer.

Why do you want a quick glance I'm also a webmaster and I want my visitors to stay longer on my site to improve the bounce rate and audience retention, you should learn more about search engine optimation.

aside from the very large font, the choice of colour theme is not good. if im a reader, not gonna stay that long like robelneo. not good with the eyes. seems that the one who created this site doesnt know anything about visual ergonomics!
if the web developer doesnt know what he's doing, just use free templates that can be found in the net. maybe, he can come up with better UX/UI design.
if you will not change the font/layout/colour theme, i dont think you can attract some readers here. if you are serious about publishing your site, maybe hire a real web developer here!

and btw, why suddenly there is some vietnamese characters on your main tab. checked the language in google translate. lol

6668  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance will delist POE and TNT on: November 08, 2020, 11:54:38 PM
I am tired of changing the small value tokens to BNB but thanks to the Binance team for this option to clear the dust from the trading balance on exchanges. The reputable and established exchanges can change the rules for any project, I prefer quality over quantity.

im not really familiar with those coins but if they will delist those coins, it means they have good reasons to do so. better clean their list and remove those crappy ones.
unlike other exchanges, they have long list of dead coins but still in their list. should do the cleaning every once in a while to keep their lineup neat with quality projects. i guess this action should be done by every exchange so we will only see active coins in trading.

Finally, an abandoned project called tierion will be delisted from binance. All of the social channels were not active. The volume could not become the reason why binance will delist it.
The developers have gone with all of the money raised during the crowdsale.

No update on tg channel, tg chat and all of groups were getting abandoned.

i believe the major reason is the commitment of the team to the project. because if you will check their trading volume, they are not by any means the lowest.
so getting a snapshot from OP's link, the possible reasons -

now up to you how you will assess their respective situation here

What exchange will your IEO be on?

IEO Round 1 will be on P2PB2B exchange, round 2 we will launch at multiple exchanges which we will announce at the end of December.

p2pb2b exchange has not so good reputation here in the forum. i remember the time that they were trying hard to run their sig campaign but to no success.
so you should know the sentiments of forum users towards p2pb2b exchange. if possible, look for other reputable exchange. but depends on your goals here. just saying that users here are not fans of this exchange. it depends on how you market your platform. but maybe, you can attract traders from p2pb2b itself.
6670  Economy / Economics / Re: Better Days ahead for the economy of developing countries in Africa on: November 08, 2020, 10:11:10 PM
OK guys.. here is the latest news on the topic:

https://punchng.com/okonjo-iweala-wto-postpones-meeting-to-pick-new-wto-dg/

Quote
The World Trade Organisation has postponed a meeting where members are expected to pick a new Director-General after the United States blocked the favoured candidate, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. The WTO earlier announced that the meeting would hold next week. But a communication seen by AFP showed that the meeting has been postponed indefinitely. “It has come to my attention that for reasons including the health situation and current events, delegations will not be in a position to take a formal decision on 9 November,” the head of the selection committee told member states.

The bad news for Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is that US is opposing her candidacy. According to Robert Lighthizer (American representative), WTO needs someone with hands on experience. USA is supporting South Korean candidate Yoo Myung-hee for the post of director general. Now we need to see how much impact the American presidential elections will have on this. There is a chance that the American position may change.

BTW, I have seen a lot of posts saying that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is Nigerian. She is not. She gained the American citizenship in 2019.

so dont celebrate yet here coz it seems that Ngozi will not get the post. too much politics is at play here.
but in case she will not be picked for that position, i guess she can continue her mission to help the African region. her initiatives should not stop if she will not be voted for that position. she should use her influence to push thru some activities that will aid some change from where she came from. it should not be the dead end of things.
6671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 08, 2020, 09:07:54 PM
It is not hard to detect the Ponzi scheme nowadays, average JOE can easily find the basic things using search engines. The experienced gamblers know what and when to do if there is an opportunity, if not they create the opportunity by finding gaps. Buying any kind of software of using the data from third-parties is not guaranteed for success and it can be the reason for bad consequences, unfortunately.

i dont think users from the forum can be screwed by these ponzi schemes. because most of the time, they are already busted as soon as they post their announcement in this forum. there are many scam busters here and they create report in the scam accusations board. so these ponzi scheme projects dont prosper in the forum. maybe outside this forum, there are gullible investors that can fall to this trap. but here? dont think you can find them.
6672  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bplay binance casino? on: November 08, 2020, 06:20:57 PM
Never heard of this before upon looking at the website I've seen that we can login using Binance account, does anyone tested this out yet? Also it looks like they would be asking KYC to players as written on their Terms of Service.

checking the site, seems legit. i checked via my Binance acct and I got in.

but wonder why they are not openly advertising their new casino here?

someone already posted this link mentioning bplay as one of their use cases but for others who want to check this out -
https://www.binance.com/en/blog/421499824684900694/Five-More-BNB-Use-Cases-Play-Shop-Eat-and-More

also, cryptoaddictchie created topic last July about this binance collab and found out that i also posted on this thread. lol

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259235.0

maybe in the future they will have some sort of advertising here.

6673  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinPlay.org – Bitcoin Gambling Directory on: November 07, 2020, 11:31:39 PM
looks like another "review site" that wasn't able to review well what they listed on their website and just care about affiliate program. in my honest opinion i don't think your website would be able to be popular here on the forum since we've already seen a lot of this kind of review sites from before.

they need to offer something different here.. just a typical review site trying to spread their referral link
dont know how many gamblers or players gave their review and come up with the overall rating but it seems it was done by the site alone and the team behind it.
usually gambling review sites coming here in the forum have unfamiliar casino sites in their list. they need to check the gambling board here and maybe they will rectify the list accordingly
but ok they put effort having crypto converter within their site. but dont know if this tab will be of big help to gamblers
6674  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Crypto Jobs 2020 on: November 07, 2020, 10:51:05 PM
There is something about growing industry that takes up a lot of people under its wing and growing together, there is really nothing that could stop you from getting a job as long as all you care about is finding a job related to crypto field, if you are not looking for a specific thing you should be finding one fairly easily if you look and apply all the time.

Obviously there are very advanced positions that would pay a lot of money and it would be incredibly rewarding as well but there are also jobs that you could do like freelancing or bounty hunting and so forth which would be nothing that big of a deal and could find one everywhere, hell airdrops could be considered a job if you work hard on them enough. Hence I believe someone very young right now could grow with crypto world and could become a very successful career for them for a very long time.

that's funny though. i can agree with that. looking for airdrops and participating them can be considered a job as it will consume a lot of time and effort accomplishing the tasks involved. some newcomers in crypto started their journey from those airdrops and giveaways. up until they got good grasp about crypto market. so i guess not bad also for crypto community because those airdrops/giveaways will somehow attract some noncrypto users and eventually convert them to crypto users. because some of them only learn crypto via socmed channels.
but when it comes to crypto-related jobs, it depends on your skills or expertise. you can be a beginner or expert but that should not hinder you in trying out those jobs avail, if you are really looking for it to generate addtl income. but dont expect that every job will pay as per agreement coz some of them are really unprofessionals
6675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 and its impact on gambling on: November 07, 2020, 09:51:12 PM
affecting the gambling industry? No it doesnt but this is just an another major event where gamblers can make some bet on.. We cant be sure if there only that someone bet 5million dollars.

There might be even more which do happen underground.
There was a lot of bets for Trump and to be frank it was really close and even though Biden is leading i did not expect them to be this close, there were many hating on Trump from the beginning especially the Hollywood elites and other prominent voices from certain communities and yet if he is able to gain this much votes it is unbelievable.
But this is another concern. I am still looking on how will the result of the elections affect the gambling industry. That is right, this event became a huge betting topic but its effect to gambling is quite sketchy. But in some sense, there Could be an effect especially if the winning leader will make actions or orders regarding this activity or industry in general. Whether they will ban it or support it but that is something to be determined eventually. For example, if I'm not mistaken, Biden is eyeing for taxation increase so maybe he could also do the same thing in gambling platforms. But at this moment, this is just a possibility and let us hope that things will be good for people and economies no matter who will win this election.

right now, the visible effect on gambling is the betting aspect on politics. for sure, huge money was involved in this single event of american history. but other than that, we dont know the after effect of this election.
not seeing major influence in the gambling industry, other than the fact that most of physical casinos are still in the recovery period because of the pandemic. dont think that increase in taxation will take in effect as businesses are still struggling. not the right time to implement this new regulation.
6676  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io Relaunch on: November 07, 2020, 08:13:11 PM
It would have been better if you fully refunded all those who lost money before starting over again or those who aren't willing investors. Some gambling platforms like Betnomi managed to reversed the negative feedback about them and actually attracted a lot of players (from what I see) but your issue is way worse than them. Best of luck.

That is great of Betnomi but we are just not in the situation where that is possible right now. If I had Bitcoin to refund everyone I would.

I have managed to pay back around $100,000 in the past 6 months hence why the investors are willing to invest again.

But since I can't just refund all myself right now I think taking the approach as some other sites, like ethercrash recently did when they were hacked last week, is by paying back with commission is the best we can do right now.

i can feel the sincerity of yours coming back. though it is hard to gain trust from players but in time, if you will show that genuineness to come back in this industry, i guess you can still get back on your feet. in life, there's always second chance.  Wink

i like the fact that your honest about not being capable of refunding all the remaining people in your list. maybe you can come up with certain type of arrangement that they will be happy to accept it. at least, make your previous investors happy and move on with good spirits. watching how you will progress in this comeback...
6677  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New website to Cryptocurrency by User Rating on: November 06, 2020, 11:48:07 PM
I don't recommend using bootstrap for projects like this. You might want to create your own design if you're serious about it.

I suggest he not spend any more time on design until he gets an audience.  Bootstrap is great for putting up a site without spending a lot of time on design.

As his site is now, it will gain a little attention, but will not grow beyond the active promotions.  Why do we need an anonymous rating system that can be manipulated, when stats like hash rate, transactions, etc prove how popular a crypto is?

this project will be abandoned very soon. not seeing any valuable reason why we need this new site

but wonder how they claim to be the best site for reviewing currencies???

how can they be so sure that they will have accurate information here?
how do they filter users here if they are just requiring email ad for signup?

just want to share some updates for the upcoming eth 2.0 -

https://www.coindesk.com/vitalik-buterin-sends-1-4m-of-ether-in-preparation-for-ethereum-2-0-staking

the eth transactions here -

the party is about to start...

Bitcoin's bullishness threw the flags down and started a race among the alts for which one will be highest in regards to gaining profits to its holders. This happened in 2017 and is happening again now, and Eth still looks standing and waiting to react on the market sentiments till 2.0 rolls out as Vitalik sent his fortune to 2.0 for staking and we might hear some good news soon.

as we speak, the depo contract has about 39973 eth already

let's watch this addy how much they will accumulate in the coming days. $500 will break out soon.
6679  Economy / Economics / Re: What is causing last few days' run-up? on: November 06, 2020, 10:15:34 PM
Current price 15726$, phenomenal, but I am wondering what is causing this run-up?
paypal? That is too distance past. Today is 11/5/2020.
Any intel on this?

It's impossible to know the exact reason. There are too many possible reasons why someone might buy BTC, and therefore why the market might move. That's why technical traders don't focus on news or underlying fundamentals, because those things always get baked into the price. It is therefore more productive and easier to analyze price from a technical (TA) perspective.

With that in mind, there was significant monthly resistance at $12.5K and yearly resistance at $13.9K. When those levels were broken, it caused a significant supply/demand imbalance: all the bears who had sold or shorted below those levels were now being squeezed into buying back. This "short squeeze" significantly pumped the price.

Additionally, breakouts like this tend to lead to positive feedback loops. As price rises, interest and demand and hype increase, causing people to buy, which causes further price increases, and so on. This is how trends are born.

people are just speculating on the possible reasons why the bitcoin market is going up. we can always give those factors involved but tbh, we dont know the impact factor of those situations to the btc market.
indeed, the integration of paypal and the continuous interest of institutional investors towards btc may have influenced the market. but we don't know to what degree they are altering the market.

so you have a point of looking at it in a technical perspective. at least the hypothetical factors are eliminated and we are just looking at the numbers and graphs.

as it seems you are not attracting anymore players from the forum, i guess it is high time to do your promotions here maybe via sig campaign. as you are already in operations for 5 months now, basically you already fixed bugs and the likes.
though i dont know about how much you are generating income here but if  you can afford to advertise your casino, maybe do it in this time where a lot of people are still mostly at home and have the luxury to check casinos and play.
i understand why some users here are associating this with sportsbet because of the green theme that you are using. have you thought about changing it?
