6661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc and alts on: December 15, 2020, 09:52:21 AM
I am confused among these, cauze people says

1. Btc pump then alts dump
2. Alts pump then btc dump
3. Both btc and alts follow each other

But we can see that only the 3rd scenario is happening right now i.e alts are following btc.
What's about the 1st and 2nd.
(Actually I am a newbie in trading)
There's no actual pattern for that. We have seen that happened before and there is no certain clue when the 1, 2 or 3 scenario would happen. There's no actual synchronization of those and we'll just see it randomly. Each of those can happen at no particular order. Glad that you have asked this kind of observation as it shows that you're truly interested to know about how the market works but as a newbie, what you have to do is to follow the advise above which I'll quote for you and focus on it which is the easy step of determining your status in the market as you watch it. No need to worry about such patterns as long as you secure yourself while holding bitcoin.

What you need to do, keep tabs on bitcoin price, buy it at low and then sell at high. Rinse and repeat.
6662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fake Telegram groups on: December 15, 2020, 08:49:12 AM
It's the place of most scammers, they can change their usernames easily and groups could be composed of paid telegram members or a service that puts fake members into that group. Don't be fooled by those scammers and do your part of being vigilant not being greedy if there are giveaways or airdrops that have been said. It's an inappropriate reason that you are interested of that, you need to be aware and DYOR, check the official pages, websites and everything for that certain group or project you research.
6663  Economy / Economics / Re: Look like the crypto will be today what the stock market was 90s on: December 15, 2020, 07:10:30 AM
And most of the market cap from low cap coin will eventually go to bitcoin. Investors become wise in this trend and don't wanna miss every single opportunity from the train we have for bitcoin. As you compare that we're like in 90s of stock market. I've also read some comparison for the great gold rush which is also similar 5 decades ago or so. Which is turning everyone into this great digital gold rush which is gaining itself becoming common due to the necessity that we have through internet.
6664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will eat Gold’s market share, according to JPMorgan on: December 15, 2020, 06:07:42 AM
Things are getting positive for bitcoin this time and it's coming from JP Morgan. Just going back and remembering a few years ago, they're one of the bashers of bitcoin and then turned suddenly that they're accumulating bitcoin that they've hidden for their own sake.
Bitcoin will take every assets share in the future once most of these investors see that there's much more opportunity that their money would grow by just buying and holding bitcoin. It's an asset class although a speculative one still, a very rewarding and they will not go wrong having it.

6666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot go as per your plan on: December 14, 2020, 09:47:04 PM
There has been many topics in this forum with open ended questions like why didn't Bitcoin reach $20k mark or why there has been a slowdown, what's the reason for the recent fluctuations and when is it going to achieve $50k or $100k?

We need to understand that Bitcoin doesn't go as per our expectations or predictions because here are numerous factors which steers the Bitcoin market and price like demand and supply,  government's restrictions on Bitcoin or support for crypto currency then comes the whales. I couldn't answer everyone individually but I hope this will help users who have posted similar articles. Even I was one of them in the past.
When there's a surge, that's what I usually ask. What's the common reason for that rise. I just want to know what's the reason behind it and as usual, the logical answer is the higher demand and lesser supply per se. Plans that we have when to sell doesn't really go along if you're impatient. Like selling at @$18k-$19k or any price that you set. Because when a newbie sees a plunge, he'll create a decision that he'll regret soon. They all think the same that it's like the end of bitcoin. I once had a thought like that before.
6667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $8.2 million worth WNXM token has been hacked on: December 14, 2020, 08:44:54 PM
An easy $300K for the "attacker" huh?
Seems like a good deal. But do they really think that people would believe with those excuses as it's like a magical hack that's been done by one of their people?
This is totally ridiculous on the side of a defi project, they'll create a project and when they're about to be gone, an unexpected event like hacking will come and occur with those reasonings.

You expect me to believe that 😒? It seems like every DeFi projects are now using hacks to dodge some blames and responsibilities, it's more like a planned work, sorry mate I don't believe DeFi hacks anymore, there is now more that meet the eye
I couldn't agree more.
6668  Economy / Economics / Re: Sweden Explores Moving to a Digital Currency on: December 14, 2020, 11:52:48 AM
Are those countries that have implemented digital payments are not considered to be the first countries that have adopted to have their digital currency. They have digital transactions and moved it there, that's just my question and one country that has adopted digital transaction is China.
They're one of the first to adopt the payment transactions held in digital. And I don't see this as a competitor for bitcoin. The payment processors or digital currencies from the government can't be compared to bitcoin nor said as a competitor because bitcoin is going far from it as a digital currency that's based in fiat or local currency.
6669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC next target 😉 on: December 13, 2020, 09:23:59 PM
Well said. This is a true growth for bitcoin. We see that it's entirely different from the past and you can't just ignore those big institutions that have invested millions of dollars into it. That makes it attractive in a natural sense that a no coiner would also be curious why these big financial investors are buying bitcoin. Will they ask themselves, "do they know something we don't know?" just like that. Correction after a correction, we still see the price of bitcoin getting stronger. Alts would come as usual but we don't know when exactly on 2021 they shall soar.
6670  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Virtual/Practice Trading on: December 13, 2020, 07:37:28 PM
What do you imply with virtual trading and practice trading?

I guess virtual trading when you open your account and do demo trades. Practice trading is when you trade with your real money. If I understood you correct, you can practice with demo trades and learn to get entry, exit price, and price actions but demo trades never help you to practice your emotional control. Emotion is important and you can not trade successfully if you can not control your emotions and orders.
Yes, that's it and you're right. It's the demo for those platforms that allows their users to practice trading which he's telling. This is quite popular these days for those who are starting out and want to learn how the market works. It's a very simple feature yet it's very much effective for those who want to try it without having any investment or real cash to be affected as you do your trade. Virtual money = play money. I used to do this before when my friend also introduced me but it's for the stocks and searching for crypto if there are any, as result, there are really many of them. It doesn't matter if you are too emotional or not but you just have to learn the basics and the wave of the market through that demo account.
6671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you sell your BTC for $100 000, and never go back to the game again? on: December 13, 2020, 06:53:41 PM
I'm about to say yes and get out for real in the game. But if we talk about future and long term goals, we're at win with bitcoin and it can even surpass the given price of deal. If there's no condition of getting back of having it again, I'd definitely sell all @$100k.  Tongue
But if I ever do and agrees with the deal, I'll invest into some other things but not as volatile as bitcoin but at least it will continuously me allow to earn from that profit that I've made. It's not gold or silver.
6672  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There is no certainty in trading on: December 13, 2020, 06:16:39 PM
I want us to understand that no mind can control or know a token direction with total certainty; which is why there are always dump (or price corrections as you may call it). The only certainty while trading crypto currency is PROBABILITIES; because in trading, at every moment there are so many different possibilities, entries and even exits; your level of interpretation will determine the one you go for and also prepare for when the market does not obey your predictions

This is why you have to be consistent in your 'right' process.
Trading is also like gambling. You don't have anything to guarantee as you trade and even you're an expert, you can still fall with your emotion that could lead to losing. I agree about your term which is "level of determination". This is exactly as it is depending to the trader and how he's well equipped with knowledge, experience and research-based facts to understand what's the possible next move of the market. It all sums up and it will create a results that only you can finalized it and see if it's effective or not based from how you prepared on it.
6673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the current Bull run stop on: December 12, 2020, 09:49:13 PM
I believe what drives this current crypto market is different from that of 2017, 2017 was about whales getting their hands on whatever and predicting/pushing prices up. This time around a lot of players are in the market, it is difficult to tell.
2017 was about ICOs but this year we've got the Defi, there's still sort of similarity but what's making the drive of the bull run this time is the demand and the actual investors. Bigger investors came in and they're not just investors but they're the institutions that have been caught interested to invest in bitcoin. The halving was another factor, the halving of bitcoin. It's what makes bitcoin stronger this time and the influence that it has affects most of the altcoins in the market with the combined events that they have like 2.0 for Ethereum and etc.
6674  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that the price of bitcoin is going to exceed 20,000$? on: December 12, 2020, 08:46:00 PM
It would be really fun if Bitcoin hits $20,000. Because that's good news for our community. I also hope the end of 2020 the day Bitcoin will break the old price and set a record in the crypto market. We cannot be sure of anything but I have hope because I love Bitcoin.
Old price? old ATH? is that what you meant? well, it has already broke the past ATH if that's what you're thinking. Look at bitcoin chart and check for the past days/weeks and witnessed that you've seen it broke the ATH of 2017 but you just didn't saw it personally hitting.
@OP you've asked this 10 days ago and the price was sitting on $19k so obviously that would be possible to happen. If you don't have any timeframe or deadline when it should happen, much better because it will.
6675  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tip. on: December 12, 2020, 08:00:20 PM
I have locked my profits but not with that price on $21000. Any idea when that could be? this is like having a free signal but it's still depending to the readers if they'll take a look at your analysis. But it doesn't matter even if many or few will listen to you.
Because the most important matter here is that you still get to lock your profits whether there will be no one that would listen to you. Do you have some analysis for long term like in 2021's end of year?
6676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **family survives 40 countries living only on Bitcoins** on: December 12, 2020, 07:12:15 PM
I'm curious how was their life during the great bearish market but they're still up in profit after realizing that they've bought at a lower price in 2017. I envy this guy that he gets to travel to 40 countries together with his family and even used bitcoin as their main currency for survival.
This guy is a real legend and advocate of bitcoin. He applied it with his family and not just used it but he lived with it.

If you mean the bearish market in 2020, then it probably did not hurt them much because the bearish period was relatively short. And it also depends on when they bought their Bitcoins. If they did in 2016 and 2017 it is very likely that they bought relatively cheap to todays prices. Even if they bought at the peaks of 2017 they would have not made such a big loss if you take the average prices of the last three years. So, overall this would probably has not been a big issue for them.
The other one on 2018. We're mostly in bad time by that year and this year was way better than it. They've bought bitcoin early on 2017 and that was before the bull run that came to happen on end of year of 2017.
They haven't sold on bull 2017 IIRC and that's why I'm thinking about it how did they coped up during 2018. But realizing it, they're still up in profit because they've bought under $3k and the price was still 3 digits by that time.
6677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never replace fiat cash. on: December 12, 2020, 06:40:19 PM

Can you give more a description of that coin? I think I've heard that even before and still nothing happened. But there's CBDC, is this the coin that you're saying that would soon replace fiat? we're going digital so cash would be gone out for sure when every transaction is happening in the cloud.

Can you give more a description of that coin?
Sure it`s like bitcoin but everyone has the same hashrate or we all are distributed supply at the same rate, using block height or elapsed duration, everyone could be given the same amount of coins every block or every hour.

Never heard of CBDC.

You can have your time googling what's the description of it. Basically it is backed up by the banks and they're about to make it in different continents, like one in Europe, China, IIRC Japan and there are more to come in the future. With the similarity of your description of what you're thinking that should be made, I don't think that there will be any consensus within it. And if someone comes up with that idea and make an application out of it, that would be hard because the community has already been in the favor of bitcoin and it's hard to convince everyone from leaving bitcoin into a new and unknown coin that you're mentioning.
6678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never replace fiat cash. on: December 11, 2020, 09:08:17 PM
Bitcoin will never replace fiat cash.
It's good as an alternative to cash. We still need cash and that's a reality.

A coin everyone mints at the same rate will.  It will also replace bitcoin and all of the shitcoins.

Mark my words.

6680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin FAILED? on: December 11, 2020, 07:26:16 PM
No, it wouldn't be replaced by another "crypto project". There could be some projects that the government will work with try to remove the attention of bitcoin but they can't just create a project that's totally decentralized. That will be totally a loose project on their side if no control is being shown to the people who are interested in joining that project. The reality is that bitcoin is here to stay, as long as it lives and it has all the demand that it's getting, it will remain the number 1 cryptocurrency. Before a lot of people want to see institutions joining and investing in bitcoin and now that they're here, I think that's an absurd idea thinking that bitcoin will be just for rich people soon. It is for everyone, capable or not capable individuals or institutions.
