6681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: September 03, 2017, 03:05:25 PM
Now that the Kyrie drama is over, what's up with the Carmelo trade? Still no updates eh?

And media keeps on talking about his new look, did someone saw it here then? I have no news about Carmelo trade. Talking about the schedule of this season, I'm excited to see the match up of Kyrie and Lebron. Yes, only them not the whole team I want to see on how this game will be too physical with former teammates playing for different teams now, I hope it will still be played professionally.

Still waiting for any development if melo will jumped over a new team but right now still all speculations and no confirmation yet melo is getting old so its much better to see him retitirng maybe from this team or the nuggets I guess but right we will wait until the final say of their team owners.
It is still up to the New York Knicks' decision if they want to trade and to start a rebuild. If they don't have a promising start then this is the right path to take either trading Carmelo Anthony or Kristaps Porzingis or both for picks is a good idea. They can both follow the path on what Boston Celtics has did trading there stars for picks and look what they have now a good teams with still a lot of good trading assets. I just hope they would get the better part of the deal.
I feel like the Knicks only option is to rebuild and trading for picks would be their best option. It's pretty clear they are not good enough to win now and with Boston getting better they look like they will be the team to be beat for the next several years. I will give Cleveland one more year of making the finals and then they will give up the Eastern crown to the Celtics.

The thing is that teams that has the good picks for future drafts don't want him.

As long as lebron is leading the cavs and is consistently building a team like the one they have right now, it may take more than a year or two before the cavs relinquish the east title. Lets face it, boston only got kyrie and probably would be at par with the teams up in the division but every team in the east is below the cavs right now
6682  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: September 03, 2017, 03:03:08 PM
I'm independent of gambling and can safely spend months without them without feeling uncomfortable. For me, this is the same entertainment as playing tennis or beach volleyball.
That's good for you knowing that you can easily control yourself over other things because there are people suffering from different addictions and it's difficult for them to stop it. It's good to limit oneself in order to have the optimum outcome of gambling (if he or she is in a casino)

If you really think about it, gambling is nothing of importance and can be set aside at will if a person kniws what his priorities are and what things are important to him. I try to put myself in a gambler's shoe but i still cam't wrap my mind how people get so much out of control when it comes to gambling
6683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: September 03, 2017, 02:56:12 PM
You are aware of the tactics gambling sites use to keep their customers in their places and you know winning is just a fake idea but addicts still play chasing this idea. I want to know which category of gamblers you belong to. What personal decisions do you take?

It is not really a fake idea or anything that you accuse. In fact alot of people have won however the number of people that lose are alot more. If you cant really face the fact that you cant win money easily in gambling then dont gamble at all. It is not for everybody however some people might be able to win some money

Well the people that lost far outnumbers those that actually won. Though i agree with you. Almost all gamblers are aware of the high possibility of losing compared to that of winning. It's sometimes hard to grasp for someone like me who really doesn't take gambling seriously but gambling has different effects on people depending on how they see it in their lives.
6684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: September 03, 2017, 02:35:51 PM
I would provide my family and fulfill all my dreams, and if there is still money, I will be engaged in charity to help all people in need. Only first you need to win so much money Smiley
I hope people like you have those real intentions and especially for the charity that you are talking about. It's easy to say but hard to do in the real situation. I hope when somene does win, they would be able to help people in their own way.

Yeah, i think a lot of people are thinking about the same thing. Some would find it as a way of giving thanks and paying it forward for the blessing they received when they win. Although gambling is really not something that religious people would do but none the less if you can help other people with it then thats good
6685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite game (gambling) on: September 03, 2017, 02:25:31 PM
I don't like to gamble on casino games as it is dependent only on luck so I prefer to go for sports gambling where you always have an chance of making some money if you have a good knowledge of the game and the players so I generally prefer to gamble on cricket, soccer and tennis.

I think when it comes to chances in winning, many would agree with you including me. Though i really don't consider it a game that i play since there are no direct interaction to the game, it is the best gambling type to earn money. Poker would be the best for me. It basically get everything in it already. Skill, timing, acting, and it tests your nerves.
6686  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be a more secured way of handling cash? on: September 02, 2017, 03:40:39 PM
In terms of security from stealing, yes. But I would add something else. If you hold your 10$ in cash, you will be able to buy less goods next year for that because of inflation. You can get small interest if you hold that in bank. But it is better to invest in BTC than to hold that in bank. My point is that BTC is more secured and better way of holding money.
This is really the key feature of bitcoin on which you do really have the full control of your money as long you do have the keys on your wallet. No one would able to take it from you as long those keys arent exposed and no one did able to know that. Talking about price depreciations banks and bitcoin would really be different when it comes on storing money and its potential increase on a single year. Bitcoin is really much better.
Only a fool can prefer banks over bitcoins. Bitcoins are safer than banks, many banks in the history got hacked and people lost their huge amounts. We can’t totally rely on banks for the safety of our money. Bitcoins present less risk of getting hacked or robbed. They are safest way of saving money.
I will appreciate to what you have said. Bitcoins are not far more secure way of keeping money but also a golden chance to increase the worth of what you have with each passing second. BTC is much more reliable way of keeping money.

Well if banks can be hacked so can your wallets. The good thing with btc is that its anonymous and many people feel safe that way but banks also have efficient ways to keep privacy and security. I'd still prefer bitcoin as well though lol
6687  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make money only with BTC on: September 02, 2017, 03:29:50 PM
I hear many saying they don't mess with altcoins...how do you make money with btc?

Just buy the dips, sell for usd (or other fiat), then buy back in...rinse and repeat?

I'm not talking about long term holding but about how to build up your bitcoin without touching alts.

Thanks

Its not easy to make money on bitcoin, if you have a good strategy how to make money on bitcoin are many different ways like trade on altcoins or buy bitcoin then hold it. Or do join signature campaign and also social media campaign. That is my way to make money on btc.

The key would be to know when the right time is to buy and sell bitcoins. The good thing there is that since btc is pretty well known, big dips would be hard to miss and, knowing that its certain to recover, it would be a great opportunity to stock up. Btc's price doesn't all the time move dramatically so if you see a big drop, don't waste time and buy.
6688  Economy / Economics / Re: Is USD being used for illegal activities? on: September 02, 2017, 03:18:49 PM
I don't think there's any currency in the world  that has not been used for illegal activities. Although It depends on the type of illegal activities or business in which you are referring to.
Well you may be right. You never know what is going on under the tables. But as far as Bitcoin is concerned, we have never seen any such event which is reported which gives us the proof that Bitcoin Is being used in any sort of illegal activities.

It may not be on the news but i think people doing illegal activities are thay dumb not to see how bitcoin's anonymity can make their lives easier. It's probably being used for a few years now
6689  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: September 02, 2017, 03:12:18 PM
there are only three ways to double your BTC: investment, trading or gambling.
all what you need to do is to research on these three notions and then make a decision.

Well the last one you metioned dude doesn't need much effort to double or even triple your bitcoins. All you need there is one lucky stroke and voila. Though you most likely will end up with less bitcoins if you're not lucky.
6690  Economy / Economics / Re: advantages of trading satoshis instead of whole bitcoins on: September 02, 2017, 03:08:25 PM
Well first of all, not all of us are fortunar enough to even hold 1 btc. So most of the time, yeah i trade satoshis. Honestly i haven't tried or i haven't had the capability to trade bitcoins lol
6691  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: September 02, 2017, 03:04:14 PM
Yes it is possible to bitcoin to lose it's value or probably go back when the price was only $2 everything is posdible with regards to the value of bitcoin because it's very unpredictable

Unpredictable as it is, i don't think it would lose valie that much that it would plunge to even below 2 or 3k now. Everything's possible but he likelihood of bitcoin going all the way down in slim with this many supporters now
6692  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: September 02, 2017, 02:57:36 PM
So I have 2 cousins. One of them doesn't save and is a huge spender while the other is a saver and spends only once a year. So would bitcoin be a good way to teach them about saving? Since, mining bitcoin is the only way to make alot of bitcoin, I would use a alt wallet to show them what happens if you spend and don't save. What do you think?
Your intention for the kids was quite good actually, But my question is from what age do you think we need to teach a kid about savings?
this is very important we are talking about the future using bitcoin.

Probably best to use other methods in teaching them how to save. Probably something that would interest them more and are more connected to fun and games. Btc would be too complicated i think
6693  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: September 02, 2017, 02:55:03 PM
it may take time to socialize bitcoin to everyone so they know bitcoin and get involved in it, if this is the case, bitcoin development will continue to increase and possibly many stores or other means that provide transaction services with bitcoin.

It maybe sooner than we expect though. But of course, it would all be online. Personally i'm seeing more and more buying and selling using btc. I myself am buying from an online retailer with btc. We're not exactly there yet when most retailers accept btc but we're well on our way
6694  Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin on: September 02, 2017, 02:48:25 PM
They cant do anything with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencys. Its here, and the only reason to disappear is only being replaced for a better techology. The best move the government got... they can legalize it so they can earn some taxes about it, but seems they are underestimate the power of Bitcoin...

They will have a hars time and heavy challenge if they think it would be easy to tax btc. It goes against btc's nature so i don't think that's possible unless they can find a middle ground gatbwon't compromise bitcoin's basic features.
6695  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: September 02, 2017, 02:21:50 PM
I think 60 percent of people own bitcoin by 2020, many people already investing in bitcoin. Because many people use internet and own computer so that people started invest and convince to use bitcoin.

I agree that we might see exponential growth in the user base within next 3 years but still, 60% of world's population is a too much extreme prediction. A person using a computer might not use Bitcoin for some reasons so the number of computer/internet users should not be the main criteria to determine the prediction of Bitcoin's growth. I doubt if we really have 60% of the world's population using the internet.

Yeah i think so too. It needs to be a little bit more conservative because 2020 is just 3 years from now. I don't even think a quarter of the population would have owned btc then. The rate of btc usage is consistently rising but i don't think 3 years is long enough to see everyone owning btc
6696  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: September 02, 2017, 09:53:54 AM
What is the obstacles, challenges and problems that Bitcoin can face it in 5 years? How we can help Bitcoin to take more authoritative place in the world of currency system?

Well, I see bitcoin running with the fiat of a certain country in which it is legalized and I think one of the biggest trouble that bitcoin will ever have is when that time comes that every country legalized bitcoin taxes may come in front, since bitcoin gives a huge amount of money there is a certain part where in governments cannot control it , so they will look for a possible way to get something to it.

That's given. Governements will always try to find a way to tax anything hat generates money. I'm not sure how that will blend though because as we all know btc can be pretty hard to control and manipulate by governments
6697  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: September 02, 2017, 09:48:00 AM
I believe that large banks can be trusted because they have been working for years and value their reputation so as not to lose all customers. The banking system is now very common around the world and without it it is difficult to conduct business or earn money for those who do not yet know about crypto-currencies.
Right. I don't we can't completely trust banks as before cryptocurrency even was thought of, banks have been taking care of our money for us. Of course we've seen the flaws and advances of banks and bitcoin showed that to us but i also still think its importsnt to have a bank account
6698  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: September 01, 2017, 03:03:37 PM
Cashless society? I think it is impossible to achieve there are a lot of consideration to make it happen even cryptocurrencies are actively used in digital world. If you notice not all establishment/business are open to cryptocurrencies transaction. Some societies have no idea what is bitcoin and it uses. For me cashless society is impossible to make it happen.

Not really impossible but it will take a whole lot to make this a reality. Some.countries perhaps can support a society without cash entirely but there will be setbacks that would have to be hurdled at the start. It may take a hundred years if we're all even alive by then to seriously think about removing physical money transactions
6699  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: September 01, 2017, 03:00:40 PM
Well every investors aim of investing is to make good and high profit, and your aim of doing business is to stake high return and if all the above mentioned are likely to be your mindset towards investing I think you should consider investing in bitcoin.
In bitcoin is very easy to make high gains on you initial capital, due to the steady rise of bitcoin to other currency.
Is almost very difficult to loose money when you invest in bitcoin.

True. I can't really believe how bitcoin and crypto change my life. All my fiat savings and other assets including stocks look very pale in comparison with my crypto assets. And this is not too late. We are still at pioneering stage.
It can really change our life a lot. Btc been too good for us that it helps us alot in our financial status. Soon it can grow more so we should work hard and double our efforts.
No doubt that bitcoin is a very profitable investment. I think if you want to change your life and your finances get better then one way is from investing in bitcoin. you need to know that the potential of bitcoin in the future is still very big. new users will keep coming and it will make the price higher, its mean if you save and invest in bitcoin you will get a profit dude!

At this point, up to the next couple.of years, i think it's the best way to invest your money on. Of course it's still better to diversify your investments but if you ask me, i'd put quite a bulk of it on btc.
6700  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: September 01, 2017, 02:58:19 PM
I know that I need to work hard. And I need to budget my money. I will have the diligence to work in bitcoin to earn allot of money.i think bitcoin will help us to be succes in the future

Right. Bitcoin is a tool that we can use to go to that spot we wanted to be ever since. If you want to get rich, bitcoin can give you a lot of chances to do so. And it reay doesn't take a lot. Invest time and effort to learn the things that can make you rich because its abundant in crypto.
