6681  Economy / Digital goods / Re: (WTS) Cryptocards - Unique Collectible Cards on Blockchain on: January 26, 2018, 01:40:35 PM
This is very cool! I’ve wanted to see Smart Contracts in action for some time!

This may be a little off topic as I’m simply curious - how many “functions” per say, of this card game, are handled by smart contracts ..if that makes sense? Really cool idea and will be looking in to it! Thx for sharing.

Thx LC

Krogo- I was gunna email them. Just thought someone here might have the coin handy. I kinda like the look.
6683  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Infinitum Coin toning or on purpose ? on: January 26, 2018, 01:07:36 AM
Thanks Krogo!

That is what I’m thinking-seemed to be done on purpose. I don’t mind it. Happy with their coins overall. However their capsules are junk and many came partly broken.
6684  Economy / Collectibles / Infinitum Coin toning or on purpose ? on: January 26, 2018, 12:35:54 AM
Just received my set of coins and noticed the Leo 2 Oz has what looks to be tarnish around the lettering. However it also looks like it was possibly done on purpose to me.  Wondering if others have seen the same ? https://imgur.com/a/RKNw3

6686  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [GroupBuy] Satori Coins GB for EU/NA/Rest of World II [CLOSED] on: January 26, 2018, 12:10:03 AM
Hampz- have you considered at all having a special made Satori coin for the next GB?

I've been thinking about this since I learned that they've done custom chips in the past, currently talking with Moto about it to see what we can figure out. They are more or less out of stock any day now without knowing if they'll make more of the 0.001 chips so I guess they are kind of busy for the time being.. I'll let you guys know though Cheesy

I buy too few rolls to have any say in this, but with all of the amazing artists here I’m confident something really cool would come of it. Not to mention a special/limited edition chip/coin. Look forward to hearing what he says/what you decide!

6688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will people lose intrest? on: January 25, 2018, 11:44:22 PM
One thing I’ve been preaching for a long time is that Bitcoin ISNT THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN. If you truly understand cryptocurrency then you know that many Altcoins or “shitcoins” if you will, have been designed to be nothing like Bitcoin! Take for example Ethereum which is used for Smart Contracts it lets take IOTA which is a coin made specifically for the Internet of Things industry. Blockchain is also something that has caught on and has an entirely different life than Bitcoin (even though they were introduced to the world simultaneously).
6689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about btc future on: January 25, 2018, 11:33:45 PM
I worry about Bitcoin in all honesty, but it still remains king and I’m confident that the Bitcore team will be able to right the shift. The lighting network has given me a whole new view of Bitcoins future (even though I do still worry). Great article/reading anyone can understand- https://medium.com/@melik_87377/lightning-network-enables-unicast-transactions-in-bitcoin-lightning-is-bitcoins-tcp-ip-stack-8ec1d42c14f5

Let’s also not forget Bitcoin isn’t the only game in town. It could lose out to a more efficient coin if they’re not careful.
6690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Russia on: January 25, 2018, 11:28:46 PM
Russia disgusts me. Any country with human rights laws as ancient as theirs needs serious restructuring. I am sickened by Russia’s dictatorship and lack of social progress. Just like China, Russia has an iron fist rule on its people and if anything I could see Russia’s government creating their own cryptocurrency (likely the only to be legal).
6691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft stopped accepting payment by bitcoin on: January 25, 2018, 11:26:29 PM
This one was a hard thing to stomach, but it’s understandable. Bitcoin fees have become too high and the need for the LN is more evident than ever. In all honestly I do fear a bit for Bitcoin in this situation. Bitcoins shortcomings are simply going to lead to other coins being seen as more efficient in payment system terms. However I still hold out hope that then LN makes major changes and the Bitcore team get their shit together!
6692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never join any pump and dump groups on: January 25, 2018, 11:19:32 PM
As a licensed advisor this is one thing that I preach heavily against. In the world of finance, when things seem too good to be true, the age old adage “then they probably are” holds true. Take for example the Ponzi scheme that Was/is Bitconnect. Promising insane ROI’s that no bank or government can do. Bitconnect has since shut down proving the ago old theory is still relevant.

6694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why aren't there more women in Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2018, 12:23:48 AM
I’ve spent about 14 years in the financial industry and it has been mostly dominated by men but thankfully I’ve seen the increasing roll of women in recent years. The truth as to why? The way men and women have been raised for centuries. Women have been “pushed” towards other interested such as the arts and quite often simply homemaking. Glad to see this change, if not slowly ..but surely.
6695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC the new gold ? on: January 25, 2018, 12:06:56 AM
Bitcoin is not the new gold, this nonsense is tiring. One is a precious metal that has been used as a means of payment between man since the dawn of time. The other is a non-tangible digital asset with no real world “physical” uses. That being said owning both is the right move (depending on ones current portfolio).
6696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain technology or pure speculation? on: January 25, 2018, 12:03:59 AM
I’m interested in Bitcoin for the same reasons I fell in love with it some 3+ years ago. BTC itself as a payment system is revolutionary and likely the way money is headed, period, IMO. Now Blockchain is something entirely different and revolutionary in its own way. In fact, Blockchain has a higher ceiling than Bitcoin itself. The price rise has been a nice bonus to multiple new technologies I support heavily.
6697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a mode of payment on: January 24, 2018, 11:15:45 PM
I use Bitcoin as a method of payments between personal friends as well as in the collectibles section. That being said, I am holding out a lot of hope for the lightning network! Bitcoin payments have become too expensive and slow and has meant the use of Alts being needed.
6698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: January 24, 2018, 11:13:39 PM
If it’s not Bitcoin it’s going to be something else. The rise in cryptocurrency has stemmed many alternatives which are much more anonymous than Bitcoin itself.  The case of Silk Road shows exactly how people can be tracked down via Bitcoin payments.
6699  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / BTC LN and why it makes sense (easy reading geared for non-coders) on: January 24, 2018, 11:05:20 PM
A buddy in a slack group passed this article over to me. It was written for people like, me..the non-code talker.  This is an easy read in which actually makes sense even if you’re not a Mr Robot type. I wanted to pass this along in hopes that it’s as useful to someone else as it was for myself - https://medium.com/@melik_87377/lightning-network-enables-unicast-transactions-in-bitcoin-lightning-is-bitcoins-tcp-ip-stack-8ec1d42c14f5
