Thanks @CryptoYar, Unfortunately, we might have been late as someone has lost 1.1 XRP from this fake and malicious domains.

But the good news is that a there is a "Deceptive site ahead" warnings already. But we need to be very vigilant as there might be new phishing sites that will pop up again.
6683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on Track for USD 100,000 in 2025 on: November 06, 2020, 09:59:26 PM
for price to be stable above $100k 2025 seems like a good estimate since it is about 5 years from now but to reach that as a new record (or ATH) then 2025 is a very far away time. such price should be reached in the next bubble which would most probably take place in 2021 (next year).
similar to all the previous bubbles, we will see a new unrealistic high price (like $20, $100, $220, $1200, and finally $19800) this time closer to $100k or maybe even higher then it pops while price drops another 70 to 80%. this trend has already started and it can conclude in a year from now.

I also have a little faith in me that Btc might hit the "almost" impossible price range in 2021.

I'm too lazy to read the whole speculative discussions way before 2017 bullrun, did a lot of people predicted Bitcoin to reach $19k? Because bullish speculations may help Btc to reach new ATH.
2025 is still far, and there's still a lot of things to happen and price changes as well. Who knows we might be able to see $100k just before 2025.
as a matter of fact there were. maybe not accurately predicting the $20k ATH but pretty close. there is an old logarithmic chart that extrapolates the existing data from many years ago (i think from 2013) and outlines the future bitcoin trend which was very close in predicting the 2017 ATH.
my speculation above was also based on past experiences and the way i see this market going. with the adoption speeding up these days i am convinced that we see the repetition of 2017 very soon.

Yeah, we can even go as far back as 2011 and see old charts predicting the price close to the 2017 all time highs and yet people that time didn't hold into their bitcoins and sold them early. So I guess we should all learn a big lessons from the past. That in the future the price of bitcoin can really rally to $50k or even $100k as the markets mature and adoption is speeding up unexpectedly.
6684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How cryptocurrencies could allow financial inclusion ? on: November 06, 2020, 09:34:23 PM
Just a few notes though, crypto is not like a magic bean that will solved our financial problems, it might be a tool, but there are not shortcuts, we all need to work hard in order to attain our financial freedom. Second, banks are not going away, they have been in existence of hundreds if not thousands of years. Crypto will not simply make them obsolete. Cryptos like Bitcoin and Ethereum might disrupt the current financial systems, but it won't be the single answer for everyone's economic woes.
6685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Philippines Allows Land-Based Casinos to Accept Bets Online on: November 06, 2020, 09:10:34 PM
For Filipinos out there:

Quote
The Philippines has allowed land-based casinos to accept bets online, in a move that could help operators mitigate losses from the pandemic. Gaming stocks rose.

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. has approved the applications of Bloomberry Resorts Corp.’s Solaire Resort and Casino, City of Dreams Manila, and Okada Manila for betting through the Internet, president Alfredo Lim said in mobile-phone messages.

https://ph.news.yahoo.com/philippines-allows-land-based-casinos-to-accept-bets-online-025956597.html

The Philippine government made some changes in response to the lockdown, as they approved land based casino's to accept online bet. I'm not really sure how this could be implemented though, but this is a good news for Filipino. I myself received a text message from one of them, City of Dreams, that their casino are already open and you can play and bring one companion. But I haven't try it though, I don't want to take risks, but it they allowed to accepts bets online then it will be good.

What are your thoughts on this?
6686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Haney vs Gamboa WBC World Lightweight Title on: November 06, 2020, 08:47:12 PM
You can watch the final press conference here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3xKvfnCq5k

Looks like Gamboa is a man of few words, anyways, it's funny that Haney brought up the subject that he meet Gamboa when he was like 9-10 years old in his father's gym and Gamboa acknowledge that. Also  they touch base on Gamboa injuring himself in the Davis fight and yet he almost go for a full 12 rounds. So for sure he will give everything in this fight as this could be his last chance for a world belt. But Haney definitely is young and in the discussions for the best fighter in this division together with Lopez, Davis and Ryan Garcia.

6688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is pumping on: November 05, 2020, 11:17:04 PM
Yes, we did touch a new higher highs this year.

So let me ask you a question in one word tell me:
1. Will Bitcoin create a new ATH?

- Definitely, it will be just a matter of time, 2021 might be another good year for bitcoin holders.

2. What is your price prediction?

- I'm seeing around $40k-$50k, almost or more than doubling the last previous all time high.

3. Will Bitcoin reach $50,000 this time.

- Yes, for me, I don't know what others think though.
6689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received a call/text recently from a friend/fam asking about Bitcoin? on: November 05, 2020, 10:41:10 PM
So brace yourself everyone, I'm pretty sure we will get all the attention from friends and families, in our social media nagging us about our beloved BTC. I haven't heard anything though, but there was a message in my Facebook account from a friend that was also in crypto trying to connect me and himself about another old friend specially all about crypto trading and investing. I never bother to answer it though, hehehe. And I'm sure we all know where this is heading so it's either you shutdown your social media presence, or answer your old acquaintances questions about crypto and bitcoin, it's your call.  Smiley
6690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading hours on: November 05, 2020, 10:19:06 PM
Even though crypto-market is open 24/7 I've noticed that trading at certain hours (depending on time zone) is more active with more volatility. Sometimes it's right after US stock market opens, sometimes it's on weekends.
What do you think the reasons?

During weekends, trading somehow slow down. And even though that market is open 24x7, we still have the "follow the sun" rule. You can also read this speculation thread:

6692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin II on Jan 30, 2021 on: November 05, 2020, 09:27:51 PM
He is already in the hospital so obviously, he is on the recovery mode right now. There are also others in his time who also tested positive. As for the original date, someone will fill it up, so that the organisers are going to continue with other fighters and not waste the schedule date. The Jan 30, 2021 is just tentative date though, so it might change depending on Povetkin's recovery.

Povetkin cannot be in tip top shape in just a short period of time, it will be in Whyte advantages if they push through with the date, March should be the best date for Povetkin's body to fully recover, Whyte can always face someone, but there's a risk that he might lose a fight to other fighters, because no one really thought that he'll lose to Povetkin that way.
It's up to Whyte camp's on how they are going to proceed, will they want to wait or look for another opponent.

That's why the organisers said that it is a tentative date of Jan 30, meaning it could be pushed in Feb-March to give way for Povetkin to recover. Yes, it will be up to Whyte's camp to face someone instead of waiting for Povetkin, or just continue to train to Povetkin, so let's see how it goes, there are names already floating around for Whyte possible opponents, so it will be a difficult decision for him and his team.

6695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atari Token: Public Sale of the Atari Token to begin October 29, 2020 on: November 04, 2020, 09:54:52 PM
Unfortunately, Atari token was also a victim of pump and dump, as it goes down 70% after the public sales.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/atari-token-falls-70-just-days-after-public-sale-concludes

Quote
Atari’s new Ethereum token fell off a cliff when trading began, leaving investors wondering what was behind the dump.

Atari Token (ATRI), the first foray into a gaming digital currency by legendary video game developers Atari Interactive, ended its first 36 hours of trading down almost 70%. The current price is well below the public sale price and is even below the discounted price in the presale rounds.

The token sale — held on Bitcoin.com exchange and concluding two days before trading began — was reportedly marred by several mishaps. These included challenges with order processing, non-crediting of funds, and delays in withdrawals of up to 16 hours. The Atari Token team has yet to comment on these issues and their usually active Twitter account has been relatively silent over the last few days.

And probably this will be just another legacy token in the ecosystem because of it's name.

6697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Grayscale is stockpiling of bitcoin on: November 04, 2020, 08:25:35 PM
Yes, it will serve as a store of value mostly for institutional investors but not well adopted if it's too expensive and scarce.

That's what they said when bitcoin was just $10, "it's too expensive" and then if went from $100, people sold make money, and then it goes to an all time high of almost $20k, lessons here, there's no such thing as expensive bitcoin. If you are willing to buy it at certain price and used it as a store of value, chances are you can make a lot of money out of it. And that's why Grayscale are heavily investing on bitcoin today and the next coming years.

The NFT Game That Makes Cents for Filipinos During COVID

In the Philippines, one popular blockchain-based game is even providing pathways out of poverty and helping spread the word about novel technology. Created by Sky Mavis, a Vietnamese startup, Axie Infinity is a decentralized application (dapp) on the Ethereum blockchain where players breed, raise, battle and trade adorable digital critters called Axies.

Ijon Inton, an Axie player from Cabanatuan City, which is about 68 miles north of Manila in the province of Nueva Ecija, first learned about it in February of this year when his friend stumbled across an explainer video on YouTube. Intrigued by the “Play to Earn” element of the game, he decided to give it a go.

“At first I just want to try its legitimacy, and after a week of playing I was amazed with my first income,” said Inton, who is currently earning around 10,000 PHP ($206) per week from playing the game around the clock.

Inton soon invited his family to play, too, and after a few weeks, he also started telling his neighbors. A crypto trader since 2016, Inton helped his friends set up a Coins.ph account so they could buy their first ETH and get started. Now, there are more than 100 people in his local community playing to earn on Axie, including a 66-year-old grandmother.

6699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Nordine Oubaali vs. Nonito Donaire - December 12 on: November 03, 2020, 09:37:21 PM
Just for the record, Oubaali beat Naoya's younger brother Takuma in the undercard of Inoue vs Donaire for the WBSS Finals. And perhaps this is the reason why Naoya wanted to fake the winner of this fight, and it's a win-win situation for him, if Oubaali then he can take revenge for his brother's lost, or if Donaire win, he already has the blueprint to beat him.

For the Oubaali vs Donaire though, Oubaali is very aggressive, perhaps the likes of Omar Narvaez or Montiel, who Nonito defeated convincingly, also Oubaali is south paw, and Donaire loves to fight south paw because he is a good counter puncher, I'm expecting to see more of his counter left hook. So I would still say that Donaire can win here either by KO/TKO, but he needs to train hard and not gas out in the latter to championship rounds as Oubaali could last the full distance.

Unfortunately, the fight is postponed due to Povetkin testing positive for Covid-19.

Quote
The November 21 heavyweight rematch between Alexander Povetkin and Dillian Whyte has been postponed, due to Povetkin testing positive for COVID-19. The bout was due to air live on Sky Sports Box Office in the United Kingdom and on DAZN-USA in the U.S. live from SSE Arena at Wembley, but will instead carry a working date of January 30, 2021.

https://www.boxingscene.com/povetkin-hospitalized-positive-covid-test-whyte-rematch-postponed--152981

I think this is good news for Whyte as he can recovered psychologically and train harder. And we hope the Povetkin can recovered from the virus itself.
