6705  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS a list of known scammers - Must buy guide before buying from forum "Vouched" on: March 24, 2019, 10:09:34 PM
You know they are scammers when they get the same vouches from the same fake vouchers every day. (I'd be very SKEPTICAL with that ONE and they definitely are not being  PRINCES selling EGIFTS and they certainly had their LOVE HACKED because they are thieves.)

I see what you did there ,  Roll Eyes
6706  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My "mini" mining farms , set up + wiring on: March 24, 2019, 09:09:33 PM
Very very solid setup my friend. How do you make same if you are stupid in electricity ?

you need to have basic knowledge about electricity, there is no control z in electricity, one mistake can cause you your life or put something on fire. unless you have basic knowledge about wiring you should hire someone, you can use my set up as a guide to show to the electrician, but by all means do not attempt this yourself.

6709  Other / Meta / Re: THEY SAY HE'S TROLLIN THEY HATIN ..................This is a serious matter !!!! on: March 24, 2019, 10:42:22 AM
Cryptohunter , sometimes people get attached to something more than they should, i think you give the forum much more importance than 100 members combined , you are so consistent it makes me a bit worried about you, you are a good person i can sense this, i am sure many others think the same, some don't , but i am sure we all agree that you have been on replay for a few months now and it is getting boring and predictable , i always know what you going to say next.

I suggest you take a break, clear your mind, after all this is an imaginary fake world we use to run away from our miserable real lives.. do your self a favour, have a break,
let them miss you, i am willing to bet that you will be missed regardless of what they say to you.
6710  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Trust System: broken or not? on: March 24, 2019, 10:31:07 AM
The trust system is not perfect  , but what is broken is you getting a positive feedback for "Great trade!" And a few positives for renting a few DT's signature spaces, when there are other members who have traded hundreds of thousands of   dollars on forum but have not had a planed/random deal with a DT member.

The trust system is far from perfect, but i worry more about meanginless and misleading  positive feedback , i mentioned this before, you do not deserve a positive score, if you do , then what do others who repay their loans on time should get? There has to be something that differincnates you from more truthwothy members, maybe the current score is a bit too much, but it is much more reasonable than being  positive.
6711  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Update firmware miner M3x remotly on: March 24, 2019, 08:19:56 AM
I do not think awesome miner or any other software will give you access remotely through the internet unless the OS is installed on the machine you trying to access like simplemining os and the like.

I have not done this myself but the logic states that if you configure your router to forward port x to your miner, you should be able to access it both via ssh and browser, the problem is , you need to know the public IP address to your miners, so without a static public IP and/or a windows/linux PC that sits on the same LAN things will be a lot more complicated.
6712  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: power consumption on: March 24, 2019, 08:11:02 AM
You know you could pretty much cut the end of the power cable and replace it with whatever end you want, i take U.S standard cables replace the end with an EU standards where i simply ignore the earthing wire.

One might argue that jointing cables like that is not good (ok maybe) but it worked for me for years, so specially if you just wanna use it to measure power consumption for a day or two, there should be no problem.
6713  Other / Meta / Re: whats definition of off topic to mods ? or they are just enjoying deleting on: March 22, 2019, 03:59:47 PM
Would you prefer it if they ignored all reports?

I think you have misunderstood my statement , what i meant is that some mods could very likely count on the "number of reports" if a post gets reported by say 10 members then it will very likely be deleted regardless of any other concedrations.

6715  Other / Meta / Re: [Spam Accusation]The Prince Of Egifts [Bump Spam] on: March 22, 2019, 03:19:12 AM
There is not a loophole that allows someone to post bumps with sockpuppets on their thread. If this was allowed, you would create an account called "mikeywith-bumper" to post a new bump every second to ensure your thread is always at the top of the board.

you don't seem to want to understand, and that's a problem to begin with , you are ALLOWED to bump topics using sockpuppets, there is no rule that states the opposite.

you can create 10 sockpuppets, and speak to yourself on your topic and keep it on the top of the list without breaking forum rules. ( as long as you don't make 2 posts in a row from the same account)

edit:

noting using a sockpuppet to post counts as a bump.

let alone the fact that "sockpuppets" accusation remains a theory, while everyone and their grandmother knows it's true, there is no clear-cut evidence that he is using sockpuppets to bump the thread, technically those are happy "clients" vouching for a legit service  Grin

i can't find a simpler way of explaining this to you, but if you insist on wasting your time, be my guest Roll Eyes

6716  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Do I need to automatically shut down the miner using a temperature thermostat ? on: March 22, 2019, 02:22:39 AM
so does it stay in that cooling mode until you restart the miner manually or after cooling down it'll restart automatically ?!

I have not had a miner reaching to the safety-lock state, but the logic states that you will most likely have to manually restart it , by manually i do not mean physically.

... or unless you're talking about happening at another time when things go out of control again and miner reaches to the boiling point.

yup i mean it will happen another time, when you have manually restarted the miner.

I was thinking of lowering the static fan and setting the air conditioner to its maximum level because I thought that if I set the fan speed on its highest level(or 90%), then the outtake fan would suck out the cool air inside faster (since I'm using duct to send out the hot air) and it would get warmer inside.

airflow is much more important that just cold static air, it get's pretty hot where I live, easily over 40c in the summer, I do not have solid scientific based explanations, but I know from personal experience that the higher the RPMs the cooler the gears run, regardless of the AC condition.

On the other side miners need enough air as well and I need to have the windows half-open which might defeat this option too.

you need to force air inside, an intake fan is a must , note that your AC does not bring in any air from outside, so with those high RPMs you would need to have some intake fan/s.

What would be your best choice with 2-3 miners ?

i wouldn't worry about a small qty like that, as long as you directing the hot air to the outside, you are good to go.

you can have a look at my set up here > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5087770.0

forget the first small farm, look at the second one, ignore the hot room since you don't have to deal with it because you are using  ducts to send the hot air out,  so for your case i would say 1 small intake fan + 12k btu AC will keep those gears under 80 degrees.

and by the way, you can use awesomeminer , it has been super handy, it sends you emails if your miner reaches to x temp , you can also automate it to reduce freq, restart or do anything at any time, with the right set of rules it's as good as having an employee looking after your gears 24/7.
6717  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [scam? Need DT opinion] BetKing.io broke ICO promise and dropped token value 99% on: March 22, 2019, 01:02:03 AM
The accounts involved have red tags already, but not yet from me. I want opinions first, and if any DT decides to tag them based on this topic, I'll tag them too.

I have tagged the 4 accounts related to this ICO, with all these information provided, it's only fair that they are tagged, i will personally be open to whatever BetKing team has to say on this.
