Coronavirus: Italian government to allow Serie A clubs to start team training from MayGreat news, team training will be resumed by May 18, in case of a positive case, all contacts will be quarantined for 2 weeks which is very risky for teams of Serie A (not like Germany where only positive cases will be quarantined) Plus this... ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif) Since the return to training last week, Fiorentina and Sampdoria announced 10 positive tests. In addition, a Torino player tested positive

Ideas for events, contests and whatnot are appreciated!
Maybe a quiz related to bitcoin / bitcointalk.org or a prize for the closest prediction of the price when the halving occurs could be entertaining?

A third Brighton player is found positive and he is isolated right now... Meanwhile some teams aren't very satisfied with resuming too quickly and about the choice of stadium (source)Waiting for tomorrow meeting news..

1) Who determines its value? Markets? What kind of markets? Big companies like blockchain.com ?
Take a look here, it may help you get a clearer idea https://tradeblock.com/markets/bfnx/xbt-usd/30m/For example, I remember some (local) exchanges had a Bitcoin price very different from the average showed in most of the others, it is due mainly to people from countries with shitty economy buying bitcoin >>> selling it, it was like +$3k difference?

I was happy seeing this gain on 7 of May 2020 only to wake up this morning to see another heavy lose of above 12% within 24 hours. It seems some one or one of the big whales plays smartness on others.
Bitcoin price is $8,745 right now. It is expected and big whales move in the same direction, they bought bitcoin to drove the price up and whenever it is high enough they will sell and collect precious gains then the cycle will start again after a while. Actually normal traders and noobie enthousiaste are those who lose their money not big whales.

Don't feel offended from this meta guy but please make a search in the forum before opening a topic. This suggestion was discussed so many times here...

Hi everyone, I am a new user so I don't know much about here. But one thing I noticed here is there's no option to delete our own accounts (sorry if there is). I feel like there should be an option for us to do the same... -snip-
AFAIK this option was available back in the past, auto? on-demand? not sure. I have a shitty memory but you can search it, i think it was discussed here in Meta too few years ago? Edit: i think this is it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=67541.msg789906#msg789906

There is a scheme for premier league of this season, From talksport.com news, all premier league clubs will be cutting the time whistle to 75 minutes and will be counted as full season in the end. SourceBetter to play 30 minutes x 2 ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Personally I don't see what's the point of doing so? Infection risk will occur whether you played 5 minutes or 90 minutes. The only thing that i think could be beneficial is the time of recuperation between games will be less in case of 60 or 75 minutes game / 2 games per week!

Bitcoin price in almost all exchanges are +$10k right now but it is still lagging between $9990-$10,010. It is great to see 5 digits again and especially before the halving ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

$9803-$9832 in most exchanges right now which is the highest price for a quite long period. Breaking $10k barrier will likely happen in few hours but the most important thing is sustainability! Price has to stay above $10k and not crash once traders decide it is time to celebrate and sell!! Halving is close and things seems promising ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

2 weeks ago we seen many spamming corona virus thread everywhere. But now we have many spam thread about Bitcoin halving Most of them only give their own speculative, like "I think after 3rd halving bitcoin price will reach $50k, how about you?" or giving low value analysis. Do we need to allowing more thread like this?
Same context but other problem which was better to be discussed elsewhere. However it is a habit in bitcointalk to have many topics discussing the same issue in the same sub or in different sections. Halving, coronavirus, sudden price rise or drop, important events related to bitcoin... Members will discuss it, its relation to bitcoin, altcoins, adoption and price... Once you get used with it for years, it turns to be "normal", mods rarely interfere with it and they will be blamed if any action is done.

Ouch! This hurts Luckily this will not have a big impact on resuming Serie A, but if it appears that other players are/will be infected especially after resuming collective training or games then this could be the end of this season...

Even if I agree that it wasn't really necessary to clean up an old topic, these multiple posts have probably been reported. Who is to blame ? The mod or the person who reported them ? If the mod hadn't done anything, we would have seen messages saying: "it's a scandal, my reports have not been handled or marked as bad !!!" And from what I can see in the topic you linked, the multiple posts of several members have been merged into a single post. So, is it really a big deal ?
Personally I don't see what's the point of reporting old posts in inactive topics (+1 year of inactivity). I prefer to mark these reports as good and do not do any action towards the posts in Quickseller example. I recall some of the reports were handled like this. (Well this shouldn't apply to every report of course).

Actually what I notice is the probability to be merited increase with how famous you are in the first place then how substantial your post is. For example if theymos makes a post about a new forum feature, he may receive for it a total of +50 merit, while if any other staff member announced it, he may receive less than 30. Same applies for other members. No?
Congratulations, you have just discovered the "Matthew effect". But just like almost other people, you also commited it. My post was just 2 posts below libert19's post, mentioning the effect. You missed it because I'm just Jr. member ranked, right? No it is because either i am blind or i like simple post. Most of my merit were spent here, targeting low ranks mainly... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2957836.0, so...

I wonder same at times, it's much like real world economy where rich gets richer and poor stays poorer.
Best and accurate sentence so far. +1, which left me with a solo merit to keep the +merit box open! I will not say that 100% of merit sources or other members are doing this but since the merit system was implemented there was so many trafficking starting from the guys sending +50 merit to their alts, friends between them for stupid comments... Actually what I notice is the probability to be merited increase with how famous you are in the first place then how substantial your post is. For example if theymos makes a post about a new forum feature, he may receive for it a total of +50 merit, while if any other staff member announced it, he may receive less than 30. In a thick Russian accent: THAT'S BULLSHIT because I didn't tell nobody who I am ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) This Satoshi Nakamoto delirium wouldn't stop tho and no cure is effective to control its spread...

Make a big thread containing what you think is useful in beginners & help or meta and your topic could be placed in one of it tho.

So ok... What would happen if one of these players catch the bug while in training or during a match? Shut the league down again?
I mean... It could happen.
It depends of the scale of the infection tho. If a player was infected outside of the stadium, most likely he will be excluded for 2-3 weeks or more. At the opposite if a horizontal transmission is spotted between players of the same team which can affect that team performance, or between +2 teams then this could definitely be a reason to hold everything again and of course cancel the Liga... No matter how that player got infected as long as it happened on a league game the whole league will be suspended again. Just take a look at how the NBA suspended their league due to one of their players not feeling way and that time there was no confirmations yet if Gobert was positive of the virus. The same thing will happen in the league since symptoms doesn't show up just instantly you may never know if that player had catch it during his last game or two so everybody here is literally affected. Even if they had increased their medical security and everything I think this will be their procedure once a player got tested positive during the resumption of the season. Let's hope that players will respect instructions in this case and don't gang celebrate after a victory in crucial game ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) Now imagine a crazy player or staff in a team near the relegation zone and afraid to see his team downgrade trying to be infected ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)
