6741  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: February 24, 2016, 07:37:52 AM
There will always be a need for some kind of fiat. So no, it won't happen.

Maybe there will be no fiat in the future. All the fiat will be in digital form. The Chinese government is going to issue a digital currency.

I havent tried to imagine it on how it will be if it is all digital in one country. Now I got something to think of. And later I will have coffee and try to imagine how it will be. And what will be the risks.

I don't think that its ever gonna happen, that dollar will simply disappear in future and any crypto replacing it is simply not possible, dollar will never die, as it is considered as a most powerful currency.

Agree. Or if dollar dies. People will just create another thing that they can touch for trading. A paper or a gemstone, golds, silvers, diamonds. There are many things that is possible but not online money. It will really be hard for other people.
6742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: February 24, 2016, 07:34:35 AM
Let's just hope that it will get too 500$ soon.

BTC hasn't been in that range since about August 2014. There's no real incentive for it to climb all the way up to $500.

Why would  you say that. There are a lot of people hoping including me. Give me some facts for that and I will believe you.  Dont make people motivations down. I still believe it will hit that and maybe more.
6743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: February 24, 2016, 07:31:39 AM
I think the biggest problem is management of time. because I have another activities, I can't focus on collecting bitcoin

It is good if you are also profiting from it. And it is not a problem with bitcoin. It is your problem, ,managing your time depends and you. Well you can always choose what will the best for you.
6744  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: February 24, 2016, 07:29:47 AM
Just thinking about this makes me lonely. I wouldn't do it. I still want some friends in an office and want to feel the excitement of going in a day job with people around. If you will be full time on bitcoin then it could be in  a cafe or just in your house (posting, typing and jobs that will stress you) without anyone to talk to.
6745  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the number of available bitcoins decreasing? on: February 24, 2016, 07:27:22 AM
The number of freshly created Bitcoins will decrease because of the block halving. In Juli this year the second block halving will kick in and lower the block rewards to 12.5 BTC. Can you explain what exactly you mean with Bitcoins being "lost"?

People send (voluntarily or by mistake) coins to addresses nobody controls. (https://blockchain.info/address/1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE)
Or have stored their coins in an address which the private key has been lost.

This are the ones that are lost. Computers that mined long ago where they get a lot of bitcoins in a low price. like 10,000 bitcoins for just how many dollars. Those computers that cannot be opened now have some bitcoins in there which are the lost ones. It is like a locked treasure box with golds from a sunken ship. It needs to be opened again with a key to go back to the circulation.
6746  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: February 24, 2016, 07:16:35 AM
Reading this thread makes me think Bitcoin is a joke that has no future.  Does anyone left think bitcoin was created and is destined for something other than increasing fiat?
ctually I was also sad to see it, almost everyone using bitcoin only to make a profit when prices rise

Is that really a good thing or a bad thing? Bitcoin is tend to be used right? We are human and that is a thing. Then what else would it be its purpose. I think it will depend on the situation of every person that is working to get 1 or 2 bitcoin.
6747  Economy / Economics / Re: Is America a failed nation? on: February 24, 2016, 07:13:36 AM
I don't think america as a failed nation. If it is a failed nation, why most people talk about various incidents talking place in america.
Why they all compare their countries growth along with america in terms of economy, education as well technology.

Agree  with this one regarding the comparing method. Almost every country wants to have something that America does. Although now, others are now comparing themselves to other country like China or North Korea. For defense and military tactics.

6749  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: February 23, 2016, 02:06:15 PM
I first heard of bitcoin on facebook. then there is a search group dollar always post about how to get dollars, and at that moment I saw a post about bitcoin. I was curious and finally learn about bitcoin  Cheesy

Good to know. There are a few who can be really so open with just seeing a post in some social media or other in the internet. You can see it is almost all friends that told them how to start. And in your side I think it is harder because you did learn on your own.
6750  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term OIL on: February 23, 2016, 02:04:45 PM
I guess when that war stops and United States controls it again then oil will rise again. But technology is becoming better and better. There are many ways to do anything without the use of oil. If it takes long then oil might go down in the long run.

Technology is not that much advanced. The alternatives for gasoline are very expensive, and many of those options can't be implemented on a bigger scale. For example, a normal gasoline run car costs at the most $10,000, while the Tesla electric car can cost anywhere from $50,000 to $100,000. A large part of the world population doesn't have the economic power to afford gasoline alternatives.

Well said in terms of affordability itself alternative has got backlog, when we consider the pollution electric cars are much more than gasoline cars. While running the pollution is less, During the manufacture of high power batteries the pollution caused is very high than the pollution caused by normal gasoline cars

But options will be the one who will take down oil. If more options will be presented in the future the long term investment in oil will go down too. High quality stone would be much better. Well everything in this world is getting depleted.
6751  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: February 23, 2016, 08:15:58 AM
Sell your bitcoins. If it go down then I will be buying..  Grin Demands will make it rise and more will try to buy once it go down. Seeing it up again will sparkle the eyes of the good buyers.
6752  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: February 23, 2016, 08:12:06 AM
I read a lot who comment here are from friends. Hmmm so in my opinion bitcoin really needs to be explained thoroughly or that human wouldnt understand anything.

From a friend would be the best because if it is a stranger a human will think that it is a waste of time. A good compilation on how to earn would really be great for faster and easier way of teaching on how to do it in a proper way without risking too much.

6753  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: February 23, 2016, 08:07:45 AM
Best would be have some for your retiring and let some move for more and for your future grandsons and daughters and you will have some spare in case something happened. Dont let go until the end and give the passwords to those who appreciates and will continue your legacy.  Grin
6754  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin always be dependent on fiat? Is it? on: February 23, 2016, 08:05:09 AM
If more and more businesses will adopt bitcoin as a payment method than fiat could slowly lose its power.
if many merchants adopt bitcoin, of course they will all accept bitcoin, as payment
and we do not need to convert it to fiat

Correct but that will be far away from now. Risk will be taken when coming up with a plan on putting bitcoin as a currency for paying different kind of things. Plus bitcoin movement is really like a wave. It moves to much day by day.
6755  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: February 23, 2016, 08:03:30 AM
I think i am not yet ready to see bitcoint as a government currency because this is tax free and we already know what happnes to a tax free business.

True, every tax free thing was took down by the government. One sample is the news about the electronic cigarette. Due to the fact that there is no tax there plus the challenge is fighting the big tobacco companies. There are the one who will bring the e-cig down with the help of the media and the government. They would love to kill the people with tobaccos rather than use an alternative for health issues. The government takes a really high price from sin tax that is why they will help this companies.
6756  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: February 23, 2016, 08:00:02 AM
I think it's possible and will happen when something radically new will be released. Some technology that is much better and faster than Bitcoin.

That will be hard to happen. A genius must be born for this to happen. There are few who can think of a way for creating this kind of currency plus it must a big blast to popularity.
6757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: February 23, 2016, 07:58:40 AM
Recently my friend suggested, writing a bitcoin related blog, and monetize it with bitcoin advertisement networks is also a good way of growing bitcoin. I guess lots of blogs earning thousands of dollars like this. Planning to execute this method soon.

Good idea. Thank you for posting it here and not being selfish. I might take this to consideration and see if there will be good profits. Even low earnings will do. If it will be daily or weekly it would be better.

this will probably take a very long time to get started. you'll have to slowly gain readers before u see actually money. if you're interested in writing, you can try sites that pay you for articles but they're in usd as far as I know.

Yeah that is one of the necessities that is needed. More readers and mostly viewed from time to time. Well we have good advertising here. So a service can be created for views and comment in exchange for bitcoins.

Sure but if it is the future we are talking there are many possibilities that something might come up for alternative power. We dont know what can happen in those years that have been told.
6759  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: February 23, 2016, 06:35:09 AM
when compared with the gold I would choose gold. Gold has a strong market share and gold is one of the jewels of value in this world. gold is so valuable for the long term.

Correct. Due to its physical appearance Gold is the best for all. We tend to want to feel what is ours. Worldly things is what helps us see that it is our own. Bitcoin may not be physically touch but due to its good price it is still a good investment and is easier to earn.
6760  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: February 23, 2016, 06:28:22 AM
Price can be seen as how it can be used. While value is how important it is to the community. Well if value of it wont change from those who support it here then it will also have a good price in the future.
