Leroy Sane could join Bayern Munich during the summer. Pep Guardiola said that they have offered the player a contract extension at City but he has not made up his mind yet. He could become a new record signing of Bayern.

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/guardiola-ldquo-if-sane-wants-to-leave-he-can-do-rdquo-potential-record-signing-for-bayern/view/news/341549
I think he is just stalling so that Manchester City can offer a better contract extension deal... Otherwise, i don't see why would he leave Manchester City at this point especially after last season's successful run.

He's still very young and could be more worried about he's playing time which reduced drastically during the last season. He also had issues with Guardiola on a number of occasions over the season, all these put together. You'd expect him to have second thoughts.
6762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 27, 2019, 03:35:43 AM
Maybe in Bayern munich as a right winger since Robben and James Rodriguez have departed now.
I don't think he would thrive in Man United... Just my feeling  Cheesy

As for PSG, i don't think they are ready to spend lots of money again any time soon

He can go to ManU if they can have Pogba (they will add money for the transfer) otherwise I can't see why they will sell him to them.

Same for PSG the only way to them to have him is to sell Neymar.

I'd also agree that the likelihood of Dybala being sold would be solely based on whether or not Juventus are going to have Pogba ir Neymar.

I'm not sure Dybala has a future under Sarri, Bayern munich would be a better destination for him, he shouldn't have any problem slotting in to the team.
6763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Champions Cup 2019 - Discussion thread on: July 27, 2019, 03:27:53 AM
It's a Madrid derby at the ICC 2019, Atletico Madrid have started brilliantly with 2 goals under the first 9 minutes, A goal from Diego Costa and Atletico's new signing Joao Felix scoring on his debut.

IIRC Joao Felix is targeted by MU, isn't it? Or is that just another media bullshit story?
Anyway, good for him scoring a goal.

Just to reiterate what you said, that's bullshit. I also read about him considering of playing in PL in the future, It just can't be now.

Back to the Madrid derby, It was a really interesting match from the very start to the end of match, 10 goals and 2 red cards. Atletico Madrid won 7 - 3.

Stat Pack: Real Madrid have conceded 12 goals in their last 3 matches 😳

Can I ask why to Real Madrid and not to Juventus?
I feel like we've been the ones who have shown more interest in Pogba over the past few months, even Zidane said to Florentino Perez (this is according to reports from the spain press with close ties to RM) that his main target after Hazard was Pogba.

There's a little problem for us and that is Pogba's price tag, which is a really high (150M-200M), but considering that both Man Utd and RM have always had a good relationship (Beckham, Ronaldo, van Nistelroy, etc), I wouldn't discard a possible agreement before the transfer window closes.

Juventus (for now) is stacked in the midfield: Pjanic, Rabiot, Can, Khedira, Bentancur, Ramsey, Matuidi...Do they really need another midfielder?

Talking about Juventus...Moise Kean to Everton? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/jul/25/everton-moise-kean-juventus-ademola-lookman-rb-leipzig

Maybe Juventus doesn't need Pogba, considering they have numerous midfielders already but you know that both Khedira and Matuidi are 32 years, Pogba is 26 and could be leader in the midfield.

I'd rather Moise Kean look for another club, I'm not sure he'll get a better chance than Lookman haf gotten, If he's leaving Juventus in search of more playing time, then in my opinion, Though he'd get better playing time than what one might he expect Juventus to provide for him but still I feel Everton is not the way to go.

Can I ask why to Real Madrid and not to Juventus?

I will post my point of view after I read Real reasons.

https://www.instagram.com/paulpogba/
Not sure Juventus can afford to bring him back. Juve must now concentrate on selling a few players. Matuidi and Khedira from the midfield, Mandzukic and Higuain in attack. It wont be easy. So far it is being reported that there are no offers for the two strikers. Roma was interested in Higuain but he doesn't seem interested in a move within the Serie A.

To be bring in Pogba and stay within the Financial Fair Play rule, won't Real Madrid need to sell some players ? And What's left of the said 300M budget handed to Zidane won't be enough either.

Juventus as well might share a similar fate, but could have better chances at selling a few players.

I usually tell my friends that modern football is run by money, this days all top teams spend so much money on players, even 'traditional" clubs like Manchester United and Barcelona, who hardly spend so much on players previously, have joined the trend, the football market has been heightened, so to stay as a top club, you must spend crazily, thus making it so difficult for the smaller teams to compete.

Occasionally, pure brilliance and talents do pay off too. That was the case with Ajax in 2018/19 Season, they were one of least valuable team but did pull off great wins against several money giants in the UCL.

Money is a huge factor for success in football these days, but if only spent the right way.
6768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 25, 2019, 08:19:53 PM
If the deal went side ways, and he went back to Atletico, he would definitely remain there. i doubt any team had much interest in him a part from Barcelona. This would be so bad for him as the fans won't have his back for "betraying the club"  Grin

Not sure about it, for 120M € maybe can be a good investment for some team, I can see ManUnited or other English teams.

If eventually, Barcelona are found guilty and have not option but to pull out of the deal, Griezmann will definitely be looking for an escape route, and Man Utd indeed could make a move for him.

Does anyone have a more recent update on Man Utd move for Milinkovic-Savic ?
6769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 25, 2019, 05:23:23 PM
Hah looks like coinlocket$ is right...  Griezmann's move to Barca could be blocked by La Liga.  The Spanish league's president is said to be looking at the situation.  Cheesy  Wow...

And that Dybala to the Spurs news.  YES PLEASE!

If this will happen, Griezmann would possibly be left without any team, right?
This would be disastrous for his career. I am odd to see what would be the punishment for this illegal transfer.

He will go back to Atletico.

If any other team want him the new price will be 120m € till then end of his old contract.

If Barca wants him since they did the deal illegally when the clause was 200m € they need to pay 80 more millions.

I doubt there will be any illegal findings in the deal, It is never out of place for a club to contact a player or his agent for inquiry while still under a contract with another club right ? That was all Barca did according to everything I read about the transfer.

Atleti claiming Barcelona had finalized the deal with Griezmann before his release officially reduced to €120M is just making a mountain out of a molehill.
6770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's your favorite to win this year's Champions League ? on: July 25, 2019, 05:17:58 PM
By watching the current transfer window, I think that Juventus is the favorite of winning the title.
Also, it may be the chance of Manchester City to compete the title as Barca and Real, seem to my eyes, unable to win it this season.

I'd also give Man City and Juventus a edge over other teams in the competition, I'm of the opinion that both Real Madrid and Barcelona will fail to live up to expectations yet again this season.

Man City team hasn't made any significant changes to their squad in the transfer window, and for this reason I'll expect them to have a better team chemistry compared to Juventus.

I'll definitely be keeping a tab on this thread, I'm from Nigeria and would be hoping the team goes far in the tournament.

However, I doubt any other country will be able to stun Team USA, I also read about the possibility of Damain Lillard as captain for the team.
6772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 24, 2019, 01:39:02 PM
There is no hazard, Chelsea remains Chelsea. They are a team not just about hazard. By beating Barcelona, of course this is the beginning of a good belief for Lampard to always be consistent in every pre-season or other match.

If a team can't survive when they lost 1 player then they'll get a lot of problems. Liverpool, for example, failed to reproduce their achievement when Suarez or Torres left, but it seems they've learned to deal with it when Coutinho leaves.

I do think losing Hazard is regrettable for Chelsea but that's how football works. Either you deal with it or you will fail to win anything.

Losing Hazard is imminent and would have happened someday one or the other, my only pity for Chelsea was that they didn't get the opportunity to replace him due to their transfer ban, but they'd have to live with it.

Lampard has started off on the right foot, but pre-seasons matches are never an indication of what the season holds.
6773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: July 24, 2019, 12:41:22 AM
Oh, I had few of my posts on the wrong thread, I suppose we were having a combined thread for Champions League and Europa League qualification phase.

Too bad for Basel that they couldn't hold on to their lead with just a very few minutes to go, but 2 away goals could still be something to cheer about, although a win or draw would have been more advantageous to them.
6774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Champions Cup 2019 - Discussion thread on: July 24, 2019, 12:16:43 AM
You're probably just too naive and optimistic, I wouldn't place such an high expectation on Lampard, most especially not during his maiden season in premier league.

Well for the record Lampard has won more trophy than Mauricio Pochettino, Unai Emery and Ole Gunnar Solskjær as a manager for their respective (current) clubs and guess what, he has just been a manager for only four games also the season hasn't even started. Never underestimate Lampard, he's Lampard for a reason Grin. Chelsea defeat Barcelona 2 goals to 1 to end their tour of Japan with a trophy.
You can't be serious right now, Yeah ?

Real Madrid has continued as an utterly mess from where stopped against Bayern Munich.

Trailing by 2 goals against Arsenal at Halftime, both teams are playing with 10 Men, Buwaytress was probably right with his bet on Arsenal to win the ICC trophy.

Another occurrence of worthy note is Gareth Bale's introduction to game for the 2nd half (Could he be staying ?)

I have never heard of the Player before now, £40m from Newcastle seem quite a fee, IMO.
Well, Real Betis just signed Nabil Fekir, a player that was linked to several top clubs, for €25M, so yeah £40M for Joelinton does sound like a lot. After seeing that fee you'd think that the guy at least finished among the top 5 top scorers of the Bundesliga last season, but nope, not even in the top10.

Nabil Fekir for £25M is an absolute steal, a player Liverpool was heavily linked with for about 2 seasons, He's transfer was supposed to around £60 - £80M then, How come dropped total interest in him, maybe his injury struggles. This is probably the most quiet transfer for a top player in this window.

Just like I predicted PSV vs Basel has been an interesting game so far, Basel are 1 - 2 up with few minutes to go. They'll get a good advantage If they can secure the win here away from home.

I already lost my bet on The New Saints as they are currently 2 goals down to Copenhagen, 7 minutes to go in the match as well.
6777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2019, 05:29:46 PM
Newcastle have signed Joelinton for a club-record £40m from Hoffenheim on a six-year deal.
Joelinton's arrival at St James' Park sees Newcastle break their transfer record for the second time in seven months, with the fee for the 22-year-old striker surpassing the £21m the club paid for Miguel Almiron in January.

Such a swing in odds. Ararat Armenia were 20/1 to win their last game in CL (now dropped to Europa), and today after progressing their opponents are 15/1. Is there really a huge difference between Lincoln Red Imps and AIK besides one plays in Champs League and the other in Europa? 2-0 at 55 mins seems to say, yep!

Any of you actually got a team you like at this stage?

I don't have a favorite team in the stage. However, there are a couple of fixtures I'm looking forward to in this round; today's being  PSV vs Basel It's quite an even match up, and I don't know which team to bet on.

I also have made a risky bet.
I took The New Saints to win against Copenhagen @ 13.5 odds
6779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2019, 05:08:44 PM
Gareth Bale is a transfer target of Beijing according to some reports. Clubs from China are well known for offering big wages so I dont think there would be any problems in the money department. But I still feel he has more to offer in Europe and accepting a move to China would be too soon in his career.

If he goes to China then expect Real to go after Pogba (YES!!!).  But if I was Bale, I'd give Zidane a huge headache by not leaving and keep the bench warm from three years while receiving top wages.  Grin  Zidane's been disrespecting him imo.

That's not an option for a top class player like Bale.
Their goal is to find a team that would allow him to play and be a member of the first team and not just being on the bench and get paid. Just not that football players are not getting only wages but they have a significant income from sponsorships. And if you are not playing regularly you don't get any sponsorship.

I doubt Bale actually cares much about his playing time for now, If he does then he'd want out of Real Madrid too ASAP, but that's not the case with him, he's literally calm about the whole saga.

He's Agent just said in an Interview that "Bale will not leave on loan, and would only be on the move if a suitable offer presents itself".

Still looking for this bet. I accidentally put £20 on Liverpool to win pretty much all competitions yesterday. Was just seeing how much the max bet was and actually submitted it:

PMSL. Was pretty pissed off but I guess I know who I'll be rooting for for everything this season. Probably more so than a Liverpool fan haha. I don't think anyone has ever won all four comps before have they?

I don't want to imagine your chances of winning your bet with Liverpool having Man City as a potential competitor on each of the four tournaments and of course no team in England has ever won all four competition in the same year. IIRC Man City were said to be the first team to win all England three major tournaments.
