I watched the video yesterday. Yes, it is a very nice presentation. It's good that he avoids the exaggerated sales hype of most bitcoin enthusiasts. However it seems he has been listening from one ear only, as he barely mentions some of the problems, or omits them altogether. Like the impossibility of correcting mistakes or thefts. <snip> It has probably already been discussed, but is theft really bad? I mean, most of the times it's immoral, but evolution doesn't have anything to do with morality. In a certain way you can see it as survival of the fittest. If hackers are smart enough to steal bitcoin it sucks if it happens to you, but bitcoin also gives the opportunity to store them extremely safe, unable to hack. If a hacker was able to crack the complete bitcoin code, he should be awarded because honest money should be more or less indestructible. who gives a shit, put the hackers in jail. |

The end of the year? I think after $850 is cleared it won't take long at all for a new ATH.
I actually agree with that... if we get to $850 then we'll have a hell of a ride. But, do you really see getting past $600, in a bullish interim scenario, being a quick endeavor? I think we'd have to piddle around there for a couple months, man. I don't think people are quite as eager to throw caution to the wind as they were in the first run up... the market is more mature now and nobody wants to be the guy who bought BTC at the absolute ATH price. its not like its 2020 i say buy, buy likes there no tomorrow, as soon as the profit taking retards are done, 500 buy 690 Buy 850 BUY!!! but thats me. Just a question, no troll. But what makes you think they will ever be done? good question. i don't, i just believe. |

If it starts moving, it really starts moving. I don't know when this will be but I guarantee you people will indeed be as eager to throw caution to the wind as ever. Under this scenario, I'd imagine we stay in the 6-handles until about January, pop up to the 7's February... 8's by March... dip down to the 6's in April when people pay taxes and are irritated by it being a pain in the a--... then a launch thereafter when they realize that wasn't the end of the world and as OpenBazaar grows... from there $1500 to $2000 quickly... whether we'd ever be able to move beyond that is questionable. An exchange will collapse when somebody gets greedy around that sort of ATH. That would be my most bullish scenario. I just don't see it happening, though. Tech stocks will collapse this fall or next and the VCs won't have the same risk appetite as before. Maybe they jump for digital gold instead of regular gold, but during a financial crisis it isn't exactly the time to get cute. I just don't see it. I don't have nearly as much in the pot as most of you so, frankly, even though it's against my position, I hope I am wrong. I rather see you crazy kids make a quick buck... life should be that way. It'd make me smile. see i didn't get the mome, I never get the fucking memo. i'm buying bitcoin because I dont want to care about the stupid memo. |

Probably because it wasn't really malfunctioning? that was some sick volume, i'm surprised there was that many coins even available on btc-e. Well, "they" were probably buying and selling their own coins. Could be done with 1 BTC. Does anyone know how many trades were executed? Then we can calculate the fee which was paid. I understand "they" buy and sell like mad, ( maybe someone taking adv. of a bot willing to buy buy buy like crazy) but i have my doubts it was done with 1BTC, pretty sure a significant amount of coins changed hands there. |
