If there is no final solution:
Can BTC blockchain become one day (in decades) unbearable? meaning that even large infrastructure wouldn't be enough to store and process the BTC blockchain?
In theory, yes. I'm practice, probably not, as technology will become more powerful and be able support a larger blockchain. There will also be other solutions that people will think of to mitigate that problem.

What do I need to do to retrieve the 1.5001 BTC to my wallet? Open Armory wallet-> Go to the help menu-> Click "Clear all Unconfirmed" and you(it)'ll be fine. Once you do that, you can resend the bitcoin just add you normally would. BitcoinArmory.com is no longer armory's website because development has changed hands. If you want help, either post in the armory board or on the github issues page: https://github.com/goatpig/BitcoinArmory/issues

I think there should be a semi-strong emphasis on the legitimate uses of cryptocurrencies and portraying it in a more positive light rather than the standard "bitcoin is evil and used for crime". From the trailer, it seems like there is a strong focus on the criminal aspect of Bitcoin, rather than the positive.

MAJOR UPDATE. SERVER WILL BE GOING DOWN IN A FEW MINUTES. ALL PREVIOUS TOKENS WILL BE REMOVED.Major Changes- Persistent Requests with ObjectDB. Requests will now persist after server reboots
- Fix major privacy leak
- Posts Sections breakdown ordered by post count
- Better multithreading
- Added Philippines Board
- Expiration time bumped to two weeks from one week
This updates allows for more frequent updates because the queue and all previous requests will continue to remain and be retrievable after updates. This update also fixes a major privacy leak which I recently noticed. If you inspected the network traffic through something like Google Chromes debugger, you would have been able to see the object which is passed between the browser and the server. That object had the ip address of the original requester and the user id of the request even if it were a merchant request. This would have allowed anyone to see what account was being sold and what the ip of the requester was. This bug has been fixed. I also have reason to believe that this may have been exploited by some members. In the future, if anyone finds any privacy leaking vulnerability or major security vulnerability, please let me know ASAP so that I can fix the bug.

A good place to start is all of the documentation on bitcoin.org. It explains in depth on how bitcoin works on a technical level. Also useful is the bitcoin wiki at bitcoin.it which also has various articles that also go in depth into the technical details. Through those two sites, you should be able to get a strong understanding on how bitcoin works. You should also read the bitcoin whitepaper by Satoshi available at https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf. Also good stuff to read are the BIPs (Bitcoin Improvement Proposals) which are available at https://github.com/bitcoin/bips. If you want to get involved in Bitcoin development, it would be a good idea to have a basic understanding of programming and c++. Then you can also look at the source code for Bitcoin Core (the reference implementation) and contribute there. With python, there are also several other wallets out there written in Python such as Electrum and Bitcoin Armory. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. However, I do ask that you google and search for your question before asking here as most questions have already been asked and answered.

Thanks for your information. I have found a decoder - http://lenschulwitz.com/base58Just entered the resulting hex format into bitaddress' wallet details and received the WIF key. Btw, that key starts with " L" instead of " 5". Does that mean they are still generating older versions of bitcoin wallets before encoding it to base58? No, it does not. WIF private keys can start with 5, K, or L. The K and L indicate that the key is compressed, the 5 means it is uncompressed.

Import address to any client that supports export in Base58 format. I know Armory can do this
As Danny started above, the base58 exported by blockchain.info IS NOT the standard base58 Wallet Import Format. No client will be able to import this key. If you want to install armory, DO NOT get it from that website. Armory's development has changed hands and that site I'd NJ longer armory's official site. The binaries there are out of date. Instead get armory from https://github.com/goatpig/BitcoinArmory/releases/tag/v0.94.1

I'm trying to access the beta but I keep getting a 502 error.
Edit: nvm, it fixed itself.

How did you completed the survey, none of the link above of bitcoinsinireland.com is opening to me!
The link is right under the sharing icons before the actual article. I search for it a while lol. It isn't there for the english version.

As for me, I would like to request a feature. Could it be possible that the posts in each board are ordered from the biggest post count to the lowest ?
Sure, I can put that in the next update.

Hello, I found it, First transcation: 33bc01edd01a6029303401946cf9f95d1e454a266f6913c3b7044b39e2a8cca7
Last transcation: 98cc4dcca8c25867e2d192f13a5793ed10e20b041f683f390ee50054f34a8d08
"19gC6fczWE19BhDEq3yfoYevv5t2Uy5EiM" is generate from your web site for deposit address.
The first transaction sends 0.02320000 to 19gC6fczWE19BhDEq3yfoYevv5t2Uy5EiM, so it looks like that deposited correctly. If you do not see this on your wallet, then contact service. BTW, coinbase is not "our" website. Bitcointalk.org is not affiliated with Coinbase. "1MgehthhBvifay9imznNaBvqio3w9XFGxR" is my address
This address is not a part of the two transactions above.

Hello,
(my wallet address) 1MgehthhBvifay9imznNaBvqio3w9XFGxR
Regards,
I cannot find any transaction to or from that address of the amounts you specified. It is likely that the transactions never made it to the network, so it should be fairly trivial to clear them and resend them. What are the transaction ids and what client are you using.
|
|
|
What wallet are you using?
Can you be more specific? Did you send bitcoin to 19gC6fczWE19BhDEq3yfoYevv5t2Uy5EiM or 1MgehthhBvifay9imznNaBvqio3w9XFGxR? Or are you expecting to receive Bitcoin from one of those addresses?

Sorry, but Win10 is way more of a "security risk" than a well maintained and firewalled XP system, but Win10 still gets support so go figure...
What about win7? Going to try 0.12.1 and see if it has the same crash syndrome, hopefully not.
0.12.1 will probably have the same problem because no solution was written and included in Bitcoin Core.

I do not know if anyone noticed, but price estimator does not recognize rank if member donator(probably vip also) example : legendary-donator (OgNasty, PsychoticBoy....) seen as a Hero member.
I'll take a look at that and fix it in the next update. I'm working on a different thing for it right now but I think an update should be out by the end of the week.

Why "seg wit" or "hard fork upgrading" are not a final solution for capacity issue? what is the solution then?
Because they still are hard limits. If bitcoin continues to grow, that increased capacity will still run out. Segwit and the hard fork are still just temporary solutions. There is no "final" solution.

This is a testing thread for an upcoming Bump Bot. Absolutely no one is allowed to post here except myself and my bot.

You could use Electrum which is a lightweight client. It has its own RPC stuff. Bitcoind can also be pruned so that the entire blockchain does not need to be stored.
