6761  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Another Sad Story of Losing $80K worth of Crypto Because of Fake App on: October 17, 2020, 10:22:29 PM
6762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges are guilty of preventing Bitcoin mass adoption on: October 17, 2020, 10:00:32 PM
Ever since bitcoin started to gain some 'notoriety', or at least from $.1-$1k, there have been reported of manipulation already from exchange, if they are guilty and this is the one preventing bitcoin from getting adopted, then by that time, we won't see a year-to-year dramatic rise of the price. But what happens? A lot of exchanges started to pump up and as a result bitcoin grow to even hit all time high at almost $20k in 2017? And still up to this point, it is growing massively, so I don't buy the argument that exchanges are one factors that prevents it from being mass adopted.
6763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight - October 17 on: October 17, 2020, 09:30:09 PM

@Baofeng, bookies just put the odds for the undercard for this fight, wanna do a parlay?

I reckon that Loma will win this fight  Smiley, all we need to do is find a way how to increase the odds and a parlay on the undercards might be that way and maybe we could get at least an odds of 2.

In our country, this fight would be air on free TV, how about in your country?

I already put up my bet two days ago,  Cheesy

But watch out for the Saucedo vs Barboza Jr fight, I smell an upset hehehe.

Doesn't matter what is the body language of Lopez or Loma, come fight night, it will be one hell of a fight, for sure there will be ass-whopping.
6764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atari Token: Public Sale of the Atari Token to begin October 29, 2020 on: October 16, 2020, 10:54:31 PM
It's just me getting excited about this news? @$0.25? This is quite cheap and I'm sure that during the opening of the public sale, those $1 million will be sold because of the name itself plus the branding is trying to get into crypto space specially if we are going to purchase items from them using their native token. I think this will be huge come Oct 29 for crypto video gamers out there.
6765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan Chase bank backs Square's $50m Bitcoin investment on: October 16, 2020, 10:25:28 PM
It means oil is done so the Norway will use bitcoin instead of oil to Back up their currency.

No oil is not done for Norway, the funds formal name is "Government Pension Fund Global. " And remember that this is not the first time they have ventured, they also have real state and equities and others. They've just added bitcoin to diversity their portfolio - for long term sustainablity. And the main source of everything is still oil for Norway and that is their main asset since the discovery in late 60's. And  from then on Norway because one of the richest nation out there.
6766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why FOMO isn't as bad as people make it seem. on: October 16, 2020, 10:03:35 PM
The simple rule is "buy at the bottom and sell at the top". But i don't think this applies to all coins, it only applies to solid coins like bitcoin, ethereum and the likes, because they have stood the test of time and would surely find their way back up. But most of these new coins, if you buy at the bottom, the price might still go lower and keep you trapped there. so it is better to wait and see a clear move up before you get on the train to avoid fake outs.

Who says it's bad? The problem though for those who FOMO is that they don't know when to exit and take the profit because FOMO won't last and the price won't go on parabolic rise. That's why many noobs got burn during the last 2017 to early 2018 because they think that the market will bounce when all signs are saying that we are going on a downhill. FOMO is good, but you have to have some semblance of control and always keep your emotions check.
6767  Other / Archival / [Boxing]: Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev - Dec 12 on: October 16, 2020, 09:16:35 PM
Joshua vs Pulev fight. It will be on Dec 12, O2 arena.

Quote
Unified Heavyweight Champion of the World Anthony Joshua OBE will defend his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO World Titles against Mandatory Challenger Kubrat Pulev at The O2 in London on Saturday December 12, live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and on DAZN in all of its nine markets including the U.S., on a show promoted by Matchroom Boxing in association with Top Rank and Epic Sports and Entertainment.

Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) recaptured his belts and position as the Unified Heavyweight World Champion with a masterful unanimous decision victory over Andy Ruiz Jr at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia on an historical night in December that saw the Heavyweight World Titles contested for the very first time in the Middle East.

https://www.boxingscene.com/anthony-joshua-vs-kubrat-pulev-set-december-12-o2--152508

This is interesting because of many scenarios,

(a) If Joshua wins then he can wait for the winner of Fury vs Wilder
(b) if Pulev win, then it can really derail the fight between Joshua and Fury, people might not be interested or will not live the hype specially if Fury destroys Wilder again and Joshua coming from a lost, the fight might not happen
(c) if Joshua wins and Fury lost, then probably the all British fight will not happen soon. It might be Joshua vs Wilder after all
(d) if Pulev win, then it will be another shake up in the heavyweight

Current odds: https://www.bestodds.ai/odds/sport-boxing/matchups/anthony-oluwafemi-olaseni-joshua-vs-kubrat-pulev

Just take note of the dates though because it has been moved. Nevertheless, Joshua is the outstanding favourite in this fight. But he all know that he has been upset by Ruiz and then Povetkin devastated Whyte with a one punch KO. Joshua boxing IQ though has increased a lot after that Ruiz lost and for sure he will be careful not to get upset here, so I'm picking Joshua to win by KO/TKO in mid to later rounds.

6768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight - October 17 on: October 16, 2020, 08:45:58 PM
Draw doesn't make the fight exiting, after that there will be a rematch and the 3rd fight, of course we love to see a winner, only one.
But it does make a bettor happy due to a good odds.  Grin

Yes, this is my point, hehehe. Although I'm a Loma and I see him winning, we can't discount that just maybe, Lopez survives and make it a draw. Just a few mBtc wouldn't hurt to throw a beat on it,  Grin. See the thread becomes lively because of the odds and it's just a couple of days from now, and as boxing fans everyone has his/her own prediction, making this fights one of the most anticipated this year, even if you look at Youtube, lots of analysis, so make our bet count.  Wink
6769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight - October 17 on: October 15, 2020, 11:30:45 PM
Lomachencko, and 1, is that round 1 win like kO?

I think it's possible considering how Lopez camp are disrespecting the champ here,
Loma doesn't have the record for round 1 KO IIRC. He likes to destroy opponents' mentality first, like toying with them and forced them to retire. It's risky (based on record) if you want to bet on round 1 KO.

Quite risky indeed because Loma is a slow starter, that is why Lopez camp is urging their guy to catch Loma in the earlier round because the longer it gets it would be disaster for Lopez.

Here's my take, KO in the earlier round for Lopez and KO in the latter round for Loma, just don't know which particular round  Smiley.

BTW, hats off to Lopez Sr, he is a good promoter of the fight as he get into everyone's skin.

Yes, you nail it, hehehe. I bet for Loma for a KO in early rounds. And then have Loma take over in the latter round to look for KO/TKO.

I also have a bet for a draw, risky bet but I like it though,  Grin
6770  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Cryptocurrency scam. on: October 15, 2020, 11:08:35 PM

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2020/07/woz-sues-youtube-over-bitcoin-giveaway-scam-videos-using-his-name/

At si Brad Garlinghouse rin ay sumunod.

https://www.coindesk.com/ripple-sues-youtube-for-allowing-scams-that-promise-free-xrp

6771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: YouTube’s sleazy decline into scam promotion on: October 15, 2020, 10:40:13 PM
Ever since the insane amount of Twitter giveaway scams I got to the conclusion that they're intentionally left alive in order to destroy the image of cryptocurrencies. Nowadays you hear the idea that earning money online is easy so often you get to the point where you may actually believe a giveaway like this - especially if you have never worked before with video editing or have much knowledge about cryptos to find out if they're real giveaways or not.

YouTube could've just filtered the ads, but I believe they simply don't want to. They're in the boat of corporations and the system of enslavement. Why waste your resources filtering out scams when you can just let them lower down the reputation of cryptocurrencies?

If that is there intention then it's a win-win for them, I mean they touted to have this so called filtering algo and it's not working why? because their excuses is that the criminals are making it hard for them, like blackhat methods of cloaking that's why it bypass their system, and then they earn money from it, win number 1. And then the believed that they want to destroy crypto's image, win number 2 for them.
6772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Small dip in BTC price after Trump stimulus tweet on: October 15, 2020, 10:18:49 PM
Nah, there's other reason behind that bitcoin small dip. Not all of Trump's tweet will have am impact with bitcoin's flow of price. I will believe of this cause of spike was that of the pandemic or the movement or selling of companies who owns many bitcoins. But just as thst of the tweet? I don't think so.

I have the same thought.
It might have a little though but not everything.
Trump always had that impact with investors. They are following him. Heck, they would even fund him to win. Not that he needs it.  Grin
It might just be a coincidence that a fall will suddenly happen.
Besides, he uses Twitter too much. Does that mean everything he says will connect to the financial industry?

Just a small dip that it, after that tweet the market seems to be on a pump slicing $11k and now the price is already sustained it self as it move to $11,400++. So it might have an impact but investors are smarter than that, if they see "blood on the streets", definitely a buying opportunity and that's what really happens. Stocks and crypto correlated again, so I'm not surprised, unless there is a big dump in the price which didn't happened.
6773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency: US Election 2020 on: October 15, 2020, 09:31:38 PM
Well we have to take into consideration that US is no longer the super power like 10 years ago, China has been its biggest threat and US lessens its impact on the world economy. If Trump wins, probably just the same, maybe a few pump in the price, but if Biden's win then there's a lot of uncertainty. I will leave here a quote from Theymos and what he sees:

I tend to visualize the price of Bitcoin as being composed of two components: a "digital gold" component which will behave similarly to gold, and a "risk asset" component which will behave like leveraged exposure to the S&P 500. (Neither with 100% correlation, of course, since Bitcoin is its own thing.) The gold component is maybe 20% of the price currently, while the risk-asset component is maybe 80% of the price, so the risk-asset component usually dominates.

I think that any clear resolution to the election will boost risk assets significantly in the medium-term, Bitcoin included, since one of the biggest risks will be taken out of the picture. A chaotic, disputed election outcome will probably cause risk assets including Bitcoin to crash. If chaos lasts a long time, the "digital gold" component of the Bitcoin price may start to dominate more, and this may allow its price to recover more quickly than some other assets. Long-term, a Biden presidency is probably somewhat worse for Bitcoin, since his administration will be more anti-Bitcoin and will be much more likely to put forward harmful regulations. (Not that Trump is super pro-Bitcoin or anything...) I wouldn't expect these sorts of long-term predicted effects to cause much shorter-term price action, though, other than maybe a very-short-term panic crash.
6774  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price fundamentals in ‘moon mode’ as BTC held on exchanges drops on: October 15, 2020, 09:08:40 PM
Thanks @exstasie, but I don't know, I still can't made up my mind as to what really cause the drops of BTC held on exchanges. I known that Chinese media, actually I was able to posts it here, but maybe there could be some "lost in translation", so I didn't push it. And then was surprised to see it as one factor to be considered, Lol. Market is really unpredictable, one good lessons that we really learn and most of the time really hard to understood. And yes, TA could be the only metrics to rely in this very dynamic markets we are in.

Nah, this is just a movie, it won't have that impact in 2020, if this movie was created in 2017, wherein crypto is still in it's infancy and many don't know what it is then maybe it will bring a negative impact. But today, where most of global population have heard the news specially about bitcoin. This is just money grabbing for Hollywood and taking advantage of the Onecoin scam (how ironic),

^^ Interesting video to watch, up to you which side you believe but for me, it seems the father of Lopez is too arrogant and this just add more motivation to Loma to punish his son on the ring this weekend lol.

Loma is already motivated, but with this video and if Loma have seen this, (I believed that he might have seen it), makes him train harder and he might attempt for a knock out or knock down, worst make Lopez quit just like the others, Lol, that will be the most painful sight for Lopez Sr, if suddenly his son doesn't want to fight anymore because he was frustrated. Jr has a dynamite power in both hands, I agree, but if you can't hit the target, then it's useless.

As expected, Crawford in an overwhelming favourite, but it seems that Kell Brook doesn't get the respect from sportbookies. And they seems to be see a beating coming from Crawford. I'm sure this odds will change, but at least we have seen it already, so it's up to you whether to bet the ML or not.

I'll be damned kung meron pa ring mga tao and na fafall sa mga gantong klaseng scam sa youtube. tsaka it's surprising yung amount na "tao"(karamihan siguro ay bots) nanonood sa channel.

Wag kang ma surprise, at marami parin ang naloloko at nabibiktima kahit gasgas na tong klaseng trick. Maraming nanonood parin, so malamang talaga may isa or dalawang mga tao na akala totoo ito at biglang mag send the ETH.

channel reported.

It's just a replay lang or kahit na live, ganun parin pangloloko lang talaga ang tema kasi nila nilalagay tong sa Youtube.
