6781  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The end of copyright and patent is where we should be headed on: March 05, 2015, 07:47:30 PM
In agreement that their should be new models of revenue sharing such as Itunes digital copies etc is where development needs to grow
Also reimbursing artists directly less major studios but more cooperatives
Plus Mickey Mouse laws .... some copyrights are beyond ridiculous.

It dropped below my prediction range due to dropping prices
Wonder if it will keep going or stabilize

6783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin - Full Movie | Download | Watch Online for Free on: March 05, 2015, 05:41:16 PM

Can it be uploaded in Mega and streamed from there ?

In all likelihood just don't have the time at present to upload the thing to a fileshare
Why I was a bit surprised no one did it yet
(Although was pondering putting it into a 1000 view earn 5 dollar video streamer and then donate the proceeds back in Bitcoin to the creator instead but either works)
Trying to recall a video sharing site that pays per stream
I am wondering why this documentary is not uploaded already on the youtube where it could find the most viewers. Some sites halfways like Mega and other sites will not provide recognition at all.

Youtube might be a bit strict and flag it
But good question, there is still buying the DVD but I guess but after a while legitimate uses should start being encouraged.
After initial sales are done which has already occurred etc, secondary income streams start making sense in my opinion.

That said if it was on coinlearn so long might be nice to have some good mirrors (so many ads lol)

6785  Other / Off-topic / Re: How fast can you type ? on: March 05, 2015, 05:23:50 PM
I suck at typing how to improve that skill ?

Back in school days long ago we had this program called all the right type
So basically it was a satanic speed writing program
Where you type words and have speed calculated constantly play that for a bit and you become a speed writing demon
(Oh and ignore the hand position thing its faster to keep the hands split in two sections with the middle shared.)
Keep the fingers hovering over the main letters Smiley

It was amazing movie .
you can watch it here
www.coinlearn.org/movie.php

@Armis what does it mean shown at 35k feet ? Don't tell me it means on a plane too ?

Are you fricken kidding me?

That website is so full of spyware and popups, it's amazing this thread hasn't been marked as a scam yet.

The site is showing the video as iframe and the problem is with the video hosting site. OP even asked for a fresh video. So, rather than complaining, provide a fresh link, if u have one.

A bit surprising someone did not load a DDL link or upload it to some other streaming site
If I remember later I'll post an alt link somewhere else.
6788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 05, 2015, 05:10:06 PM
Like I said yesterday, I'll start worrying about the trend since Jan if and when we fall and stay below 260/265, or dip below the DSMA20 without quickly recovering from it.

Unless something like that happens, I consider the most likely scenario that we're going through a repeat of the late February period, i.e. higher low, followed by consolidation, followed by continuation of uptrend.

That has been the pattern for a year or so
Drops then higher lows followed by a rise up then a drop again to a new low area before that pattern roughly repeats
Kind of curious though when that trendline will be broken
6789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Third Auction For Ulbricht’s Coins, Scheduled on: March 03, 2015, 08:30:19 PM
It would take quite awhile for him to recover those coins I think.

Same opinion doing it legit would be a challenge for Ross
Two days till March 5th will need to keep track
The auction will happen from 8am to 2pm EST, and preregistration is needed for those who want to participate. Just like the 1st and 2nd auction, bitcoins will be auctioned per 2000 or 3000 block.

Good bye, Vault of Satoshi  Cry

6791  Economy / Securities / Re: Havelock Securities At A Glance: The SRS BZNZ Edition on: March 03, 2015, 08:25:32 PM
and there are exchanges that have profitable offerings?
The problem is the offerings, the exchanges are just skimming from us suckers.

Not that I know of best chance is with altcoins (Clams XD)
Otherwise I guess off-chain coins like Ethereum and Maidsafe
Never tried any counterparty stocks so would not know.
6792  Economy / Securities / Re: HAVELOCK INVESTMENTS - Site will be back up Monday March 2nd on: March 03, 2015, 08:20:47 PM
They should just resume the trading, it's speculation time after all. These are the times where you can really speculate on the potential of a company. Crazy, man.

The trading volume on AM and AMhash when they open up will be significant
Also a lot of people running then waiting from cash to see where the dust settles Wink

All site activities will resume on Wednesday March 4th.

One day to go

FINAL LIST
Please feel free to speculate about how wrong your original guess was etc  Grin

Still a few days to go but ha-ha with that range of people someones going to hit the mark
Think it might decrease difficulty a bit more but at 5% that's about right given the price rises
6794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 20MB Fork on: March 03, 2015, 08:11:21 PM
Wow, I have to admit I would have never guessed that such a proposal could have generated such a rift and breadth of opinions.  I'm sorta shocked but then again, the world is a big place.

Well Bitcoin does have a diverse background of individuals with different education backgrounds and perspectives
We get a large breadth of data opinions and ideas as a result.
6795  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: March 03, 2015, 08:08:14 PM
Methinks there might be a lopsided order book if Havelock goes back into business on Wednesday.
I stopped counting at a billion reasons why.

Well it's a gamble at this point
Question is if you buy now is it a good gamble for the price or is it way to risky a bet
(Mtgox dilemma) when there was that fractional reserve of mtgox coins after the Gox shutdown lol
6796  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 03, 2015, 08:06:59 PM
A human translated post from Rock Xie.
Thanks to byt411

Many people were panicking, asking if AsicMiner had run for it, and asking if the mining farms/datacentres had been shut down. How are we going to run for it? AMHash is not a lot of money to AsicMiner, and after our calculations, we only earn around 2500BTC. Who would run for this? If we wanted to run for it, we would've done so a lot earlier, and we wouldn't wait until now. Would we abandon our families? friedcat's family also reported this to the police, but we can't find him.

The worrying bit....

Indeed I hope no one is using the $5 dollar method to get him to reveal a private Key
Scary things the Chinese mob ...

Just try not to lick someone's boob.

Actually I was just in Cuba, where a very attractive blond girl let me bite a pineapple off her perfect nipple.  I did use my tongue while doing it. Wink

I wanted to thank everyone for your kind words.  I'm striving to be a level headed respected member of the society, nothing else.

Welcome back your spirit even when it was away was not forgotten ^^
Also that part above made me a bit jealous Damn You Vod Smiley

6798  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Man gets life in prison for selling $20 worth of weed to undercover cop on: March 03, 2015, 05:14:08 AM
Complete and utterly useless. A pointless imprisonment will now cost tax payers hundreds of thousands over his life time while he's sitting there for a non-violent crime. Completely uncalled for.

That and reading up more on the topic the justice they interviewed called it a great success having the mandatory minimums set up to catch these latent criminals and pile them all up to go to jail for life.
Because they were abandoned by the system itself and the justices never face the consequences for their actions

--
Winslow, a middle-aged black man with a “prolific criminal record,” is the program’s bread and butter. It’s people like him who Brown believes need to be “treated more seriously.” Just because they’re imprisoned for nonviolent offenses doesn’t mean they’re nonviolent people, he says. Smaller charges, with the help of mandatory minimum sentencing laws, give him the opportunity to lock people up for good.

Mumble this and shootings all over no wonder they riot.
6799  Other / Politics & Society / US police shoot homeless man dead in Los Angeles on: March 03, 2015, 05:03:07 AM
Police Story

US police have shot and killed a homeless man during an altercation in central Los Angeles, in an incident caught on video.

The graphic film shows a violent struggle between the man and several officers in the city's Skid Row area.

Police say that three officers opened fire after the man tried to grab a gun from an officer.

Witnesses said the dead man was known as Africa and had been homeless after treatment for mental illness.

The LA police department said officers had been responding to reports of a robbery and had attempted to use a Taser to subdue the suspect but he had "continued fighting and resisting".

It just goes to show the difference between the rich and the poor
If your extremely poor they will find any excuse to keep you in there for life and off the streets.
