682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How to invest my bitcoins in markets and stocks? on: June 10, 2011, 04:11:28 AM
Hi, my name is Joseph.

I recently bought a 5850 ati card to generate bitcoins. I have generated 1.5 bitcoins approximately.

I think this is not in my expectations, Im a little frustrated; so I need another recommendation to invest my few bitcoins; to grow them.

I know almost nothing about investing in markets, stocks and so. Can anyone explain it in basic words, please? Can anyone recommend me a way for invest my bitcoins wisely?

A thread may not be enough for that kinds of explanations, but I'm really interested in bitcoins investing, so I'll be very awake for your recommendations.

Thank you a lot.

friendly, a poor student (sorry for my weird english)

As I understand it, hashing is not limited by PCIE in any way shape or form. There is no card that can max out even a PCI-E x1 slot.

Just make sure you have 2 spaces between the two slots, or else if you use a different card in conjunction with the mining card you won't be able to fit them. If it will be just that card in the machine then it will be fine. I will point out though that it will be very unprofitable to mine a single card on a machine.
Thak you, I didnt know.

Which ATI card you recommend for my money? (200$)

Any PCI-e card will work on that mobo.
Cool, but i ask if any can fully work or could be limited by the mother board / slot speed.

I know a little of assemble hardware and software, but not about some technical details like this, and i wantto be trust in my invest.

But thank you.

Hi, my name is Joseph.

I want to invest in a powerful graphic card for mining bitcoins, because i think it is too dangerous to invest buying bitcoins (if, for example, I loose my wallet); however, a powerful card can be sold again in the worst cases.

Of course, my budget is smaller than 200 dollars, but I think it is enough for a good and modern ATI card for mining.

My motherboard is a little "basic", but it is relatively modern: it have two PCI slots, one PCI-e x16 slot, and a PCI-e x1 slot as well.

However, I don't want to buy powerful card, if it can't fully work with my motherboard. That's what I fear.

Please help me to choose the most powerful and best video card for my system. If you choose well, I'll give you some coins; if everything goes ok.

This is the technical information of my system:

Motherboard: ASRock N68-S UCC
Processor: AMD Sempron 140, 2700 MHz (13.5 x 200)
RAM memory: 1.5 GB
Operating systems: Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.04

If another technical details are needed, please ask me for them.

Your video card doesnt support OpenCL or CUDA. And cpu mining is out of question now. Either buy a video card, or buy bitcoins directly.
I bought an ATI Radeon 7000, but for some reason, seems too old.

689  Bitcoin / Mining / Best miner for GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a chipset on: May 18, 2011, 11:23:28 PM
Hi everyone! Yesterday I discovered bitcoin. I think it can have a very interesting future, but i tried a lot of miners and no one seems to works for me, but the online one (JAVA applet) which is very slow.

I use windows 7 and more than 512 mb of ram. My chipset  is GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a; I installed the CUDA toolkit, but guiminer says it can start up it.

I need help, please. If anyone knows about an easy miner for my GPU, and help me to install it, ill thank you a lot (maybe with a coin).
