Now you can switch from the solvemedia captcha to recaptcha and vice versa by clicking on the link that says "Try a different captcha?" in the login page and free play page. You need to enter only one of the two captchas.

Let me know if anybody runs into issues with this.

I've actually been having a lot of trouble with solvemedia on my ipad whereas recaptcha was seamless. Would it be possible to implement a "choose-your-captcha" type of setting like they have on http://bitcoiner.net/ ? This allows users more flexibility and makes your site more competitive as well. Thanks!

Yes, I am working on implementing that. Should be available in a couple of days.

This solvemedia captcha still not working for me in Opera... Undecided

Can you try now and let me know ?

Also, now in the REFER page you can see the number of hits and signups using your ref link for the last 30 days. In a couple of days, you will also be able to track results of different ad campaigns by using tags added to your ref link.

I am at the login page right now, and the captcha is not working properly (i.e. not showing words). It showed the words just once (when I hit the Refresh icon in the captcha), but I didn't know the password (had to reset it)...

well that kinda sucks. ill try to implement the recaptcha option along with solve media by today because others might be facing similar issues i guess.

"THE AMOUNT OF BITCOINS YOU CAN WIN WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CALCULATED NOW BASED ON THE CURRENT BITCOIN PRICE "

well it was ... bit not any more... now is fixed sum you can win... i thintk that is 225 statoshi. but it is a good site... Wink

I buy up bitcoins with ad revenue at the end of each month. Last month I bought them at $800 each so because the price dropped so suddenly after, I had to fix the rewards at the value of $800. Maybe after I buy coins at a cheaper price this month, I'll be able to increase the rewards.

Yes, the image itself with words was absent. I can click Refresh icon, enter symbols, and even switch and listen to audio. But no image, nevertheless. It seems to be a browser related issue (I used Opera) since now, in Firefox, everything works like a charm...

I tried opera for linux and the captcha seemed to appear fine. Tried it a few times. Must be a local issue with opera on your computer ?

Maybe. I also use Linux and this new captcha worked for me at first. I restarted Opera and now can't even login, lol Grin

I think its a javascript issue with opera, if you click on login, it logs you in but doesnt redirect to your account. When you refresh the page, uou should be in your account.

You didn't understand. I can't login because I can't enter captcha (in Opera)... Grin

oh ok, could still be a javascript issue as thats what the captcha uses.

I would like to know what everyone thinks of the new captcha compared to recaptcha that was used earlier ? Is anybody having a difficult time solving it or is it easier then recaptcha ?

The captcha is easier, at least last time when I was able to get to it. But right now I just can't get to see the words I should enter, lol...

was the captcha image not loading ?

Why I always loose when I try to multiply?

It doesn't seem fair!

I work hard for 20.000 satoshies and then loose it all in a matter of seconds .... can you disable for me the multiplier option?

Something like safe gambling Smiley
Thanks!

I'll try to come up with a solution for that.

Verification code is quite difficult to read! Kiss Kiss Kiss
Do you think so?

Sorry, I can't help with that. When the website had an easier captcha, lots of bots abused it so I was forced to use recaptcha.

Now, the client seed for each roll is generated in the users browser using javascript and you can change it if you want to by clicking on the link that says PROVABLY FAIR at the top. This makes each roll well and truly provably fair. I didn't have much time to test this, so if you notice any bugs, please let me know.

Also, there are quite a few "smart" bots still abusing the service so until I can manage to remove those, I will have to delay the bonus program because otherwise it will benefit the bots a lot more than humans.
Captcha is better now!
But my lost referrals will come back?

lost referrals ?
To reduce database load, only 10 referrals are loaded initially, but you can see the remaining ones by clicking on "SHOW 10 MORE REFERRALS" or "SHOW ALL REFERRALS" at the bottom of the referral table.

what happened to the faucet?

I keep on getting this message:
Software error:

Can't execute select:
Unknown table engine 'InnoDB' at /var/www/cgi-bin/freebitco.in/Modules/Database.pm line 61.
For help, please send mail to the webmaster (support@freebitco.in), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

Should be fine now.

It might well happen that we could wait longer than expected (read forever)... For every "smart" bot being killed there are two even smarter ones being forged...

I realize that so I am thinking of modifying the service to make it un-viable for bots. One idea that I have been thinking about is letting users play the free roll only once a day and increasing all rewards by 5x because on average an active user plays the free roll 5 times a day.

Why not use some "clever" captcha which would be impossible to pass through by bots (e.g. to answer some question)? Also, playing once a day doesn't change anything with multiple accounts using proxies. In fact, it would even be more tempting to use them on such terms...

The captcha isn't the issue, there are some bots using services like deathbycaptcha.com to solve captchas ie. automatically creating accounts and then relaying the captcha to such services to get them solved and then passing the answer back. This way they can play a large number of free plays from hundreds of accounts without any limitations. These services charge $1.39 per 1,000 captchas solved so they are generating quite a bit of profit from this.

So it is actually the captcha that is an issue here. Then again, why not use bulletproof "captchas" which require understanding, not just reading?

Most other variants of captchas that I have seen require flash which I feel would make the service inaccessible to a lot of users. These captcha breaking services solve any type of captchas that contain letters and numbers. The only other options available currently are game captchas and advertisement captchas. I am actually working on setting up different types of captchas to do some A/B testing to see which one users respond best to and which one can block bots effectively.

late is better then benefiting bots we can wait for this good luck for you hard work

but I think once a day is not fair you need to do must 3 or 4 time a day its better and then you have some more members for this site

yeah, i haven't decided on it yet. just thinking about it at the moment.
