How to subscribe:
1. open your wallet
2. click on the tab Transaction and sub tab Subscriptions (at the left hand menu)
3. click on the button Create Subscription (at the right upper corner)
4. enter the BURST address from above for your Zodiac sign
5. use as amount 10 BURST
6. click on the button Create Subscription

The IFs:
If you use an amount lower than 10 BURSTs, the daily amounts will be counted as donation.
THANK YOU!

If you use as amount 10 BURSTs, the system will send you daily at this time of the day a message with your subscribed Zodiac message.

If you use an amount more than 10 BURSTs, the system will count the amount above 10 BURSTs as donation.
THANK YOU!

If you use another seconds amount then 86,400 seconds, then the subscription will be shorter or longer. You may receive multiple times the same message, or missing some day's message.

You can cancel any time!

How it works.
Whenever the system finds an incoming amount of 10 or more BURSTs then it will send the message of the day out to the subscriber.

Remember, mining reward is getting less every month by 5%. Transaction fee is therefore important to keep the miners going. Participate in this/any BURST project.

Maybe plots could at least store the Blockchain in a future version ?

You have no idea how much I want that....The ultimate trim!!!

Everybody, watch out for this asset: Petabyte

Sell order from issuer @179k Burst....which equates to $81USD/TB...If anyone thinks that they'll ROI at that price....well, ur not. Don't know how Elmit is selling this...obviously the buyers are idiots and don't research anything.

Asset Issuer offers for 180,000 and 180,100 (That is the line where it says "Asset Issuer") that was a fair price at the time:
170 US$ a 4 TB hard disk at 0.00000080 to 0.00000100 Burst/BTC and 250 US$/BTC

It pays also dividends! Didn't you notice your payout of about 17,000 Bursts. Not bad for your proposed price of 18,000 Bursts per 1 TB hard disk space.

We CALCULATE the asset price. And with all assets (or stock) the market dictates the trading price.

Therefore:
Do you have BURSTs in your wallet? How much interests do you get? If none, then buy assets:
Open your wallet, click on Asset Exchange
Add Asset with the ID: 14668748687827404894
Buy assets, as you can afford it.
Relax and get paid as we mine for you.

... but sure you can just watch your wallet.

*sign* just changed back to give it another try, and the response time of the server is very bad, including timeouts etc...
I really like the frontend, but can you maybe get someone who is able to setup a stable unix server? there are under 50 miners on the server and it looks like the backend is already burning.

I begin to hate that 4 confirmation thing when switching pools...

Cat is a most capable Linux/Unix dev. Dunno about speed...this thing barely touches server resources...50 miners? Try 250!! Are you sure that you're on BURST.NINJA?

Obviously he is on the new "FRONTEND", it is the only pool which looks like the old tv test page, ... hehehehe
I also think that a *nix server is much better suitable than Windows.

Our pool keeps all on Linux, even my desktop is Linux.

Interesting!
Petabyte keeps it's value. YOU got even some! So you must be very happy! If you think it is not worth it, then sell it!!! or transfer it with your proposed 18,000

There are some thoughts about BURSTs:

"Keep your BURSTS, don't sell them, it will rise"
1. Why would that be so?
2. If no trading, no Exchange will like BURSTs, so how would it rise, or keep its value?
Rewards by mining reduces every month by 5%. What keeps the value up for miners?
=>>> Transaction fees

How to get Transaction fee rewards?
When people start to use BURST more often.
What can we do to increase Transaction traffic?
Offer products, services, send encrypted messages, ...

---

What have YOU contributed to get BURSTs up?

I tell you mine:

1. I established the Zodiac of the day as subscription. Low cost, but it involves 2 BURSTs of transaction fee (per user and day).

2. I setup a Crowdfunding case to get more harddisk - as expected, it failed.

3. I am finishing an online course "Great Vision" dealing with improving eye sight without glasses, eye surgeries, ... (will be finished in the next week) - Important is the price structure:
Paypal/Credit card with Affiliates of Clickbank  37 US$ => after Clickbank/Affiliate, remains about 7.5 US$ (not really interested to do so)
Pay with BTC via BitPay, .... after discount remains about 34 US$
Pay with NXT (selfmade payment system), ... after discount (more than with BTC) remains 32 US$
Pay with BURST ... after discount (more than with NXT) remains 30 US$

4 Planned: Joke of the day (same code as Zodiac), includes 2 BURSTs of transaction fee per user and day

5. Planned: Online course about BURSTS and Burstming, Crowdfunding applied. Expect only donation towards the course, plus Advertisements of pools on the Course site (paid in BURSTs only)

In my opinion we need to make more things available where you can use - or even NEED - BURSTS.

Number 1 rule in crypto. Always sell a little bit. Always buy a little. Hopefully you profit Smiley and it keeps the coin economy chugging along. Bots are the biggest buyers and sellers for number of transaction methinks

I understand as buying and selling to exchange Bursts to other goods and services, while I see it as "trading" when it is about currencies, like BURST<->BTC<->FIAT
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.2 Automated Transactions on: February 27, 2015, 05:06:36 AM
how to I restrict my wallet to accept 1.2.2 wallet connections only?
if this is not possible, is there a command I can use to forcibly disconnect a specific IP that I can see running previous versions?

in the conf file

# Known bad peers to be blacklisted
nxt.knownBlacklistedPeers=

separate each IP by a ;

I haven't tried it, but its brother, nxt.wellKnowPeers appears to work, so I would guess this would work also.

Good-Luck & let us know

edit:
# Blacklist peers for 600000 milliseconds (i.e. 10 minutes by default).
nxt.blacklistingPeriod=600000

I'm guessing jack this number up to blacklist them for longer.  I have one peer running the 1.1.0 wallet that I think I am going to try and black list for the next 1000yrs just because
I'm just not interested in constantly checking, adding IPs to the list, restarting, and repeating this over an over again.
I'd prefer 1 setting that says don't accept below my version for example.

To my knowledge, it does only accept peers compatible with the version you are running. To block somebody with a lower version will not improve your system. As I understand not all wallet change something to the blockchain and so they are still compatible, but change something in the features you can use within your wallet.

So I'm back to solo mining and once again not finding nearly as many blocks as I did when I was on a pool. For luck this seems to fluctuate a lot with where I'm mining...

I have my clock set to synchronize every 4 hours, is there anything else that would influence my ability to mine solo compared to pools besides it?

Increase the hard disk space !!! That is the only method I am sure works best!!!  lol

Thank you. We will continue to work hard for both our miners and the BURST community. BURST is the future. Cheesy

"Hard work" never pays, "Smart work" does

How many Billionaires do you know who got rich by working (hard)?

Try to say to your customer, I know my product ...., but I worked hard to come so far!

To the context:

BURST might have a future, if we can bring the message across that BURST is ahead of the game (Smart Contract)
... and hopefully soon will somebody teach us how to setup smart contracts by ourselves.
BURST has a great spot, since it can be mined with nearly any computer and with nearly any space available.
BURST mining can be used to keep a computer working, while the use go for the weekend

Since 1985, I got a lots of computers. Most of them actually did not need a power button, they run from "birth" till "death".

Where is the best place to post new products/services payable for BURSTs?

BitcoinTalk is not suitable for that for the general public

Social Networks are currently not responding to Crypto currency talks yet.

I propose a section, like the old GUESTbook to use on a well known Burst web site, like Burstcoin.eu
German people usually avoid English as often as they can, so they might want to post on the upcoming Burstcoin.de

What's your idea?

Problem is the I have only 6 ~ hrs to set up Sad

Do you mean that your plotted files will be deleted after 6 hours?

Yes, they will shutdown, and all files will be deleted forever. I need to create my own image in 6hrs.

Lets break this down.

You have access to 1000+ Amazon C3 instances, each one having these specs
32vCPU   60GB RAM   2 x 320 GB SSD

But you only have this massive farm 6hrs each day.

That's roughly 640TB worth of mining power coming on for 6hrs each day.

Your efforts are nothing but bad for the Burst Network.  You want to move 640TB worth of data within 6rs.... 640TB in  6hrs  Cheesy.  1000+ instances each one have 2x 320GB SSD drives.  That's 640TB  you need to store the plots some place and then upload them to your instances each day.

I'm pretty sure this is not possible, and how does someone get access to that type of computing power for 6hrs each day.  You could make this work on a smaller scale, but I have no desire to see large scale miners only pop on for 6hrs each day.  Good-luck

From my experience you can plot with 4 threads, and 10 GB RAM (dedicated to plotting) plot about 40 GB per hour, ... that gives you 240 GB per machine within 6 hours.
Since you mine at the same time and the plot files are created like a triangle, it is equal to the half, ... so per instance 120 GB mining x 6 hours
If you use 1000 machines for 6 hours, that is equal to 250 machines 24 hours, ... so we got 250 x 120 GB per day = about 30 TB per day !!!!
With a network capacity of currently 14,000 TB, this 30 TB does not make a difference !!!

The profit according to the calculator would be 5,824 BURSTs per day, or about 2.44 US$

Yes, they will shutdown, and all files will be deleted forever. I need to create my own image in 6hrs.

I did something similar once. I used a script file to setup the entire system. When I started a new instance, then I only uploaded the right script file and let it run.

The trick is to get all setup correct.

As heard before, you need to have all plotfiles non-overlapping, that is one parameter you change for each instance, all other remain exactly the same.
Remember, that you can mine already as soon the plotfile has been started to exist. It throws you an error, which you can ignore, basically saying that the plot file did not contain as much as expected.

You can go even a step further and setup one system, that starts all other systems with EXPECT, a tool, that was used to maintain thousands of routers.

Good luck!

Oh, don't forget to use my pool for that - MiningHere.com:8001

If you need help, ... I am a click away ;-)

riskyfire:

I would recommend that you use screen on Linux, ... that keeps the window running, while you may have lost the connection. Maybe you want to logout of your monitor, then screen will keep it running!

I use therefore following screens (if not with screen, than use tabs):

1. screen/tab  BurstWallet
cd ~/burst/burst_1.2.2
nohup java -cp burst.jar:lib/*:conf nxt.Nxt &

2. screen/tab  plotter
Usage:
/media/ronald/Seagate-1-4T/burstminer/dcct_miner/plot -k KEY [-d DIRECTORY] [-s STARTNONCE] [-n NONCES] [-m STAGGERSIZE] [-t THREADS]

Example calculation:
4 TB, available: 3906798052
3906798052 / 256 nounces = 15260929.890625
Only possible number must be devideable by 40,000 (=my staggering size): 381.5
=> 40,000 x 381 = 15240000

BurstMiner:
cd ~/media/ronald/Seagate-1-4T/
nohup ~/media/ronald/Seagate-1-4T/burstminer/dcct_miner/plot -k 17762102779501773438 -s 0 -n 15240000 -m 40000 -t 4

Link that file:
ln -s /media/ronald/Seagate-1-4T/plots/*  /home/ronald/burst/plots/

3. screen/tab mining
rm ~/mine-log
mv ~/mine-log-date ~/mine-log-date-2015-01-19==14-00   (my last log file)
cd ~/burst/burst-miner-r4
./burstminer >> ~/mine-log

4. screen/tab logconverter  (because the original logfile has no timestamp !!!)
tail -f ~/mine-log | while read line; do echo `date` "$line" ; done >> ~/mine-log-date

5. screen/tab burstmenu
Here I created my own tasks, df, top, ....

the burst-miner-r4 needs a config file

cat mining.conf
 {
    "poolUrl" : "mininghere.com:8124",
    "submissionMaxDelay" : 15,
    "submissionMaxRetry" : 3,
    "socketTimeout" : 60,
   "maxBufferSizeMB" : 768,
    "plots" :
    [
       "/home/ronald/burst/plots"
   ]
 }

from each harddisk's plotfile I make   ln -s  to /home/ronald/burst/plots
that has the advantage, if I take out/add a new hard disk, I do not need to do anything.

(and you may consider to use my pool ;-)  )

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to get my rig running as efficiently as possible.

I've got 22TB running via external usb 2/3 hard drives but I'm
getting poor mining results yielding less then 1-2k Burst per day.

The biggest problem has been finding a miner than runs well with
4Gb ram (tried upto 14gb) with vista 64 / windows 7. I'm using Runaurufu
miner but doesn't seem to work well with burst.ninja. Blago runs good for an hour
but will often crash I think due to ram or OS.

My total drive scan time is 220+ seconds and I think this is the problem?
I'm often the last to submit deadlines and missing out on the faster blocks.

I've been re-plotting my drives these past few days as I found two of my first plotted
drives had lots of small plots and that was slowing down the whole setup.

Any other tips? Do's or Don'ts or anything that might help.
I was considering de-casing the external drives and setting them up as sata.

Change the USB 2.0 HDD to USB 3.0 or SATA conection, and try the latest Blago miner version, it fix the memory leak in W7 i think. Some people reported bad mining results with W7 too, better switch to W8.1 or a GNU/Linux distro like Debian or Ubuntu.

Edit: You can try optimizing the plots too! Smiley
Edit2: The difficulty is very HIGH now, i only mine like 500 Burst yesterday Sad

RAM is important, try to get more and use a staggering size that fits to the amount of RAM you use.

What the hell is wrong with burst.ninja? It's been 24 hours now and no payout and yes i know payout minimum is higher but i got 4TB("~capacity" shows 1,5 tb whatever that means) mining with no payout for far too long. On other pools i got 500-1k burst per day so there should have been a payout already. Because of the hiccups i switched pool for a while and my earnings where 5 times higher, now i come back hoping for some improvement and i get nothing. This is fucking suspicious. If i ever get a payout i will be gone for sure.

There is always the factor "Luck" included. If nobody in the pool finds a block, then nothing can be splitted!

Or sarcastic said, you plotted the wrong data, ... lol

You are relying to much on that factor
