681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can newbie become rich with trading on: June 15, 2022, 10:16:06 PM
Newbies could get rich only if they are in a very high hyped lucky situation. This means that if they are in a big bull run and make a good chunk of investment and get lucky, they could totally get rich. I have met with so many people who invested 10k-15k during the bull run of 2021 and to some veeeery stupid coins, and yet they became very rich. With DeFi also allowing you to get in early and stake, that meant that you may have bought 10-15k worth of tokens, but with staking you held like 20-25k right away in first couple of days because of high stake returns. Then the price went x10 and you had 200-250k suddenly in a week or two. This wasn't rare, it happened quite frequently as well.

This of course is not suggested, its a very risky move and majority of people ended up being in a rug pull instead.
Not everyone get that lucky, i have seen some forks who made huge profits during the early ico days and at the moment lost everything to defi and the rest of the new developments in the industry. Let's be subjective and try to look out for projects that have a future perspective and not just an over-hyped project.
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Well, you put your money in your luna if it gets forked? on: June 15, 2022, 09:41:23 PM
The past few weeks have been the most challenging for there luna coin investors, as the network witnessed a hard attack that led to its price crash but then we can't give up on the project since it has some good prospects. And recently the CEO announced a recovery plan so am forced to ask will still buy the forked luna coin if it lunched or you rather look away from it?
If you have enough to waste then you can go ahead and invest in the new Luna. Trust me, the old Luna was never under an attack. It was an orchestrated scam to rugpull investors.

If you still believe in the so called "good prospects" then go ahead and invest even when the project as S.C.A.M written all over it.
I agree with you on this, i cant invest in a coin that it ceo does not have any commitment to the project if not how can an attack of this magnitude will only originate from an insider. So the luna 2.0 os nothing to go by and if anyone makes the mistake of investing in it you only putting your money to lose.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High odds or low odds, which do you prefer? on: June 15, 2022, 05:23:38 PM
In my own little experience in football betting, the odds are a pointer to the strength of the team and the weaker clubs are always given the highest odds so in most cases choosing a high odds to .bet is purely based on luck.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Well, you put your money in your luna if it gets forked? on: June 15, 2022, 05:19:56 PM
I bought a few of that coin recently and since then the market has been dropping I don't know why but am sure the Bitcoin impact is on most altcoins and since Luna is a troubled project recently I will advise we stay off the coun for now until they get the stability back.
685  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Less FOMO more Buying on: June 13, 2022, 10:14:44 PM
Those with big appetites have always made huge profits from similar situations in the past decades with Bitcoin volatility and to a great extent, the best time to buy is during a market correction such as this if Bitcoin moves down to 10,000 most people can afford to buy their dream quantity.

As you give new traders a lot of advice and encouragement, keep in mind that many of us came here hoping Bitcoin would go past $25k, but as it stands now, many of us had already invested when Bitcoin's price dropped to $30k. So, what is the best course of action in this situation?
Do you believe that as the price of Bitcoin continues to fall, many newcomers will adopt it again?
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Modernizing old projects on: June 13, 2022, 10:08:05 PM
Perhaps I ought to offer it a reprieve and quit thinking excessively, yet again we should know that not all altcoins are crap coins and not intended to go the distance, definitely we have seen so many reusing groups concocting trick projects however at that point we can scrap out the genuine not many among them who experience comparative confidence with the shifty one yet in various ways and for the most part due to no blame of theirs, would it be advisable for us we presently disregard their turn of events. In any case, I have no coin as a top priority.
Perhaps we should place more priority on rebranding of old and good coin/probecr since the have some level of potential and also good user case that will make them undertook so many aspects of the cryptocurrency environment.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a gem hunter? on: June 12, 2022, 10:22:57 PM
Am done with hunting gems now, since most of the new projects end up as scams or never meet up with their road maps. So I don't find new projects attractive anymore.
But all the same, I wish you Goodluck with the development and progress as you go.
688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: June 12, 2022, 08:31:48 PM
I have always opted for diversity in my portfolio and not concentrate on only one asset, Bitcoin is a relatively stable asset and less volatile, so if you hold Bitcoin your asset may not crash suddenly just like most altcoins do and that can give you some level of confidence to hold for a long time, but if you looking for a quick but high risky profit then you can look in the direction of altcoins but don't hold for long if you don't want to lose everything in the process.
689  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: June 11, 2022, 09:23:08 PM
Putting everything into Bitcoin may seem to be the smartest move to make to secure your investment for long-term purposes, but the truth of the matter is diversification is a very important attribute of an investment. So I will still suggest you rethink and make your portfolio up of quality assets that have long-term goals.
690  Economy / Economics / Re: The world economy is in recession on: June 11, 2022, 08:10:54 PM
If you say global meltdown I will agree with you but saying the world is in a recession is an overstatement and that can not be proven, there is a big difference between recession and inflation or economic meltdown down so get that straight.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Modernizing old projects on: June 11, 2022, 12:15:33 PM
I don't think that old projects that have failed will be successful if they are remodeles again, moreover by the same team. It has very small chance even there is still.
If I want to invest, I don't want to out money into this kind of project model. I will prefer to choose projects that have been in the top market, have great trust, and also high volume at least. More research are also required.
Even though the possibility of them succeeding is very slim, we can not leave them. out just like that, as I mentioned earlier some of these projects failed not because of their plan but because of external factors that forced them to park up. Recently I started a study and the area of coverage was the blueprints of crypto projects and what scalability problems there are out to solve. To my greatest surprise, I came across several projects with excellent user interfaces that will give cryptocurrency users the best experience, but yet the project is presently on hold due to one of the member developers being sacked and the remaining are afraid of the security of the project to their have to stop.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 10, 2022, 10:01:17 PM
Arsenal are trying their possible best to build their team with young lads. Eversince the departure of Arsene Winger, the team haven't been the same, From Unai Emery to Mikel Arteta, they always go for young and vibrant players like Saka which Arteta brought from the academy and gave him an opportunity to play on the pitch. Let's say, Gunners are recycling their team by removing old players. For instance Pierre Aubameyang was send to Barcelona and now, Lacazette who is on his way to Lyon. If Gunners continue like this, by giving young lads chances. In a few season, they will improve their pattern of the game.
Most clubs are preparing for the next season and arsenal after their last performance have to put a lot of things in place to place the club in the right direction to form a strong formation against other clubs, the club used to be among the top 3 in the premier league ling enough not to have fallen below that position in the last season. But with right players signing in this season let see what the club management will come up with.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Reaches Its All-Time High. on: June 10, 2022, 08:13:18 PM
In the peek of the 2017 bull run I experience one fees situations that I can never forget for a long time, I paid almost $100 fees on a small amount of Bitcoin then the lighting network was not all that popular and the network was a lot confusing and hard to understand for many of us then, But with a lot of development, the network is now simple and easy to use with a lot of wallets running the lighting network nodes.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Modernizing old projects on: June 10, 2022, 07:46:04 PM

Not one of them, if the coin is dead or long been dead and they are making a comeback expect them to suffer the same thing like lack of support and poor activity coming from developers, there are investors who lose their money from investing from these dead coins if they want to make a return they should compensate these investors, investors will think that they are going to scam people again so it's better for these dead coins to stay dead.
You may be right just like what we are seeing what is happening with Luna coin swapped to luna 2.0 and since then the coin has been struggling to get to foot on the ground, so many projects that have failed before will not enjoy the support of their community for the second time.
But we still have some old projects with good ideas that could help build the industry but have failed because of other factors outside the team such as the covid-19 pandemic.
695  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake and primedice are the worst gambling sites on: June 09, 2022, 09:49:33 PM

I seriously would love to have stake as the worst one, I mean I imagine how great stake is right now, and think that the greatness of stake would be shrimped by the greatness of all the others that would be even better. But unfortunately, we do not have that and right now stake is the best one out there, could be challenged, but not right now.
And we have now got the announcement of partners with sponsoring club Everton, that should be good news for the gamblers who will be getting betting aggression next season by the fans of this club. Because for now the withdrawal from Watford will make users of the fans withdraw from casino, but next season it is certain that Everton fans can be at Stake.com

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2072589.msg60321054#msg60321054
That's some good news there having such big sponsorship Everton is a great club any brand that is associated with the club will make huge marketing results, and seeing that most football fans are already looking out for next season this seems to be the best time to get such big sponsorship and stake have been known for this type of bug promotion in different sporting events.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thrives on education and self-sovereignty on: June 09, 2022, 09:20:51 PM
Bitcoin has no feelings you only have to ride with the trend, bad news and good news all contribute equally to the general Bitcoin market but in different directions, for the long-term holders looking away from the price chat is the best option.
But to a beginner who has a lot of cashing up to do stirring at the price chart becomes a daily job for them, this could lead to depressing conditions but then they will learn along the way. But in all don't get too greedy to the point of putting in a huge amount that will keep you awake for too long both as a newbie or an old-timer in the game this is general advice.

The site works well on mobile for me but so many limitations for crypto gamblers who may have reservations for KYC and want privacy, but your site does not guarantee that privacy.
Aside from that, the admin looks inactive here with just this thread on his post history, let's wait to see what the admin will come up with in the future if there will listen to the suggestion and feedback from members of the forum or not.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Modernizing old projects on: June 08, 2022, 08:44:21 PM
1. There might be a reason on why they didn't follow what is written on the whitepaper. It could be because they lack of funds, and they didn't achieve their quota but they fail on this maybe because the investors didn't like what they are offering.

2. That is why it's important that you know and are familiar on each of your team members especially if they are assigned to hold the funds for the project.

3. Hack's cant be avoided but a project must try hard to build a secure system that won't be easily accessed by hackers.

4. About this one. This is also normal where challenges can come but a strong project can survive these trials no matter what.
A lot of factors can contribute to the failure of a project and what you mentioned is one of such factors but that is classified under external factors, this is so because before a project make it to the market the team should have made all the necessary arraignment that will aid the smooth running when the finally goes public.

The thread has been silent for a long and if one looks closely you will notice that lightlord has been online a couple of times but failed to address the thread to clear the air, I think this is a bad way of handling a business while keeping your clients in the dark when their need updates and information.

....but then again we could still find some good ico projects that can be rebuilt and transformed to fit into the current dispensation.
Maybe OP, but it might be hard to find one nor get back the interest of some devs to get their feet wet again due to how bad of a reputation was ICO back around 2017. Those days were still amazing not gonna lie and I would go back to those glorious days if I had to for those ICOs. Too bad that scammers/scumbags brought the market into crap.
You have a good point there the way the project ended previously has a big deal and the reputation is what will set the project make it the first choice among other new projects who can offer similar services and be able to build a new brand effortlessly instead of renewing an old bad project.
