681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenfiveCoin ◘ Adaptive Scrypt-N ◘ MOBILE SMS 10-5 Relay on: March 14, 2014, 02:23:37 AM
Hi,

I am going to introduce myself,  I am the creator of this coin.

Ultimately, this coin has been created to act and provide a source of income to myself, and the people whom decide to get involved in the coin.

About Me:

I live in Alberta, Canada.  I am a computer programmer who that works in enterprise voice applications (Metaswitch, BroadWorks and Sonus).  I have been doing enterprise to open source software development for the past 14 years for a many different organizations.  I did not get into bitcoin or coin mining until mid-last year, which is when I borrowed a video card and learned how to setup the mining software (cgminer).

Why 10-5 and why did I decide to create an Altcoin?

First of all and foremost, to answer the question about 10-5.  The reason the coin has been named 10-5 was because it is the police code for relaying a message.  I am trying to relay my message, and my project ideas.  Secondly, I am using this coin somewhat as a vehicle to create the projects that I for one do not have the capital to invest or time.  I have spent several months mulling over the idea before starting to come to the decision of creating this coin.

Why I think you should invest?

I think you should invest because I have already begun on putting together a fully integrated web-based portal for this coin to show our commitment to it.  Unlike almost every other coin out there, they have not had the resources available to their followers at launch or thereafter.

Where are the funds going?

I am making this public knowledge, the initial BTC investment for the IPO is not owned by myself.  I am treating Tenfive as its own entity.  The funds in the IPO will be directed by the owners of the IPO.  I personally would like to see that the BTC invested in this IPO can pay for the development and marketing resources of the products and services we plan to build.  The money generated from the products and services then would be paid back to the IPO investors as dividends of Tenfives profits.

To give you an idea, at the time of writing this, we have already procured about 3 BTC worth of IPO capital.  This will pay for some development time and efforts, at current market value 3 BTC is about 1900$ (sourced from preev.com).  This will pay for a full weeks worth of full-time developer resources.

Closing

If you have any questions about any of this,  I expect the courtesy to contact me and I will address anything you have questions about.  I can be contacted at questions@tenfivecoin.com.  From there, if you would like my contact information so you could contact me directly or call me I would be more than happy to provide you my phone number.  I would prefer that the my information I share with you be kept confidential.

Thank for taking the time to read this

Your coin would have had some sort of promise if it weren't being pushed by the biggest scammers this side of the Mississippi.

I expect Wolong is somewhere behind the scenes with his finger on the red button.
For what it's worth, how do I know you're not Wolong? It's no secret there's some people here with multiple accounts.

DOGE is getting updated to 1.6 soon.

110 satoshi... This is disturbing.

DOGE has dropped so much from the high of 280. What happened?

For scrypt mining, the KH is not as important as your WU/m.  You should be within 90% of your KH ideally, but 600 kh for a 7950 is good.

You are paid based on the previous work as well, so the balance will continue to rise over the next 5 hours if any blocks are found for that coin during the period.  Go to PPLNS stats, and then details to see exactly what you have earned per hour.

I don't get why people have such high reject rates either, I have 2 setups at ~0.3-0.5% after 24 hours on this pool!  Scrypt doesn't use nearly the bandwidth of an ASIC miner.  Make sure you wait several hours before getting a reading.  Even when doing a fresh restart, some of the first few shares come out as duplicate/reject/stale.

Ah thanks. According to CGWatcher, I got 555 work utility shares/minute. I guess that's good since it's in your ~90% range.

Just joined this pool and loving it so far! However, how do I know what coin it is mining right now? I see it says "Automatic Coin: WDC" but my account balance doesn't have any WDC at all. Instead, there's MOON, LTC, DOGE, DGC, and LOT.

The pool switches coins extremely frequently.  Your earnings are updated hourly when a shift closes.  Also:  Looking at your account, you have auto convert on, and no reserve for WDC, so it's only in your account for a few minutes before being swapped out for Bitcoins.

Interesting. Thanks for your reply. Also what you just did was creepy haha, but no worries ^^

Also, is 600Kh/s for a 7950 good? My config for SGMiner is as follows:

Code:
"failover-only" : true,
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"xintensity" : "4",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"kernel" : "zuikkis",
"thread-concurrency" : "8193"

Whats your Nyan coin address? I can send a coin there and we can see if it works.

Worked now. Suddenly got 12 confirmations. I wonder what happened... Thanks for the offer!

Sent some coins to Coined Up yesterday. Still no confirmations. Anyone know what's up?

OP is Wolong. This is a copycat of Pandacoin, unless the code has been changed so that the IPO coins cannot be dumped for 90 days.

Only 140 satoshi... I think I'm going to have to sell all my DOGE before value drops even further Sad

Why would people want to buy a scam coin when the developers are gone?
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin-Adaptive N-factor Scrypt-No more ASICs-[EXCHANGES/AMAZON/ATM/MERCHANTS] on: March 07, 2014, 03:12:33 PM
Yeah, just set "nfactor": "10" or leave it out entirely for litecoin scrypt
So if I don't edit it, then it won't work with normal Scrypt mining? Because modded CGMiner can also be used to mine DOGE the last time I tried it..

There is a configuration option called nfactor, if you don't have this set in your file it will default to 10 (regular scrypt). If you want to use it for vertcoin you need to set that option in your configuration file (or on the command line) to 11.
Where do I make the changes? I just unzipped that SGMiner right now and tried pointing the miner at a Scrypt Adaptive N coin and got nothing but hardware errors.

My configuration file:

Code:
"failover-only" : true,
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"xintensity" : "111",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "8193",
"kernel": "psw",
"nfactor": "11"
nfactor : "11" tells it to mine Adaptive N scrypt.
nfactor : "10" is for regular scrypt
It seems your xintensity is way too high (it is a straight multiplier of shaders)
You may also try to change the kernel (i use ckolivas).
Follow the instructions in readmes in doc folder.
Changed xintensity to 4 and tried all the kernels. Still nothing but hardware errors.

I heard theres an SGminer for vertcoin now. I would be interested to try that. Anyone have a link for that?

github.com/veox/sgminer/tree/nfactor, but I'm assuming you want a Windows binary... At your own risk:
http://cryptojournal.blogspot.sg/2014/02/sgminer-compiled-for-windows-on.html

Nice to see my blog being quoted. I've compiled the latest version off veox's github: http://cryptojournal.blogspot.sg/2014/03/latest-sgminer-compiled-from-veox.html

Using psw kernel I'm seeing about 10 to 20 extra Kh/s Smiley.
I've been looking for a SGMiner that can do Scrypt Adaptive-N! Thanks!

I assume it works with normal Scrypt as well? I can't try it till tomorrow at the earliest..

Anyone know how to download or compile this? It's much better than Vertminer or modified CGMiner.

That's a 0.4BTC lesson in why you shouldn't have trusted a coin with premine.

It is not even a lesson ha ha. The lesson is that loss is part of game. Noone never loses in a game.

Arguably it's not a lesson because this loss wouldn't have occurred had the team been more competent in their actions.

A proper IPO doesn't release funds for 60-90 days.  How stupid was it to immediately give ipo funds to wolong for him to dump.  A man who cares about no one except growing his own 10k btc stash.  But that is in the past.  It is what it is.

Keep working on this coin.  Nobody will trust a new IPO from right now from these devs.  panda just needs services.  Gambling sites are a start.  Remember it was SR and other Agorist businesses that put btc on the map.  I don't condone SR but if bagholders want to see this rise, something like that would go a long way.  A logo doesn't move markets.  Utility value does.

It's called IPO for a reason... What they should have done is have it hardcoded into the source so that the premine coins, IPO or not, cannot be traded more than once after the first 6 months since said IPO investors were supposed to hold the coins for the first 6 months.

I'm mining the shit out of this coin and i'll be holding millions of this coin =) i won't sell till it hits 20 satoshi at least
The revamp won't affect the current coins i m holding right?

me too  Wink

AFAIK we do not have any plans to fork or reboot the actual coins. We want to do a rebrand and let people buy for cheap.

I think we feel that there are a lot of people who purchased panda at higher than the current price, so to restart we feel would make a lot of people upset.
And what about the people that lost BTC because they bought in at 85 satoshi? I have 0.4BTC sitting here as useless PANDA thanks to your team screwing things up.
