682  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: RK-BOX,450GH/S,480W ,shipping date 25th on: June 20, 2014, 07:25:41 PM
What unit is cheaper?  If S3 buy it...if not snag one of these.  If you can not figure out how to stack something like this...not sure what to tell you  Undecided

That's pretty much it, price.

If the S3 is priced decently, then the answer is clear.  If not, I'll have to take some woodshop classes for these things.   Tongue

or put them in milk crates like the ol GPU mining days, the crates are stackable
683  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, $1850 per unit, Shipping on June 26th on: June 20, 2014, 07:23:42 PM
so $1450 after a coupon is pretty good price compared to the dragon A1 clones and such
684  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [INTEREST] CoiningSolutions.com Bitmain AntMiner S3 List on: June 20, 2014, 07:12:05 PM
the thing is, if they release their official price tomorrow and adjust their website for orders I dont think alot of people here will want to wait around (myself included)

I can see 50% or more jumping ship and just buying direct

4) if the s-2 fails you are at zero hash

5) if 1 s-3 fails you are at 1th hash.
This.

The above is why I only purchased s-1's

I purchased 16 had 1 fail  had it replaced a bit too slowly and I was helped by minersource.net   for the rma not by sushi-review i purchased it from sushi-review.

I have 3 s-1's mining right now sold the other 13.  I never put any 1th machines in house.

But I am getting 1 s-3 and 1 rk-box  to compare them..     My guess is I will end  up with more s-3's then rk-boxes but I will wait and see.

I got my S2 from juan's groupbuy and I love it, super solid and runs like a champ.. I held off on getting an A1 clone from lee because I was skeptical of build quality compared to my beloved S2 lol
686  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S2 with coupon or wait for S3 on: June 20, 2014, 04:48:01 PM
I think 2 of them are a better deal then one s-2 is.   but this is a tiny bit off topic.

well maybe not, depending on price of s3, i might only be able to swing 2 of them Smiley
687  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S2 with coupon or wait for S3 on: June 20, 2014, 04:39:38 PM
mulling over the same consideration

yeah its a tough choice forsure, especially since bitmain hasnt released price on S3 yet and coupon expires today ! lol

...maybe they are doing this on purpose, waiting til coupons expire before releasing news
688  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S2 with coupon or wait for S3 on: June 20, 2014, 04:35:24 PM
Well...

S2 = 1TH/s at 1100 watts give or take.
2xS3 = 1TH/s at 800 watts give or take.

S2 with coupon is $1450
S3 is ??

S2 has integrated PSU
S3 requires separate PSU with 4xPCIe connectors (which you already have according to your post)

S2 ships 26 June
S3 ships ??

Me?  I'd wait for the newer hardware... Smiley

Yeah I just bought a seasonic 660 plat and rosewill capstone 1000w gold via slickdeals knowing i would pick up some of the newer gear
689  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S2 with coupon or wait for S3 on: June 20, 2014, 04:31:19 PM
I am not you I am not in your spot.

But If I were I would wait for the s-3 and push to buy 3 of them.

thanks for the input
690  Bitcoin / Hardware / S2 with coupon or wait for S3 on: June 20, 2014, 04:21:50 PM
my coupon expires in 12 hours

I only have about 2.5 - 3 BTC to get some more gear

should I hold off to get possibly 2-3 S3's or snag the S2 with my coupon while I can?

(I already have the PSU's needed to run 3 S3's)

Escrow is fine, I'm comfortable using PsychoticBoy

And yeah it's been a lifesaver for me for a couple years but we recently traded in the sedan for a mini van so I won't need this any more

Lowered price to .5 shipped
Come on! No minivan drag racing!?

Lol no, the swagger wagon's duties are to haul around the kiddos
692  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: s2 or dragon miner on: June 20, 2014, 05:49:21 AM
I'm in the same boat with the wife as you, go with the S2

@ waldohoover, Thanks for sticking with this. You can add me to the list for 16 and if the price is in that 1.25 range it would be more like 20.

4 PCI-e connectors wow, guess it's time to start looking for a GB on Power Supply units now or a whole lot of Splitters  Cheesy

699  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will Bitcoin's (BTC) Value be at the end of 2014? on: June 19, 2014, 07:38:41 PM
1000+ is a pipe dream at this point with all the negative press recently

I vote we stay around the 600 mark
700  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [INTEREST] CoiningSolutions.com Bitmain AntMiner S3 List on: June 19, 2014, 05:42:35 PM
I'd be up for 2 - perhaps more depending on price - time frame, etc.

If the S2's come down in price - i'd consider one of those.

Added.

Just a heads up, I spoke with Bitmain this morning and as far as pricing they will have their official numbers in a few days. I want to say by this weekend or a Monday announcement. I plan and hope to have some numbers finalized before then since pricing is still in the air. So until I hear back again we're just going off of hope for now. Smiley

so far it sounds like they are going to get their official pricing soon and open up sales on their website within a couple days (they said 3 days in the announcement)

so your thinking you'll have our group buy pricing before they release the official pricing on their website and open up sales to the public?

D'oh. I just replied to your post but you edited the whole thing. Lol.

So to clear up, yes that does sound like what they are doing. I'm trying to get us all ahead of that curve.

Correct, I'm wanting that for us but I'd run the orders through my site instead of theirs.

LOL yeah sorry, I didnt wanna come off as arrogant or sarcastic, was just trying to figure out whats going on at this point, so i edited the orig post Smiley
