681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 03, 2014, 05:57:22 PM
Here's a mind-fuck:

1) dev drops around 100k of the premine to his known friends in Iceland

2) Creates another couple hundred thousand fake wallet accounts and 'airdrops' the rest of the coins to himself

Yes.  I'm sure you believers will have every method at your disposal to verify each and every icelander received their coins and OP held to his promise, with his secret underground yellowpages phonebook database.

With every passing day, these scams just show and prove how the collective iq of the crypto community becomes progressively smaller.   A lot of you make the elderly citizens who fall for nigerian email scams look borderline genius.

And you all hide it behind the guise of 'quit h8ing bros this is the best idea ever zomg OP is the best humanitarian since warren buffet...i dunno how he'll do this impossible task but i have faith in the lord Jesus our savior!'...when in actuality, you are all nothing more than leeches looking to turn a quick dollar at the expense of those dumber than yourself.

Which essentially just means either:

a) you have the intelligence and reasoning skills of a 5 year old

or

b) you're a bagholder hoping to shill this to the very end so you don't lose your ass

In any event, congrats to those who profited in the largest scam in crypto history.  One day you'll be able to tell your grandkids about the day you made a killing off autistic prospectors when bernie madoff decided to make a fake coin to benefit a country he randomly picked out when playing Scrabble.

Sit tight, holders.

Auroracoinscam will soon to coming to a crashing hault (it's already being deemed illegal by the government), so we should be getting the mining and pricing attention we deserve soon.

I can't believe anyone buys into Auroracoin for any reason other than to dump it. It has zero qualities over BTC.

It's a huge scam to begin with, but like all things obviously scamworthy on BCT...there will be hoards that buy into it without question.  Good for them, the ones that got in early could flip for a nice profit...but now the bagholders will be the ones crying.

We shalt experience that meteoric rise very very soon...but in our case it's legit due to innovation.

I have a number of questions.

Do we have any sign of cooperation from the government of Iceland to help distribute this coin?
Is this database of every citizen of Iceland that is needed to distribute Auroracoin accessible without the permission of the government of Iceland?
If access to this database cannot be obtained, how will the coins be distributed fairly?
Even if access is obtained, how does someone prove their identity?
How do you prevent one person from claiming coins for multiple people?
Will the "airdrop" be online?
Once the "airdrop" commences, what will prevent a non-Icelandic citizen from claiming coins? IP-address checking? Could a non-citizen log in via proxy in Iceland, guess an ID number of a citizen, and claim coins, thus locking that citizen out of their claim?

The website makes vague claims about using a database to distribute the coins, but no specifics. Is there a real plan in place, or are we just hoping it all works out and everyone is honest? There is a unique number for every citizen of the USA and a database linking them (social security), but the government doesn't let everyone have access to it.

I have serious doubts about how this could be distributed fairly without the cooperation of the government, which to my knowledge, hasn't even acknowledged the existence of this coin.

Quit asking legitimate questions.

You ever see how the U.S. delivers food to impoverished tribes in Africa?

OP is simply going to hand-drop sd cards onto iceland citizen's homes via a helicopter.  One by one until he finishes in 2030.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / WTT: 303 Vertcoin for Maza, PND, or Darkcoin on: March 03, 2014, 09:11:59 AM
As title states, have a little over 303 vertcoins.  Let me know what you have, thanks.

687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Launch 02MAR14 | IPO Available on: March 03, 2014, 12:30:10 AM
LOLOLOL

So the 'dev' jumps ship without a trace, and you guys expect to still have refund recourse if the 'relaunch' fails?

Do you guys even know who has your btc?

Here's a hint: it's most likely the guy who fled the scene.

I can just picture it now:

"Police department, what is your issue?"

"Hi there, I put in an IPO investment for 7.5 bitcoins for an alt currency, which the developer promised everything would go smooth or I could file a claim with the local police department."

"7.5 what?"

"Bitcoins...virtual currency."

*dialtone*

"Hello?Huh??"

688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PND] The Official PandaCoin thread! [Scrypt][KGW][NO PREMINE] on: March 02, 2014, 12:55:05 AM
I'm gathering more funds at this point.

Sold@4 satoshis yesterday, and will be buying in HARD when/if it hits 2 satoshis.

1 satoshi? I'm selling everything I have and hoarding.  There are MUCH shittier alts out there with zero community that have a higher price.

The people that are smart enough to hold for another few weeks will be greatly rewarded.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin (DarkSend) | No Premine | Runs 30% cooler than scrypt on: March 02, 2014, 12:51:34 AM
Manage to MINE 11 DRK again but NET HASH is 7.7GH/s and Reward reduced 21 DRK per block.

I'm shall NOT SELL this DRK until it is $5 per DRK.

Certainly WAY undervalued at this point.  When the market catches up, this will get interesting.

Vert is 2x as much and still lagging a bit behind in development (and I own vert myself).

I think top 10 is very feasible.

When exactly is darksend being publicly released in full working mode?

This coin has definitely sparked my interest!

Any generous darkcoin'ers care to help a newbie on his feet?  Would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Mintpal: the gift and the curse.

Mint has been killing new coins for the past few weeks...but I have no doubt we will see the promise land eventually.

Majority of the alts seem to be trading down today, so don't get discouraged guys, and stay the course.  Patience reaps great rewards.  (mint took almost 5 weeks to explode out of its sideways trading)

Mint was released 3 weeks ago, February 5.^^

Well damn, time sure flies! lol...but yeah...it was trading for 4-5 satoshis since it's release up until the epic pump. Just wanted to make sure everyone here was realistic in their first day expectations.  Rome wasn't built overnight Smiley

I was just playing in the mintpal exchange getting another 30k black.... there was a lot of numbers bouncing around without much support at any level, it was confusing and reeked of manipulation

90 percent of the activity (or more) on mintpal are all margin bots.  Put in a sell order at the top asking price, that sell wall is fullfilled and instantaneously all lower sell orders are pulled back and the price drops another 3 percent in the blink of an eye while the purchase orders pull back proportionally.

Anyone selling now to the whales will get killed.  Anyways, I purchased a few and will be holding for when the market stabilizes....obviously a whale fest going on right now with short margin calls.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: February 28, 2014, 08:58:29 PM

What accountability is there that this will happen as he says?

Absolutely zero.

Which is the beauty of bitcoins and alts.  You can be an anonymous troll on the interwebs and offer the blind sheeple a mansion on the hill, and there will still be hoards of people dumb enough to buy into it.  All without so much as even letting them know your first name.  And the people will even buy into the cult mentality so hard that they vehemently defend the OP and his intentions without even knowing a single thing about him.

Just when I think I've seen people dumb enough to fall for the most transparent ipo schemes in history, something new comes along on this forum the next day that makes me remember that nothing is beyond the realm of disbelief.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: February 28, 2014, 08:52:18 PM
The idea sounds great, but and an OP with 32 posts holding 50 million coins saying don't worry I'll make sure everyone in the country gets some.

This is going to be the biggest dev heist in altcoin history.  Suckers born every day, but to think that you guys are actually falling for an 'anonymous' country distribution charity scheme is....absolutely beyond me.

He's sitting on over $6x million dollars free and clear thanks to you tards.

You really think he'll get that 10m onto an exchange before everybody panic sells and the price drops to 0 because he moved it? lol

Who's to say he's dumping it all at once?

This is purely a 'blind sheeple' experiment where he's asking a bunch of lemmings to put faith into an anonymous investor honeypot all on the hopes a faceless guy on the internet has all intentions of being a philanthropic saint.

AHAHAHAHAA. Man, the investors/miners in the alt industry never cease to amaze me.  No wonder scams from mt gox on down are so damn successful.  You guys will believe absolutely anything.

brb making Zombobewecoin, cuz you know...I just wanna help 'em out.

By tomorrow afternoon.

Does anyone want to be a doll and sell me some more pandas at 5 satoshi?  I'd love you eternally!

He's saying goodbye to wolong!

ilol'd

good effort, sir Smiley

That 6 satoshi wall on swisscex will not last tomorrow.  The trade volume is insane for such a small exchange.

The cat is officially out the bag, folks.  Brace for lunar impact!
