681  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: This is a reliability thread may not keep it open long. on: January 14, 2019, 09:58:19 PM
Didn't you mention you had an issue with your T2 a while back? Or was everything fine?
682  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [0PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: January 14, 2019, 09:52:02 PM
I would order one by one and sent to residential address. Pango's btc rate is usually decent and philipma is correct with duties would be about $1.1k. We're able to run duty free on these for about $1k after our service fee, so it's a wash IMO or maybe if you're ordering multiples it would add up of course. Our shipping rates will only get better with more volume so hopefully in future.

I had to shut down my small farm, but trying to get some direct service or will have to mine with an off peak rate to keep derp up but still might be looking at $0.07-8 kwh after fees, taxes and whatnot.
683  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Now that usb sticks are being sold by sidehack here is a new usb hub thread. on: January 12, 2019, 04:41:45 PM
That build flares up my OCD but still enjoyable.
684  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) WhatsMiner M10 33.0 Th/s, 2145W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: January 12, 2019, 04:40:18 PM
Well I'm pumped. I have 2 of the 31 TH models confirmed on order, I guess shipping out early next week.

I'm hoping I have these before I leave town for a bit, anyone know how long their shipping was from Pangolin to North America?

Side note while asking questions about the 2 models I was told this was the reason for the different hashrate. It was just the different chip batches they had ordered that resulted in the improvements.

DHL is always 3 days express, you'll know more obviously when tracking is sent. Watch for duties with a unit count of 2 since the package will be above de minimus value.
685  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac Stickminer Official Support Thread on: January 12, 2019, 04:35:33 PM
All my sticks run off my older laptop in my home office powered by my desktop PSU. I have two hubs running 3 newpac, and 6 2pacs. Pretty quiet with corsair fans https://www.corsair.com/us/en/LED-Color/Fan-Size/Package-Quantity/ml-config/p/CO-9050044-WW. Their overclocked but I'm not at the point were I'd worry about fire but the extinguisher is handy here as well. A couple 2pac still zombie on me which I haven't been great at checking them that often, newpac have had zero issues outside not being able to use asic boost through a hub.

How long you have on that UPS on power loss? Love the fan speed on the 741 too.

Feel like I'm on philips boat here, 921 doesn't seem to compete in th/w. They are obviously well built products with a good reputation.

Box is decent, I wouldn't want to do that though. Then I've sound proofed my home interior wall, door and frame. All I'm worried about is when the wife is new the machines. That's a bigger headache for me than fan noise.

Thanks for the reads philip.
688  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) WhatsMiner M10 33.0 Th/s, 2145W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: January 10, 2019, 04:10:37 PM
Thanks for the info. Just being a curious Canadian checking how things have been collected.

Not sure you guys can help me out to much up here.

Regardless think I've made my mind up. No more distractions or I might miss out.

We'll i'll bring up researching duties for again for Canadian buyers. I think we had started to but with the tariffs here in the US that hit this summer we've focused on that. Specifically trying to get sidehacks new chips exempted.

I think our Canadian buyers have double though in the last month, I know a Canadian footprint is part of our five year plan (thanks to gcnelson here) but still dependent on continued activity and interest.

Back to the M10 though no db read? If it's relatively similar to the 100% fan speed s9 it might be my first upgrade in almost a year.
689  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [0PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: January 10, 2019, 03:59:07 PM
And Pangolinminer sells used 11T M3s for $50...
That price for that hashrate is truly astounding, irrespective of what its efficiency is. Do you know when I got one of the first 60Gh Avalon miners, the official price was 75BTC?

Nuts to think about, at least it lasted longer than a pizza.
690  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: January 10, 2019, 03:56:14 PM
Looks like it's making friends already.

That and not even a video demo or a picture that isn't rendered.

Phil do these get hit with the tarrifs in the US?

I almost pulled the trigger but I'm trying to see if I can wrangle a great deal on the something else by finding a coupon.

Our rep will provide duty free shipments under the de minimus value. Though till our volume increases our rate is much higher for shipping.
693  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [0PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: January 10, 2019, 02:09:36 AM
You will, eventually. CPU's and GPU's will take much longer. S9's are cheap, gekko science has their newpac usb stick. So there are cost friendly options for hobbyists. I still mine with my gpu but won't go into much more detail on ck's thread as they mine altcoins to trade for BTC.
694  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: January 09, 2019, 11:18:10 PM
Decent Bitmain price drop ftw.
695  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: which s9i firmware is best? on: January 09, 2019, 05:16:48 AM
I was able to get a 14th s9i down to 1150-1160w as well. S9 is pretty viable still with cheap power, just wish I had some. My fiat reserve is about up and I'll have to shutdown unless a market rise to supplement, which I don't expect soon. I'm about $0.115 power and very happy I've lasted this long as very small miner though 2018 to now. I'd say I'm proud but wish I'm able to endure while I have cool of winter here.
696  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 40TH/80TH new Miners??? Swiss Miner on: January 09, 2019, 05:03:54 AM
'some extent' LOL

It was blatantly obvious before, but if you wanna go sell lingerie for thousands of dollars to miners on your web site - go ahead Tongue

I didn't want to make hopefuls feel to bad for feeling gullible. My wife needs more lingerie though.
697  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: January 09, 2019, 05:01:21 AM
Great share sarcheer, more flex with the T15, S15 if you have active cooling or less than moderate temps.

Based on information available S15 and T15 in eco mode are very close in spec.
698  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: January 08, 2019, 03:41:35 PM
Looks like middle boards are hot. Dead zone for cooling with two fans possibly?

I don't have one but I imagine the fans blow in? If so, maybe the middle needs a small case fan pulling at the back for short term till you dial in the machine for your racks/farm.

Start a support section thread if needed.
699  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My "mini" mining farm on: January 08, 2019, 11:53:45 AM
Just remount the gable to some plywood that fits over the entire open area, cut out of course for the fan. Essentially your removal will be more efficient.
700  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 40TH/80TH new Miners??? Swiss Miner on: January 08, 2019, 11:44:15 AM
A bit of difference between asking for demo's and sending funds. Still agree to some extent that there's no reason to contact this "company".
