681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEED] SeedCoin | Buy/Mine SEED & Grow Coinbase | MANDATORY WALLET UPDATE on: October 07, 2014, 03:07:26 AM
Yes. But people with more coins will have a significant advantage, and during the latest round of testing it became clear that that advantage becomes more pronounced as the week progresses. The more coins you have, the more weight you have, the more weight you have, well... weight in staking is basically your hashrate. So the more you have, the easier it will be.

With that said, people with small numbers of coins ( on the order of .01 ) will be able to stake, it will just be very very difficult to do so.

The answer is to buy MOAR coins.

I had some btc on Coinbase I copy paste address in send and the address that I copy sent for a exchange I don't remember now I use this btc address I think for poloniex in march 2014 than they stopped old btc address after some1 hack their system now that I sent on that address which is not valid anymore
Bitcoin I sent are lost in blockchain unspent.

If they still have backups of the old wallet, you may be able to ask them about it and recover your coins. You should do this in a private chat so the hacker doesn't see that there could be coins available.

No github?

Look at the OP, click on the penguin Wink

Never would have guessed.

The icon for github is a cat. A penguin is linux.

That's the kind of mistake my grandma makes.

I'm writing an article about this coin. Can someone sum up very briefly all the innovations this coin has going for it? If not I can't guarantee I wont miss anything. Thanks!

1. First innovation: *functioning* Tor + PoW/PoS delivered on launch (I think some other coin tried, but it went belly up)
2. First anon SMS transactions (stealthtext)
3. Tor + PoS + stealth addresses -- but sonic (SSD) had this combo first

You should note that the sonic and stealth devs collaborate closely.

Still I have two files left, should I install both before 8th October.

(StealthRelaxy and Stealth-coin Deamon windows 1.2.0.2)

The dev said that the new daemons will be out today.

My wallet on bittrex shows this ---> Wallet offline - upgrading! do i have to worry?^^

It looks like your wallet is offline because they are upgrading.

Congrats to all who took profits!  Smiley

When? No one has sold anything.

Likewise I would question whether JackpotCoin or Max Coin are worthwhile. At all.

They aren't.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - 1st TOR with functional anon send - Steganography based Anon App on: October 06, 2014, 04:15:55 AM
you know another coin with a mobile app for steganography
Through this app, you can send coins anonymously by sms, hidden in a pic.
If the message was intercepted, the only thing that will appear for NSA, is that a photo has been submitted
yeah, like a computer scientist isn't gonna notice the abnormal patterns in the image file.

They aren't.

[edit]

Oh, crap. I forgot, I'm buying.

Umm. Yeah, the fud is spot on. The computer nerdz are gonna see it.

Time to dump.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - 1st TOR with functional anon send - Steganography based Anon App on: October 05, 2014, 05:32:48 PM
oh crap the dev didnt reply to you last post. looks like he is MIA time to dump Cheesy

If you would be so kind.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - 1st TOR with functional anon send - Steganography based Anon App on: October 05, 2014, 08:27:27 AM
1. We need a new wallet with SONIC branding and graphics, then get Bittrex to change the name to SONIC.

2. We need to get added on MintPal, if they ever finish migration & bring it back up.

3. Get CryptoAsian to change the POD from SonicScrewdriver to SONIC.

Take your time dev. No one is selling. I've got buy orders to fill. I may have to start fudding.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthText, World's first anonymous SMS Tx! on: October 04, 2014, 11:21:29 PM
For the record, the new wallet is working flawlessly. I can't understand why any exchange would have an issue with it. It took me less than 5 minutes to set up.

The problem is they can't figure out how to build the linux daemon--not qt, not windows. Linux daemon. That's the easiest wallet to build. It has nothing to do with the code. They can't figure out how to configure their own computers to build like a normal pro should.

694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthText, World's first anonymous SMS Tx! on: October 04, 2014, 08:56:41 PM
https://www.litebit.eu/coin/xst/en/ why is the price dropping?

It's been sitting at a solid floor at 10k, even with major dumping. It has been pumped a couple of times and each time has came back to the same floor.

So I'd say the price isn't really dropping. Now bitcoin on the otherhand...

The dev compiled wallets for linux, os x, and windows last night. Mintpal looks incompetent.

If it compiles on one computer, doesn't mean it will on another.

How many computers do you think you need to have to compile for 3 different platforms.

#mintpalincompetence

Hondo = badass

Cross-compiles for mac, windows, and linux. Holy shit.

Mintpal to launch in 25 minutes BUT problem with Stealthcoin

"jrwr is stealthcoin good to go when open?

@jrwr no, Never got the damn thing to compile right, emails to devs have gone unanswered. the LINKER flat out segfaults . "

From #Mintpal IRC

The dev produced compiled wallets for linux, os x, and windows last night. Mintpal looks incompetent.

Offer Hondo a job and fire the loser you have. #mintpalincompetence

look like sonic is slipping back to the coma again, any significant new/update or add-on to the roadmap anytime soon?

Soon for jokers like you is 3 hours. The last update was a couple of days ago.

698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthText, World's first anonymous SMS Tx! on: October 02, 2014, 09:23:55 PM
I'm not going to buy vapor concepts. Hondo has cited literature that outlines the theory behind his plans. The post above doesn't address theory at all. So my money wouldn't chase it. You can bet with yours. I like sure things.
*cough* https://eprint.iacr.org/2013/879.pdf *cough*

Second hit on google for "zk-snark". I just went over that paper for the second time. zk-Snarks are an interesting idea, but how are they going to be used to prove ownership of one of the escrowed outputs? Where's the theoretical tie-in? It's not there. So the concept is still a vapor concept.

These are the same points I brought up on the SDC thread. Except here, no one is going to delete my posts.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthText, World's first anonymous SMS Tx! on: October 02, 2014, 08:40:12 PM
Coins are removed from circulation, effectively placed in escrow when they are placed in an anonymous output.
We need to prove that we redeemed an output, without revealing which output was redeemed and a redeem transaction would look like a coinbase.
The redeem transaction destroys one of the anonymous outputs but it is not possible to know which one was destroyed.
It won't be possible to use the same output twice, as it would require a secret key which becomes known to everyone when the output is redeemed.
The zk-proof proves the secret key is linked to an output in the set, but only the redeemer knows which one. -SDCDev
No one on the shadow thread posted this. I gave them plenty of opportunity. It's an insufficient description, but a lot better than I got on the shadow thread. It looks like the idea is to use zk-proofs to circumvent public key cryptography. I'll find out if this is something that has shown up in the literature as the theory should be in place before the application. If the shadow dev had a citation to this effect somewhere on the OP, then we might be talking.
or you could just wait about 15 days when ZK is implemented in shadow   Grin  Thus leaving your tech that wont be out till November outdated and obsolete... but its ok when ZK is opensourced Hondo can copy and paste that
