Hi everybody!

As previously mentioned, our 1-click GUI miner currently supports CPU mining and GPU mining with Nvidia cards. AMD cards will be also supported in our updated GUI miner that will be released this week.

Until then, you can mine on our pool with AMD graphic cards, using ethminer.

Here are the detailed instructions:

Instructions for Ethereum mining with Ethminer on the MinerGate pool:

To connect to MinerGate pool and start mining Ethereum with console miner, follow the instructions below. Please note that currently we support official Ethereum client Ethminer.

If you don't find a suitable miner for your OS, please check for other Ethereum binary releases here.

Windows (win 64):

1. Download the latest Ethminer: https://build.ethereum.org/cpp-binaries-data/release-1.2.2/Ethereum.exe
2. Open cmd.exe

By default, you will see the following:
Quote
C:\Users\username

3. Enter the Ethereum folder. If you did not specify an alternative directory for Ethereum while installing Ethminer, just enter the following:
Quote
C:\Users\username > cd C:\Program Files\Ethereum

4. Once you are in the Ethereum directory, run Ethminer.exe with the following commands:

For CPU mining:
Quote
Ethminer.exe -C -F http://eth.pool.minergate.com:55751/YOUR_EMAIL --disable-submit-hashrate

For GPU mining:
Quote
Ethminer.exe -G -F http://eth.pool.minergate.com:55751/YOUR_EMAIL --disable-submit-hashrate

The DAG file will be generated. It will probably take a few minutes.
You will start mining, once the DAG file is generated.

To stop mining, enter:
Quote
Ctrl + C

MacOS X

1. Install the Homebrew package manager: http://brew.sh/
2. After the installation, execute the following commands in the Terminal:
Quote
brew update
brew upgrade
brew tap ethereum/ethereum
brew install cpp-ethereum
brew linkapps cpp-ethereum

3. After the installation, execute the following commands to start mining:

For CPU mining:
Quote
ethminer -C -F http://eth.pool.minergate.com:55751/YOUR_EMAIL --disable-submit-hashrate

For GPU mining:
Quote
ethminer -G -F http://eth.pool.minergate.com:55751/YOUR_EMAIL --disable-submit-hashrate

The DAG file will be generated. It will probably take a few minutes.
You will start mining, once the DAG file is generated.

To stop mining, enter:
Quote
Cmd+C

Ununtu (14.04 and higher)

1. Install Ethminer, using the following instructions in the Terminal:
Quote
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ethereum/ethereum-qt
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ethereum/ethereum
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ethminer

2. Once the application is installed, execute the following commands to start mining:

For CPU mining:
Quote
ethminer -C -F http://eth.pool.minergate.com:55751/YOUR_EMAIL --disable-submit-hashrate

For GPU mining:
Quote
ethminer -G -F http://eth.pool.minergate.com:55751/YOUR_EMAIL --disable-submit-hashrate

The DAG file will be generated. It will probably take a few minutes.
You will start mining, once the DAG file is generated.

To stop mining, enter:

Just saw the eth miner. How long on average does it take to find a block or earn eth?

Hi there!

Sorry for the late reply.

The pool hashrate is constantly changing, so I advise you to use our calculator to figure out the current efficiency of the pool (as well as the efficiency of your hardware): https://minergate.com/calculator/ethereum

Pool stats (Eth): https://minergate.com/pool-stats/eth

You can always contact our support team, should you have any other questions: https://minergate.com/support

"GPU Mining Not Available" on v6.0

Running an R9 280x PowerColor, installed latest drivers.

GPU mining is not available in the GUI miner. But it will be released in early summer.

Until then, you can mine with AMD video cards on our pool, using ethminer and this command:
Quote
ethminer -G -F http://eth.pool.minergate.com:55751/YOUR_EMAIL --disable-submit-hashrate
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Minergate vs Nicehash on: May 12, 2016, 03:14:38 PM
NiceHash, you always get paid in BTC

nicehash is better autoconversion and plenty of coin there less limited, also profit is higher because they control more hash, still it's better to mine etheruem

I'd like to mention that MinerGate is not just a service, where users can mine cryptocurrencies in order to exchange them for bitcoins. What we are focused on is driving the further adoption of cryptocurrencies by providing an easy-to-use service and software that can be used by anyone who has a computer. That's why we developed a GUI miner and implemented variable difficulty for effective CPU-mining.

That said, you can easily exchange the mined coins for a bunch of other coins (including btc), using an instant exchange https://changelly.com. You can even send an invoice to your MinerGate account: https://changelly.com/blog/introducing-invoices/

As for the hash rate, well, yes, we didn't manage to capture the entire Ethereum network on the third day after release. Please give us more time Smiley

686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MinerGate released v.6.0 miner, featuring Ethereum mining on: May 12, 2016, 01:28:26 PM
Hi Joblo!

The description of their service is vague and their response to my specific questions were evasive. I'm not going to sign up to any service that
isn't up front about what they provide. I still don't know what services they provide.

In a nutshell, we provide is a multi-currency pool and a GUI miner. Our aim is to make cryptocurrency mining easy for anyone, who has an ordinary PC.

We're sorry to hear that you didn't get proper support in the past. Please contact us here: https://minergate.com/support. We'll be glad to answer your questions.

They also promote their own mining software without any info about it and no source code available.

Our source code is not available, because we provide proprietary software. And our 100,000+ users are absolutely fine with that Smiley

They control both the miner and the pool so there is no way to independantly verify the accuracy of the
stats.

There's one simple way to do that: just run our miner and pool, and figure out the stats.

Cheers!

Hello,

Etherum mining is not working both in the application and from ethereum console:

Quote
miner  15:14:32.340|main  Getting work package...
JSON-RPC problem. Probably couldn't connect. Retrying in 1...

Anybody experiencing the same problem?

Regards.

Hi there!

Thank you for your report.

We need more details to help you. Please answer the following questions:

1. Are you using ethminer?
2. What OS are you running?
3. Which processor and video card do you have?
4. Are you trying to connect to the pool, using the settings we've provided (https://minergate.com/faq/how-to-mine-eth-with-console) ?

It would be the best if you could submit your request and the above-mentioned info here: https://minergate.com/support

Thank you in advance!

Estou tentando tirar um montante da minergate com um endereço dash só que o site diz que não é valido o endereço. Peguei ele no BLEUTRADE alguem consegue me ajudar?

Hello! I represent MinerGate, so if I tell you that we are not a scam, this won't probably help) Instead, I can help you with your Dashcoin withdrawal.
The address you have in the picture is for another currency called Dash. Its address starts with an 'x'.
The coin that we have on MinerGate is Dashcoin (DSH), we have a link to the official website and wallet in our help section: https://minergate.com/faq/how-to-create-dashcoin-wallet
Dashcoin address should start with a 'd'.
Ask us anything, we want miners to make profit, not be a part of some scam  Wink
693  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Changelly.com legit service ? on: April 13, 2016, 07:15:16 PM
I've used it last month for a Dogecoin to BTCitcoin exchange and the whole process was fast and the interface from each step (like payment sent, transaction confirmed and etc...) is very nice and it updates in real time. Overall was around 30ish minutes for the exchange. Minergate is the owner of Changelly now, so it's legit since I never had withdrawal issues with them (when using minergate).

Alright , thank for your review dude .
I was really planning to open scam accusation against Cointelegraph if it appeared that Changelly is another scam .

Hello! I am a member of MinerGate team. Just wanted to say that, indeed, we mean that those 90k clients are mostly the clients of MinerGate, but many of them use Changelly as well.
Changelly came out of beta yesterday, but we have been operating for about 6 months now. Ask me anything if you want)

I see . I just want to know if we have to do any kind of verification's ? or we can simply make an account using an email & password ? I'm using Bitcoin because I care about my privacy so I don't want to use something that compromise that .

You can just use your email, we included social services only as an alternative method of login. No verification is needed for our service and we have a strict privacy policy. We cherish anonymity too, it's an important part of crypto world and the whole decentralization idea.

You can try Changelly as well, it is the closest one to Shapeshift. Exchanges can be complicated/

I recently came to know that https://changelly.com/ is also in operation of altcoin exhange like shapeshift but i haven't tried them personally as i used to use only shapeshift before. You can try changelly with small amount at first.

Seems the next most legitimate replacement for ShapeShift. Anyone knows of this MinerGate team?

Too bad for that hack. Let's hope ShapeShift does get back again.

Hello, I am from MinerGate team) We are a mining pool operating since 2014. Changelly is our second project, we will be glad to welcome everybody there. Please ask in case of any questions!
