Try lowering your intensity to 512. Hashrate seems ok now doesn't it? you can add those temperature flags to your config, but turn off afterburner when you do. It has no point with both programs trying to set fan speed.

can anyone help me with a config file for sgminer. i want to add a failover pool i dont know how to make the config tried but get errors/not wokring config
at the moment i have this
{
"pools" : [ { "name" : "DASH p2pool", "url" : "stratum+tcp://xxx:7903", "user" : "xxx", "pass" : "x", "algorithm" : "x11mod", "nfactor" : "10", "xintensity" : "1024", "worksize" : "64", "gpu-threads" : "1", "gpu-fan" : "auto", "temp-target" : "65", "temp-cutoff" : "80", "temp-overheat" : "78" } ], "keccak-unroll" : "0", "hamsi-expand-big" : "4", "lookup-gap" : "2", "log-show-date" : true, "debug-log" : true, "failover-only" : true, "failover-switch-delay" : "300", "queue" : "0", "api-listen" : "true", "api-port" : "4028", "api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1"
}
Check your pm i had a very busy few days, no time to respond. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

You can also ROI with old 280x cards. They are cheap and powerful. For the new Fury cards, you will not ROI.
You can foresee the future i guess? Tell me where to get me one of those magic bowls. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

When did GPU mining become profitable again? About a year ago I sold my GPUs to get Antminers and now it seems I should sell my Antminers and get GPUs again.
I quit because I had a bunch of 280X and only made like $2 per day, now with the same amount of cards I can make $10.
Yeah, lots of people sold their GPU's because they weren't making enough profit anymore. I had a chance of buying a 280x farm back then, but i decided not to do it. Now i wish i did :p However, i still have 95% of my GPU's from when i started GPU mining (a little over 2 years ago.), and i'm happy i still have them! Also, it seems that the good days aren't over yet. New and interesting coins are peeking from behind the corner ready to be GPU-mined :p + it's more fun as well. Antminer just sit there, you can't do anything with them except change pool.

Take my config i gave you there, run it. "add your BTC address where the user is." run it from inside the sgminer 5-1-0 folder.
Do not change anything about it except maybe the platform thing.
Leave the url and so as it is.
And than run it. Let me know how it went.
Greetings

sgminer-5-1-0-optimized give me 3mhs sgminer-5-1-1-optimized give me 3mhs sgminer-5-2-1-general give me 5.4mhs - darkcoind-mod with sgminer.exe -k darkcoin --gpu-platform 1 -d 0 -w 128 -I 18 -g 4 -l 1 --thread-concurrency 32768 --temp-target 80 --temp-cutoff 95 --temp-overheat 92 -o stratum+tcp://cheadle.ddns.net:7903 -u XqvYrZayeDEQq38kNbLeC8S4GmcrY9GvhS -p x
stock sgminer-v5.2.1 give me 5.4mhs with x11mod
i cant to benchmak with NiceHashMiner_v1.2.3.1 the test gets terminated after a while
Ok, sgminer-5-1-0 is the one you want to go for. create a config file "sgminer.conf" and insert this {
"pools" : [ { "name" : "NiceHash_X11_Fixed", "url" : "stratum+tcp://x11.eu.nicehash.com:3336", "user" : "enter btc address here", "pass" : "x", "algorithm" : "x11mod", "nfactor" : "10", "xintensity" : "1024", "worksize" : "64", "gpu-threads" : "1" } ], "keccak-unroll" : "0", "hamsi-expand-big" : "4", "lookup-gap" : "2", "log-show-date" : true, "debug-log" : false, "failover-only" : true, "failover-switch-delay" : "300", "queue" : "0", "api-listen" : "true", "api-port" : "4028", "api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1"
} Than create a .bat file: X11.bat for example with this setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer.exe -c sgminer.conf And run it. Should work.

Hi. just got my new gpu Saphire R9 390X Nitro 8GB
got sgminer to work with X11 with this settings: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer.exe -k x11mod --gpu-platform 1 -d 0 -w 128 -I 18 -g 4 -l 1 --thread-concurrency 8193 --auto-fan -o stratum+tcp://x:7903 -u xx -p x
i get about 5.35MH/s is that OK ? useing: sgminer-v5.2.1 for x11 not sure these settings are optimal for my card.
and is skein "digibyte" only for NVIDIA ?
You should get at least 3x the speed you're getting now. Get the nice hash version if you're on windows. Open the bin folder and choose the first sgminer folder in there. Run that. Good luck!

Is there a way to confirm that submitted hashrates are real? I mean, one user (alevlaslo) submitted results for a R9 390 - 38.84 MH/s!
I see that you have a "comment" box in "More info" tab, but is inactive. Maybe you should make it active so we can discuss there about the results posted.
Also, maybe you can add another field with print screen?
Thanks!
Hey Crsminer, thank you for posting. You're right. That is a bit over it. At this time i'm just relying on those who submit. There is an option to post a screenshot. But nobody does ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) . I'm working with someone on something new to add. So that the inputs cannot be wrong. I'll explain this later. That comment box is broken somehow. it "use" to work :p I need to get into that asap. Thx for letting me know! I'll post back when it's fixed (was wondering why no one posted any comments.. that explains :p) Fixed it ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Yeah it seems to be a lot better than the others though. More info. More Accurate.
I'm thinking about implementing it into my comparison website.
That is if you don't mind of course?
Let me know if that's ok for you.
Greetings!
Sure that's fine, just have a link to the original on the page ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Will definitely do! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

thx for your ofer ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) it depends on the price it has to be at the same price normaly better otherwise i would buy directly its much safer no risks with offline rented rigs etc no wait just the coins... i tryed the rigs.online service more than a test but this failed in my eyes cause they dont offer what they advertise (scam) not all rigs i tested there was bad or slow but the 2 big ones was to slow or offline this is in acceptable for me is there an other service wich provide dagger hashing ?? sry 4 bad english hehe ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) No i don't think so. There are other renting sites like miningrigrentals.com and a few others i believe. But they don't offer Dagger/Hashimoto (for so far that i know of). No worries, English isn't my native language either. Good luck further!

My rigs have been up for months without any issues. :-) Or if you prefer, i'll create an account at rigs.online. So is the cuda 7.5 miners up to par with the 6.5 releases? I've stuck with the last 6.5 release, is it time to upgrade ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Also dumb question maybe, but what was the advantage of moving to 7.5? Next step in summer to Pascal! That will probably be the beginning of 2017. Like always..

Can you somewhat make UI denser? There are the old MYR comparisons around... I hope this time gathering the information is successful, it would be about time this data is found and made coherent!
Hey Max Don't exactly know what you mean by making the user interface denser. Could you explain what you mean by that? Or could you get on irc perhaps? freenode #mininghwcomparison Thx ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Edit: Ok, i think i know what you mean, you have to click around to much to get to the data you want/need. Been thinking about that, on how to make it more user friendly. Will try some things out. Thx for your comment! Really appreciate it!

Hey atp, #mininghwcomparison on freenode. had a very busy few days, noticed some bugs here and there that i need to fix. Menu is a little screwy as well. Everyone's welcome with questions/remarks or for a chit chat ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Ok i got it ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) So it is one way --> Windows system with msi afterburner or similar ... Thanks for your time Eliovp ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Of course not - I flash my GPUs to different voltages all the time... Not only yours ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) But it isn't possible like it is with afterburner. You would indeed need to flash them.

Hi guys,
I decided to upgrade my 7950's to 280x's but I'm having a mare with AMD drivers.
Also I can't remember the relationship between driver and SDK.
What driver and SDK should I install on Windows 8.1 ?
Many thanks
Lee
Newest version of both will work fine ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

For those interested in the OS issue, I just booted off a Win 8.1 x64 drive, same rig, same settings, hash went from previous 720 kH/s (Win 10 x64) to 837 kH/s. Using ccminer-djm34-neoscrypt-65.
Now try Windows 10 Pro 64Bit. I believe you will go even faster. I did ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) from the discussion we had on irc, I understood you were running only amd cards ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) from my experience but that was right after the launch of win 10 (first install 2 or 3 days after the official win10 launch; second and last, was a month later with the release of new nvidia drivers) the performance on lyra and neoscrypt was rather bad (and gaming was laggy as well) and I preferred to go back to win 8.1. Might try again (in principle you can revert during the first month... ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) so far I reverted after 4 or 5 hours each time...). However there is a cuda win10 version, I never tried it, so may-be it requires to recompile with it (?), so if someone has win10 and knows to compile, he can try that: download the cuda win10 edition and recompile with it and see what will happen. True true. Was mainly referring to the fact that mining in general went a bit faster when i switched to win10. I assumed that would have been the same for Nvidia based cards. But that seems not to be true. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
