Trolling is a fact of life on these forums. But starting witch hunts reflects poorly on all of us.
Effective trolling will raise an issue that people are genuinely concerned about, in such a way as to provoke a defensive emotional response. If I feel someone is subtly trolling in this way, I find the most effective response is to offer a polite, reasoned argument that addresses the raised concerns. This approach is beneficial to any onlooker who shares those concerns, it avoids playing into the hands of the suspected troll. It also avoids needless accusations, which is especially important if my suspicions are wrong and the person is just raising a genuine concern.
When you have politely answered and they keep coming with the same "question" on purpose what do you do ? Because that's what they do, they create a false issue and repeat it till it's "true". The logic for dealing with trolls remains the same whether they are raising a question for the first time or the nth time: If you flame them, you lose. Every time a troll is answered with patient educated responses, they lose. Trolls lose interest if they don't get the right reaction -- in fact it works against their agenda if the community shows consistently mature responses that directly address the issues raised. On the other hand, they'll be sure to stick around if they know they're ruffling feathers. We use the generic term "troll" but they are not the common trolls just wanting to annoy people for the fun of it. Most of them here have an agenda, they are motivated more or less directly by money. Therefore, they don't lose interest. |

Great post this. The issue is that people often overcorrect for trolls. If one were secure, the opposite of trolling would be the truth. But instead, we have a bunch of people cheerlead with blind faith. I've a long time supporter of drk. I wrote a webapp for it months ago to support it ( http://darksend.it). I haven't sold, I've held. I will be putting up more than a handful of masternodes. All these "trolls" you guys are witch hunting, they have made good points these past few days, which you guys ignore because you're so defensive.[...] I'd like to think of myself as not defensive.. just dismissive since you clearly are utterly clueless. And maybe I say that cause I know more than you on the topic and it would take too much time to reteach you the holes in your statements. Reread the whole thread and all of these topics have been covered over and over. +1  Those points have been answered over and over the past months. Has anyone setup a Masternode on OHV? I'd like to host mine out of Canada but AWS doesn't have that option. Also trying to do my part and spread out other than Amazon.

For me, that's a small fortune, LOL, I'm sure you all are laughing, but it is.... actually, I think I'm gonna be sick, LOL... Don't feel so bad. I had 150 Darkcoins, reformatted my computer forgetting to backup my wallet. After seeing the price at $6, sucks! |

I failed myself Suicide watch. srs not srs srs? I set up a friend to mine Darkcoin at the beginning of february on amazon ec2, his target was 0.01, I told him move the target you're gonna get crushed in a few days. He's still very happy but we shot way past 0.01. He turned $100 to close to over $2500 though, good on him. Anyways don't kill yourself. Buy back for part of your BTC and don't touch it again for a month. The problem right now is that i want to day trade hardcore until i get my darks back to where it was and i know that will fk me even harder. Too much wtf and too many shots right now feeling good but in think in 15min ill be quite dizzy. Is this going up or down... thats the question Like a gambler you want to recoup your losses by playing more. That's not a good strategy, you may lose more instead. |

still a good chance to 10x your money and more in the medium term if you buy in now. I needed 194 more darks and i paniced cuz i only had 10 btc chilling. Took out my 60 worth of darks from wallet and sold thinking i could buy later cheaper. Boy was i ever wrong Im chilling right now cringing. I think im gonna get hammered and pass out It seems that you often panic sell. Like a poet said "Don't dump that dark dark dark ♫ Don't dump that dark dark dark ♫"  I panic like a little schoolgirl and ive been getting fucked these past 2 pumps lol But what's the trigger ? Not trolling, I want every crypto to succeed the world over. But a word of advice from someone who cashed out at the right time with blackcoin.
If you have debts (credit card etc), and you are in a pump-euphoria I urge you to think about sorting your debts out, and buy back in with what is leftover. A lot of my life problems are solved and I'm so grateful I didn't get dumped on like so many others.
Otherwise, good luck hope you get your house and lambos.
YAaaaay I Was one of those guys who had 10$ dollar at some point with Blackcoin and that was ALOT OF MONEY for me. And I sat the dump out all the way to 20k. But I learned SOOOOO MUCH from it. Even today. I saw it go up sooo fast and I thought. OMG OMG its going to 0.02 yea yea yea! But for some reason I decided to think again. And sell at 160 and be happy with the profit. And not with the profit I COULD have. The thing is, Blackcoin didn't offer Anything. It was just a pump and dump in the definition of the word. Darkcoin, on the other hand has substance. It offers 100% anonymity, a ASIC resistant, x11 algo, and Dark Gravity Well. It improves upon what Bitcoin never could. +1 Apples and oranges Well.. my intention wasn't to argue about how good the coin is. I agree. Hopefully it quickly gets adopted by the chinese and other dark merchants. Otherwise, think about those 400btc buys on mintpal. With such a risky chart those buys are for one thing only - profit from the pump. Therefore I would exercise caution. Also remember these coins are open source, features are only as valuable as the time it takes for someone to copy it to another coin (i.e. days/weeks). Or am I wrong about this? I don't care, I don't day trade.  I'm in for the long term. |

I don't want to kill your euphoric..but to me it also looks like it should be time to sell. some whales been playing on the market with several coins and this one is another big game theyre playing. Hold your coins ready to dump.. just an advice.

I think DRK is a great coin, but i feel its rising too sharply in value, ive never seen anything like this before.
I don't remember if it was you, but a month ago, somebody showed the same picture during a previous rise, saying that it will go down after that. And here we are ... |

Ac2 you're an idiot. Everybody knows darkcoin is the best thing that happened to cryptocurrency since bitcoin. Litecoin market cap will be surpassed in a matter of weeks.
wanne bet money on that >? I'll go one better and bet you that DRK will exceed LTCs market cap in a matter of days.(Just not sure exactly how many. ) It's inevitable though. The most, if not the only innovative coin around here . The rises are not caused by pumps but by investors who know the enormous potential of that currency. |

Reading this thread and watching the DRK Cryptsy charts are by far the most interesting part of my day at the moment!
I knew there was something special about this coin and I'm so glad I persisted mining with it for the last couple of months.
I've said it before but i'll say it a gain, Evan Duffield is a genius and the DRK community are great.
I'm still kicking myself that i sold off about 20 DRK that i'd mined at 0.0012...about 12 hours before they spiked to .002!
