I would normally try to be optimistic but the OP has been inactive for quite some time now and the site closes after a big win..
It doesn't look to good from here :C

OP was never super active here and had 1-2 weeks periods of inactivity before, so that alone doesn't mean much.
But yeah, site going down right now doesn't do much good.

I've sent an email to admin to make sure he's aware and asked him for update.

Hello everyone, sorry for all the waiting, someone here just asked me to check the forum.

The site was having a short downtime due to a technical problem. I'm sorry to make you worried, this happened at a wrong time but everything is fine now. Regular deposit and withdrawal should also work well, as there are some new deposits came to the site.

About huggermugger, we have been in contact with him and have asked for some time to investigate the bets. Looking up to the size of the bet, we think this is normal and reasonable to do so. Other than that everything is good.

I hope this can clear the air Smiley

Glad to hear the good news.
Don't you think you should get a member that represents the company on this forum?

Good luck!

A direct way to contact you at would be good as well.  Do you have further information on what happened with the Ned Ryerson case?  I assume he got paid as he stopped responding, but it was never said.

I'm glad to see that my initial assumption was right earlier in how it would be handled, but the site going offline really gave me a scare.  Hope to see this completely resolved and back to normal in no time Smiley

Can you please help shed more light especially seeing how SD is now down?
683  Economy / Gambling / Re: SafeDICE.com ★ Bitcoin Dice ★ Monero ★ 0.5% Edge ★ Fast Cashout ★ Since 2014 on: April 06, 2016, 03:07:01 PM
i don't see safedice paying for this win. They will claim they were hacked or they'll close down the site.
But, i truly hope i'm wrong.

Good old "sorry guys! we've been hacked" won't work here. Either the operator will disappear with funds, or he'll pay the player promptly. I hope for the latter. "Good" thing, from operator's point of view, is that bankroll was crowdfunded, so the investors will bite the loss (especially those on 10x kelly). So if owner had only small own investment (and set at conservative risk option) then there's no really a reason to make a run (assuming site is solvent).

ps. anyone knows whether huggermugger is active on bitcointalk?

I think the most likely scenario here is that the owner takes more than a couple days to investigate the account and the bets.

He/she will then probably pay the majority of the bet out through cold storage funds and the rest through the hot wallet after a bit of time.

Personally, I don't think there's currently enough in the hot wallet to cover the remainder after the cold storage is drained, but in my personal opinion, I think all the winnings will eventually get paid out and the site will resume to normal (albeit with a much smaller house bankroll).

This is of course all from personal speculation, but I wouldn't recommend making large investments or deposits into the site until the matter is cleared to avoid a ponzi type distribution of the funds.
684  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Moneypot Multiplier Contest! 100,000 Bits First Prize. 4/4-4/11 on: April 04, 2016, 04:48:33 PM
^

Wins or losses on the app itself do not affect Moneypot's operational expenses.

The house bankroll is user invested, meaning Moneypot is unaffected by the house bankroll except for what it has invested into it.

We run a deficit because the bets that are being processed through our API cost us money in data processing charges.  The money we make (commission of the house edge) is taken from the total bet wagered on the app itself which is only 2.075btc over 7.6 Million bets and comes nowhere close to what we've paid for server charges.  With the added risk of memory being filled up and slowing down the site, we've made the executive decision to raise the minimum bet to 1 Bit (100 satoshi).

We value all our players, but from time to time we need to make decisions that benefit the greater good of everyone involved in the site.
685  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Moneypot Multiplier Contest! 100,000 Bits First Prize. 4/4-4/11 on: April 04, 2016, 04:05:34 PM

Moneypot is not a casino it is a platform for casino games (correct me if I am wrong)
as Moneypot allows app owners a min bet of 1 Satoshi the min bet of a Promo given by Moneypot should be 1 Satoshi to be eligible for a prize
each casino/app owner who willdo same promo for example can set his min bet a she likes IMHO

what you are saying actually is that all players who are wagering < 10 000 Satoshi are not welcome at the Mpneypot contest Sad

Completely agree with these reliefs.

That minbet requirement is cutting out a good chunk of moneypot community, a day by day growing one (and I'm withnessing its quick growth since day 1) and sounds a bit discriminating to me.

Hope you will revise your decision on that minwagering requirement.

All players are welcome and we will have many more contests later in the future to try and encompass all of Moneypot's players.

For what it's worth, all bets that are under 10 satoshi cost more in data processing than what their EV produces.  This is why the former owner, Ryan, previously had plans to increase the minimum bet and why we are currently reviewing what the minimum bet should be.

For dust lottery specifically, Moneypot runs an expense as the operation profit from that site is well in the negative.

In this case, if we allowed the minimum bet to be 1 satoshi, it would encourage users to bombard the site with dust bets that have the possibility of slowing down the site or even bringing the site down, as well as make the cost of running more expensive to Moneypot.

This is not fair to Moneypot as a whole.  The majority of Moneypot's Players, App owners and the owners themselves would be negatively affected.
686  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Moneypot Multiplier Contest! 100,000 Bits First Prize. 4/4-4/11 on: April 04, 2016, 12:52:13 PM
Probably wont be the highest but a good result with 80x on Bit-Exo, https://www.moneypot.com/bets/90781869 + 154K bits

Currently leading!  The one I posted was just an example and Moneypot staff members are not eligible to win.

bit confusing, it is highest odds or highest amount ?

** 514,899.48 Bits would now be the biggest payout.  Any amount higher won from a multiplier of 49x or higher would then be leading over top of it.

because this line says amount and goal says multiplier

It's highest amount but with at least a 49x multiplier.

is RBIES betting included or just the bitcoin bets since there are 2 APP that have rbies betting?

Rubies is not included in this weeks promotion.  It will be in future contests however.

This poll is already tainted.

Moneypot's multiple votes have already been removed.
Dont cry, he'll list seperate websites instead mp.

Not crying, I understand that the Moneypot sites have been broken into single sites.

What I'm pointing out is that when you remove votes, the whole poll is already compromised.
Those users can vote again. And poll will last for many months.

I am surprised that in this poll Crypto-games is at level with primedice. I gamble on both websites but i find primedice more popular that crypto-games. Anyway this just my opinion but i know everyone else out there have their own opinion about the two sites.
Wait until primedice make a giveaway thread "vote in this thread and receive xxx btc", they'll be on top in no time  Lips sealed

Not too many people vote and then re-visit a thread later just to vote again without knowing their vote has been removed.

Di you ever plan to add options for people to invest at different kelly levels?

There is something similar but not exactly different Kelly levels planned for the near future.

The new address is the one where you can see the transactions to which is 3PnPzfEajzbVwiwHrwb4sSFU6TWTz8C4oT

We made the change to upgrade the security of the funds.

Just some friendly suggestion , in the future if you are going to move the funds please atleast notify the user through emails or atleast post it through this thread with a signed message to clarify about this. This site takes investment from many people therefore you guys are responsible for any movement of the funds. Now, could you post a signed messaged to verify this?

Thank you for the suggestion.

We promptly notified NLNico who seems to be the biggest stickler for cold wallet address publishing Smiley and were looking into the best way to sign the address before publishing it here.  The multi-sig wallet we use does not support message signing at its core, but we will be extracting the private keys (which we own) to compile the signature needed to prove ownership.

Hi,
all BTC have been moved off this address on March 27. Also, the balance on the "proof of assets" you show here is zero: https://www.moneypot.com/proof-of-assets.txt
Why this change?

Do you have any current proof of assets and/or cold storage?

Thanks!

A big promo is still planned.  We didn't scrap it.

Unfortunately the mark quickly surpassed over the Easter weekend and most of the team was busy with family during the holidays. We're taking a bit of extra time to run it so that we can test some new implementations back end, but we did not forget. Smiley

I made a qualifying bid on your auction (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1413048.msg14332063#msg14332063) here.

And now you've closed the auction and jacked up the price.  Usually these types of actions warrant negative trust.
700  Economy / Gambling / Re: [NEW]★ SatoshiSlots ★ Highest Paying SlotMachine! ★Highest Jackpots★ on: March 28, 2016, 09:04:04 PM
Till now, I still dont understand how you draw the jackpot winner? How could we verify that the draw you made is provably fair..
I think after round 3 people see its fair.. i dont now why i should cheat on house edge if there is already an house edge Smiley

Anyway it will come asap!

That's not really an answer.

All we know is that 3 people who we can't identify with were 'chosen' by a method that no one knows about.

I'm waiting for the method to be released and provably fair to be implemented to play.
No problem i dont force you to play Smiley

But it is a problem.  Without revealing how you are selecting your jackpots, how are customers able to know that they are participating in a fair event?  You can't just say, you can trust me because it's been done 3 times already.
