Here are some effective tips to help stop overthinking:

1. Practice mindfulness techniques. Meditation, yoga, and deep breathing can help calm your mind by living in the present moment instead of worrying about the future. Dedicate 5-10 minutes each day towards one of these.

2. Write it out. Keep a journal and write out all your racing thoughts, worries and fears. Getting them out of your head and onto paper can help relieve some mental clutter.

3. Take frequent breaks. If you find your mind spiraling while working on something, step away briefly. Take a quick walk or do an enjoyable distraction to reset your mind.

4. Limit stimulant intake. Try avoiding excessive caffeine, sugar or nicotine which can all heighten anxious feelings and overthinking.

5. Challenge your thoughts. When you catch yourself overanalyzing, question it and look for evidence on whether the worry is valid or actually unlikely. What's the more reasonable perspective?

6. Talk to friends or a counselor. Verbalizing your thought patterns can help identify cognitive distortions. Friends can offer reality checks while professionals can equip you with healthier coping mechanisms.

7. Manage your time better. Having too much time on your hands can fuel overthinking. Stay reasonably busy with productive tasks, socializing and relaxing activities without packing your schedule too tightly.

Learning to manage spiraling thoughts takes time, but being proactive each day with self-care habits lays the groundwork for lifelong balance. Redirecting your mental focus and energy healthily can transform your outlook dramatically.

Here are some tips for handling physical or emotional pain:

- Breathe deeply - Take slow, controlled breaths to help relax yourself. Focus on inhaling and exhaling instead of the pain. Calm breathing can help lower tension, heart rate, and blood pressure.

- Use relaxation techniques - Belly breathing, meditation, massage, Tai Chi, or visualization of a soothing scene can all help distract from the pain and relax muscles or the mind. Finding the one that works for you can be hugely beneficial.

- Change your focus - Finding the smallest detail in your surroundings to focus your attention on, like counting the weave of blankets or a crack in the ceiling, can divert your hyperfocus from the pain sensation. Engaging in a distracting conversation, reading, or listening to a podcast can also shift your focus.

- Modify your environment - Move to a bright, relaxing environment. Raise or lower the lighting. Apply a heating pad or cold pack to painful joints or muscles. Soothing music, aromas, a cozy blanket, even chewing gum can modify your perception of pain.

- Talk it out - Sharing your feelings and describing your pain to a close friend, family member, or therapist can help validate and process the painful sensations and emotions.

- Pace yourself - Don't overdo activities that may exacerbate the pain. Give yourself permission to rest or take things slow. Learn to say "no" without guilt. Identify triggers for flares or setbacks, then avoid or limit those when possible.

Finding the right coping strategies for you may take some experimentation. Having multiple tools to implement can be helpful. Don't give up! Minimizing pain helps you feel more in control and enjoy life more.

Yan ang panget at nakakabahala sa coinsph, hindi sa sinisiraan ko itong platform na coinsph, yan din kasi ang karanasan ko before, wala naman akong nilabag na rules sa kanila, bigla nalang down nadowngrade yung level ko sa kanila from level 3 to level 2.

This happened to me as well a few weeks ago. Their excuse I got from customer support was, "Level 2 now has all the same privileges as Level 3, so you won't be affected." Which wasn't true. So I re-did KYC and then got a text stating they had reversed their decision to downgrade me.

Other than that, I have to say that their service has greatly improved over the last 6 months. I'm glad you can now just about do everything through the website again, and after I discovered how to trade with Coins Pro I've been saving money from their conversion fees. Its a bit of a pain to wait for orders to go through as many trading pairs have little volume, but its better than paying 3% every time you want to convert a coin to pesos.

As he committed forum self-immolation in spectacular fashion, there's really no point to continue to stomp around on his charred remains.

Here's another example. Look, they even left in the Quora disclaimer at the bottom, lol:

Not everyone seems to understand poverty well enough.

Yes, it is possible and likely to alleviate poverty through Bitcoin. (It’s not going to cure poverty!)

In fact, the UN has been looking into using cryptocurrencies to help distribute funds. They have implemented a trial on Ethereum already.

Often many funds that are distributed to the poor are far less efficient than we realize. Nonprofits and particularly, government organizations have a lot of bureaucracy and costs associated with implementing programs that help the poor. This drastically reduces the funds directed to the poor.

The poor actually spends a lot of money on financial services in proportion to their income. There are several inefficiencies in the market that can be addressed to help the poor. Currently, the price of the cheapest Android smartphone is $3 so it’s actually possible to have every poor person use Bitcoin. (Yes it actually works, I’ve tried it myself in person!)

Remittance can be up to a 10% regressive “tax” on the poor. This is most obvious with the Philippines and Bitcoin remittance startups are gaining traction. Currently, I can send Bitcoin without loss of value at 1/100 of the price to my mother in Hong Kong compared to MoneyGram or Western Union, much faster than international wire in 10 minutes or less. (I’ve already tried it personally, and you’re welcome to test it)
Check-cashing for the underbanked is about $40,000 in a person’s lifetime in the US. (See business model for RiteCheck etc). Bank of America hates poor people and has a $3,000 minimum for checking. The underbanked exist in rich and poor countries. These underbanked people can easily get access to an alternative option, which drives innovation from old incumbents, with new startups leading the way.
High transaction fees on the poor are also another problem that poor people get “taxed” on. Don’t have spare cash anymore? Although this may seem strange to most US folk, accepting payments through a QR code is quite common in China, even for the homeless.

Being able to connect to property ownership and identity verification methods on smart contracts can reduce poverty by allowing access to credit and lower legal costs to serve underutilized human capital. Bitbond is one of those services that give small business owners access to Bitcoin loans to further their business. There are warehouse financing options in Bitcoin only that are for underbanked businesses in poor countries as well. Having access to loans critical for business allows these businesses to hire more people and getting capital where it is needed and deserved.

Not to mention, based on the transparency index, about 85% of people in the world are living under extreme corruption. Often, corrupt governments have much more poor people. Bitcoin and connecting infrastructure on blockchain can reduce the cost of trust, allowing business to be facilitated without government confiscation. For example, a poor person in Zimbabwe will have corrupt officials take away their merchandise because they lack a business license, but the business license itself is out of reach for anyone but the very wealthy! Having options forces corrupt governments to improve access.

Bitcoin in its current form still needs more scaling before it can be used by the masses, it’s currently not there yet. However, from its track record, recent updates on Segwit and Lightning Network have provably reduced transaction fees for Bitcoin on several magnitudes. It now costs about $0.2 from what was $10 several months ago for any size transaction. It can be reduced even further in exponential terms, based on more second and third layer scaling and new infrastructure in place that will give VISA a run for its money.

It’s grown so fast, ex CEO of Paypal is trying to run a smear campaign to keep the status quo, while public companies like Square that are in the runner-up market share are already incorporating it in their payment processing app to embrace the future.

685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if all Bitcoin is lost? on: December 26, 2023, 09:39:43 AM
It would actually be a "great" idea for a computer virus that makes people send Bitcoin from their wallets to burn addresses... like every time you open your wallet to send Bitcoin, your entire balance gets sent to an address like 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE.  Cheesy

It still wouldn't lose all the Bitcoin, but it would certainly take a lot out of circulation.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: December 24, 2023, 10:29:12 AM
And as i stated on different thread, not many people bother opening LN channel when it costs them several dollars to do so.

If you have a business that depends on making several Bitcoin transactions a day, and you're stuck in a high fee environment that appears to be prolonged, wouldn't it be more cost efficient to pay a really big fee once rather than several big fees for an indeterminate amount of time?

Several major exchanges will swap your BTC for LN or Liquid BTC for a zero % charge.

And I know we're not supposed to talk about it, but yes, using alts to move wealth around is also a decent solution. Although Dogecoin is also suffering from full blocks thanks to Doginals and the like, it handles the surplus of transactions very well. After all, blocks are produced 1 per minute. The average fee still remains less than 1 cent. The only downside is the chain is growing at a rate of close to 500 MB per day.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: December 24, 2023, 08:16:29 AM
I see we're currently back up to almost 100 sat/byte. Boo, who is minting shittokens on Christmas Eve?  Cheesy

Here's a good conspiracy theory: Ordinals is actually a trojan horse designed to force people to adopt L2 solutions like Lightning and Liquid. This appears to be where the future is headed. Guess I'm gonna learn how to do Lightning on Electrum.

Miners must be loving it right now!

Indeed, there's no way they're not.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Features of the worldview of a gambler on: December 24, 2023, 06:53:58 AM
Unless they are losing money they can't afford to lose, I don't think being overly optimistic is really a problem. I know people who like to play cards 3-4 times a week and they aren't necessarily good players (even after tons of experience), but they enjoy the camaraderie and see it as a chance to get out of the house.

I know gambling addiction is a real thing, but once you understand the true nature of the house edge, it makes it hard to spend too much money at a casino (at least for me anyway). It should curb one's "pathological optimism" problem.

I'm still confused as to what the etiquette is regarding PMs to someone's clients. It's seems to be either perfectly acceptable or totally inappropriate to send such PMs, seemingly based on a complex formula involving lunar phases and tea leaves. I assume publishing someone's PMs is contingent to similarly elaborate "rules".

Both seem like bad business etiquette. Just my 2 cents.

After a new scandal - Sindbad.io mixer - it's a hot topic again.

Are you misspelling the website on purpose? The correct spelling is in all the links you posted.

Sindbad.io funds were not just from DarkNet markets like ChipMixer, funds were even from organized crime syndicates.

ChipMixer was not a darknet market, or if you meant all their business came from darknet markets, that's not true either. Even Chainalysis found that the majority of funds sent through ChipMixer did not have "illicit origins."

Sindbad.io abused Bitcointalk to attract clean coins, to get volumes for mixing Sindbad.io’s extremely tainted coins. Bitcointalk members were abused like exit liquidity from shitcoin pump and dumps.

Uh, not really. Did anyone actually lose BTC as a result of using their mixer? If so, who were they? Regardless, anyone who uses a mixer should already be aware of the risks.

And as a result, all mixers are banned now on Bitcointalk, even legitimate ones.  Cry

There's not really such a thing as a "legitimate mixer." If you mean a mixer that did its job well or as advertised, "Sindbad" more or less fell into this category.

Find the top post, look at the date its been posted. It's been the top post since its been posted.

5 years of being the "stickied post" of a sub-forum is valuable.

Its not "stickied," its just that nobody really posts in that section, and the most recent post was in your thread. I visit it probably about once per year. This was my first time this year. You'd probably have better luck joining a sig campaign. If you can't join a sig campaign, chances that someone will rent your sig space are slim.

In any case, good luck.
692  Economy / Services / Re: Bounty Cleanup & Alt Detection Service on: December 24, 2023, 12:42:33 AM
You are trying to take the half payment of the bounty participant. It is for those who are not eligible or all of the participants? If it is for all the participants then I think the fees are high. But if only the not eligible participants then it is okay.

This would be taken from bounty participants that are found to be breaking the rules of the campaign. So I would get 50% of their payment and the bounty manager saves the other half. Thanks for your question.
693  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Signature mixers question on: December 23, 2023, 05:59:46 AM
This is all just my personal opinion, and not meant to be construed as actual advice, and it only applies to those living in the US (I don't know about other country's tax laws):

If (in theory) I had earnings from a mixer signature campaign, I would report them only if they ended up at a US-based exchange where you provided KYC information. If you cashed them out to USD, you'll definitely want to report that, as most likely the exchange will be providing the IRS with this information.

If you cashed them out in any other way, I wouldn't bother reporting it at all. The chances of being audited by the IRS are slim unless you made some windfall profits that are triggering tax documents to be sent on your behalf.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: December 22, 2023, 12:46:48 PM
A lotta predicted blowouts this week & a few exciting games as well. Browns/Texans will be a good game, line switched from Texans to Browns. Dallas/Miami will be a good showdown. Dallas has already clinched a spot and Miami will likely whether they win or lose. There's 3 whole weeks of regular season left, gotta watch em and make em count. Then when the season is over, you'll have some comfort in the memories of your extra experience.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ordinal blockchain irking me, causing almost $40 median fee now... on: December 22, 2023, 10:40:39 AM
- Ordinals by itself is not technically an "exploit", BUT it can be used as an attack vector to impede and interrupt financial transactions in the Bitcoin blockchain.

I'm willing to be you most miners don't see it as an "attack vector." So long as somebody is paying a fee, the system is working as intended.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ordinal blockchain irking me, causing almost $40 median fee now... on: December 22, 2023, 02:21:35 AM
I still don't get why some people insist of using the false term "censorship" when referring to an "exploit fix".
But as I've said a million times, we've been "censoring" a lot of abusing transactions that would fall under similar protocol exploits for as long as Bitcoin has existed so I don't see how things would be any different if we fix this newest exploit in the protocol!

I don't get why you're using the term "we." You haven't been doing anything. Neither have I, but I don't harbor any sort of delusion that its at all up to me. The people who do have any sort of say are probably doing some careful balancing of pros and cons, putting a lot of consideration into potential "fixes" before taking any kind of action.

That's complete and utter nonsense. The tweet itself is a paradox! Layer suggests it is on top of something else, meaning the "base" has to work fine for the layer to also work.

The base layer is working fine. Its doing exactly what its supposed to do.

Despite the point deduction and dropping to the lower part of the standings, Everton still bears the mark of a resilient team with an extremely unpleasant and disciplined playing style. Evidence of this is in the last 5 matches, where they have secured 10 out of a possible 15 points, showcasing determination and remarkable resilience.
This has proven the team's strong ability to bounce back after storms, helping them escape the relegation zone. The determination and unity within the team under Dyche's guidance are bringing positive results, enabling Everton to regain momentum and see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Certainly, Ten Hag must bear the main responsibility for Mu's decline, setting aside the sideline issues regarding the club's ownership changes. Ten Hag has had ample time and funds for squad building. Mu's current struggles mostly stem from instability in the locker room, and Ten Hag is at the center of it all. Strict discipline is necessary, but it should be applied fairly, not favoring certain players to avoid unwarranted tensions.

Additionally, Ten Hag's tactics this season need scrutiny. He consistently makes errors in substitutions and unwarranted changes in playstyle, leading Mu to relinquish leads in matches where they had the upper hand, notably in the UCL group stage against Galatasaray and Copenhagen. After those defeats, instead of taking responsibility as a coach, he often blames his players or attributes it to the opponent's strength. It's a concerning pattern that raises questions about his leadership and decision-making, factors crucial to Mu's performance.

The latest on the Sancho-Raphinha swap deal between Manchester United and Barcelona brings some complications. It seems Manchester United won't be able to swap Jadon Sancho directly for Raphinha with Barcelona. Barcelona is adamant about selling Raphinha but isn't interested in including Sancho in the deal. According to Sky Sports, Barcelona has set a price tag of $100 million (~£79 million) for Raphinha.

This suggests that, for the negotiations to proceed, Manchester United might have to offer a cash sum in addition to including Sancho in the deal. This adds a layer of complexity to the potential agreement, making it less straightforward for both clubs in the January 2024 transfer window.

Post #4: Here we can see he adds some of his own words to reduce the AI-ness:

Alaba's injury is considered quite serious, with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, and he will undergo surgery in the coming days. This is an extremely heavy loss for Real Madrid as a torn ACL is the worst injury for an athlete. Alaba is expected to be out for 7-9 months, and the season is practically over for him from this December.
The absence of Alaba, I believe, will seriously affect Real Madrid's plans for the remainder of the season. He is currently the team's primary left-center back, pairing with Antonio Rudiger after Militao's long-term absence. Now, with Alaba's injury, Real Madrid has only two central defenders in the first team, Nacho and Rudiger. This is a thin squad, especially as they approach important matches in early 2024, such as facing Atletico Madrid twice in the Spanish Super Cup and playing against the league leaders Girona (February 11), not to mention the Round of 16 in the Champions League.
It's likely that midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni will play as a center back in place of Alaba. Therefore, Real Madrid is likely to consider finding a replacement in the January transfer window to strengthen the defensive line.

I don't always agree with him, but what he says makes a lot of sense here. There's no point in continuing to have unreasonable expectations about the devs doing something to suit your whims.

It's weird to me that the devs aren't doing anything about this
