It did happen for a longer period. And lets be clear im not here to fud. It just came to my attention and i wanted to know if this happens a lot and for what reason.

And dont get me wrong, i like xst and i have a few btc invested myself.

But now i know, i wont post any of that anymore Smiley

Man, this happens with all coins and that is why many people call bittrex of "botrex".
Unfortunately the crypto world is commanded by the big whales, deny it is naive.
You created a thread in altcoin discussion area talking about it happened only with xst and keep repeating it here, really seems that your intention is only trolling.

sorry not my intention. i mentioned xst as that was the coin im following. i created that topic because my post was deleted here and i wanted an answer. i did not mention it here again till the other guy started to ask the same questions.

but ok this will be my last reply about this as it again wasnt my intention to cause some fud

686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion: Why Ripple/XRP Doubled In Value in Less Than A Week on: November 24, 2014, 09:40:11 PM
It is a bit saddening that it is still quite hard to have an actual discussion about Ripple on Bitcointalk without having to explain fundamentals (and threads getting derailed or at least trolled)...Unfortunately it's hard to talk about the more exciting ones, as a lot of people around here seem to be more fixed upon the idea of Platform == Currency (which doesn't even really apply to Bitcoin). Sad

I thought things might have changed around here after my hiatus but it seems the same as ever. It really is a shame that there isn't a good neutral place to have mature discussions (except for xrptalk.org, which is closing).

I agree but its because this forum is mostly used by altcoin members and they are like greenpace followers the only thing they want is a decentralized system and everything that doesnt meet their point of view will be bashed unfortunately.

And like the greenpeace followers their intentions are good, but they just dont understand that the things they want will never be used by the mass, simply because the world doesnt work that way. Im not saying altcoins are bad, but they will never be more then a niche market thats a simple fact because governments demand regulation and they need to control money to be able to handle taxes and to avoid criminal activities.

In my opinion ripple combines the two worlds together. So fast, easy and cheap payments through the regular channels.

So you can say what you want but they will probably always be against ripple. Its like starting a discussion with a vegitarian about meat!

yeah price is looking good, buy support is growing. now we only need someone who buys a few btc at market prices to get the price above 7000 sat
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: fake volume xst? on: November 24, 2014, 05:35:19 PM
Lol, you clearly dont know me and didnt take the time to look at my posting history. I have never fudded or trolled! I only posted something here that i noticed and in this case it was about xst.

Based on your postings i can assume you have a stake in xst and are only calling me a troll because you dont like my post as it can hurt your investment.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: fake volume xst? on: November 24, 2014, 02:32:52 PM
i understand the delisting part but i thought devs who find this important just connect a small bot to it which buys and sell the minimum amount needed each day.

i see those and other bots at all altcoins also at xst. but this are orders of around 2btc each and always three after each other every six hours. thats why i thought there might be a different reason and the only one i can think of is to manipulate the trade volume to get it on page one of the exchanges.

im prety sure its no accumulation for the new wallet release as the orders are both sell and buy orders. secondly the 6btc sell wall is never shown in the orderbooks. it appears for a second and that exact amount is bought in the next second. its clearly someone or something that is selling to himself. also this has been going on for weeks. if it was accumulating then that would mean that whale has bought over 250btc which is highly unlikely.

hehe well i didnt see any topics about that so thats why i posted it. sorry to be a noob Smiley
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: fake volume xst? on: November 23, 2014, 09:19:09 PM
xst just had another fake volume boost. it looks like a bot, probably from the owner. dont be fooled the volume is almost zero for xst at the moment
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion: Why Ripple/XRP Doubled In Value in Less Than A Week on: November 23, 2014, 09:17:11 PM
In Ripple, you have complete freedom of which currencies to use.

What gives the XRP coin actual value?

you need a small amount of xrp for each transaction made on the ripple protocol. so the more its used the more xrp will be worth
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion: Why Ripple/XRP Doubled In Value in Less Than A Week on: November 23, 2014, 08:52:39 PM
lol so funny to read how stupid people can be. just calling ripple is a scam because you believe altcoins are better shows that you will never be a winner.

a real good investor keeps his eyes open for all new things. if it doesnt fit your way of thinking thats ok but that doesnt mean its a scam!

ripple isnt better or worse then altcoins its just another system which focusses on the legal market. most altcoins and btc only are succesfull due to illegal markets and that will be the reason they will never be big. at least not untill they change it to be able to enter regular markets

695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | Betfloor | viorTrade | Bittrex on: November 23, 2014, 02:49:15 PM
Any reason why this thread is not blowing up with replies? I checked Bitbay that raised 3000 BTC and it has more replies but less page views. I think people are just treating this coin as a hidden gem. Don't tell anyone about Viorcoin  Lips sealed

Another theory is that no one is fudding since the price is still above ICO price.

i think its a difficult entry point for new users as nobody seems to seel coins so people have to buy at high prices. although the current price is low this doesnt look low when you look at it at first sight...
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple - how far this trustable coin will go? on: November 23, 2014, 02:46:56 PM
definately no pump and dump althought it might go down a bit now as it has spiked a lot the last days.

prices are still very cheap. banks are showing their interest and if they start using it then it can blow up big time.

Dont see ripple as a coin or as competition of btc because it just isnt. it can even help btc. if ripple gets integrated by banks then everybody will be able to buy (and all other things which has value) btc instantly

You clearly have bought Ripple and want people to pump it more.

I do have xrp but i don care if people buy more or not. xrp will rise mainly due to usage of network so as long as banks will start using them price will rise by itself

dont forget the price we saw the last weeks wasnt the normal price it was only on that level due to some good news which caused a buy spike. now things have gone to normal again so dont expect another spike like we saw before!

699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP going up -- why? on: November 23, 2014, 06:20:23 AM
its because ripple is doing a very good job lately and a lot of good news came out. they found a us bank who starts to use ripple and rabobank from the netherlands is also testing with it.

xrp was in a downtrend a long time, and now things are really looking positive
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / fake volume xst? on: November 23, 2014, 06:15:48 AM
Hi,

I noticed that a at some coins users seem to manipulate the trade volume by buying and selling to themselves. The last couple of weeks for example this happens with stealthcoin.

At bittrex today it looks like xst has a nice volume but if you take a closer look you see it only comes from a few trades. And because the trade amounts are almost identical im almost sure it is someone who buys his own sell orders to manipulate the trade volume.

Secondly i was watching the orderbook when those trades happened and there wherent any sell orders with this amounts of btc. they where placed and instantly bought right after they where placed.

If you dont count those "fake" trades and when the bot trades arent counted then volume will drop with 90%.

With this kind of trading the coin gets pumped to page one of bittrex and a lot of people think its a highly traded coin and start to invest in it. Offcourse people have to be smart and trade volume doesnt have to mean anything, but still its smells a bit like fraud to attract new investors.

Maybe i see things totally wrong but why else would people buy and sell the same amount of coins within a few minutes and do the same stuff every x hours?

cheers

Robin
