681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of advice is worth giving such people? on: September 11, 2023, 12:06:43 PM
I have read some painful stories online about Bitcoin fans that lost their Bitcoin to hacks more than once and how they gave up because of the hacks, this made me curious about people on the forum, I will like to ask you guys how many times you have lost Bitcoin to hacks or your own mistakes, and why are you still not giving up.
Can you keep buying bitcoin if you have already get hacked like twice or more in the past?
they surely got hacked because of their own lack of knowledge, carelessness, and not willing to learn how to store crypto safely. if they got hacked first time then they need to learn about crypto and technology more so they can be saved from upcoming hacks.

Quote
Like a story about an American who lost his love for Bitcoin because of the hacks, I believe it's because of his own carelessness though, because you can't leave your wallet on a bench outside your home and not expect someone to steal it, and you come out and say your wallet was stolen by a thief, like what do expect?
investing in bitcoin is not leaving your wallet on bench, it is like keeping wallet in teared pocket without knowing about it (which in this case is lack of knowledge about online security and privacy)

Quote
What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
they lost their bitcoins because of their own mistake, they should not give up on investing in bitcoin and trusting in bitcoin, it all about their lack of knowledge of security and technology.
682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions dealing on: September 11, 2023, 06:01:10 AM
Snip

Controlling emotions is very important in trading, I tried trading one month with real money and  one month by demo balance. The result was i was chasing my losses when trading with real money, while chasing the losses I was taking high risk.
And in demo account I was not chasing losses instead I was waiting for next opportunity after a losing trade.

When trading with real money, emotions take control of  us.  Which causes wrong decisions making and losing.

683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for ways to improve my knowledge on cryptocurrency on: September 10, 2023, 02:21:34 PM
yes, you can learn about cryptocurrency, money, blockchain, etc. better than any other platfrom.
and you can also earn money which is the form of bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.
here are lot of ways to earn money like signature campaigns(you are seeing the ads an every post? yah that one!), bounty(which i don't recommend wasting time for pennies),
offering services or selling things(check child boards to see what you can do with you skills or goods there)

To start earning with signature campaign you need your account ranked at full member+ (now your rank us "newbie" , to increase you rank read this thread, and read this thread to get to know the rules of this forum)

You don't need any rank requirement to earn by providing services. but you need to have a good portfolio so you can get people interested in your stuff, and give you work.

688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to join best bounty and earn money? on: September 09, 2023, 11:39:11 AM
I don't understand there are so many bounty in bounty section. Because a YouTuber made video and I saw. He says make account and than earn money with bounty and I don't have knowledge?
most youtubers want views, likes, subscribers, they tell you what most of the people are finding like to earn money with low effort or no effort but they will not share their earnings from that platform,
nowadays, bounties and airdrops are a waste of time, if you really want to make money, you can learn a skill in a specific field and sell your service or product.
another way is to join signature campaigns here, it will be difficult for you to grow your account because you are a newbie. and you will start earning money after a long time when you reach high rank
689  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: September 09, 2023, 10:15:18 AM
is it a right idea to add a feature of automatically compressing big images to 2.5mb limit? like some images are bigger than 2.5mb and I need to go to third part websites to compress that image, which waste so much time,
how it would be when talkimg.com automatically compress big images (which are more than 2.5mb) into under 2.5mb limit? it's just an idea which is solving a problem of wasting time of users.

693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share Your Bitcoin Hack Stories: Help Us Educate and Protect! on: September 09, 2023, 09:06:08 AM
I was lucky enough to never getting hacked when i was new to bitcoin, and reading this forum helped me a lot to stay safe from being hacked or scammed, here many users shared their experiences about getting hacked or getting scammed and i learned from their mistakes.
here's what i have learned so far:
1. Avoid clicking on links which are from non trusted sources.
2. do not store your crypto on exchanges for long time.
3. do not connect metamask with websites you don't trust.
4. do not store you passwords or seed phrases online and backup them on regular basis.
5. buy a cold wallet if you can afford.
6. do not share any private information online with anyone.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA'ing isnt a bad strategy on: September 09, 2023, 08:40:47 AM
I do DCA every 5 days means accumulating 6 times a month, it helps me to stay disciplined, buying not at bottom not at top but on average,
DCA help me to avoid making impulsive decisions based on fear or greed. when prices are booming everyday, it's easy to invest a lump sum and later panic selling during a downturn. DCA encourages a more measured approach, reducing the emotional rollercoaster of investing.

696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and get rich quick syndrome on: September 09, 2023, 05:54:11 AM
The problem is people look at the HODLers from over 10 years back who bought Bitcoins for a few buck and the value of their Bitcoins is now in millions still seated in the wallets. This triggers them to think they can also become millionaires overnight, but the truth is even for those HODLers, it was not an overnight thing. They had to go through thick and think, FUD and FOMOs, Government bans and approvals, crypto hacks and scares to reach where they are today.
Success does not come on a silver platter in most cases.

you're absolutely correct!! sometimes people see those early bitcoin investors who faced many challenges. they had to deal with fear, doubt, and excitement while also dealing with government rules and security problems. It was like walking through hell. becoming successful in the world of cryptocurrency isn't something that happens quickly. it takes a lot of time and hard work. so, if anyone thinking about getting into cryptocurrencies, then be prepared for a journey with many ups and downs. even those who became millionaires had to work hard and stay strong for a long time before they succeeded.
697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What did you do After Reaching your Bitcoin Goal? on: September 09, 2023, 05:31:03 AM
you have achieved your goal and now you need to set a more difficult goal than this,
if your goal is to accumulate more and more bitcoins through DCAing, then this is the right time to accumulate bitcoins at low prices,
then, when bitcoin hits a new all time high, you can sell them and make a profit, then diversify your money into safer assets like real estate, gold, bonds, etc.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Circulation review on: September 09, 2023, 05:15:21 AM
it's a problem for some people and not for others,  it's good for people.. who hold bitcoin, means in long run the bitcoin will become scarce and it's value rises and it will be more expensive and they can get out with high profits.
it's not good for those who transact small amounts because it will cause rise in transaction fees.
businesses will face difficulty pricing their product or services with less bitcoin available, it can be difficult for businesses and people to determine the right price for things using bitcoin, because as Bitcoin becomes increasingly scarce, its value keeps increasing, making it difficult to know how much bitcoin to use to buy or sell products or services.
699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two years ago today, El Salvador adopted Bitcoin as legal tender on: September 09, 2023, 04:55:04 AM
president bukele's approach to bitcoin is very different, we don't know if other countries will do it too. it is a tough choice with many factors to think about.
but one thing we're sure of is that cryptocurrencies, like bitcoin, are here to stay. they are getting more important in how the world does business, and they are going to keep growing and changing in the future.
700  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Utopia P2P Ecosystem 💎 Poker Client - Review Campaign 🔎 on: September 09, 2023, 12:25:01 AM
here my review:
for now the utopia platform have very less people to play with it's very hard to find a poker table to play. which match with our bankroll. so please advertise it to attract people and they can signup on utopia and download the app.
creating a table was easy for me.
instead of "empty seat" you can make it like "invite someone with umessenger" and sent invite link.

the sound effect is not like 'round started' or 'now your turn to bet', so change sound effect.
while playing on utopia my other apps lags and don't show on screen.
icons on playing cards are so small to see the numbers and suit.
you can change backside on playing cards to utopia logo in green and black.
you can add hotkeys to bet, raise, fold, etc.
chatting section is small and need to scroll to see who won on previous rounds.  so you can make it longer not bigger.

overall great and thrilling experience to play with real person.
