Disappointing start by South Africa, they have already lost 6 wickets on the first day. Not many runs on the scoreboard, just 220 runs. Ironically South Africa won the toss and took batting, looks like a bad decision to me. Rachin Ravindra had a good first test will the bat and now is having a good time with the ball, took 3 wickets on day 1.

The current situation of the Indian-U19 team is looking similar to what the men's team experienced earlier. India has already lost 6 wickets in the 30th over with a score of 115 runs. It is not looking good as the asking run rate is going up, not a pleasant site to watch. Never expected to see a repeat performance of the previous World Cup.
683  Local / India / Re: Beware! Gov Planning a Cracks Down on Crypto Traders Evading Binance Ban on: February 11, 2024, 02:21:48 PM

For me it's weird to see government targetting crypto tax evaders because usually government doesn't give **ck even who evade taxes in crores and also if I am not wrong they only will push the evaders to pay the pending tax with little more penalty as punishment but here they are hammering with strict standards which makes me wonder is this really India's decision of US like governments forcing India to behave like that.

Just weird assumption but I feel something is behind targetting crypto.

The thing is that the government is more focused on getting tax income from cryptocurrency traders and that is why they are going for the kill. After the PayTM bank fiasco wherein a lot of accounts were connected to a single PAN and all these accounts were used for money laundering, it is clear that the government suspects those 4000 accounts are linked to the same issue.

The rich in this country have been known to evade tax or steal taxpayer's money and run to another country. That has been done for many years now under the watchful eyes of the government and still, they cannot get hold of them. That is why they are turning to those who are not rich but may be pawns of the rich or maybe genuine traders or maybe middle-class individuals who can easily be held responsible for the loss to the exchequer and their incompetence.
684  Local / India / Re: A New crypto futures Exchange is in line - Pi42 on: February 11, 2024, 05:09:37 AM
What is the use of such tactics to hide VDA tax using a loophole in the law? The government would come up with an update on the current law and then what will happen to the users. There was a time when such tactics were used to manipulate the stock market. The government at that time was helpless as the technology was primitive and India was struggling economically and we all know what happened later on who were in jail and who were not. Already there are many issues that the crypto community is facing in India and the future option does not look so bright for the future.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t you think BRC20 tokens need more spotlight? on: February 11, 2024, 04:51:49 AM
Apart from spamming the Bitcoin network amd spiking the Bitcoin transaction fees I don't see any real purpose of BRC-20 tokens. They don't have any real case use like Bitcoin and they are a bunch of useless shitcoins. That is why while Bitcoin is gaining an upper price spike they are still heading sideways or are in red. I don't think the existing tokens have any hopes in the future and like a lot of altcoins they would die too.

The final match of the U19 World Cup 2024 will be played today. Both teams have played extremely well in the entire tournament. But, the semifinal between Australia and Pakistan showed the weak batting of Australia. They were struggling to get 180 runs on the scoreboard to win the semifinal game. India has been quite dominant in the entire tournament and has a strong batting depth. As per the bookies India is the favourite to win, which I do belief. Still it is the finals and it will be a game of pressure and skills.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 10, 2024, 04:52:18 AM
No official news but it looks like Shreyas Iyer complained about back spasm (an unofficial term for dropping from the team)  Grin and might not feature in 3rd test.

BCCI are still keeping things tight on squad announcements because they are waiting for updates on KL Rahul and Jaddu's injuries and we know how long it takes letters to be delivered by Indian post so reasonable excuse.  Wink

There is speculative news circling in different media outlets that are saying that Kohli won't be available for the last three test matches. Pujara might be called in as his replacement and he would be part of the team for the three tests. BCCI was supposed to announce the final squad yesterday and there was a delay due to Kohli's unavailability in announcing the names. Pujara has been in form and has won a century in the Ranji trophy so I guess if the news is correct then he would replace Kohli.
688  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: February 10, 2024, 04:23:40 AM
NCA reports Iyer is having back stiffness and might miss the third series and we all know what this stiffness meant to be and finally the team management make some changes that they were reluctant to do.

Another huge miss will be Virat will not be available until 4th test so the real test for Indian middle order is there in this series and I hope KL Rahul will come back and give some strength if he swaps Shreyas spot but interested to see who is going to be the WK batsman because management made it clear KL will not be WK for this series and Bharat didn't do well in the 4 innings to consider him giving chances further.

A few news outlets are speculating that Pujara might be called for the rest of the series. He recently scored a century in the ongoing Ranji trophy and is in good nick to be part of the team. Jadeja won't be playing the rest of the matches anymore due to his injury the same goes for Iyer. Kohli has withdrawn from the remaining test as he has not confirmed it to the selection committee and the team management. I do not think Bharath would be replaced he will continue to be part of the team in the third test although he has been very bad with wicketkeeping and batting.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🟣OFFICIAL SOLANA THREAD 🟣 [ Discuss everything about Solana here ] on: February 10, 2024, 03:56:21 AM
Right now 10th February 1 SOL is worth: $109,65

Your prediction for the next 24 hours? Below $100 or stabilize over $100?  Smiley

It has already gone above $109 and is now at $110.29, the way Bitcoin is pumping I was expecting $SOL to be at $120. I should reach that price point if the market remains green by next week. It is still below its all-time high that it had achieved in 2021 and there is still scope for it to break it before Bitcoin halving. This might be the first time I have seen Bitcoin in green before halving.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 08, 2024, 01:35:45 PM
Pakistan bowling has been the best in the World Cup. They are now doing the same against Australia's batting. They have managed to get 4 wickets and they might get more. The runs have literally dried down as Australia is struggling. I hope Pakistan can defend the target and win today.

691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats the new narrative? on: February 08, 2024, 07:15:20 AM
what's the latest narrative circulating in the crypto space these days?

AI and crypto are the latest narratives in the crypto space. The intersection of AI and crypto is gaining traction, some projects are exploring AI trading algorithms and AI-based analysis of blockchain data. I think the next thing that would be trending in the upcoming bull run would be AI-powered cryptocurrencies. Some of them are already trending in the current market condition.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 08, 2024, 06:51:29 AM
I was checking the odds for the upcoming U19 World Cup second semifinal and found that Australia is the favorite and not Pakistan. It's kind of odd as both teams have played well in the tournament up till now. They both have a chance to win the semifinals but why bookies think Australia has the upper hand is unknown to me. I think like the first semifinals we will enjoy the second semifinals and if any of them wins they will play in the finals against India.
693  Local / India / Re: CoinDCX CEO expects crypto tax to be reduced after 2024 election. on: February 08, 2024, 06:05:50 AM
While they are enjoying a surge in the volume of their exchange they would come up with such a statement. This is all part of the marketing strategy and I do not think that the government would do anything like what Gupta is expecting. The government won't be reducing the tax as they know with their negative attitude they would be generating more revenue and less stress to themselves.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pepe coin. on: February 08, 2024, 06:01:33 AM
How do you think?  Pepe coin was created by Mark Zuckerberg to destroy the dog in a few years or is it not true?

Where did you get the information that Zuckerberg is involved in creating Pepe coin? Why would he do it when he is already in a business that does not require him to create a meme coin? If he wanted he would use blockchain technology for his business, he is already into Web 3 technology and I do not think he would venture into anything else.
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 07, 2024, 07:15:52 AM
What a classy chase and it turned out to be a thriller.

Before WC this Indian u-19 squad was considered weak in comparison to previous u-19 squads but still, they reached the finals. I knew Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas were good but wasn't sure because the Proteas bowling unit is strong and led by Kwena Maphaka. For some reason, Indian skipper Uday Saharan reminds me of Virat Kohli, not in terms of his batting skill but this kid wears his heart on his sleeves. Not afraid of shittalk and eager to get into the opposition's head.

I was not expecting Ashin Kulkarni and Musheer Khan to get out cheaply. They both have been bowling and batting well in the entire tournament and in the semifinals they bombed. After these two got out, it again felt as if the Indian-U19 team was choking in the same manner as the Indian national team did in the ICC tournament. The surprise was Sachin Dhas's aggressive approach at a stage when other batters would like to be defensive. He got the right support from Saharan and both were near to their centuries which unfortunately they did not achieve.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Made an Altcoin crypto discord for anyone interested in discussing altcoins/BTC on: February 07, 2024, 06:29:27 AM

Aren't we discussing altcoin on this board of the forum, then why we would need another? The discussion here is far better and more in-depth than those in other forums. I do not think there is any need to join Discord to discuss altcoins as it won't make any big difference. If you want to you can also start a discussion here on this board about altcoins. Thanks for the invite but most of us would be happy to stay here.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XMR Zcash and other private coins are getting delisted from binance on: February 07, 2024, 06:21:58 AM

It seems that XRP is already recovering a little from this fall, in addition, XRP has already been devaluing since the beginning of the year, now it has only seen a spike, which has practically returned to the value it had before the announcement.

Typo error, it should be XMR and not XRP and you are right the price has recovered a little.

I was reading the blog post of Binance and they said the reason is "When a coin or token no longer meets this standard, or the industry changes, we conduct a more in-depth review and potentially delist it,"

What standards were not met? To me, it looks like pressure from the US first, it was OKX, and now Binance. The next exchange I am assuming would be Kucoin, it always follows Binance in listing and delisting of tokens.
698  Local / India / Re: Paytm Bank will no longer operate starting from March 1. on: February 07, 2024, 05:38:45 AM
The PayTM issue is much bigger than it looks. After RBI, NHAI has banned them from issuing FASTag. If anyone is using UPI address that ends with @paytm, please shift to another service provider as it will be banned after 29th of this month. If you are a store owner it is better to start using a different UPI pay receiver as Paytm QR code will not work after the same date. I doubt they will now get thier licence back from RBI as they have broken too many laws.

India-U19 team was once 79/4 in the game's early stages against South Africa. Coming out from that position and winning the game is a big achievement. I had the same feeling when India was losing wickets that they were again choking on an important ICC tournament like the senior team does every time, but it was a surprise when I saw them getting into the finals for the 9th time.

The partnership between Sachin Dhas and Uday Saharan changed the game forever, they both lost the opportunity to get their 100 but were the only contributors to win against the South African team.

The next semifinals will be played tomorrow between AUS-U19 and PAK-U19. My wish is that the PAK-U19 team wins the game so that we can watch them play the finals against India-U19 but my mind says that AUS-U19 will win tomorrow.

India U19 vs South Africa U19

The first semi-final match of this year's U-19 World Cup will be held tomorrow. In the first semi-final of the U19 World Cup, India U19 team and South Africa U19 team are facing each other. India U19 reached the semi-finals as group champions and they faced South Africa's. South Africa U19 very well as they also won most of the matches. There will be a lot of pressure on both teams in tomorrow's match as they have already reached the semi-finals. The team that wins tomorrow will directly reach the finals and the losers will be eliminated from the tournament.

India won the toss and choose to bowl first. Looks like a good decision as they have got 2 wickets already. They haven't lost a single match in the tournament because of food batting. The bowling has been impressive as both seamers and spinners have been successfull in breaking the partnership. I have feeling that they would be able to defeat South Africa in the semifinals.
