681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Definition of Winning in Gambling on: March 27, 2019, 12:25:46 PM
Not every people who were gambling goes bankrupt so we can call them as winner of gambling?

Maybe they lost their money but at least they enjoyed their time.
Think of it as they spent that money to buy a painting or classic car, would you call them losers?

I will not call them as a loser, because they know how to spend the money on their hobby. People who still have money while they are playing gambling and decide to end the game and quit to gamble will be the winner because they can control their passion for gambling. Maybe they can call as the winner in gambling.
Yes.Winning in gambling refers not just about money matters but also the satisfaction of a person he had felt while he was gambling.Even if he lose or win in that time,as long as he enjoyed the game,he is still a winner of his own.And winners are also those gamblers who can control their own emotions not to be addicted on it after a long time spent in gambling.

Winning is what you make of it basically. For some people it's about the prize money, in which case few can be called winners lol. There are also those that, as you've said, is playing for satisfaction and just for the experience. I think this category has more winners than the other one.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I spend the daily expense by playing gambling? on: March 27, 2019, 12:19:05 PM
Is it possible to spend daily expenditure by gambling money? I think this is not possible. If you play gambling, the loss is more than profit. But yes, many people can play gambling very well and they can earn a lot of profit. But I would say gambling is never a profession. So it is better not to earn money by playing gambling. Gambling should play just for fun. You should not spend your pocket money with gambling money.

Thank you

What's your point of telling this? Of course people are already aware that gambling is just for leisure and not for income purposes. Just don't get addicted to gambling or else you would spend all your savings just to play at the casino than to think about your daily expenditure.
Right.Gamble only for fun and entertainment but never gamble aiming that you will make use of your pocket money to increase your profit.Gambling has high percentage of losses so never gamble for income purposes only because surely, you will only lose your money at the end of the day.If you have no extra money, then better not to gamble at all.
Actually I'm sure that there are players who live on gambling, I often see some players have totoal profit of hundreds of bitcoin,
and can play with the amount of tens of bitcoin in a single bet. could he possibly live from gambling with such a profit?
That is the reason they became rich through gambling so when someone think that they have enough luck to live their life through gambling then they will be in trouble.
I believe those whales are not using gambling for living, they have so much money to bet means that they are rich already. Logically they do not need to gamble for living, but of course we do not know the reality. Make a living from gambling is possible for professional gamblers but most of them are not playing in pure luck based games. Most of them are poker players and sports bettors IMO.

Most of the people who got rich in gambling didn't do it through sheer luck. Professional gamblers clocked in a lot of losses in time and money in gaining experience and popularity, enough to make gambling their bread and butter. Expecting to arrive in that level easily is a foolish thought. Especially if you're a small time gambler.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: March 27, 2019, 12:14:58 PM
Even though a lot of good players from Lakers are missing tonight I see this as an easy win for them.

Haha, I'm not the only one who thinks that Lakers are going to win tonight...bro we're fucked, now Lakers are going to lose. I regret my pick.  Grin
I told you in my post that LeBron should fell ashamed with his tram performance this season and they will start winning some games now at the end to try and wash that out. LeBron had a big night with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 14 assists to lead his team to a blowout win

Must be quite refreshing for lakers fans lol. I wonder how it feels to be trying to win just for the sake of it with nothing really to play for anymore. I don't think bron loves the lakers fans anyway. Since they're out of the playoffs picture, i think they should focus on taking some more to get a better chance in the draft lottery and at zion.
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you bet? on: March 27, 2019, 12:09:33 PM
My strategy is to bet with high risk with little money.
If I win I get the biggest return I could, but if I lose I don't bother too much because the money that I have gambled is not that much that can risk my way of living.

It's not much of a risk though if you can afford to lose the amount you bet on. It's not high risk but it's more of a responsible way of gambling. And i'm quite like that as well. I know my chances on certain gambling games and i don't give much attention to the ones that rely on luck and gives me less than 50 percent chance.
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: March 27, 2019, 11:35:04 AM
There have been a lot of true stories about someone losing everything due to gambling. I know most of us probably know someone who met this kind of fate. It's just gambling's nature it seems. To bleed those foolish enough to get addicted to it dry. Some were able to recover while some just didn't have enough luck to get them back on track.
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is Your Favorite Gambling Game? on: March 27, 2019, 11:27:37 AM
Poker all the way. I'm not really into gambling but poker puts me on the table for longer than i plan to. Especially if i'm playing with my friends. I don't know about other gambling games like dice and roulette but the lack of reliance on luck makes this game a lot more enjoyable. The fact that you can bluff your way out of unlucky situations proves it's not just a game of chances.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Do u Like to Bet? on: March 27, 2019, 11:22:27 AM
I like betting in basketball games. I believe that if the sports is the spots you like, then that's the sport you would like to bet. Since, basketball is the type of sports I play and enjoy, that's the sports I like to bet. In basketball games, amazing really happens. Unexpected events occur. Even, underdog team could step up beating great teams that built a dynasty.

It has to be your favorite sports which you bet on so that 2 things can happen in one time. Firstly as it is your favorite sport you enjoy betting or gambling on such things and secondly as you know much more about that sport chances of making money also increases.

Right and a lot of these sports only have either two teams or two competitors. If yoy know a lot about the certain sport, the chances of you getting the correct results are higher than 50 percent. Like in boxing. Usually the favorite to win is backed by previous performances against past opponents so it's not that difficult to select the better fighter.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 27, 2019, 10:17:20 AM
I'm imagining the bad fell that happened to him and it makes feel more than an ouch. Please recover fast Nurkic!

Enough for Nurkic discussion.

Let's discuss the Bucks vs the Rockets game, it ended up a win for the home team, bucks beating the Rockets (108-94)
and although Harden had a double double tonight but he did not score 30+ points, and we know what will happen if their main scoring machine is limited with that score only. Harden is consistent scoring 30+ points every game but got limited tonight, the defense of the Bucks are making it possible.

Correct, if Harden doesn't score 30+ points, then Houston has a problem. And we should give credits where it is due, to the Bucks swarming defense. You can check the stats, Houston just shot 35% from the field and went 16-52 from 3's very strange for Rockets. But then again, the defense is superb and not only that they created a lot of problem and turn-overs for Houston as well. So good game for the Bucks and really showing who is the team to beat in the East.

Exactly, their defense is very high level at this point. Giannis didn't score many today, it was  Eric Bledsoe  who lead the Bucks, but they didn't need Giannis to score more because their team defense really hold Houston Rockets.

Harden only scored 23 points, and didn't have his usual triple double, just 7 assist, another testimony of the good defense that Milwaukee has put and you can also see them missing the usual shots they make.

Bucks has a chance to be the NBA Champion, they have the defense and they are also dominant in rebounding, also don't forget they beat the warriors.
Their road and home record are good and Giannis is hungry to be in the NBA finals.|
I'm just thinking of possibility, if Giannis will not win the MVP this season, but he can still be an NBA Finals MVP if they will reach the NBA Finals.

One good game against one of the nba's top teams isn't any indication of how the bucks will perform in the playoffs though. Just think about the team they beat, houston, who did a very good job dominating in the regular season but falling short of beating the well experienced gsw. Same thing is a big possibility for the young bucks though giannis is really growing to be the top dog in the east after james left for la. One thing's for sure, the east is a lot more interesting this year.
689  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Democracy Yes OR No ??? on: March 27, 2019, 08:59:04 AM
Here are some merits of democracy :
1)It is more accountable
2)The elected leaders need to perform better for their stability
3)Gives the people right to choose among the best
4)It enhances the dignity of a citizen

Demerits of democracy :
1)Leaders keep on changing leads to instability
2)It is all about political competition and power play
3)Elected leaders do not know the best interests of people
4)Democracy leads to corruption.

So which country would you prefer a democratic or non-democratic ?

The things is, democracy would only work in a country wherr leaderd and the population are responsible in majority. It's very easy to manipulate democracy and turn it into something that gives control to a few greedy people. Technicalities can be used to twist the laws and take advantage of what seem to be freedom. To put it simply, it can be manipulated and abused.
690  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Countries where you can easily open a bank account and cash out your crypto on: March 27, 2019, 08:31:54 AM
This is always the same question but I haven't read a satisfying complete answer. Most article or blogs put a list of countries with no real experience or research done.
Let's say I am non American, I travel most of the year, I might be a citizen of an EU country. I 'm looking for a country where I can open a secure  bank account and send money from a crypto exchange with no hassle.
Theory is good but personal experience is better

As far as i know, there are no banks catering direct transfers to an exchange yet. The exchange should have to be directly linked to the bank for that to happen and so far, i can't say i've heard any partnerships yet. And i doubt you'll get a lot if actual experiences using this method as well.
691  Other / Politics & Society / Re: HUMAN LIFE AND THE SOCIETY on: March 27, 2019, 08:22:12 AM
Sometimes I wonder if we are just some species of animals with meat that hover the earth for awhile on earth and when our time on earth is over we just fade off. It is really intriguing to know that time flies so fast that you may not be able to identify your true purpose on earth before you fade. But sincerely, the life of humans should be with a sense of purpose to make life better for all humans.

Interesting subject dude. I agree that believing life has a purpose makes it easier for a lot of people, knowing that after this life there would've another one and where you'll go depends on how you lived the one you're in now. It's kind if comforting right? But what if there isn't? Would it be a waste to live morally? For me it makes life a little more purposeful thinking that we're just spacedust and would return to such after  we're dead. The purpose would be to live it to the fullest while we're still here since there probably won't be a next time for us after this.

693  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shouldn't the goal be no work on: March 26, 2019, 02:37:41 PM
Productivity continues to increase and we will see even greater improvements as technology gets even better.  Shouldn't the end goal be for humans to work less?  The monetary system truly doesn't matter, what matters is the amount of resources we have.  An economic crash doesn't just magically take away the natural resources we have.  If one person could press a button and produce all the things we make now that should be the goal.
I do agree with you sir.  The goal should be really not working.  The world is full of technological intelligence that can reduce the time we actually work and how we can live in abundance.
It may be good for us all that technology is getting innovative from time to time and it actually lessen our work which we always used to but it doesn't mean that all of our works to do should depend on it, most of us become lazy afterward.

Nobody said we'd be relying on technology to do our work for us. Of course not and i don't think that that it's also possible. Less work would be more like it. Who wouldn't want to be paid while doing half the work they're supposed to do? Thst's what technology is for anyways, to make life better and easier for us humans.
694  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The death of cash on: March 26, 2019, 02:22:12 PM
I have a different views about about cash but after reading this your thread and comments others has made I have to change my thinking.  Cash will never die as far as governments is there.  I believe that the wealthy will continue taking the advantage of the poor through the cash system.

Same here. As long as there people in power stay in power and the system itself is the same, cash will always be here. Even when the time comes that crypto is adopted widely, cash will still be a relevant mode of transaction. People need to have a physical item to hold in their hand you know. Bitcoin will also be here in the future but i will not make cash obsolete.
695  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin from Devil or from God? on: March 26, 2019, 02:17:53 PM
Existence of these kind of people made the bitcoin not to be acepted in worldwide yet,who knows there is some one like GOD existed?

The world created from bigbang threory so God didn't created us.
There is God, and it has got proof of existence. I may be wrong, but I believe in it. Second thing when it comes to bitcoin, I consider it as a good and make use of it for good. I've seen people who describe it as illegal and relating it to their religious law and stay away from using it. In this way the bitcoin from devil or God is dependent on the user.
What is the proof you got to show the existense of GOD?

Bible or Quaran? Both were written by us too after many thousand years later, since the human beings sxist here.

Funny how things get a little more interesting when you drag religion in the discussion lol. Do we have to ask also if the spongebob underwear i'm wearing came from god or the devil? 😆 i can't see the connection between bitcoin and these two dieties and it's silly to even considering having a serious answer 😜
696  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why I'm an atheist on: March 26, 2019, 02:07:31 PM
You know what, I can't really blame you for being an atheist. There are lots of people that are like you don't worry. They are making me believe that religion was just created by humans for humanity to have ethics. And most atheist explanation in which when Jesus Christ rose from the dead, they explained it that Jesus Christ rode a flying saucer to rise. So, they say that Jesus is an alien.

But having a different religion is not a case for us. It's your own choice to be in that religion or sect.

Same here. I think it's time we change our views of atheists as baby-eating satan worshipers. I don't think they believe in satan either anyway. I know a couple of nonbelievers and they even have better morals than most theists i know. Respect begets respect so let's just let people be with what they want  to believe. Having theists and atheists for friends make up for a good discussion over beer.
697  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is banning weapons such a good thing? on: March 26, 2019, 02:03:49 PM
Banning of weapons all over the world might result to the world peace many people believed and dreamed of. However, no country will be able to agree in this thing. Why? It's because different country have already allotted money for their defense in case of an attack from different country. Not only that, but also if they have terrorist in their own country. Second thought is that weapons are also technology. And since we are in the age in which we are experiencing great development of almost everything, technology are developing, thus weapons are developing also. Imagine what a person that put a lot of money in the development of a thing and then a person with authority will ban that thing. They'll feel bad and that'll result into chaos.

The only thing we can do is to have peace talks if there is a developing chaos.

No, it just doesn't work. Some form of control, with with a permit or license is ok, but outright ban is useless..

When you outlaw guns, only outlaws carry guns, which means its meaningless. Furthermore, as seen in my country, the outlaws will start killing the last remaining people legally carrying them (ie. Police, military, etc), to obtain more.

Lets talk school shootings. Imagine every teacher has a gun, next time a shooter comes they will be shot quickly. Of course metal detector should be at all entrances with armed guards. This should work as a deterrent, like in a lawless society everyone carrying a gun in itself deters others from doing wrong.

When you ban weapons, the killer would go to the school armed anyway, and without any resistance cause a large amount of deaths.

You could ban military grade weapons from the hands of civilians, but that doesn't stop civilians from getting them, it just increases the price and the risks for lawful persons to posses one. The unlawful won't care. In that case your police/military forces better be ready to deal with those owning one...

Here? They get military weapons in prison, let alone in the street... Of course guns are "banned", but as i said, the wrongdoers don't care...

Wasn't Swiss or somewhere every family does in fact keep at least a rifle (to deter invaders)? Yet their society is very peaceful?

I agree. Ban it or not, people will have access to guns. You just make more lawbreakers if such law is implemented. Proper law enforcement would be a more likely solution. There are already laws about gun ownership but the government must be clear on it's stand  and regulate the proper use of firearms firmly with fair monitoring to both registered and non registered owners.
698  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll: Is the creation of artificial superinteligence dangerous? on: March 26, 2019, 01:58:29 PM
I attended a seminar in which it talked about AI. I really enjoyed that seminar in which we thought that AI could be the solution in the overgrowing pollution, in climate change. I think that AI could be a threat and at the same time, AI could be helpful to humanity. I think it's good for us to have AI on our side since it can bring a better world for us. Right now we are really hurting mother nature. And because of that, our suffering became worse. AI could be good for us but it needs moderation, for AI could destroy us all with domination around the globe.

I agree. Weigh the positive and negative effects of a super ai and i think it'll lean more on the former than the latter. Technology is progressing because we ourselves are becoming more intelligent. I don't think there will be a time when ai will be able to overthrow human minds. We're adaptable. We react to terrible situations so we can survive. Ai will always need humans to run the show.
699  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: March 26, 2019, 01:52:47 PM
Based on the definition of the word Atheist its meaning is not believing in God and you said that that you do not believe in religion so you are not an atheist but simply anti-religion. Not all religions have God some are just composed of rules, laws and teachings on morality and related beliefs. There are people who believe there is a supreme being called god while they do not want to belong to any religion at all.

With so many religions popping up here and there and so many versions of god from way back in history,  it's not a surprise that some peoole just decide not to believe at all. I've read arguments of atheists, agnostics and theists, mainly christians, and some atheist points have valid grounds. We can all live with different beliefs so i'd say stop the hate altogether and just respect what other people want to believe.

The way I see it, as long as the government is run by humans, I will hold my guns.
Would you give up your guns once the chimpanzees take over the government, Planet of the Apes style?  Wink

Lol. I'm not losing hope on us though. There still are a lot of people who values humanity over greed and power. The world is already full of negative happenings and giving up isn't a solution. Think about all the good and selfless deeds that everyday people do. They don't deserve to be generalized among the charlatans. I believe small good deeds does make a difference especially in times like these.
