Hello. I like to add TIPS on alcurEX but will need to some help. wallet windows version not pass our virus scan and can't find any other qt or daemon. I can compile it from source on later, or use linux wallet but currently i have only win server for "less trusted" coins. Any tips  -halibit- Mar 9, 2016 at 14:10 Attention! EDIT: The BTER deposit service has been restored since ~11th March and is working flawless since then has been working flawless until about 30min after I posted this message. I agree completely about getting TIPS on even more exchanges, however most require a website and a working block explorer to list coins and we probably need to tackle these issues first before approaching other exchanges.
I think we can present a working blockexplorer in the early days of next week So BE should be coming next days too. Missing website is a problem though, agreed and the problem regarding lost access to domains hasn't been resolved yet. I can offer "fedoracoin.biz" and "fedoracoin.co" at no charge but will need someone else to create the site or transfer existing site. Both names are parked and ready to use. Let me know if anyone wants to develop them. |

No doubt fractional reserve is a problem, but I dont believe you can just rip it away without serious consequences. DNotes plan makes the most sense to me, to become a global supplemental digital currency, over time this can be a pathway to replacement of fractional reserve systems and debt based economy.
The double spending attack is just thrown in there without any regards to context. This is why we have confirmations, to prevent double spending.
Its a shame, and, irresponsible when the media uses terms and references they don't really understand. Reporters are more interested in the page view than the content and that is becoming a big problem across the board not just crypto-currency. There's a very old saying the media needs to re-aquaint itself with: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." |

I was mining for a long time in DNotespool, is sad, but just now pool not have enought hash to run profitable. long long time between blocks found
im having issues of loosing hash, i conect 7 mhash 2 days pass i have 6 mhash two days pass i have 5 mhash 1 week i have little bit moar than 4.3 mhash, maybe i just a sucker blowing my internet just to know if this happen to other miners in pool or is just my problem.

VERY interesting! I've experienced the exact same thing. Start with around 80 MH/s and watch it slowly drop over a period of several days until it's down to 4 to 5 MH/S. This happens AFTER the DIFF settles. If I reset the miners and reconnect, it goes back to normal and repeats the cycle. I thought it was my end for while but don't seem to have the issue on most other pools although a couple do the same thing but over a much longer time period. Any ideas would be welcome... I can't say with certainty, but I believe that is because the way vardiff is setup on DNotesPool. Maybe you can give me a few examples of ones that do not do it so I can see what the difference might be? Also, for DNotes supporters who wish support DNotes by mining at a dedicated pool, send me a PM and I will setup an additional reward structure if you want to dedicate some of your hashing power to a DNotes dedicated pool over the next 6-12 months. Hardcoreminers is currently experiencing some sort of difficulty, if you are currently pointing hash at the NLG Hardcoreminers pool please redirect it toward a different Gulden pool until the issue is rectified.

Spelled out: they add a deposit bonus while deposits are still not working properly.. raises some suspicions with me and remotely reminds me of Cryptsys "withdraw-tax"...
Yes but did you see that BTER has 1% on everycoin? And if you withdraw your coins you lose the bonus again? By this bter is getting a bit more from the 0.2% fee because with 1,000,000 TIPS deposited you can trade like if it would be 1,010,000 TIPS meaning a bit more of the 0.2% fee if i didn't calculate wrong  Thank you for your explanation testbug. I didn't see the 1% bonus on any other coin I am depositing at BTER, I checked KDC and CNC and both have no bonus. Also I am unsure if anything on withdraws has changed, can't really remember if the 1% was there before or is new now, but you are right: You get 1% on deposit pay more fee for trading with it and then pay 1% on withdraw. I got a reply to my ticket today and wanted to share an important part of it with those among you that deposit TIPS to BTER: Please note, we are going to update to a new wallet to offer better deposit experience. That's where the real win-win is: paid to play is unsustainable promo, whereas mining when not playing generates real income for them while also strengthening the network for everyone at the same time.

Actually, not so much the leaving of Hearn but the infighting and inability to come to a consensus since he stepped away. The industry is doing everything to prove him right while saying he was wrong. This needs to stop. We need a strong leader to step forward and put all this crap to bed before people get desensitized and move on to new things. You only have the public's attention for so long and it needs to be good attention in order to grow and thrive. |
