It unfortunate that this hacking issue happen to kucoin which seems to be among the crypto exchange site that is making waves these days and this hacking situation may affect there service cause some crypto users will choose not to use it. However, I like the fact that they are able to shake it off and continue their activities as normal.
Nevertheless, since the hacker decide to sell the stolen coin early then theres chance for them to be capture soon just like Twitter hackers.

Is there any advantages that I am missing here, compared to Chipmixer, Samourai and Wasabi wallets?
Both Samourai and Wasabi wallet are more transparent and you have full control your Bitcoin all the time. I would use both over any kinds of mixer. I think you miss the part all SPV wallets cant be used alone when security/anonymity is the top priority and with the statement made by CipherTrace, chain analysis, etc I think people need to be more careful when using SPV wallet. Mind you, the shortcoming detected about Wasabi that a large amount of transaction can be bypass and I once a thread where Theymos advise the use of a mixer and SPV wallet when anonymity is the top priority. |

I'd love to see GOLD also on WAVES chain for example.
So they could follow the idea integrated by Tether when they choose to use 3 blockchain? But waves is one of the worse smart contract networks and if the team decide to put your advice to work I think they have to choose a strong and secure decentralized network. Many people are discussing about transaction fee on ETH network but no one has mentioned about how to cancel stucked transactions and replace them with a new one. Advantages are you can apply those steps to cancel or replace transactions. Disadvantages are you won't get 100% success rate.
You are absolutely righf cause this need go be discussed to help the newbies and one of the disadvantages cancel and replace a stuck transaction with another one on ETH network is fhat the previous transaction fee wont be refunded. |

The significant impact of the DEFI project on the market for me personally is the ridiculously high cost of GAS for any altcoin that uses the ETH blochain. it is ironic that DEFI can make such a huge fomo in the market that makes dumps and pumps so significant every day.
It understandable that Defi market led to the high cost of transaction fee in the ETH network though I believe you guys are after the negative concussion caused by the Defi market than the positive because Defi also make some investors join the crypto investment and pump the total cap of crypto market. However, we need to understand that every great opportunity will have great risk and if ETH successfully launch there 2.0 network the high gas fee wont be an issue. |

Back in the year 2016, the price movement of Bitcoin was really crazy and I was among those that sold all their holding before the price was at peak cause I joined crypto that year with no experience. However, despite danger done by the pandemic I expect history to repeat it self next year.
You still did better than people who bought at 19 thousand or more and sold below 10. Makes me wonder what the price will be in 4 years. The beauty of the Internet makes it all on the record. When people were investing in stocks 50 years ago they were wondering just like we are now but there's now way to recall their exact words. Nobody knew what the prices will be and you could hear plenty of naysayers. Now you just can't imagine that somebody would not see the value in tech companies. I know selling at such price is still profitable than those that bought during the last ATH and sold at $10K price range but when thinking about the possible profit I would have made during the last ATH it hurts. Meanwhile, it certain that the price of Bitcoin will bring goodies smile to the face of many investors that was maybe to hold their coins in the next for years because the exposure is getting better every day especially when the pandemic has shown the potential of Bitcoin to the World. In the meantime, let's wait and see what will happen after this year presidential debate. |

However, small investors are restricted from invest or trade crypto. For example, close to 80% of XRP is being held in cold storage and therefore not in free-float. But for calculating market cap, this 80% is also included.
It was actually 60% and it was owned by XRP creator. However, it was not completely kept in cold storage And this inflates the market capitalization of Ripple.
It was used to manipulate XRP market. Mind you, its XRP not Ripple cause Ripple is the company technology while XRP is the company crypto. |

But when i try to ay with bitcoin like 1000 ruppes i have to pay around 120 ruppes in fees to get the transaction done in 10minutes . So for a order of 1000 i have to pay 1120 ruppes and also wait for 10minutes for the transaction to be done .
So why is bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency more reliable or disruptive if it cant even help me in paying a simple small amount . Can somebody lease elaborate what i am missing here . Thanks in advance
Bitcoin (cryptocurrency) decentralized and is the inexpensive means of making global transaction despite it being cheap there are some certain (high traffic, mempool size etc) that influence the transaction fee and the transaction fee are paid to the miners that maintain the network and also make sure each transaction are confirmed. I live in india and here we can use UPI like google pay and phonepay to easily pay money within seconds and a touch and no extra cost or transaction fees is taken .
I dont understand what you mean by no transaction fees is taken by UPI because there no way they will offer their seevice for free and the last time I check they will need some fund to manage their site, pay their staff etc.

Then i no longer used electrum. I used a nano ledger s and store coins there. But I did not type in my nano ledger seed in lastpass and thus did not store that in gmail/dropbox. But again if i did... well a hacker would need to first hack into my gmail/dropbox... then get into the lastpass or keepass etc. Wouldn't that be very hard? And imagine you encrypt lastpass as well. Wouldn't that be way too hard?
You need to understand that, the lastpass or keepass are operate by third parties and saving of private keys or seeds in an email is the most vulnerable part. However, I will advise you to know off hand the last 5 words in your seed while you save the rest on flash, papper and bank vault. But for total secure of your seed or private youll need to order for a Quadrat metal bitcoin seed/private keys storage which has proven grade A through all series (fire etc) of test. |

After all, there was an entry here that KYC makes no sense at all and even helps criminals to act at the expense of innocent victims. This is all one big absurdity!
Firstly, I believe this is not the first time paxful will ask their user to go through some KYC before he/she can access his/her fund and if you search through this forum you will understand that youre the first victim but I believe they usually do that when they notice something fishy account the account or some report the account accordly to their rules/regualtions. Meanwhile, KYC make no sense within the crypto community but to P2P and centralized exchange site it a real deal. However, KYC help criminals at the expense innocent victim if a data breach occur. I will advise you not to use p2p and centralized exchange you dont trust or understand their rules and regulations in future. |

A visit to the website ' https://rope.lol/" has a BOLD Image of a hanging rope with further inscription 'Do not buy it' followed with a grinding face that looked like someone who got scammed. In a summary, the webpage is saying. do not buy 'ROPE' you could loose everything and you will regret it. Out of curiosity, check out the token site and it hard to believe that the whole concept of the project is all a joke FOMO But the reverse is the case. As a matter of fact. this token made 118%
within 24 hours of listing and have a volume of 5 millions usd on Uniswap.
Not all liquidity are gain in genuine way and the liquidity you saw on Uniswap can be manipulated by project team cause there are company that execute it for new project. My observation on this. Most people no longer care about the objectives of a project. they just want to Make GAINS.
the days of do your Research is fast diminishing and most market users cared less about what they do with their money that they can invest on a project with BOLD description "this is a scam' as long as there is a return.

Note this, ever since uniswap launched their UNI airdrop (which was tagged as the most expensive airdrop in crypto history) Uniswap have been the homeland of all crypto project scammer, they also understand that the airdrop they did will travel genuine and cheat priject to their platform and thats the reason why they provide a warning note whenever people want to buy token on their site. With that been said, we still can be sure if investors don't do research anymore cause 97% of all new project are hype base and what they do is to buy traffic/liquidity but I hope naive investors won't be a victim of these tricks. |

Thats correct but with my research other DT member ( user tmfp) also add the Yobit signature participants to his distrusted list. It doesn't even make sense to negative tag the participants. There are more or less unresolved issue with some of the projects here and still they are operating their business without no issue. Then there's no point of tagging the participants at all. And yeah, yobit is a proven heaven for scam shit (recent minex shit is another scam). If they can promote themselves here, why not others?
Though the forum dont moderate scam but dont you think the forum members have to do something within ourselves to stop the accused project from operating campaign on here. Mind you, something was done about 1xbit why not livecoin either? If they really intend to promote, they should just resolve their issues in the past and go on otherwise the users in the forum will continue to block them from conducting a successful promotion here. Thats the point. they can do it somewhere else like in youtube or other crypto forums but all they can hope for is its success on other forums to make livecoin visible which its highly impossible to happen when done somewhere else.

Completely useless projects in our crisis covid days
It good to understand the depth of the crisis caused by the COVID 19 and during this season no company in the world will spend billions of dollars on a project that is completely useless not to talk of the years spent before the project was successfully created. Understand that you know the content of novel just by looking at it. It too early to know the genuine reason for the creation of the giant Gundam but we will understand sooner or later. |
