681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I the only one this unlucky during my entry into investments and crypto? on: November 21, 2017, 10:30:37 AM
I would like to hear some unlucky stories of people to give myself hope and not just disappointment. Any stories where you got in and lost money and later came back up?

So after a bit of research and all, i start with 1 eth and around that time, the price was 329. I joined binance, i am a noob so i put in just 0.3 eth for learning. I sold 0.1 eth at 331 when that was the highest price for the day, i felt good and bought back a bit cheaper. I did it again, but the price this time kept going up. So I couldnt sell, i had 0.10 more, so i sold it at 334.5 when the highest price that day was like 35.6. I had kept 0.05 eth just for saving, and bought bnb for 0.05 eth. So I needed to buy back 0.2 eth but the price hit 350 that day  and then kept going on. Losing opportunities when price was getting higher felt shitty, but i saw bch fell down to 1155, so i bought it. As soon as I got it, it fell down till 130 or lower lol. I didnt want to sell at lower than what i got it at, so i waited till it got back to 1155, and sold at 1156. The moment I sold, the price spiked and went up to 1180 and quickly to 1999, i remember seeing it at 1300 so i bought it quickly thinking i will still have profit. But when i got done buying at 1199, it went down to 1170 and stayed that way  for the whole day. Earlier today, I managed  to sell it when bch hit 1250, and then i bought back almost the same amount at 1230.  I had a small gain but I was happy and learning. But then, tether had to fuck up shit and everything went down. I panicked. In the end, i ended up converting the bch to eth at a loss, from 0.2 eth worth to 0.18 eth, then sold eth as well thinking it will go down more, would be better to buy at lower. But no in few hours the price slowly started getting back, and I fucked up. I had to buy back at more than what I sold at. I also had invested 0.7 eth into tokens, there was QSP, the price at which it was bought was like 0.00020 eth, and sold it at 0.00021 before it got even lower. I had invested 0.2eth into this to see and just when it came to market, it fucked shit up, i sold the eth from it too. I also had bought cindicator tokens for 0.2 eth, i sold those too, thinking the price is going dowwn I will buy back later, i sold it for 0.18 eth. Basically this shit completely tilted me, and while I learned a lot from this experience, makes me want to just feel so fucking unlucky. Do I still have hope?>
I have done the same mistake when I was a newbie albeit on a different coin so you still have hope. You are not fucking unlucky, you just picked up the wrong coin to trade. Always remember to not sell at a loss but not sell on prices that will give you minimal gains. Try to hodl it for more than a day, daytrading is not viable if market is not that volatile in the first place and it carries a lot of risk. Reading a lot about crypto will help you. I am sure that after some months, you'll be gaining a hefty sum of profit if you just hodl coins with potential.
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 100% GAIN? on: November 20, 2017, 09:51:48 PM
Which of the 25 coins with a market cap above $ 300M will be doubled in value by the end of this year? or will not a single coin make it?
Will there be a huge end-of-year rally, as many think / hope?
I put my hopes on NEO and IOTA but it is still not certain that one will gain 100% just by holding it from now until the end of the year and for this reason I voted none of the above. I might change my mind if I see more convincing factor that NEO and IOTA will give me a 100% gain by the end of the year but one thing is for certain, holding these two will give me a good sum of profit and I am ready to hold them till the end of 2018 if necessary.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future price on: November 20, 2017, 01:50:55 PM
Will waves follow similar steps as eth did?
Probably, the possibility of it is not that low but it aint that high either therefore there is a chance that it will happen so I answered yes. Although that is the case, I myself thinks that it is too soon for waves to reach the speculated price by the said time. Probably it will reach those prices if bitcoin price is higher than 20,000$ or more in the future. That future ain't as near as 2018 though so I think the chance of it happening is low.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin price is stable now but I don't see any bullish Alts now? on: November 20, 2017, 12:30:30 PM
Don't see nothing exploding yet in Alts. So I gotta wait next spring for Alts? Why spring?
Just wait there will be a bullish trend in one of the alts soon enough. I don't know which coin(s) will go on a bullish trend by that time but one thing is for sure, the one that will pump is one of those alts that have been undervalued for too long and is just sleeping at the moment. You don't need to wait for spring, just always check coinmarketcap and see if an alt pumped or not. Just always continue looking at the price everyday and eventually you will see a huge jump in price on some alts.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 300$ to put on alts on: November 20, 2017, 11:19:14 AM
Hey all ,

i have 300$ to put on alts till January or February

what alts do you suggest

been doing my homework and researching about (Decred , Waves, OmiseGo , District0x)

waves and omisego looks the most promising for me now

all your opinions are respected and also suggesting some ICOs are welcome
You have done well in reasearching your coins, just continue to invest in them. IMO you will gain a hefty sum of profit, just put most of your stash in waves and omisego. Put a little on district 0x and put the rest on Decred. In terms of ICO, I suggest you spectre.ai ICO and ditcoin. IMO this two ICO would be a good coin in the future, it has the most potential among the ICO's that I see nowadays. Still, remember to do your due research before investing onto them.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Could Soon Casper Testnet, than price 0.1 btc ? on: November 19, 2017, 12:33:08 PM
Do you have any idea how much ethereum needed to lease like we do in waves? Is it really 250 ETH? Any source is greatly appreciated.

For POS, 1.000 ETH is really high amount, I'm surprised, it's almost $350,000 with the current price.
It is too much for a minimum if 1,000 ETH requirement turns out to be true. I hope they would reconsider if they won't, there will be less users that would stake on them when compared to waves and it might become ETH's downfall. Still, it wont change the fact that ETH is a good coin to use for smart contracts. I hope they will lower stake requirement to at least 50 ETH, I think more people would find this just right for minimum.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in Altcoins on: November 19, 2017, 10:56:57 AM
if you have 1000$ and want to invest it in which altcoins will make it Huh

-BCH
-BTG
-ETH
-others
I would temporarily go with ETH. Why? Because the sell wall that is stopping it's growth is nearing it's limit and t is sure to pump after it has been broken. I won't invest on it long term though, I would instantly sell it as early as I got a profit. If you are planning to hodl long term, I suggest you find better coins for long term hold with less risk like waves. Look for undervalued coins, I am sure they would give you a hefty sum in the future if you held them long enough and sold at the right time.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC price 100 USD? on: November 19, 2017, 10:00:27 AM
It is up to 68 USD now, do you guys think it will act like bit coin cash and go up like crazy?
I don't think that it will act like bitcoin cash since I believe that ltc pump is not manipulated unlike BCH. It won't go up that crazy but it might continue it's upward movement slowly but surely, until it reached new All Time High. If it were to follow the same trend as BCH it won't be healthy for the litecoin market, it would surely go down again soon and will go back to slumber and will be stable at a low price again for a long time. There's also the probability of it dumping soon.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTG going down, many bad rumors, what to think ? on: November 19, 2017, 09:16:25 AM
19th November, BTG is still going down.
I read several complaints about either the btgpool not paying the miners, the founder having a% of every transaction, scam wallet that were proposed on the official website and were removed after they stole millions, and probably more complaints...

Also rumors about having manipulated the price etc...(pump and dump scam )

If I have bought BTG ( so not received for free because I had no BTC and I'm newbee), @ 0.035; 0.034; 0.020 ; 0.019; 0.017 and 0.016 which is between 260-270$  and 130-140$ , (total 8.89 BTG), is it worth it to keep them in the hope of an increasing price, sell partially trying not to lose too much, or try to get rid of them ?

What do you guys think about all this?

Think what you want with it, you are free to think that it still have potential in it. IMO BTG is worse than BCH and it is just normal for it to go down, there ain't much buy demand for it, there are more people that wants to sell it rather than buy it. If I were you I would have not even dare to buy it. Since you have bought it, it is a waste just to sell them with a loss. It is either you sell it with profit or you baghold it forever. Do not sell it now, there is a chance that some would attempt to manipulate it too, like what happened with Bitcoin Cash.
690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will this bitcoin bubble stop at 10-12K or not? on: November 18, 2017, 10:48:22 PM
They (the govs) will not shut down bitcoin. Bitcoin is now working in all countries favor, is working towards improving the international commerce, the question is if I will have to wait until I'm an old man to visit Monte Carlo (I'm from a "poor" Eastern European country).

Exactly and this is the same sane reason why I believe that bitcoin would continue it's upward trend slowly but surely. This ain't like 2013 anymore where the pump has been manipulated, the current rise in price IMO is genuine but it is a bit overpriced and it is normal that in times, btc would have to correct but it won't dump big time. I can't imagine it happening easily with a constant stream of demands right now generated in Japan and other countries that have legalized btc.
691  Economy / Speculation / Re: price Or fee on: November 17, 2017, 03:57:31 PM
Which important for you price increase or fee decrease Huh or other factors
What's more important for me is fee decrease but I would like to have both ideally but for now bitcoin needs development in order to achieve this seem to be a pipe dream for now without sacrificing one. Blockchain needs to be able to accommodate a lot of transactions with cheap fees if it were to be mainstream. People would not want to use bitcoin because of high fees. For this reason I would rather to have btc price decrease and fee decrease than having them both increase at the same time.
692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin drop to $3000? on: November 17, 2017, 12:47:13 PM
Yes, i cant imagine it at all that it will hit $3000, what people think when they see it is a damn cheap bitcoin, even if it only touch $4000.
I can imagine it. The scenario that I imagined when this happen is the hacking of many major exchanges now like what happened to mt. Gox but it is impossible to happen soon. Another scenario that I imagine is a scene similar to the last one but instead of exchanges being hacked, it would be massive hacking of wallets but like the other scenario, ot other bad news that will affect btc market on a major scale, but it won't happen soon. Like you said though, it would just be a good entry point and rebuy point for all of us.
693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin towards to $8000 on: November 17, 2017, 10:57:54 AM
Bitcoin towards to $8000, whether the exact reasons why bitcoin prices rise so fast?
What to do now, sell or keep hodling?
You should keep holding now until bitcoin reaches 8000$ for real. Sell it only a portion after 8000$ price has been achieved and hodl the rest. That way you would not have to fell regretful when price goes down and you also won't regret selling early when it goes up more. Anyhow, it would be wiser to diversify your money on many different cryptocurrencies for more profit here in crypto world. Bitcoin is not the only crypto with potential so learn how to pick good coins with potential before doing this.
694  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin UP BitCoinCash DOWN on: November 17, 2017, 09:21:07 AM
Both prices are driven by speculations and it's normal to have fluctuations. But I must admit I like what is happening with Bitcoin Cash after the last week attack against Bitcoin. The attack cost me a lot of overpaid fees and nerves.
The past few days really costed a lot of overpaid fees, but it was worthwhile and very profitable. Anyone who joined the current action in bch and held it from the start made a nice profit. Also those who rebuy bitcoin when it had gone down to below 6500$ profitted nicely too. I'm sorry for those who bought at BCH peak though they surely have lost some money now. Still, for me it is nice because it made me a good sum of profit. IMO everything is not back to normal yet. Just wait there will be more action.
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: And We Are Back In The Game! on: November 16, 2017, 09:55:25 PM
The bleeding already stop and it is now climbing back! It even broke $7500 mark and the pricing is currently at $7700. Better days ahead and we might reach $8000 in less than a month or so.
We might also see higher prices than that, bitcoin is climbing up at a good rate IMO and at this rate it might even climb to 8500$ before the end of this year. By Christmas eve, there might be a significant boost in price for all coins considering that people by that time would have had invested more money from their 13 month pay. I am sure that a lot of action will happen a week before new years eve. For now, I can say at least that what's happening right now is truly enjoyable.
696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction Poll on: November 16, 2017, 01:57:59 PM
Predict the bitcoin Price

Alternately, you can also participate in the twitter poll

https://twitter.com/click2win/status/930799551341924352

It should reach 8000$ before the end of this year, maybe even somewhere between 8000$-10,000$ range and for this reason I voted it on the poll. It should go there if things continue the way they are, bitcoin recovering while BCH dumping. If it doesn't and bitcoin shows bearish trend, we might see the price below 6800$ again by the end of the year. Other probability is that bitcoin will be stable to it's current price ranges but it is very unlikely because there is a lot of news that  might affect btc's price.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTG (BItcoin-Gold) Will be the Next BCH - Like it or Not it Will Happen on: November 16, 2017, 09:17:57 AM
Well since the whales and the miners joined forces we had witness one of the biggest pump and dump scheme which what happened on BCH a few days ago and thus it lost all of its credibility. I believe they have profited a lot and it was a success so there's a decent possibility that they might do it again but its not limited on BTG imo although theres a huge chance for BTG because of their private premine.
It is possible but a very risky investment. It would be a high risk high return investment if ever BTG pumped crazy like BCH. There's no doubt that if they plan to manipulate a coin now, it would be BTG since it is the only recent bitcoin fork that have been sitting for low price for some time. Also, BTG dev might be someone from the miners who manipulated BCH and they might try manipulating BTG as well for it to go to the moon.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BITCOIN GOLD SCAM SITE mybtgwallet.com on: November 16, 2017, 08:08:11 AM
This website was on the official BTG page until a few hours ago.
Between 20-40 BTC were stolen by this website from the users trying to claim BTG for the BTC they had before the fork.
The users imput their mnemonics from BTC wallets in order to get the BTG wallet and private key.
This website used this menmonic to get access to the specified BTC account and empty it in a second.
After getting the BTC from those accounts the strange thing is that not for all the BTC account stolen, the scammer did not claim BTG although he had all info.

I built a community (https://join.slack.com/t/stolenbtc/shared_invite/enQtMjczNzMxOTM5MjIyLTNhZWRlNjNmMGUwOGJlYzFlMGZhNTIxMjA1ZWJhZmU1YTJjOTY3NTQ3Y2Q2YWE5NTc5NzAxZTRlYzAzYmEzMzA) with all the people that I could find that were ripped by this scammer and I helped a few of them to claim their btg. Feel free to join.

Some of the users claim that they lost up to 43 BTC.

Keep in touch.
Since it is in btg official webpage maybe developer of BTG is in cahoots with the one who stole btc, and they both have agreed to not claim btg's. It won't be listed on bitcoin gold official page unless my speculation is true. The fact that it got listed on their official page means that the developer might have had something to do with them or knows the scammer really well. For now wait for official announcement from btg dev, you can also go to services section and try to hire a skilled tracker to track the thief.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: yobit.net Scam or not ? on: November 16, 2017, 07:03:59 AM
Thanks... got the answer i was looking for...
You are welcome. Don't hesitate to ask here again if you want some alt related questions to be answered.
Maybe you spend a lot of money and energy on a free token, and you end up with a dollar that's less than $10. Isn't it a waste of time, hahaha.
In addition, I think the exchange is still trustworthy about the yobit exchange, but the total volume of transactions is very small and may not be suitable for a large number of transactions.
Oh really? Then try selling those shitcoins you get on yobit.net  for free if you can after all most on the free coins are coins that have no value at all. One would be lucky to even get 10$ out of it in a month, it is really a waste of time collecting them, most of those shitcoins have huge buy walls at 1 satoshi on yobit exchange. I don't criticize yobit though it is a good exchange IMO.
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO on: November 15, 2017, 10:14:11 PM
What are the top 3 coins in the market?
Right now, the top 3 coins are btc, ethereum and bitcoin cash based on marketcap according to coinmarketcap. It changes from time to time though depending on what is gaining and losing dominance in market. To be always updated, just go to the website of coinmarketcap, it is always updated real time. If you are looking for top 3 coins based on trading volume and others you can also go there, they have a list for that.
