681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which good altcoins can I hold along with Bitcoin for the upcoming halving? on: December 04, 2023, 06:17:08 PM
There are hundreds of options. I'm just gonna focus on ETH now, I think it's a solid choice.
Much better choice to stick only to one or to a very few of it where you'll be able to feel the true impact of the volatility and price movements.

Because if it's too scattered in so many altcoins, and you only have got hundreds to invest. There's still some gains but the impact will be little because the other altcoins that you might choose could be dropping.

While some of yours are pumping. That's why this is a sound plan and as no argument needed, ETH is one of the best choice.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Money laundering in crypto casino on: December 04, 2023, 03:46:51 PM
That is why they have KYC in order for them to track down money laundering activities. Because if there is no kyc for most casinos, they have already been flagged down by the government.

But since they comply and they do it with due diligence and enforcing it, they wont be hot in the eyes of the regulators.
True! KYC is the key, but there are many gamblers or users of the website with KYC don't want to undergo KYC as they concern about their information without knowing that KYC serves as their security and the casino's compliance to the law, you see as you said KYC is implemented to avoid money laundering to track the doer if they did something like illicit activities including money laundering, crypto casino gambling sites are being subject to be used by those who has illicit activities, so this should be a lesson for everyone that no matter what your concern is comply in KYC first because some or mostly crypto casino do requires KYC first before you can withdraw your money, to avoid locking of funds. Also, you will comply with KYC if you know you will not be doing anything; otherwise, you will have a problem withdrawing your funds from the platform.
There are casinos that don't want also to ask customers with KYC but as the government hardly enforcing their policies and regulations, the casinos have to obey. And if they're giving some privilege of not asking for KYC for many players, enjoy it because you'll never know that soon they'd be enforcing it as mandatory to everyone.

While there are still few that are in existence that are kyc-free but it doesn't mean that they wouldn't ask for kyc for the other customers that they have.

And when there's the suspicion of the casino from a certain customer, then that's one reason why they enforces it to one.
683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will Bitvavo share my BTC holdings with the government? on: December 04, 2023, 02:10:03 PM
Is bitvavo popular there in your country? Honestly, I have never heard anything from that exchange but if you're fine using them and you have proved them to be legit, all on you.

And about such amounts, I think you should be patient and don't do the 2 times 10k deposit because even if they say so that it's fine. That amount is likely a lot for a transaction.

I've read before that what if you do like $1k or $2k per transaction as that won't trigger them from asking why is that amount being made and transferred by you.

Quite a few people use it but none of them have been visited by a tax agent. I expect this to happen soon, as part of the fight from the government. These people have a false sense of security and banks are getting nervous about losing liquidity.

I see a plan to avoid these hawks ripping me to pieces:

I spread my initial 15k investment amongst 3 people:
- Me
- My wife (I transfer 5k to her now. Banks will see this, but she is the real owner)
- My father (I give him 5k later)

When the money is paid, I make my mother in law (who lives outside of the EU and is almost 80 years old) go through KYC.
We manage her account though. There was never a bank transfer (fiat to BTC) in her name, so banks in Brazil will not expect anything. There will only be a crypto transaction of our 3 accounts here, to hers. She doesn't live here so our government can not tax her.

When the tax hawks come for me, I say that all BTC has been transfered to my non EU family member as a donation. Because BTC taxes in her country (Brazil) are much friendlier. I can also prove this with my transaction history. This is like someone trying to take my money at gunpoint, and then realizing that there is nothing to steal. I don't think they will contact the authorities in Brazil because there's nothing in it for themselves.
I've read a lot of people that does this but it varies from country to country and if you see some holes that you can do that and you are doing it legally, you know more about the laws and taxes on your country.

However with my mother in law at 78 years old.. What happens if she passes away with 500k euros worth of BTC on her name?
I wonder if it ever gets to a point where we actively need her fingerprint or live camera footage to transfer her BTC holdings in 2035, for example
Exchanges have this sense and notice that a family member that's immediate to the deceased user may file and prove that they're a family/relative to claim what's left on the deceased user's account.

685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Keeping Numbers Or You Allow The Machine To Pick Your Numbers To Bet on: December 02, 2023, 09:47:42 PM
I remember my old neighbors before that they used to pick the same numbers and that's why despite that they have won a few times but not jackpots but combinations that has a prize still.

I don't get into lottery but if I get into, I'll just let the machine generate numbers for me. Why? Because I think that there's an algorithm through these machines that might get into the jackpot accidentally.

Well, what a reason right? But that's just me and that's what I think if ever I'll do.

687  Economy / Gambling / Re: BK8 - Biggest and Most Trusted Brand. Asia's #1 Crypto online casino BTC & USDT on: December 02, 2023, 11:39:30 AM
In the end, BK8 is willing to refund the player's deposit, totaling MYR 549.21. However, the user refuses to accept this refund and insists on being paid in full, including the voided bet amount.
This is a better ending and decision rather than confiscating or freezing the fund. I guess this is a standard operation for most casinos and so for BK8 and the user should just accept the consequence which was a good one on his end since he's got caught.

You're in their platform and they've got evidence to what's been investigated so, if he don't want to accept the refund, there's nothing much to do on it until he changes his mind.
688  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CryptoSteel - for Seed Phrase and Password Storage on: December 02, 2023, 10:09:15 AM
Looks good but help me understand, so the seed phrases are going to be written on a copper or steel plate that shall be fit to that cryptosteel?

Am I understanding it correctly? Because in my understanding, based on the images the words are written on those circle tiles and it shall be there, right?

So on ledger shop it costs €82.50. Better to hear a personal experience from someone who owns it.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC20 or BEP20? on: December 01, 2023, 11:11:13 PM
For me, when I do transfers to TRC20 with my USDT, I don't find it cheap. But it doesn't mean that it's expensive, I think it's just in the middle.

I can still afford and not find it too expensive but with the comparison. It's just like cents to a few bucks of comparison and that's not hurting me. What's good here is that we've got choices on these networks when we want to transfer and receive USDT.

So when we move funds, it won't cost that much and we've got options.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: December 01, 2023, 09:49:09 PM
That is because AIs can tell things that "might" happen based on the data that it gathers but it cannot accurately say what's actually will be the result.

For this, you ask an AI about the future price of Bitcoin and it's going to decline any prediction. And the same goes for betting, it's a future result that don't have accurate details on it.

So, if you guys are smart enough, these AIs are also smart to say that they can't predict 100% with sports betting results.

This AI is very. I believe it can predict some games in gambling accurately, Like weather forecasts. Thanks to modern machines, we can know in advance. AI is increasingly developing. Big companies are investing in it. It is just in the process of incomplete experiments. One day, when AI is perfect, I think it will make gambling more accessible.
Of course, Al can base on the Bitcoin Halving of previous years and calculate the future price of Bitcoin, which will be more accurate than we estimate. I agree that it can be calculated accurately, but we humans are the ones who will physically impact the final result. Just like gambling, if we guess correctly in that gambling game, But the casino example has cheated in this and turned the truth upside down. Then we still lose.
I think it's a different thing with weather forecasting. While the moves of the weather are predictable based on the radar that we have and equipment that are specific of it.

It's totally different when we're comparing it to the sports results because they're entirely unpredictable. You'll never know who's going to get injured during the actual game and who's in or out.

While you're mentioning about the potential of AI and we all knew about it but I just sense that you're saying totally different thing from the actual topic.
691  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea and money are very important to investment. on: December 01, 2023, 08:50:16 PM
Let's get it real.

If you are generalizing all ideas to be bought by investors, it's not like that. Someone who has a good idea can make things work but it's not guaranteed that he'll make money from it.

And someone who has a lot of money and invests into someone's idea, it's also not guaranteed that he'll make money. Let's just dig into reality that even someone has a lot of money and has various huge and enticing ideas, that's not a gateway for them to have a guaranteed success.

You have mentioned "investment" and it always comes with the term, "risk".
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: December 01, 2023, 07:42:40 PM
With hundreds or probably thousands of games online, I'd like to ask why would you choose sports betting?

I believe that sports betting has become more popular here in the forum since most gambling sites, our reputable gambling sites are already sports betting on the menu. So, out of curiosity ( don't want to assume), what are the reasons why you fall in love with sports betting?

Moreover, I like to know if you really believe you can win in sports betting in the long run, or you just really think no chance because every game can be win by luck, sports betting is not exemption.
It's about the love for the game that we used to play when we're young and up to now, that passion never faded and it's still there.

While some are just gambling in sports betting for fun. It's still different when you know what you are betting with sports and it's totally a different feeling from doing it compared with casino games.

There's an involvement of favoritism on sports betting and whenever your favorite team wins and you bet on them, it is just so satisfying.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Bitcoin always affected on: December 01, 2023, 01:15:36 PM
That is true, many of them have always been affecting to Bitcoin but there are times that they're not. Just like a normal news that don't have any effect to bitcoin.

I seem to believe it before that there's no connection for Bitcoin and outside world. But as we move year by year, we see the vast adoption and the connections become deeper for bitcoin and also for other financial aspects and sides of many corporations and news that comes from them affects it.
the more bitcoin is spread across many people, the more those who hold bitcoin in large amounts will be able to move the price of bitcoin even though it is not significant,
If you mean by the influence of people who have lots of it due to manipulation, well, IMHO that's just a thought and hard to prove.

we can imagine if a country experiences war, where the majority of its citizens hold bitcoin, then the majority of citizens will take action. the same thing towards bitcoin, thus forming a large force that can ultimately influence the price of bitcoin.
I am confused and I don't understand the logic about what you've said. But I do think that it's about the influence of the majority and the topic is all about the news.

So, let's relate it to war and then everyone's going to move here and there but the easiest thing is to bring their phrases with them. While the news outbreak that could lead to panic for every person everywhere in the world.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: November 30, 2023, 11:52:01 PM
The gambler who want to become the millionaire using the gambling business,he need to develop the skill in that game.If the gambler want to earn money from the casino,he need to learn the game and build their own analytical skill for the big win.So if the gambler like to win in the sports bet he should develop the sports skill before start to bet in the game. Most of the gamblers start to bet in the football because of many leagues in the game.Their will be European leagues,Saudi Arabia League and various leagues based on the countries. It help the gamblers to make many bets in the sport bet over a complete year and possibilities for the win will be more.
Even if you develop to be a skilled sports bettor, it will take a long time for you to reach a million profit in sports betting. Knowing the factors like how much bankroll you have to start with.

And most of the bets you have as a skilled sportbettor is not giving you a guarantee pass that you'll have the best accuracy ever.

Because if the professionals, they're having hard time in achieving goals especially in millions. And that's why this is like a rare case if we're talking about a million dollar parlay achievement.

697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin story on: November 30, 2023, 08:53:13 PM
I think one of the memorable stories that can serve as introduction of bitcoin to young people expecially children, is to tell them about about the beginning of bitcoin,  how people never believed in it or find it interesting because they knew it is going to be a boon in this modern day. I think a story will put lots of memories in the head of children which they will grow with to later learn bitcoin proper. I feel starting with a dip introduction can be complicated for children to comprehend.

I think introducing bitcoin as a story will be better for children to know about Bitcoin and it will be more interesting for them and they would want to get more details about bitcoin as they grow up.
It is a good introduction to the kids.

But to mind you that, there are people that don't agree of introducing Bitcoin to as young as the kids because they just don't think that it's the right time in doing so.

There are lots of things that can be introduced to them and why Bitcoin? well, I am not the one speaking on that part because I agree that it's a good thing to mention every story that you can tell to a kid and introduce it to them as young as they can be.

And that is because their curiosity is there and they will remember what you've told them about it.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Really Burn helps Token in positive way? on: November 29, 2023, 11:50:43 PM
It will only help if the token itself has some solid use case that can survive with the competition.
But if they will rely in the burning aspect of growing its use case, then I think, it will easily go down later on.
Exactly.

Those legitimate projects will be helped by burning their tokens and that's going to be visible through their value and pricing. But for the tokens that don't even have a sense to own, they won't just get the attention and help from their own markets.

It is wrong to think that when a project, like any project does burning, the value of their token will increase. No. It doesn't go like that, there's a market explanation that it is not like what people are thinking.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think that this is aperfect analogy of how gambling addiction starts? on: November 29, 2023, 10:58:49 PM
It is a good analogy that you can think of so that you can accept your losses. There are gambler that can't accept themselves when they've been losing a lot.

That's the reason why many are looking for a reason to do this because they think that it's a good consolation for them and it's gonna help them accept lightly their losses.

But if it comes to the point that you're being addicted, that's harder than what it seems to be.
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Combination of the young age correlated with Bitcoin for the future on: November 29, 2023, 06:14:36 PM
Is that amount enough for him not work? Because if I have that then I'd definitely retire early but retiring doesn't mean that I won't do anything with my money.

I'll reinvest it into assets that will generate me more money. He has to be wise spending that money that he can earn now by holding 4 BTC. He's still young and he has a lot of time to explore and take risk.

But if he's all set and don't want to take that much risk, he can take care of himself and have some nice vacation first while thinking all of these stuff.
