681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will NEO be affected with China's further action on exchanges? on: February 08, 2018, 02:45:32 AM
Clearly it should affect NEO negatively. China has already expressed that it doesnt want anything related to cryptocurrency in their country. I know its still doing very good in the exchanges, but do you think it would really last? Look at BTC and make that a good example of how the market changes direction very quickly.
682  Economy / Marketplace / Open Bazaar vendor reviews and recommendations/ads on: February 08, 2018, 02:35:09 AM
Hi everyone. If some of you are Open Bazaar users or vendors please leave some reviews here. It would help if you could give more details of who the vendor was, what item was purchased, and other details like how long the item reached your home or how easy it was to deal with the vendor.

If you are a vendor you can advertise your shop here and give everyone more information and awareness. Ty.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friends haunting me with the dotcom saga on: February 08, 2018, 02:24:39 AM
Many friends of mine which I convinced them to buy a minimum of 0.01 bitcoin or to use their devices to mine because some of them have the AMD Ryzen 1700x processor which makes about 1 or more dollars daily are haunting me now because they think that bitcoin will be memories like the dotcom was in the year 1997-2000. I just read on Wikipedia for thedotcom and I think they are not the same as bitcoin because bitcoin relies on blockchain technology which is better than dotcoin.

Any arguments from the forum to shut their mouth because I am starting to get bored and pissed by their behavior, I helped them while they think I cheated them.

You mean the same dotcom saga that helped create the biggest tech companies in the world including Amazon, Paypal, Ebay and others? 90% of all cryptocurrencies will die but there will be a few of them that will survive and be the biggest investments that the world has ever seen.
684  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will this bear trend go? on: February 08, 2018, 02:18:48 AM
At what price do yal think will be bottom before we turn back up? I'm thinking $4,900 not to spread any FUD, however, they say when it rains it poors, and we have still yet seen people's response to this upcoming Tuesday on the 6th when all American policymakers meet, SEC and everyone else and we see what kind of regulation is made. The price will go down until the millionaires and wall street tycoons are happy to buy what they're going to buy and then we'll see it soar up to $13-$20k post regulations.

What would make these guys enter Bitcoin?

What is attractive in Bitcoin for them that they don't find in traditional investments (e.g. stock and commodities)? I'm not them but if I were, I'd rather look into Litecoin because it seems to be the only cryptocurrency as of now which is actually ready for real use. Bitcoin has turned into a speculative shit but once speculation goes away (which is inevitable), there'll be nothing left. In short, I don't think the Wall Street types are particularly interested in Bitcoin or even crypto at all. I can be wrong and in fact I wish to be wrong, but it doesn't look I am

What do you mean? Arent Wall Street types all interested in making money? Hypothetically if the market stabilizes and starts going mega bullish again to new highs, do you think they'll pass up the opportunity to enter? I dont think so.

Wall Street types, in my opinion, care only about money and profit. They would trade dog shit if that went bullish.

Yes, you got it right

The Wall Street types are interested solely in making money. That's why they are probably bringing Bitcoin down now because it is basically easy money for them ("big short"). Or did you really expect them to pump Bitcoin up, so all those newbie investors that had bought coins at December highs could make handsome profits at their expense? You must be kidding then. They are speculators and profiteers dyed in the wool, and it is highly unlikely they will let anybody take money from their pockets

I expect them to trade in both sides of the market either in pumping it or doing the big short. Do you think they did not enter the market when BTC went to its all time high? Or you think they didnt have a hand in manipulating the whole thing? You too must be kidding then

Whom are you talking about here?

I'm talking specifically about the Wall Street wolves and sharks. And no, I don't think that they had been buying Bitcoin when it went to its all time high. They might have been shorting Bitcoin then, and this is what I'm talking about. So let's be precise about what I mean and say. If you think that they might have been buying at highs, well, I guess you will have a hard time proving or just substantiating that. Personally, I don't believe in that for very simple reason. Prices would have surged a lot higher due to their sheer financial muscle, as simple as it gets. Now you are welcome to bring to the table your whole bunch of arguments for them buying up at all time highs. And then we shall see who is kidding whom. Just don't get lost

Im also talking about the Wall Street wolves, sharks and sheep in wolf's clothing.

Thats where we disagree. I think they also had been involved during the bull run. Some of them might be insiders who already knew BTC will be listed as a futures contract by the end of 2017. As you already said, these people are wolves and sharks.

I also disagree that prices would have surged higher. Why would they do that at their expense. Once they see that they cant make money in the market when its going up, they would start planning to make money by it going down and its what they exactly did.
685  Economy / Services / Re: GRAFT - Credit Card and Crypto Payment Processing Network | Signature & Avatar Campaign | [CFNP] on: February 07, 2018, 03:27:30 AM
I sent a message to graft-project. But the problem is he has not logged in since January 19.

Did the Graft presale use NEM as the platform to hold GRF tokens?

What about Bittrex and Poloniex? I think thats where most of the holders have accounts that are already verified. I personally dont want to go through that whole process once again.

I have 7125 XFC. How much can I get them for in BTC if I want to sell them today?
Current price in digitalbtokens if you sell now is 0.00000100 each.

How much was it during the ICO phase? I think it was around BTC.0001 correct? The big investors clearly got skinned in this because there was no exchange to dump their tokens.

Why didnt the Footballcoin team get it listed to Bittrex immediately after ICO?

Answered today "No lol!"

Links and urls to the news? We cant just take your word for it. Ty.

But whats new. We all knew deep inside that the market's fast growth was manipulated by someone or some group/s, and we as stupid as we are, allowed them to take us to the slaughter house lol.

693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto 'gurus', why the hell does anyone latch on to them? on: February 05, 2018, 03:49:33 AM
Wasnt Vinny Lingham one of the better minds in cryptocurrencies before his ICO and before his slight derision on BTC and his rather fair support for BCH and Roger Ver? What happened to him?

He sold everything at 3 grand ish convinced one of Jihan Wu's hostile forks would happen, not Bcash. It might have been Bitcoin Unlimited. He was of course proved miserably wrong and subsequently became another slice of roadkill.

Its amusing how leaving that much money on the table, by selling early, and being salty, because he was not part of the big move, would change a person's standpoint in life, and cryptocurrencies lol.

Listen everyone. Bitcoin's bear market might last longer than most people in the forum anticipate. If you check their posts in the speculation subforum, theyre all in the phase of denial.

Anyhow, wait until April or May. If the price is ranging around $5000 to $8000, thats when the people who bought on $10000 and up will decide to sell and take their losses. Some of them will be waiting for small "pumps" before dumping on the market.

There will be a lot of resistance, and that will make it hard for BTC to go back to recent highs.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A case for Burst's Proof Of Capacity [PoC will be the greener evolution of PoW] on: February 05, 2018, 03:21:26 AM
This is the time to be aware of what Proof of Work cryptocurrencies are doing to our planet. I know there are some developers who are asking "what alternative is there". Proof of Capacity is there. Dont you see?

If you think it is not secure or there are flaws in it, then help the Burst developers figure out how to fix them for the sake of the environment. Anyhow, you will all fathom the folly of your coins once your kids are suffering from a dying environment.

We are starting to see it in the South African drought.

Bitcoin, the virtual currency, has become a massive energy hog

  • Verifying bitcoin transactions is so energy intensive the currency tops 159 individual countries in energy consumption, according to data consultant Alex de Vries.

  • Data consultant Alex de Vries calculated bitcoin’s energy costs and, according to his Bitcoin Energy Consumption Index, submitting all those numbers demands a tremendous amount of computing power which translates into massive energy consumption.

  • The creation of a single bitcoin requires about 50,000 kilowatt-hours. In the US, the average residential rate is about 10 to 12 cents per kilowatt-hour. In China, electric costs are a bit less expensive: about 4 to 5 cents per kilowatt-hour. In total, the whole bitcoin network pays almost $2 billion per year just to mine bitcoins. The electric bills end up at the miners, so users never see how much energy the system consumes, de Vries says.

  • Notably, most of the bitcoin miners are located in China, "which makes the energy consumption problem a whole lot worse because China doesn't have a very clean electricity grid,” de Vries adds. “From several miners, we know that they are located very near to coal-based power plants, so they are drawing a lot of coal-based electricity. That causes the carbon footprint of each bitcoin transaction to be gigantic, as well.”
697  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: hyperledger or ethereum? on: February 05, 2018, 03:00:26 AM
Great ideas here, Thanks so much.
Any thoughts on Neo? I read it is the Chinese Ethereum.
But I see lots of Asian teams doing ERC20 based ICOs.
I wonder why they are not doing them on the Neo platform.
Thanks again

Neo is just another platform to capacitate ICO scams but for the Chinese and Asian "market", also called victims lol.

With that said, if I were you, I would go in and try to become a Burst contributor. Think of your long term prospects if you really want to help change the world. But if you want to scam people and become rich, go ahead and start your own ICO.
698  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: hyperledger or ethereum? on: February 04, 2018, 01:55:44 AM
Instead of going for the scam path by going into ICO development, why dont you try to be altruistic and offer your services by supporting a real project trying to change the world?

I recommend helping the PoCC developers in Burst. Try exploring their Github.

Maybe after having enough experience, you can start with your own project.
699  Economy / Exchanges / Re: poloniex 3 weeks error tranfer 56000 siacoin on: February 04, 2018, 01:45:25 AM
This has been happening with different altcoin withdrawals and it has become a normal thing in  Poloniex lol. So dont worry, they can fix it. But the trick is getting customer support to notice you.

Heres one trick you can do. You can tweet them about your problem. Because Twitter is public, they would have no choice but to help you in order not to look bad to the public. Wink

Try it! https://twitter.com/poloniex

centi, you can also buy XMR and use xmr.to to anonymize your BTC transactions. There might be a paradigm shift starting to happen as more and more regulations come to cryptocurrencies. As a store of value privacy coins will be better for fungibility. As more and more criminals start using BTC, you wouldnt want your coins having links with crime related activities.
