681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Education, the future of learning? on: February 09, 2021, 03:52:09 AM
There is still a lot of argument on the replacement of many onground classes to online. Educational system found some courses difficult to be taught and assess online, also a lot of income will be lost through online classes, from house rent, local product exchange, transportation etc. Cryptocurrency could be a fast way of paying but can the volatility of the sustain the exchange. Pandemic will change a lot of thing but the socioeconomic impact of some of the online adoption will need proper evaluation.
682  Economy / Economics / Re: Im big fan of stable coins and this is what I think on: February 08, 2021, 10:51:29 AM
I don't know of any stable coin in this market created by government. Mere holding stable coin especially not for taking from the bull market rewarding. However, more use have been coming as staking and Defi that could fetch more money while money sit in a wallet. Similar to bank fixed money but produce more reward.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin make someone the richest in the world? on: February 08, 2021, 07:16:10 AM
A rich person can invest in bitcoin but to make someone the richest in the world, it is possible but if you'll make it like that, there are a lot of other contenders if that's the category. Making someone rich through bitcoin is possible. Going with the plain category of making someone rich through bitcoin, this is much better to say because the richest people have their own technology that made them part of the richest. Zuckerberg, Bezos, Gates ,etc.
The interesting thing about the anonymous coin is the confidentiality of your wealth, your neighbors may not know your worth if you are the conservative type. Speculations in cryptocurrency states that 150k value of bitcoin will give more than half of the world billionaires. I think if the top coins can stay above trillion of dollars in coming months there will be more wealthy cryptocurrency traders.
684  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I'm looking for a New Trading Site on: February 08, 2021, 07:08:48 AM
I haven't needed to do kyc with binance and have deposited 0.5+ btc in the past.

I'm using it from the UK so you could vpn through to there or somewhere like Scandinavia or the Netherlands who may be more relaxed still (I'm assuming).
I don't think you can use binance in USA without KYC, since last year the development to monitor trade on binance US has increased and you may not be able use other binance within USA except with VPN Also there limited coins on the exchange at the moment because of the demand in the counties financial system. You may not have to compare UK now
685  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Don't trust web wallets, don't trust exchanges, then where to trade? on: February 06, 2021, 10:50:49 PM
Not your keys - not your coins, that's 100% true but for some people, I would say: Even your keys - not your coins.

Okay, woud love to hear opinion about this from the community members.

As we know and from every logic, we shouldn't trust web wallets and also exchanges. There were a lot of accidents when exchanges were hacked and people lost their coins. Some may say - don't keep your coins at exchanges for a long time but I would say that everything happens in seconds, maybe you had access on your coins at exchanges while you were replying to this thread but once you submitted the post, exchange got hacked and coins were lost, everything happens in seconds, otherwise loss wouldn't occur.

So, how do you trade in these cases? Only p2p exchanges? But it's not flexible and you may miss a good time frames where you could profit 1-2% of your balance.
The advice on keeping coin only on private wallet had declined although exchanges are not the safest but the exchanges had give traders confidence with recent hack that protect traders fund while exchanges cater for the damages. The recent development in trade on DEX through token swap (UNISWAP etc.) had been efficient with wallet security except the traders are careless with their private keys.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible that NPXS will reach 1$? on: February 06, 2021, 11:38:00 AM
such a funny question, at least the coin has not broken the previous ATH and had not been in the bull market, so it has something to prove. It has a large and active community with good fundamental, it also has high daily trade as a result of the use case and exchanges listed. Staking and hoarding though DEX really pumping old coins, they might need more improvement on the tokenomics to see a pump
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another crypto ban is here on: February 06, 2021, 11:33:08 AM
Here we go again, another crypto ban is imminent, this time in Nigeria, what are the government thinking? This is a country that's suffering from economy collapse since many years now and youths are jobless, finally crypto came to the rescue and all government can do is ban?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/cointelegraph.com/news/central-bank-of-nigeria-bans-banks-from-servicing-crypto-exchanges/amp

It is something that most have been expecting to happen coupled with the happenings with the EndSARS movement where Bitcoin was been donated to the masses during the protest after the Government first instructed the CBN then to block some people's Bank account. This Friday's announcement from CNB is just outrageous and you hear what the CBN was saying with regards to excuse why that action was taken, that they are trying to curb money laundering and Ransomes for kidnapping and some nonsense excuses. All those have been in play way before cryptocurrency was developed, Even in Nigeria there, we have heard about Government looting in the past without the aid of crypto, people have been kidnapped and Ransomes paid without crypto, the government are just selfish, backward thinking people that want to continually put the masses thru hell and they cannot even proved jobs for the people. There is always a way out, they might have succeeded in blocking direct bank transactions but P2P still remains which the affected have fallen back to.
CZ binance tweeted about the development yesterday on the withdrawal of naira by all holders on binance but at the moment withdrawal is still allowed and has grown higher, we also dont know when this will stop and how it will be handle but we believe P2P will take care of it eventually. The news brought a lot of panic among Nigerians and was trending topic on twitter. The news is still at the central bank websites but some internal men are trying to clarify the news, how the use may be illegal.
688  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: February 05, 2021, 03:31:12 PM
Bittrex has long required KYC.

Bittrex has long since been trying to act like a bank.  Bittrex has further shown this by evolving to be a fiat-based exchange rather than a crypto-based exchange.

Fiat based exchanges will be subject to KYC because accepting fiat comes with additional steps.

I'm reading a lot of horror stories about Bittrex even from already KYCd people. I don't know if Bittrex is dodgy or just overzealous but my guess is it's better not to find out and go to one of the other many exchanges.
CEXs are not doing fine in this market and bittrex is getting out of the news. No top project from the exchange, no volume, reduced users and was never mentioned with project that had a huge price movement either in a day or week. If it continues this way, bittrex might be one of the project that will be swept off in the next bear market.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ITO] WPP ENERGY TOKEN - TOKEN TO BE TIED TO THE VALUE OF H2 on: February 05, 2021, 03:26:49 PM
If you take time to read what Troy writes lately, it does look like they got hold of the tokenomics. He blames investors for holding and not selling to improve trade volume, ridiculous and I dont understand that, with such tokenomics around the market that encourage hoarding. They seem not to understand the market and the product cant be purchase because of the pandemic, then why did we adopt digital coin if our trade cant be online. He try most time to play with words but he is not helping at all to build fundamentals.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STORM Token: Earn Free Cryptocurrency[ICO] on: February 05, 2021, 10:43:53 AM
The pump today was very strong. The project seems alive. Grin
It's been a long time since strom token was not pumped.

It looks like very strange to see that even when strom token was getting pumped and I don't even see any good news about this https://twitter.com/Storm_Token

twitter is inactive and it's not giving any update since a few months ago. This could be a pump and dump coin.

I had to search for the project in the forum and check for update unfortunately nothing particular, although the forum moved to the first but it has been silent for over 4 months, no development, no partnership. I dont believe the community had been growing since the bull market, this pump can only happen in a bullish market but I will advice new investors not to jump on any project they are not sure of whats happening there. ATM the website seem not to be available or restricted
691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me buy bitcoin on: February 05, 2021, 10:34:19 AM
The open post sound like he is promoting a wallet. As much as I know the difficult will only depend on the currency of trade, if it is not available for most top fiat to cryptocurrency market that is available. There are many exchanges and I dont think they demand for gas fee, even for ethereum. They make provision for the ethereum address for purchase then you can move to other address as it pleases but at your expense.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is there nobody talking about DOGE? on: February 04, 2021, 08:17:23 PM
Do you understand guys that after this pump will be reallly big and fast dump?
but then it happen again and could happen more this year. The Meme coin has this love from most old time investors and traders in the space yet I cant rule out that some of them might be dumping it in this bull market. We are beginning to be reminded the advantage of an active community that has produce lots of millionaires, the recent pump came from the tweet of the richest man in the world.

695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Uniswap wallet question. on: January 20, 2021, 09:31:35 PM
Another problem at Uniswap is the very expensive Gas Fee.

https://ethgasstation.info/
70-90 Gwei- this is a very small price.

Elitetrader123
I trade very often on uniswap. There is no way to trade if you have a few hundred dollars, because you will spend most of your profits on commissions.
I am using metamask and ledger wallet. All my money is stored in the ledger wallet, and I use metamask as an interface. You can use a Trezor wallet or any compatible one.
The hardware wallet offers the highest security.
The cheapest ledger nano S is suitable for trading on uniswap.
I believe he is talking like every low fund traders that buy few hundreds.Just like some of the new defi projects that have small cap and will only demand small amount to purchase on Uniswap. Besides, sometimes transaction fee goes as high as 300 Gwei for the small amount purchased, so they struggle with the DEX.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best to inheritance of btc and crypto on: January 20, 2021, 09:19:31 PM
dont get yourself confused with bitcoin and cryptocurrency. no different between the 2 because bitcoin is cryptocurrency. Blockchain can be different but it is not an asset in any way when it is not cryptocurrency.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum just broke an ATH price on: January 19, 2021, 06:43:11 PM
The ATH maybe different for many exchanges but the over average ATH has not been broken ($1,448), You can cross check with coingecko chart of ATH, it was close anyway and I feel like everyone that we could break ATH this week. Bitcoin did something similar pump last year that broke many exchanges but not the average ATH but reverse before it attain 2x from previous ATH
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alchemy (ACH) on: January 19, 2021, 06:32:58 PM
There a lot of projects with even lower supply than this one. Why did you pick this very specific project? My answer is NO to any such kind of project, especially where Chinese team is involved. I had invested a couple of projects with Chinese team all of them are eating dust as they stopped development. Such projects are TKY, TFOOD, KEY, QLC, SDS and many.

Instead invest blindly on BTC, ETH.
Being a Chinese project does not make it a bad project, However, except for TKY I dont know any of the coin/project you have invested. TKY was not a bad project, investors made good profit from it if he had an early exit. Moreover, TKY came out at a very wrong time, was launched at just the beginning of the bear market, like every other projects it struggled to stay above water.
699  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DID I GOT SCAMMED? on: January 18, 2021, 08:07:09 PM
Hey,

Thanks for the replies.

One thing I don't understand is why the Instagram profile is still up and running having almost 2k followers how is it none of the scammed people reporting the account and etc, writing comments under the pictures, and so on. There should be more victims from this scam and I would expect them to at least report the account or take some kind of action.
Scammers are smart enough to provide a fake account with fake followers, You must have learnt your lessons and never fall for fake follower even if they are more than 10k.
700  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of your total assets would you rather invest in bitcoin? on: January 18, 2021, 07:46:08 PM
Bitcoin is worth holding but I cant state the amount in percentage I can recommend for holding. I cant hold bitcoin longer into the bull market without taking profit. The whales may do that because of what they have but small holders will need to cashout and buy back in the bear. Less than 6 million bitcoin is traded in the market now, more bitcoin has not been moved, large some has been lost with key and life of owners.
