681  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: People Empowerment on: October 17, 2019, 08:50:24 AM
I can only hope that most of the members of the Bitcoin community or of the larger cryptocurrency community joined the bandwagon because of these ideas. My hunch however is that more than half of the members of these large communities around the world are joining these communities for the sake of money or of profit. They seem not to care about these principles really. All they are thinking is that there is money here. All they need to do is buy and wait and the profit will be coming. This in itself is already a big obstacle for the growth of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

This is something we have to admit. Humans are motivated by greed more than any principle, ideal or even faith. We want money and we usually do something because we know we can get a return of the capital, effort and time we are exerting. Same thing with Bitcoin and I must admit I also joined in here because of the prospect of gain. Well, generally speaking, there is nothing wrong with that, actually. However, just stopping on money and not exploring more on the things behind Bitcoin can be another story...at least we have to be educated on something that we are dealing with. We have to grow and widen our understanding on Bitcoin.

That is basically my personal story as well. When I got into Bitcoin and into this forum I have no idea about decentralization or freedom from third financial parties or whatever principle that Bitcoin is pushing forth. But as soon as I bought my first Bitcoin and altcoins, read materials about them, participated in discussions, watched videos, and so on, I realized that the most important thing about Bitcoin is not just the monetary value that we can get from it but the value which the project is promoting. And it has something to do with looking into our current fiat system and its being interwoven with our governments and the entire global financial system and how it is actually being oppressive to the common people, which comprise most of the world's population.
682  Economy / Economics / Re: Everyday Fundamental Analysis from Paxforex on: October 17, 2019, 08:23:12 AM
Is your platform focused on Forex alone? I am sorry for asking before checking it out. I will take a look at it after you will respond. It seems you are creating very long posts for people to read. And yet it seems everything has only about forex and nothing about cryptocurrency. Or have I missed something? Because if that is the case, bitcointalk is not the right place for this. This is a forum about Bitcoin and crypto and not about forex.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Harsh Reality About The Current ICO Project on: October 17, 2019, 07:58:08 AM
This is the harsh reality not just about your current ICO project but also to the big majority of the whole ICO market. Sweet promises are made for them to attract investors and make money. Road maps are full of them. Their whitepaper is also full of them. In fact, their developers can easily release mouthful of sweet promises if a potential investor is asking something about the future of their project. In end, it is either they will be forced to keep quiet, change the road map, or get out totally from the market.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Must Know Before Investing in IEO on: October 17, 2019, 04:37:09 AM
Performing a personal research on projects and their token sales whether IEO, ICO or STO is the smartest way to be on the safer side in ones cryptocurrency investment career. Because there are no fixed bodies to run checks on IEOs to identify the fake ones for investors, investors are entreated to do their own research before investing.
Everything we have to be able to research further if we don't want to get a big loss from cryptocurrency because right now many IEO's are in fact factualized, there are also many cases that trap investors so that many also suffer losses due to IEO which turned out to be a project fiction. this should be everyone's concern in choosing it

Yes, more than where these IEOs are being launched or offered. Many of these IEOs, even those that are launched and offered in big and trusted exchanges are still scams or traps to just victimize the investors. Research is the main thing that IEO investors should be doing and focusing more. The exchanges where IEOs are offered and launched are not truthful, honest, and legit seals. They don't guarantee anything.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Camouflage bounty manager? on: October 17, 2019, 04:16:09 AM
is it possible that the prize manager and the entire project crew including the developer, they work together and deliberately promote fraudulent projects?

I see how easy they are to erase red trust and promote fraudulent projects repeatedly?
Is this what is called a camouflage manager?

I cannot pinpoint a particular manager with that accusation so far. I have been joining several campaigns in the past and most of them I can recall are failures. Bounty managers are also failures as well but I cannot accuse them of conniving with the project. But it is really possible. It can be made by scammers. In fact, that is the easier part. The hardest part is the creation of whitepapers, a reliable website, and so on to look like a good project. The promotion later on is easier.

687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you lend in cryptocurrency? on: October 17, 2019, 03:18:09 AM
Would you give a loan to borrowers in cryptocurrency?

If yes, in which cryptocurrency:
- Bitcoin
- Ethereum
- Stablecoin (please tell us in which)
- Libra
- Maxit (https://maxicreditcompany.com/whitepaper.pdf)
- Other (please tell us in which)

With a good interest and if the rest of the terms and conditions are great, why not? And another important factor is that the borrower has to be a trusted one. Because whatever terms and conditions are agreed if the borrower is not an honest one and does not have plans to honor the agreements and pay the loan, everything will be a waste. I will choose the coins that are low in fees and fast in confirmation.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose DEX? How to avoid scam? on: October 17, 2019, 02:55:31 AM
1. BinanceDex - the name of the exchange speaks for itself. But in reality this is not a true dex.
2. EtherDelta / ForkDelta - old proven exchangers. There was never a problem with them. True Dex. Only Ethereum tokens.
3. Idex - also never have problem with this exchange. It's not true Dex. Now KYC verification nedeed.
4. Komodo AtomicDex (betha now).

I am not a user of a DEX today, actually ever since IDEX ceased to be a DEX anymore. But BinanceDEX has caught my attention since it is a product of the same exchange platform which I am currently using. I was a user of Etherdelta which eventually transformed into ForkDelta after trying to appear cleaner with all those bad history in its records. After the name change, I stopped using it. That was also the time when I started to focus on the top coins which are already admitted on the largest exchanges.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stacking cryptocurrencies with Interest on: October 17, 2019, 02:29:01 AM
Coinmarketcap has recently published a page where they track the interest rates from various cryptocurrencies on different platforms. The highest Bitcoin APR is now 6.20% at BlockFi. Looks like BNB and stable coins have even 10% APRs. I wonder what are these platforms doing with your crypto to offer such high interest rates..

My question to the community is how much you trust these platforms to hold your crypto safe and don't scam away? Is the 4-6% annual interest rate worth the risk for you?

The risk is not worth it. I would rather HODL those coins myself rather than entrust them to some strange platforms. After all, I can also earn that very little worth of profit in my own ways in a year's time. 4-6% interest per year is so low to be honest. Even noob traders could actually earn that amount. Low interest, high risk, that is a no no for me. That is not a good formula for investors.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin follow Wyckoff logic, determine your position for ALT on: October 17, 2019, 01:59:48 AM
Base on that chart, we're going down soon? I'm not very good on charts but I've seen a lot of charts that tell the same but failed to show results. I'm already in both positions for bitcoin and altcoins so I don't have any problem with what will be the next scenario of the market.
If bitcoin starts falling, what's next? start buying. That's the next thing to do and it's the opportunity again that it brings to everyone.

Can we even fall more? We are already falling hard. I guess the HODLers at this particular point can expect worse days ahead. Those HODLers who are emotional have already sold their coins. I have enough of this price falling but if it is what is going to happen ahead, so be it. Let the prices fall and I will try to gather the last penny that I have that I may able to buy more. But then again, charts analysis is not 100% accurate.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NON-ICO Altcoins on: October 16, 2019, 02:06:12 PM
Hello. I would like to start investing in altcoins besides bitcoin again. My biggest criterion for the token is that its not an ICO project. Never had any great return from it.
So are there any new non ICO projects with some potential being traded on stable exchanges? Thanks

It does not matter for as long as you are buying the coins you found in the top 100. If you are planning to buy at the bottom or from those that are too new they are not even included in the rankings, be aware of the risk. Non-ICO or ICO projects these days are carrying with them huge risks. The majority of new projects end up dead. Anyway, you might want to check TemTum Project. That is a non-ICO project which appears reliable.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Stress and Happiness on: October 16, 2019, 01:34:17 PM

In my almost four years of getting involved (just an ordinary holder and part-time trader, nothing so great actually), I am so sure that Bitcoin can be a major source of stress especially if you bought them at a higher price and then the price made some slide. Now, I am not saying that it is Bitcoin's fault because stress in the first place depends a lot on our perception and how we are managing it. But definitely, we can categorize as a stressor at some degree.

On the other hand, Bitcoin can also be the source of "happiness" especially when the coin is having a great time jumping upwards. Certainly, there can be euphoria if in 2020 Bitcoin can go higher that its 2017 ATH. Bitcoin is known for extreme volatility and it can go from one side to the other in matter of hours and days.

No wonder that Steve Wozniak the Apple co-founder sold his bitcoin because riding the roller coaster stressed him out.

How do you manage any possible stress coming from Bitcoin's volatility?

Having multiple sources of income would help alot. This also applies to other areas of businesses or investments. Many wealthy business owners have multiple companies. If one company stops being very profitable, they continue using others companies. This helps them cope with the little problem the other company is going through until the company begins to be profitable again.
I think you should have multiple sources of income and you wouldn't worry too much about price again

Even if you don't have other businesses or sources of income, if you think you are already stressed by what is going on in the market, it is good for you to take a little rest from it. We all have hobbies that we can make ourselves busy with and forget about the prices, the drop, and the bears. Why not take a short vacation, away from the charts and the screen? For me it is not worth stressing ourselves with the market when we know that the bad days are temporary.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Old good airdrops on: October 16, 2019, 01:04:56 PM
The airdrop now is not as big as the 2017 airdrop. But the airdrop now still pays for it, but most airdrops now need to require kyc and in my opinion, it's bigger to follow the airdrop now than before.

The airdrops now are worse than before. But the airdrops before were already bad enough. When I came here, I have seen good airdrops but the general condition was still not that good. There were so many airdrops that were worthless although there were also a few that really payed and the coins were worth several dollars. That was good enough already. But then it worsens as time passed by. Right now, there are only fewer airdrops and most of which are total garbage.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I talk about market problems? on: October 16, 2019, 12:38:54 PM
I just want to know, about market issues.
4. In your opinion how to overcome the market situation so that it can be stable again?
How to overcome? it is simple! Study, practice and get some experience in order to understand the market. If you fully understand the market then you will know when is the right time to purchase and to sell altcoins.

But it is not that simple to understand the market. We all know that. We are aware how the expert traders are even losing. We have seen the technical analysis of some people who are considered best in what they are doing, and how these did not go right according to the actual directions of the charts. The crypto market is unpredictable. It is better to HODL when things really go most uncertain.
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC- When it back to 20k on: October 16, 2019, 12:12:34 PM
Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks
I am sorry about your losses. We should accept that crypto world is different than others.

BTC will reach 20k again, but I can not tell you when. If there is another way where you can raise this money, why you should hold BTC? You can at least sell BTC to any coin that will provide extra money, and you can change it to BTC again after making profit.

That is an option but be careful with this option. It could make you grow your Bitcoin or it could reduce it further. But that is one way to increase your Bitcoin if you are not buying additional amount anymore. The best entry is when the coins are dropping in price. That is the hardest time to buy for many people because that is an emotional time, but if you really want to buy coins with low prices, you must counter the flow.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the Facebook Libra cryptocurrency idea? on: October 16, 2019, 11:02:15 AM
What's your take on Facebook Libra?

from the first day that the news about Libra hit the media i said that it is a centralized shitcoin with no good future compared to decentralized cryptocurrencies specifically bitcoin. specially since in early days people kept comparing the two together although they have nothing in common.

they started big with a lot of big names like Mastercard, Paypal, Visa,... but now that all of them are dumping the partnership and going out the failure of Libra is pretty much guaranteed.

It looks that way. But I think Mark and the rest of the big companies that decided to stick it out with him and the grand project will not quit too easily. They will certainly postpone the launching. That is something that can be seen clearly since we are now at the end part of the year and their launching is supposed to be done in the first half of 2020. But there must still be a plan B. They might try to relaunch this in the coming months or years.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin price rise because of this? Is this coincidence or what? on: October 16, 2019, 10:45:24 AM
Heard another twit from this Dogenode again... they said the dogecoin price began to rise after they make a twit a day before. Is this a coincidence or what? does anyone know about this Dogenode project? it seems what they twit before make a sense.

https://twitter.com/thedogenode/status/1183746885648928776

There is nothing connected between the twits of Dogenode and the movement of the price of Dogecoin. This is but a plain coincidence. Nothing more. In fact, no one should even exert effort trying to connect the two, they are completely irrelevant to each other. And if ever Dogecoin will gain upward movement, it will never be just caused by a twit of a random account which is not even officially connected to the project itself.
698  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to control your emotions while trading?👨🏼‍💻 on: October 16, 2019, 10:20:28 AM
I think the best method would be for one to predetermine one's entry and exit points while maintaining MM - Money Management. With that in mind, one should be satisfied taking whatever profit or lose his entries have and should not soak oneself in regret if price continues in ones direction after the exit. After all, the market will always be there for another entry.

This would help a lot. Before making an order, one should already have a definite set of numbers for stop loss and take profit. If the prices and their movements change along the way, different from what are being expected and predicted by the technical analysis, one could always withdraw or cancel the orders and create another one based on the trend. Objective analysis of what is happening is the key.
699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top 3 Cryptocurrency Trend Indicators on: October 16, 2019, 09:53:06 AM
from my experience, trading indicator doesnt work well in crypto. i test many time and often fail with those indicator
i believe in price action which can work better than indicator. furthermore, price action is simpler than indicator
Indicators are calculated based on the past history of price thus they lag behind the price in some cases when an indicator signals buy or sell the price goes the other way due to lagging of the indicator, as you said Price Action rules in trading this is based on how the price behaves and how it is formed would determine buying and selling position or zones of the market.

Indicators are there to help traders decide their next move. Although called indicators, they actually do not indicate at all where the price will be in the next hours or days. The best that they might provide are price ranges where you could buy or sell.

Trading is not easy of course. The use of indicators are not a guarantee that you will earn. They are just tools to somehow provide guidance on the trader's next move.
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Fastest growing coin? And biggest up ward movement on: October 16, 2019, 09:23:05 AM
Fastest growing coin?

What will be?

What it was this year?

Im talking about only coins wich are all ready listed on Exchangers with decent volume!

Since you did not specify your question into altcoins, I would say Bitcoin is the fastest growing coin. Furthermore, since you did not specify what 'growing' in your question means, there should be no other answer to it but Bitcoin. In a matter of 10 years, Bitcoin has given us several thousands in percentage of growth in price. It started from 0 up to $20,000 in its ATH. From a digital currency used by no one, it has already millions of users all over the world right now. That is what growing means.
