6801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 16, 2020, 03:08:42 PM
Goal . com reports through their Twitter handle, that there are plans to resume the league as early as next month, starting with the Copa Itallia semi finals.
https://twitter.com/goal/status/1250676759877554176?s=19
The scheduled date is reported to be the 27th and 28th of May.
Am I the only one thinking that it is more urgent to resume Serie A before Copa Itallia? The copa can wait, it can be delayed by 6 months? a year? played even after Copa 2021? +with spectators ++
Is there something i miss or just suggestion popping from here and there to press politicians to resume sportive activities?
6802  Other / Meta / Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? on: April 15, 2020, 07:17:20 PM
From satoshi to sirius, theymos, badbear, and last was cyrus.
There's been a few other admins which were not "head" admins such as:  Raoul Duke who was last active in 2019. My memory fails when they were no longer a staff member, but I believe there does exist a thread when they were made an admin.

I said there was a few, but that might not be the case as my memory is coming up blank right now. I could have sworn there was a thread which documented all staff member changes throughout the years though.
Stefan Thomas = admin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=107085.0
Raoul Duke = global mod / Portuguese sub mod https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=594768.msg6548994#msg6548994 (ex admin too?)
Failed to find a topic about this hmm

What if @theymos is satoshi...  Roll Eyes
What if @theymos is not satoshi...  Roll Eyes
What if he was? What should we do exactly?
I believe this story was said over and over many times here. Until now the only photo available for theymos is posted by an admin here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=555771.msg6055305#msg6055305
You can find theymos and ask him yourself if he is the great sato  Roll Eyes
6804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: April 15, 2020, 04:20:22 PM
^  You can wear an N95 and wear the La Liga mask over it.  That's what I do, wear N95 with a home made mask.  You get to use the N95 multiple times.  You still gotta put plastic wrap or cling wrap and seal the outside part of the mask if being stored tho.  Just to be safe.

Yup...  Awesome masks.
I think what @buwaytress was trying to imply is how will the players breathe well when wearing any form of mask. I mean football is a sport that requires excess breathing and having masks on will make things so hard for the players.

I have worn masks in the past while working in a pharmaceutical Industry and trust me, despite just not doing any strenuous work in the lab, breathing in and out is not comfortable. Now imagine someone running while wearing it.

Wait...  That's for the players?  They're better off not playing if the clubs really don't want them to get sick imo.  I thought the masks were a gimmick for the fans to have during the outbreak.  Lol.
The what? Playing with a mask is delusional and madness. Apart from being uncomfortable while running, hard to breathe with in intense conditions, there is a huge risk of injuries related directly to it in the eyes and ears essentially.
Although this isn't a big problem in football but wearing it with glasses sucks too...
So yeah it is for the fans and not for players, no doctor will allow his players to play with imo!!
6805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 15, 2020, 04:11:57 PM
Do you know by chance if any Italian clubs are resuming training soon?
AFAIK no and normally they couldn't since the lockdown is extended to the third day of May, at least. So if a team is training right now then he may be sanctioned.
What i heard until now that doctors are against resuming Serie A in May. Rumors about playing the remaining games in the South of Italy without spectators 3 games per week. The biggest problem is players who their contracts will end in June...
6806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving 2020 and Altcoins on: April 14, 2020, 02:42:58 PM
Hey members,

Wanna hear your thoughts about the upcoming BTC halving we will all see soon and the reflection it will have in both the BTC price and adoption, but also the major Altcoins.

Happy to hear ideas and speculations

Thanks
In few words, altcoins will follow bitcoin trending.
Now when it comes to bitcoin it is almost hard to predict what will happen in halving but having a steady or a small rise in the price before and during the halving will be good. If there is many people adopting bitcoin it will be great. Seeing the price skyrocketing few months after will be awesome!
6807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: April 14, 2020, 02:22:55 PM
The fact that he is too young isn't an excuse for him.
It's not an excuse for his performance, but it leaves a window of opportunity open. It's far too early in his career to write him off. He has had a lot of good games in Barcelona and Dortmund colours (admittedly, far more in Dortmund) and we all can agree he has quality.

The huge pressure from his price tag and also playing for a new club, which puts one in the spotlight and attracts lots of media attention hasn't let him settle in easily. But he still has the opportunity to prove himself.

I agree that he had a lot of good games in Dortmund.
Personally, he hasn't impressed me in Barcelona and I cannot see anything in him that can show he can be a part of Barca's first team. Maybe he is a good player to play on a mediocre team. not a player to play on a top club.
I read once an article about him and his infinite injuries. Apparently it is not 100% his fault. In fact during the week, the training isn't sufficient for him to be fully ready during the game. It is like training a player to be 70% ready then asks him to play with +90% of his performance. The result is just a disaster and in that article I remember they blame Barca for destroying him. I don't know how accurate this but if it turns to be true then preferably he should escape from there if there is no intention to correct this catastrophic error!
6808  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL HODL HODL...AND BUY MORE on: April 14, 2020, 02:10:26 PM
HODL usually means long term hold, what you are talking is a short term hold only that you can sell at a certain percentage.
What I know about HODL strategy is that we will hold until we see a big profit, like x10 or even x100 of return, this is possible as long as we hold longer.

And what income do you think is adequate for a distance of 10 years (for example)? And if we talk about 20 years? Obviously, few people are interested in earning at a distance of 100 years  Grin Time = money. Hodl makes no guarantees and takes your liquidity right now and for years to come. You must agree that this strategy has flaws.
For someone buying 1 bitcoin in 2010 for few cents and selling it after 8 years for $18k per 1 BTC, this is incredibly good and worth to wait for.
I personally prefer to keep my tiny treasure in the corner and whenever its value spikes for +$100k I will sold it even after 30 years!
As a holder, we never know when the price will strike so we have to be hold longer, holding 10 years or more does not guarantee the price will grow as expected, therefore we should also be ready if things happen that is out of our expectation. It's a gamble but at least you'll not lose fully your money since bitcoin continues to have a value as this would stay as adoption increases overtime.
True.
Let's say i have an amount of bitcoin which is 100%. I will not hold it all for 10 years or more. I will keep a part of it which may be 90%, 5% will be used whenever necessary to buy something or to trade, the remaining will be a reserve whenever the first 5% is no more.
Of course this strategy doesn't guarantee anything, it is gambling like the first adopters believed in bitcoin and adopted it Smiley
6809  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-04-08] Mining Bitcoin Just Became More Difficult by Almost 6% on: April 12, 2020, 06:34:23 PM
All of this is temporarily since after few weeks we will have new "achievement"
Quote
In theory, three more difficulty adjustments left until the Bitcoin mining reward halving estimated on May 13
After this date and the halving of the block reward, i wonder how things will go!

One of the first people in BitcoinTalk that I enjoyed reading his posts, especially the one vs scammy cyberpinoy aka Leroy Fodor.
I feel there is an empty space somewhere in the forum that cannot be filled easily for a long time.
We will miss you Cry

Can I ask to edit the link in OP (topic=5xxxxx4.0) since it is archived as iasenko mentioned and not only in loyce.club but in other websites. A quick search (wxxx...xxx4[at]yahoo.com) and i found the same topic posted over and over in many forums, most of it deleted except in 2 or 3 forums. One time he/she is explaining his bullshit... Same spammed username ofc in every forum...

Edit: thanks @philipma1957

1.) This option is undoubtedly good, but what about those who bought bitcoin at 20k and still do not have the opportunity to even achieve breakeven?
2.) If you bought bitcoin at 7k and sold it after 30 years for 100k, then you should understand that the annual yield is about 4 percent. Not too high rate of return  Wink
Well i meant by 30 years that i don't care how long it will take, i will just hodl and wait for the best opportunity to grab ma moneh Smiley
I am expecting good news after this halving, better to be no more of <$10k this year and catch back $20k
6813  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, may be a custom title please. on: April 11, 2020, 02:18:58 PM
A poll may be a good idea too to see how many supports this idea.
Personally I support it in this case. If a bitcointalker has passed away (+proof?), why not mentioning it in a special topic with a small description + locking the account + custom title
6814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada include the bitcoin. on: April 10, 2020, 04:42:02 PM
Such a rare good news those days
Wait. This was done just today? Embarrassed
The price was over $7200 last night before april 10th as this was the release date on to their stock exchange.
Now it is dropping and below $6900 last time I checked before doing a transaction just today.
It is not necessarily related to this tho. Even in the halving while many people are waiting for the price to rise it just stuck or drop before rising after. Bitcoin price movement is more complicated than it appears  Wink

6818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 09, 2020, 01:43:16 PM
Boys you have a serious football addiction and since your patience level is too low in quarantine, i recommand to install PES or FIFA and play a tournament with your favourite team in a Chinese stadium!! (from wherever came this clever idea lol Undecided )
I prefer old classic SNES ISSSD game, good ol' days Smiley
6819  Other / Meta / Re: A little bit of warning about the pandemic on: April 08, 2020, 11:39:21 PM
I think smokers are quite the minority these days... I haven't walked passed anyone smoking in a long time...
It depends from the IQ your community has.
Here i frequently see outside (while shopping for foods), people smoking or buying cigarettes, lines of people buying beers... And yes they smoke in public and near each others. 2 stupid 2 realise they are harming everyone...
6820  Economy / Economics / Re: Cutting of Salaries in Indian Companies - Failed Future? on: April 08, 2020, 11:25:23 PM
There should be a minimum wage for everyone even those who are not working from home. If employers cannot afford to pay then the gov should do this. Other possibility is to cut that price from next salaries...
If someone is doing 100% of his regular job from home then he should receive 100% of his salary (i know some are receiving less ~80%), if he is doing less then he normally should receive less. There should be an agreement between the boss and employees about that if it wasn't done before!!
