Steve do, I do. Saints boosted to 2.45 has got to be the best value bet I've seen in a long time. Sure, sure, we've got dilly dong at the helm but Saints got a positive coach and their results haven't been doing their attitude justice.

This is the only certainty other than a Liverpool win.
6803  Economy / Speculation / Re: Getting early 2018 top vibes! on: October 29, 2021, 12:40:33 PM
Okay. I had zero idea about this memecoin thing. Heard talk, but not til reading this do I realise just how wild it's become (and yet am not surprised).

I'm definitely, even as far away from social media as I am, fully aware that there are more and more ads telling people how to "make money from your laptop while drinking coffee" aka "put you real money into vapourware defi and keep your fingers crossed.

So glad most Bitcoin users haven't fallen for that nonsense, though I fear the eventual defi fallout will take its toll on Bitcoin markets.

^ Yeah, I've always been envious of Amex holders. I can get a Visa or Mastercard pretty easily these days (but I don't have one anyway) but the requirements for Amex have always been out of reach, being a freelancer, at least where I am now.

Nothing comes close to their privileges and airmiles, and they've seemed content over the years to maintain that air of exclusivity. I think you'r right. They don't mind sitting back and letting Visa/MC take the heat as early adopters, and then learn from them and perhaps even lure disgruntled users from their rival network.

I, too, read this as a "not yet" rather than a "never".
6805  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Watford FC Main Sponsor - UFC Official Betting Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: October 29, 2021, 08:41:27 AM
Don't forget, we got the double winnings promo back on UFC. Still time to place bets on all 3 highlight games -- the first even gets special ESPN coverage so it's as big as it gets.

Jan Blachowicz vs Glover Teixeira
Petr Yan vs Cory Sandhagen
Islam Makhachev vs Dan Hooker

In fact there were many people who bet more than what they usually do (at least bet the max loss back) when the guarantee was 100% because it was like simply risk-free bet. Now the guarantee is reduced to 50%, so I guess those people I'm referring to previously will not do it again because there is a chance to lose 50% of the bet.  Smiley

Guilty as charged. Sportsbettor here so when it was 100% guarantee, I thought well, here's a chance at some decent cashback (wager $1000 and win maybe $70 as the odds were usually around that). It's always about the value for me, so if I already did close to $1000 I'd top it off for sure.
6806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2021, 08:48:48 PM
I did the same ... by the way, lately I've been experimenting with deferred dates, I combine the multi bet in such a way that the last two matches were with very low odds, so that in case of something the hedge would be profitable. These 5 matches will be held with a difference of one day, and considering that Manchester has not won for a long time, I expect that they may well be rehabilitated this week + a couple of random goals from Arsenal, but then you can do hedging with the possibility of doubling.

I do this quite a bit actually, but usually with a really strong team that's in form, and whom I expect down the line will still show up. Liverpool's next game, for example, has been on my accas since it was first available on books 2/3 weeks ago. Was 1.35 then and much lower now after their Atletico and United wins -- so hedging against them on match day would be higher value.

I'm betting on Atalanta again actually though -- was disappointed last leg but I bet on form and streaks OR against it and I'm counting on United to crash out yet again.

Don't care who wins as long as they both score  Wink It is even paying @1.95 which sounds like a real value to me. Hopefully the bookies will give something back after the bloodbath yesterday.

Got my HT win hedge, but disappointed elsewhere, 3 goals without much other action from Bologna, complete one-way traffic...

I don't need it, but I'm always happy to help someone new in crypto work. Here's what I'll do for you, if you want.

Accept to send me 1k word article. I'll provide the details shortly. I'll submit on your behalf to someone I know who will pay that rate. If they think it's good enough, you can land a gig with them. If it doesn't, well, you have an article and probably even some free feedback from me. Sounds good?

My free tip: Don't Ever Type Like This =D

Took a look at 2 random samples from your shared drive, all were pretty short and in Comic Sans. Could you show which are 1000-word samples so we know what exactly your crypto-speak sounds like? And in a more professional font, please Wink

P.S. You will need a proofread/edit on your OP if you want to charge 5 cents a word...
6808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2021, 03:03:57 PM
I'm afraid I already have Napoli on a martingale to lose, so heh, tonight I have to bet against them. Good thing the odds are actually pretty decent so I don't actually have to double down (martingale to ensure I win my stake and increasing profit is all). 11/1 feels like a bit of a disservice to Bologna with exactly 3 wins/draws/losses each.

I'll hedge with a HT Napoli win. If they win again, they'll do it early.
6809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: October 28, 2021, 11:48:49 AM
Hey. Thanks for the heads up, put in all my picks on new Sportsbet prediction contests thanks to the alert heh. So my outrights are looking poor except Packers, who play tonight (or morning my time tomorrow) so I guess I'll be rooting for them the rest of the way.

Dolphins especially looking dire with odds above 100/1 now. All the rest of the picks I made are on far higher odds than when I picked them. Wonder how much money people make from idiots like me picking almost randomly ha ha.

My picks for my record: Packers - Seahawks - Steelers - Dolphins - Patriots

It would have been worth it the end, right ?

You think Barcelona have hit the rock bottom and it can't get any worse, but it really just do every other game week. Rayo Vallecano really are in a good form, but the defeat would be as embarrassing as losing to them if they were are the bottom of the table.

It would have yeah, Should have parlayed Rayo with Sassuolo in Serie A, that was the most obvious for me, would have taken over 20/1 too. Just didn't make a move on it and stayed with Osasuna ML instead. Was a bad choice as the match progressed, they were there for nil-nil and got it.

Barca's not in such bad shape I'd say. They lost against an in-form team. Alarm bells not quite ringing so loudly but we'll have to wait til UCL group is done to see just how bad the damage is.
6814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Week 7 Predictions (73.2% accuracy) on: October 28, 2021, 05:40:53 AM
Sorry to bump into this thread but yes, accuracy without odds don't mean anything. For example, on my own thread, my accuracy is less than 10% from season to season (and currently on a rather high >10%) but that's because the majority of the bets are longshot odds.

I know some people (and even on this forum) sell their picks advertising high accuracy, but the only reason people would pay for signals is to make profit.

If you only bet on 15/10 odds, you'd need 66% accuracy just to break even, so 70% is necessary to be profitable on those. And in my experience, those posting 70%+ accuracy have a healthy number of picks below 15/10.

So odds are, to me, completely necessary -- you can always include them after you make predictions. Also, because a 3/1 underdog is in a very different bracket to a 20/1 underdog Wink
6815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 27, 2021, 05:38:27 PM
So all the sure bets didn't go our way, except if you backed Milan. Massive win for Salertinata. Even Sassuolo ML today wasn't impressive, and they already lead by a goal now (imagine how it must feel to see bookies rate you so poorly at home), but I expect Juve to at least get a goal back... not a shot on goal yet though. Zapata on a hattrick at Sampdoria too. Feels like the goals just keep flowing quarter way to the season.
6816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 27, 2021, 02:13:53 PM
So, Barcelona will travel to Vallecas to play Rayo, they haven't won an away game in the league so far, they'll miss a couple of key players like Frankie and Fati, and Rayo are unbeaten at home (4wins)...gonna be an interesting evening, lads  Roll Eyes  Rayo +1.0 ahc @1.6 is value 👍
Tempting but if I go for Rayo, I go outright, and still, not tasty enough.

Whereas Osasuna, who gets this guy back into form, are 11/1 Wink

embarrassing how they've been treating their players over the years. How does that make a supporter feel like?
they're fuming, that's why they take it out on Koeman...the other day a bunch of fans started harrassing him when he was leaving the stadium, they started yelling at him and kicking his car, he was with his wife btw :/

That's not... nice, or logical. They ought to be harassing Barca's upper echelons, not the coach. Not that I condone physical harassment of any sort, but surely the know the true enemy. And yes, Koeman was the one on that famous Suarez phonecall, but he was doing the dirty job of someone else.
6817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 27, 2021, 10:56:15 AM
Well, lads I totally forgot about this again. You'd swear I have memory loss or something how I continuously forget about this competition. Anyway, I did say you could probably consider my entry a donation Cheesy, and that appears so. I also used a temporary email, and I'll be honest I'm probably not going to go into the effort of remembering that considering I'm already several weeks behind Tongue.

It's alright, I don't mind picking up the wooden spoons.

You could and should still play for the weekly yellow caps ($50) and the weekly predictions (2.5 mbtc prizes or thereabouts). I don't want to give false hopes and say you could still place after missing so many weeks BUT I'd enter all my predictions for every gameweek you're able to if you can, if that's the last thing you do Smiley

And yeah. Zidane's the best but he's already said no. Poch and Nagelsmann would be awesome but they're not done with their projects yet. Glazers have a business model that keeps them in profit without winning trophies or playing beautiful football. They see OGS as a critical part of that model. He's staying. Only thing I can think of now that'll get him the boot is relegation (heh heh).
6818  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin metrics “INSANELY BULLISH”! Can the King go to 200K or more this cycle? on: October 27, 2021, 09:12:05 AM
Anything could happen. But, when most people start being cautious then no one could hold the market. I mean all the investors who had watched bitcoin markets by 2013 and 2017, definitely will look for bearish market from January 2022 which means they may not add new bitcoin to their portfolio. So, when market sentiment turns then understood cycle will persist.

Only whales could take the current bullish trend till mid of next year. They need to trigger FOMO to make individual investors to help them.

That's something I've been thinking of. Anyone new to the space reads or is told that Bitcoin comes and goes in cycles, extreme and spending little time near the peak. So they see 2021 as the peak. But as I said, this looks like anything but the 2013 and 2017 cycles -- if they're paying attention. Fundamentals have never been so strong, network elements never been so stable, individual influence never so negligible (hence why it will require concerted whale effort to bring the required momentum for mid-2022 rally extension.
6819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: October 27, 2021, 05:11:59 AM
Hey all. So I guess not enough people seem to be interested in paying the fee to continue this round.

I count 3 people only who also don't mind the "rest of season" idea to start a new pool (I actually already created it) to only start counting points beginning from Game Week 4 of Group Stage.

That's still 10 games to go, so it's not bad.

No fee, and a small prize from me at the end. It won't be as much exposure as I'd have hoped so it will just be a token gift from me to the winner (maybe 2 winners).

Put max bet on Arsenal, and at HT, 13 from 12 corners and a yellow is probably a record for this thread. In comparison, Milan sat back after the goal, that game only had HT at 6 thanks to 2 cards apiece.

But both second halves disappointed =\
