Hey Minerjones,
I am looking to sell 1, maybe 2 of these. Doing on behalf of a friend, and based in New Zealand. Haven't used this forum before, have just joined today to try and sell these coins. Looking to sell for BTC value, as opposed to USD. Where are you based?
Thanks! Reuben

6802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does China hate Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2018, 12:37:50 AM
More FUD from this "legendary" member.  China doesn't "hate" bitcoin, China simply wishes to control bitcoin just as they look to control everything in their country.  China is a communist country through and through still to this day.  Any country that block websites like Facebook should be look at as a communist sate.  China simply doesn't want money leaving the country and being un-taxed while doing so.  They simply see Bitcoin as a way for their people to gain more power against their regime.

There are still OTC (over the counter)options to buy bitcoin NO MATTER WHAT happens, so lets not lose sight of that.  There's a lot more to play out here before we go a declare bitcoin over for good in China.
6803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is garbage. on: February 10, 2018, 11:32:29 PM
It has come to my attention (this thread) that many of you still have no clue about the lightning network.  Have you guys not seen fees and transaction times lowering and speeding up?

Here is an article those of you unfamiliar with the Lightning Network should read ASAP- https://medium.com/@melik_87377/lightning-network-enables-unicast-transactions-in-bitcoin-lightning-is-bitcoins-tcp-ip-stack-8ec1d42c14f5

Now take a look at where the hash rate is- https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate

Transaction cost-  https://blockchain.info/charts/cost-per-transaction

Also outlets like Coinbase are FINALLY starting to implement SegWit.

Bitcoins future is still very bright and the blockchain can ALWAYS be updated to make Bitcoin better.  Don't let a "Legendary" status member influence you, the status means little to nothing here.  If you read his trust it looks like his agenda is pretty clear.  FUD spreader.
6804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most cryptocurrencies will crash to zero on: February 10, 2018, 11:26:04 PM
100% most cryptocurrencies will crash that's a FACT! Andreas Antonopoulos himself has stated this many times.  In fact he tells people all of the time that he isn't sure Bitcoin will be around in the end by any means!  What he's sure of and what I am sure of is that Crytpocurrency is here to stay!

Let's keep in mind that most cryptocurrency coins are built with no sound plan and were created as a payment system like Bitcoin.  Bitcoin and it's blockchain platform can always be updated and in my mind Bitcoin has already beat out all other payment systems (take a look at the LN network if you are worried about Bitcoin as a payment medium).  I want to invest in coins like ADA and IOTA that have real world uses outside of needing to be connected to Bitcoin.

This is very much like the dot.com craze but lets not forget that websites now run the entire world and some of those websites became global giants and still thrive today.  Most will die, but some will remain and prosper.
6805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I used to own 10,000 bitcoin... here is how I lost it all. on: February 10, 2018, 11:19:07 PM
Whether this story is real or fake it should be a valuable lesson to us all.  No, not that you should have kept all 10,000 and became a multi-millionaire, but to let go of the past!  I personally have a very hard time of doing so.  I always have.  I think of family members whom were taken advantage of by "financial advisors" and what I could have done better to help save them.  I think of all the money I've lost making poor investments, whether it was because I was sloppy about investing or things simply didn't pan out.

Whatever it might be if you live in the past you're likely going to die there.  It sucks, it'll burn and you'll want to let rip you apart at times believing it's what you deserve, but it's not.  Whether it's the loss of money, and X-gf, whatever...life still goes on and can be amazing.  We all die with nothing don't forget that.  Accumulating wealth is great but it doesn't last forever and it doesn't equal happiness.  Fight on is the moral here.
6806  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Ledger Nano S security issues on: February 10, 2018, 10:55:58 PM
Lol..the first batch of around 2000 sodl out in a few hours.
I subscribed for the notification, hope the next batch won't be sodl out just as fast.

Yeah...I hear ya..lots of people bought them as collectable items just like i did
I mostly ended up buying both Trezor and Ledger to support the industry.

Nice gesture..i bought the ledger nano and blue..both trezor in black and white..left them all wrapped never to be used. Then bought nano and trezor again to be used. Now i am awaiting 6 new batch one Trezor T models
Maybe I should pickup some backups in case I need to restore. How is the blue?

I've talked to a techy about Blue and they said they were extremely unimpressed. It looks cool as hell and I almost bought it for more than I should have at one point but thankfully I decided to hold off.  I didn't buy the ledger Nano direct from the manufacturer (like my boy Krogo here taught me to only do) so I won't keep anything on it but I did open it up to play with just for fun and to test out.  I think why I dislike the Nano is why my buddy didn't like the blue and it's just the software and hardware combined.  Ledger needs one platform and not these stupid apps.  The nano hardware, two buttons, doesn't hold a charge..it's just sloppy manufacturing.  I keep 90% on paperwallets and 10% between hardware wallets and hot wallets personally.
6807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is REALLY going on with Bitconnect right now?! on: February 10, 2018, 08:54:57 PM
Basically they said that due to the cease and desist orders served them by the Texas government they were going to stop the lending programme. So the bcc coins were returned to the wallets and then there was panic selling which dropped the price from 235$ to 50$. I cashed out at 17$ because the site traffic was huge, could not log in for days. Of course bcc is useless without the lending programme so it wad inevitable that the coin would dump.

Thanks for sharing! They shut down the platform because of those letters knowing that most users would catch on because the states were putting such pressure on them.  That's when they knew the exit made most sense.  That being said when you "invest" money with them you use BTC correct?  Then they swap for their worthless token.  When you went to cash out, were you actually given BTC back?  How did that all work?

Does your account say anything about BitconnectX right now?  It looks to me as if the lending program is going to be an option just as it was with Bitconnect.  I am wondering if while logged in are they trying to get you to sign up for BitconnectX and promoting the interest you can earn from their lending platform again?
6808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Bitcoin will hit 100K on: February 10, 2018, 07:59:40 PM
None of us have any clue.  I remember speaking with very intelligent and much more knowledgeable Bitcoiners on here before the blow up to 20k and none of them had any idea we'd get to that number as quickly as we did.  I remember saying I bet if Amazon announced bitcoin as a new payment means that Bitcoin would hit 15K, and this was when Bitcoin was at 8k.  It took much less new than that to blow past 15k.  At the end of the day if you believe in this technology just know that the sky is very high but no certainty is ever promised.
6809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dangerous ? on: February 10, 2018, 07:50:56 PM
Bitcoin isn't dangerous to any extent.  The only thing that makes anything dangerous is the greedy ill-will of man.  That also includes governments fear of Bitcoin from taking away from it's bottom line.  Governments fear bitcoin because politicians are lined directly with banks and big business whom have paid to get them elected.  Some of the biggest fight back is due to bitcoin being a simply smarter tech than what does world can offer and it scares the elite.  They fear losing control of the people.  Both however can and will co-exist.
6810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth? on: February 10, 2018, 07:47:30 PM
Social media plays a massive role in EVERYTHING we do today.  Adreas calls Bitcoin the internet of money, which now show's we've come full circle in that everything these days the world is internet based.  We talk to friends and family via social media more than ever.  We meet new people, businesses, products etc..all via social media these days.  Social media is how the world communicates now and the word of Bitcoin has been passed through social media like a freight train.  It has and will continue to play a large role.
6811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum? on: February 10, 2018, 07:40:51 PM
There is hardly any comparison to be made between these to crytpocoins.  First off they are made for completely different things.  Bitcoin was created as a global payment system.  Ethereum was made for smart contracts and applications being built on their platform and Ether to be used as a medium to pay one another.  Ethereum has a lot of issues of it's own it needs to worry about, one glaring issues being that it only utilizes a single layer vs other like ADA who utilize 2..for smart contracts that's an issues. Long story short two coins two different jobs entirely.

6813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Natural vs Artificial Money and why Bitcoin is the greatest thing to happen to.. on: February 09, 2018, 05:44:41 AM
"Natural vs Artificial Money and why Bitcoin is the greatest thing to happen for alternative energy"   - This didn't fit in the title so there you go.  I wanted to share this article a buddy wrote whom is much smarter than I and felt it's important all Bitcoin supporters read and learn form it so that we can help Bitcoins future by educating others.  That's what this is all about and we must not lose sight of that.  You hear the Bitcoin energy pundits but what do you say back in defense?
Take a moment to read this and the next time it comes up you'll be able to respond to those trying to talk ill of our BTCeloved

6814  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Ledger Nano S security issues on: February 09, 2018, 02:25:27 AM
If Ledger happens to stop by this post I'd like to say hello.  Now I'd like to request a piece of technology not from the 1990's.  My YakBak and TalkBoy are both more impressive pieces of technology and I'm pretty sure I didn't even know what a computer was then.  To anyone reading this and considering buying I highly suggest Trezor as I've heard much better things and I've tested Ledger and it's poo poo..  It does suck that that Trezor doesn't hold as many Alts but besides that I can promise it's better.
6815  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Important Lighting Network reading- for everyone! on: February 09, 2018, 01:59:07 AM
NP guys!  But the smart mo fo who typed this bad boy up deserves all credit. I've been looking for articles like this that teach the non-coder/programmer (as badly as I'd die to be) and they aren't easy to find.

6816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What YouTube guys/gals do you watch besides Andreas Antonopoulos on: February 09, 2018, 01:07:22 AM
I have just started to watch Youtube videos more so and I've been trying to find maybe 1 or 2 more guys to follow.  I am looking mostly for news and information/updates etc more so than trading.  I'd like a guy who talks a little trading but not the whole time.  If you watch youtube and not Andreas I'd have a hard time taking your opinion seriously and that's not to be an ass but I wan't to hear from informed members please!

Btw Andreas is not a "youtube guy" but you get my point.

Edit: Ivan on Tech has really caught my eye
6817  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin bubble by Goldman Sachs on: February 09, 2018, 01:02:42 AM
of course we are in a bubble. There are many altcoins which have no place on the blockchain but there are here cos of the ICO fever.

I think many of these altcoins will go bust this year or next but the reliable coins especially those that are enabling the blockchain world like ETH or NEO will see their value go even higher as money from those altcoins, as mentioned, move to the reliable coins.

This is the future we ought to be looking forward to. When that happens, I would think crypto is already mainstream

I would be careful here a bit though.  Ethereum runs on single layer which is not optimal for smart contracts. That's a big deal.  I like coins such ADA more so because they work on 2 layers among other things.  Personally if an Alt right now is simply a payments system for the world or a store of value..I'm not buying.  I like stuff more along the lines of ADA and IOTA.  Study this shit, and don't watch dumb people on youtube for gods sake.
6818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is REALLY going on with Bitconnect right now?! on: February 09, 2018, 12:41:03 AM
I have been fighting against this scum for a long time.  I hate seeing people fall victim to such evil.  I got in to the financial industry so that I could try and help from within and have blogged relentlessly to try and educate those on how Ponzi schemes work and why BCC was one.  So now that BCC pulled their exit scam ..the news is insanely vague.  Millions and millions and I've even heard up to a billion were stolen in Bitcoin from investors.  Why is there so little news on this? This is a massive deal and I've heard not a thing in national or world news.

They are clearly planning or running an ICO right now ..BitconnectX.   They look to be ramping up to try and do it all over again.

Can any of you here help share your story?  What happened exactly when they announced the shut down?   What does your account look like right now, functionality wise ? Etc..
6819  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin bubble by Goldman Sachs on: February 09, 2018, 12:24:38 AM
You stated that the technology is not improving but it is clear you've not seen what the Lightning Network has already done for Bitcoin in the past couple weeks.  Do you buy bitcoin because if so you may have noticed lower fees thanks to LN getting to work.  Transaction times, while not perfect...much better.  You've also got exchanges finally adding SegWit like Coinbase....FINALLY you scum bags.

Other coins looking to utilize Smart Contracts have made head way utilizing 2+ layers (unlike Ethereum) like ADA.  Imagine the possibility of billions of people having financial services they've never dreamed they could before.  The blockchain and smart contracts can make that happen.  The blockchain will ALWAYS be able to be updated.

Goldman is trying to figure out how they can profit from this new tech that they are starting to realize is the revolutionary game changer that so many are starting to see too.  Plenty of  Goldman sach guys love the B coin.  "So, are any of today's cryptocurrencies going to be an Amazon or a Google, or will they end up like many of the now-defunct search engines? Just because we are in a speculative bubble does not mean current prices can't increase for a handful of survivors," Strongin said.

6820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question for all you holders on: February 09, 2018, 12:13:07 AM
I started buying BTC about 2 or 2.5 years ago and have just about made what I've put in back.   I'm a financial guy and diversity is everything to me.  As such I highly recommend everyone be completely diversified so that if it does you don't lose everything (Let's take a look at the horror stories going on right now with Bitconnect buyers).  BTC vs Gold?  Dumbest question ever.  Own both. If you believe in something and you've done all the homework you possibly can then maybe you just HODL for life.
