I use amazon pretty often even though the packages I order ship outside of my country. What would this be about?

Thanks for the extremely detailed update FXO.  Cool
6823  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: June 02, 2014, 12:12:49 PM
For you 64 bit users, waterfox is a pretty cool version of firefox. At least for my 64 bit pc, the memory management was better by ages than the regular firefox.

Also there is Qupzilla is a version of firefox using Qt web. It's the most lightweight browser I could find. Unlike all other browsers it runed perfectly smooth on my crappy old notebook.

Tomatocage did the right thing leaving him a negative feedback rating. That's what you get for sending people threats.  Tongue

I'm waiting for the payments. Sad to see this campaign go, it's interesting to see all those new one rushing in though.

They don't deny being a hyip but yet they claim that they generate real profit. Those are two things that simply don't go together.

Do those numbers seem right to you? 31 Mhash/s for 200$? And yet those 31k Mhash/s only mined coins worth of 14$ in the perion of one month. They clearly have no clue how mining works, I'm pretty sure those "datacenters" they claim to be operating are non existent and that you get paid by the money of other depositors.

Would you feel comfortable depositing large amounts of your money to a website that claims to be a HYIP just to be rewarded with less than 7% monthly profit? They could run away with your money at any given time. That's how hyips work and how they always will. They don't operate those scemes just out of the kindness of their heart. This is a sceme that pays people with other people's money and is operated by someone with the sole purpose to get away with the money. I'd rather gamble with my money than "Invest" them to a non existing mining operation.
6830  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: May 30, 2014, 11:00:28 PM
I once used https://www.xmlgold.eu/ and egopay to sell 10$ of BTC

This might not be a way to buy/sell bitcoin in bulk but the registration process is really fast, there is no verification needed by one of the two websites, it's fully anonymous and the transactions are near instant. I think that xml also have an active account in this forum to help users.
6831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: May 30, 2014, 10:55:25 PM
Quote about Gambler's Fallacy from Wikipedia.

Quote
The most famous example of the gambler’s fallacy occurred in a game of roulette at the Monte Carlo Casino on August 18, 1913,[5] when the ball fell in black 26 times in a row. This was an extremely uncommon occurrence, although no more nor less common than any of the other 67,108,863 sequences of 26 red or black. Gamblers lost millions of francs betting against black, reasoning incorrectly that the streak was causing an "imbalance" in the randomness of the wheel, and that it had to be followed by a long streak of red

The whole piece is worth a read:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler's_fallacy

Edit:

Also, botdice is a fun tool to use. Give it a look if you are thinking to use martingale:

There's too much blackmailing in this forum. Shouldn't something be done about it?

"Hide email address from public?" should be selected by default on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=account

This has been the case since 2009...

I left the admin account set to the original SMF theme so if I somehow completely wedge the custom theme I can still get in to fix it.

I've got a neat little 12x12 coin image to replace those pip stars with.  Should look nice.  Also some nice button images to try.

The registration page has "hide your e-mail address" unchecked by default.  I must fix that in php before we can open up.

The Announcements forum is currently moderator access only.

No need to contact him. Unless OP has found an actual bug, this is not something new.

I can't get why coins are trying to copy the success of doge. It ain't gonna happen. Sorry to say bad things while it's still this early but if this coin enters a btc market it' will be overpcided and end up being a bubble. And that's a fact.

This is not a post to advertise or help me get profit.

It fits all the requipments to be a hyip. I'm not gonna go through them right now. Just avoid it at all costs! Maybe I'll update this post later when I have time if this gains some attention.

6840  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Just double it - double your Bitcoin in 4 business days on: May 28, 2014, 07:15:23 PM
Please select one of the following answers:

1) You are a Ponzi and rely upon new deposits to pay out the old, in order to pay out such unrealistic gains.

2) You are not a Ponzi but are just an amazing super awesome investor who can truly double bitcoin amounts.

3) You are not claiming to be either of the above and are just a thief who wants to make off with the money.

Not that anyone with a human brain should be able to understand this is a ponzy.
