Wow what a match, congratulations to us for winning this tough one. Nigeria won 3-2 Cameron. Ighalo (of Nigeria) opening the scoring at the 19 minutes then Boheken (of Cameron) equalize at the 41st minutes followed by another goal by Jie (of Cameron) at the 44th minutes. At this point I thought we were out but ighalo and iwobi (of Nigeria) had other plans they both scored under 3mins (ighalo 63rd & iwobi 66th minutes) to win us the match. Now we wait for the other game coming later in the evening between Egypt vs South Africa. I'm routing for Egypt at the same time hoping they lose as playing S.A  is more preferable then Egypt lol

The team had to dig deep after going behind from their 1 - 0 lead, Ighalo was stunning today and could have easilyvscored at an hattrick, as well as they the team there were a number opportunities to increase the lead, but the ball just wouldn't go in.

I woud rather we face Egypt for the Quarter finals because, It seems the team gets prepared better when they are meant to play against a tougher side.

Finally one solid Copa match in normal hours in my part of the world. Hopefully, it will be an entertaining one. Last two finals on Copa were between Argentina and Chile and they were not very enjoyable. This time the stakes are a bit lower so maybe we will see more open match with coaches willing to play for goal more.

I'm afraid it's going to be another typical Chile vs Argentina game, but I'll be watching since I've got some free time.

I've lost quite a loy on Argentina during this tournament (Including my picks in the pool) because of my love for Messi and I'll still take Argentina to win tonight @ 1.89 seem a pretty fair value.

you're right AC Milan needs new owners who have financial health to be able to restore the glory of AC Milan in Europe they need to buy some quality players in order to become a strong team.

Haven't AC Mlian been spending quite well enough for a team that's not even playing Champions League football, spending nearly £200 million on transfer during the 17/18 and also in 18/19 season seems relatively high IMO, but yet the results are still disappointing. All they need is probably a more efficient coach with an entirely different philosophy.

Well Benin with the big upset over Morocco in penalties to advance and Senegal with the 1-0 win over Uganda.
Tonight I will be taking SOUTH Aftrica to defeat host nation Egypt and Cameroon to advance against Nigeria
If one of these 2 teams wins tonight then I come ahead but the major upset I hope for is Egypt  Grin

Benin winning was indeed a big upset, Morocco had the biggest chance of winning very late into the game after they were awarded a penalty, but that is gone already, I doubt their fairytale will continue though as they'll be facing Senegal in the quarter finals.

Today's Match are not really easy to predict, Nigeria vs Cameroon especially, I expect a very close affair with Nigeria having the edge over Cameroon, Egypt are heavy favorites on the paper, however, I also support that 7.3 odds for South Africa to win is worth a big shot.

My friend told me that Ronaldinho is coming out of retirement to play for Barcelona again. Did anyone else hear about this?

LOL!

That's the most hilarious thing I've read this week, Barcelona are not in a crisis and only a crisis would have warranted a player such has Ronaldinho come out of retirement to play for Barca.

Frank Lampard is the new Chelsea manager: https://twitter.com/ChelseaFC/status/1146697129328545792

I think he was the only manager willing to accept the job while not being to make any signings, so it's not like Chelsea had no other choice but to offer him a contract...IMO he won't last too long, looking forward to see who gets the sack first: him or Solskjaer.

This is going to be interesting. Lampard will be sacked first. MU board is a bit cold headed compared to Chelsea and let's not discount the experience gained by Ole last season.

Let's wait and see, I think Lampard will get lucky enough this season, he's not going to be sacked, As for Solskjaer, it's going to be a matter of the first 10 games, I think.

This was indeed the tournament of surprised.I was just thinking before the game that Chile should get an easy win and the semi finals were without any big surprise then it comes Peru and make a really good win against a Chile without bright ideas.

I think though that now it is obvious who the winner of this tournament will be,Brasil.
Brazil is not sure to be a champion in this turnament, Peru become underdog team in this tournament, they compete with extraordinary spirit.
Brazil could lose if they underestimated the power of Peru just like Chile did. if Peru become a champion it will be good for argentina because they will not be bullied again by media lol

Do you remember Chile has won the last two editions of the Copa America even when everyone would have expected Argentina to lift the trophy on both occasion, Brazil needs to be very cautious, If not, the story of the underdogs might be to continued.

^ ^  Both of you, on top of your head, which player would you pick, outside of Neymar and Griezmann, if you were to make that decision then?

I was a big fan Luka Jovic and was happy to read about Barca having its radar on him and hoping Barcelona would make a move for him as a potential replacement for Luis Suarez, before Jovic joined Real Madrid.

As things currently are as If I could make the calls , I'd rather Barcelona sign just De Ligt(that's probably not going to happen due to his imminent move to Juventus) and then close business for this transfer window.

Sack Valverde and bring in a more versatile coach who would know well enough;

1. to play Semedo ahead of Sergi Roberto in the right wing back.
2. that playing Coutinho and Dembele together is not a taboo.
3. not to Play Coutinho on wing leave him as an 8, he's creative but not as pacey as you'd expect a winger to be.
4. that it's not compulsory to have an energetic(power driven) midfielder on the pitch to get things done, creativity matters (as far as Barcelona is concerned)
5. to deploy Dembele as the first choice left winger.
6. Messi dependence leaves Barca extremely at a disadvantage.

There’s a couple of good teams in this tournament by my god, there are some really crap teams too. Is it just me or are most of the goalkeepers terrible? I’ve seen some really bad goalkeeping so far.
Very true and it's sad really at this stage of football, African football doesn't seem to have developed much, even though there are top quality African players leading their respective European clubs.
I think this is mostly due to extreme corruption at every level of the game, most of these countries football association, as well as CAF aren't entirely concerned with the development of african football, rather they are concerned with make millions of dollars from the respective offices they hold.

I've followed the tournament thus far and I've been far from impressed with what I've seen, I do hope the knock out stages offers much more for we viewers.
Nigeria vs Cameroon
This one is definitely gonna be a cracker, I'm hoping Nigeria comes out on top though.

Cameroon vs Nigeria is always like a derby due both countries being very close and sharing borders, I'll be backing Nigeria to win too and I hope they'll improve from their unimpressive performance so far in the tournament.
6829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa América 2019 Discussion Thread & Prediction Pool (registration closed) on: July 03, 2019, 06:07:20 PM
However, who is leading the pool here? I can't see any information about that here, would be better to see the leading one.

Here is currently how the pool standing is, Hahay is still leading but a number of users are not far behind.

Ronaldo can make difference alone and we have seen it a couple of times.

I'm not going to argue who the better player is between Messi and Ronaldo, because both of them are really extraordinary in their own field, but I'm only going to say since Ronaldo is more of a center forward and all he has to do for his teams is to be clinical, then It's probably easier compared to when the whole team player has to go through you just like it happens with Messi.

England won the toss and they elected to bat.

Not sure about today's game, England are my favourites and I have New Zealand in the office pool, so I'm not sure who I want to win. England losing would certainly make the tournament more exciting for everyone involved!

I usually like betting on batsmen scoring over x but with England's batsmen being inconsistent and the NZ bowlers being on fire i'm not sure I want to touch that market  Tongue

Think i'll just back New Zealand at (3.25) and avoid the player props this time.

I'm somewhat tempted to back this bet, but I went with England to have an easy win in the pool, so I'm just gonna sit this one out.

I went win England to score over 84.5 Runs in the first 15 Overs. @ 1.60

I don't understand that with Argentina they always look disappointing in crucial matches, many bet that Argentina won but the opposite happened.

The team is a complete mess, and needs complete overhaul with a new set generation of players just like Italy and Netherlands are doing before it can start to change for the better.

I'm only sorry for messi who is likely to finish is international career without a national trophy, but that doesn't mean he's not one of the greatest player to have graced the football pitch.

The stage is set for the biggest game of the Copa America 2019, The lineups are out already.

I'm still backing Argentina to win this match but TBH, Brazil team looks pretty more solid right from the goalkeeper to the centre forward.

Juventus always get quality free players as Juventus fans I'm happy with Rabiot's arrival as a Juventus player. I think for now it's enough midfielders, it's time to wait for news about De Light

This should be the Deligt week and if he doesn't sign this week the deal can fail and he can sign for another team (PSG in pole position)

Besides that, according to rumors Juventus is active with Pogba now.

Rabiot for Juventus is a great deal for the club, for free, Wow!

De ligt news has died down a bit, Juventus are probably into the finalization already.

Tottenham has signed Ndombele for a club record fee of about £54 million, the fee is said could increase to £63 million according to goal.com

Now I'm watching Kenya - Senegal game and no surprise that Senegal dominating, but score is still 0:0 at 56 minute. Mane had missed penalty in the first half. But as I understand this score is enough for Senegal to reach next round because Flashscore shows them in 2nd place.

Mane was able to make amends of mistake as he found the twice, one from the penalty spot.

Senegal finished the game with a 3 nil victory and ended as the group's runner up behind Algeria who won all their 3 group matches.
6838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: July 02, 2019, 10:54:33 AM
^  It won't.  He's just gonna be a problem at the club.  Like the last time he was at Barca and just like he is right now at PSG.  What a liability.

Get Griezmann instead.  IMHO.

Either player would be a plague for Barcelona, and they should be avoided at all cost, but this Barcelona Board knows nothing!  Neymar attitude won't change, and he'd jump on another as soon as he gets another chance, and Griezmann style won't suite Barcelona!

@Ronnie: Rohit got his 50 which means you won the bet on him however he is going to ruin your over under 9.5 six bet LOL.
Already 3 over boundary in only 15 overs :-P

He gives with one hand and takes away with the other  Tongue

India have only scored five 6s in their last 3 games (I think) so it's typical they'd start smacking the ball around as soon as my bet was placed  Wink

Hi Ronnie, are the round bonuses still on going ? I was a winner in round 5 but I missed out on it ( I wasn't aware I was one the winners, though), However, I finished as joint-top point scorer for the just concluded round too.

Don’t think I’m going to finish in the prize positions but I’ll keep going & submit my predictions. I’ve never been somebody who gives up in life so I will keep going Smiley

I was performing woefully too, until the last two rounds, There's still fixtures to go, whichbis more than a enough to finish among the top users, It's still an open competition IMO, and it's getting a bit more tricky now, since users with the least points and had no chance of winning could pick against the expected outcome with the hope of an upset.
